Nice clean motel, new floorin with comfortable bed and pillows. They are working hard on renovations there! Parking was tight, we did have to park on the street our last night there

Parking lot was tiny

It was ok stay we got two rooms one of the rooms required the Maintance crew to go in and they took about 3 hours to get the work done and they never replenish soap or coffee no big deal right but for 40 bucks I could stayed at a better place 1st and last time. Also parking not available had to stay parked outside structure only one night I was able to park inside. Wouldn’t recommend to stay here

There is not enough parking space when the hotel is full. The room is small compared to most other motels of the same class.

It some motel, not a hotel. There was no parking. The night clerk told us to park in the street and said it would be fine. We couldn’t find any street parking nearby. It was midnight so we didn’t feel safe. We didn’t spend the night. I didn’t ask for my money back as I didn’t think that would be fair to them, But we couldn’t stay.

The property lacked sufficient parking for all the cars.

Needs better soap and shampoo. Towels were marginal. Delayed check-in due to computer problems. Parking inadequate. Had to park on nearby street. Inconvenient.

Parking is limited, so first come first serve, but you can park on the street. Didn’t have an ice machine. Other than that, good motel for the price. Clean and had good beds.

The room was small, Bed was not comfortable. A/C didnt work, parking was limited to first come first serve otherwise we had to park fown the street. There front clerk was rude like we were inconviencing them. We will never reserve a room with this hotel again.

Personal service. Staff gave map to frequet areas and very knowledgeable on area. Pretty room and daily house keeping. Very clean and nice- we've been traveling 3 weeks so this hotel was great. Shower was hot and great pressure!! Road noice not bad. Only problem was No ice on site.

Dishes were stored under the sink and many of them were dirty. The sponge provided was wet when we arrived. No paper towels or dish towels provided with kitchenette. There was no spatula, but there were two ladles. Floor was also very dirty and the tv didn’t work.

Upon check in we were told the sheets are white and you will be charged if they get any stains. Okay, I never plan on staining anything to begin with and im not careless but it made me feel stressed that anything they could try to fault me at would be additional charges. Then when i pulled down the bedding, there was cigarette holes in the sheets and another hole on the top of one of the beddings. We tried to find the front desk number, there's no front desk number on the phones...so you just have to Google it.. they said they knew about it. I would not stay here again, it did seem newly remodeled but already dirty. Absolutely no bells or whistles. Should be a motel 6.

24 hr trip for nephew's football game. Only real complaint is that the floors were not swept at all. Room's floor was covered in crumbs and other debris. The rest of the room was clean and served its purpose for one night.

Sorry. Stained and worn out sheets and towels, run down property, extremely overpriced for a dump.

Always a wonderful experience at Crystal Lodge. The pictures don’t do it justice. You won’t regret staying here. Neil is very personable and has been hotel management for many years. You will receive great treatment for the price point and then some. Just be respectful to the property, Neil and his family. You’ll always have a good experience staying here.

Immediately turned off by the room condition - stained bedspread and damaged wall.

Room was clean, parking is limited. Despite the amount of air freshener placed in the room it failed to completely cover up the smell of smoke and cigarettes.

Room itself was well maintained but had an odor and unusable towels. The towels were stained and worn out to the point they were abrasive. The road noise was loud from the front/roadside rooms. The exterior of the place very run down and neglected. I won’t be staying here again.

Excellent value for overnight stay in this area. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. 15minutes from beach.

My husband and I just needed the room for the night during our travels. Staff called ahead of time to confirm check in time which I appreciated because it enabled us to notify them of our late night arrival. The gentleman that greeted us was all smiles and very pleasant for us arriving at 10pm. Room was very charming with the ceiling medallion and crown moulding. We were very surprised/delighted at the remodeled bathroom, comfortable bed and soft sheets/comforter. The room is very small, the fan has one speed and if you’re picky about pillows I would recommend traveling with your own; but for a quick stop over night, it was perfect.

The property looks like a typical older motel from the outside, but they clearly did a lot for the interiors: key card entry, tile bathrooms, laminate floors, ceiling fan, crown moulding, nice bed and bedding. It had typical issues of an older building like you can hear any and all footsteps outside, so hopefully you have respectful neighbors. Ask for second floor away from the street (what they offered us). They can't do much about the outside and the plain neighborhood, but it was a nice, clean room.

Very old and outdated furniture. Air-conditioner so noisy and had a constant ringing. No closet. No tissues. Had to ring a bell at an outside window of th building. The manager( not really sure) opened the door to the office with only socks on, no shoes. Told us we had the cheapest room. Parking , first come, first serve. Never heard of such a thing. Reviews very misleading.

Basic lodging. The room was clean and spacious. King bed was very comfortable, TV was large. It's right next to a busy street, so bring your earplugs! Very good value for the money.

The room was awesome. I've paid far more and received far less. It was on the small side, but the whole room has been recently remodeled and the shower and toilet area was far above the normal.

WiFi didn't work very well.

Great and easy checkin; bed was super comfy; we had a nice quiet room on the back side of the building. Shower and AC and everything had no issues. Excellent value for the price.

Old motel that has been nicely upgraded in the bathrooms. Rear unit, on ground floor very quiet except for some construction noise within the motel. The units are very small, hardly space to put your suitcases and beds are soft. Two good restaurants across the street, MX and Thai. We had the one handicapped parking space.

We used the hotel just for an overnight stay. The room is spacious, clean, and equipped with a full kitchen. The bathroom is great, and the parking is easily accessible. I highly recommend the hotel.

Stern person at check-in with many harsh rules such as park between lines or be towed. If you are a minute past 11 on checkout day you pay for another day. But the place was clean and a good price.

Rather than accept payment over the phone for a stay extension, the manager preferred that I lose 3 hours of pay and drive 100 miles roundtrip. I am impressed with his lack of empathy and flexibility.

I had stayed here one other time for a quick overnight. It was less expensive than most and not the typical place I book. I usually stay at 4 or 5 star places but knew this place was easy, clean, comfortable and simple. The manager was nice, friendly and it was a fast check-in. The room was clean, everything functioned, the pillows and bed were much better than many higher end places that have been terrible. It does not have other creature comforts (if you are looking for resort features) as it's a motel, but it's a great little place! Parking and access was easy and the location is fantastic in relation to getting to many things like downtown & the Main Street walk (which is becoming like the 3rd Street Promenade that Santa Monica is famous for). There are many restaurants, shops and things to do, all within a couple minute drive. The room was definitely worth the cost and if you are looking for a place to rest your head, crash out or stay over night, this place works well. If you are looking for a resort experience or all the amenities of a full service hotel with a spa, pool, restaurant, bar, etc., then this would not be your place. I have been twice now and both times were about the same experience...consistent, worked great and I was happy that I stayed. AC worked well, shower pressure was fantastic and the bathroom was spacious. The only thing negative would be the artificial/chemical "Glade" type freshener which those belong in the trash. Great Motel & Great Staff!

I received immediate personal service and they upgraded me to a beautiful room at no additional charge. Now I didn’t go walking around there. I just went straight into the room spent the night and left the next morning… Was perfect for that owner or person that was friendly.

The room was very cozy, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom shower was great. We had a room in the back so it was very quiet. My only complaint was that the man who checked us in was of few words and a little rude.

My room was quite nice, considering the outside condition of the motel. While the parking was convenient, it was a little tight in front. While it's right have a road, it's noisy during the day; okay during the night.

The price was great for a 3 night stay for the purpose of going to the Channel Islands National Park, and for driving to Santa Barba and Oxnard. There is a Thai restaurant across the street and the food is amazing. The motel is walkable to Ventura Beach which my husband and I loved. As for the room, the bathroom was newly renovated, we had a microwave and a small fridge. However the ceiling fan didn’t really work, the cabinet where the TV was placed didn’t open and it made the walking space narrow. Overall it was a great stay and will definitely stay here again.

Great location for the music hall

This property doesn’t seems to be in a great place but the rooms were beautiful and well kept. So comfortable and quiet.

Great location, close to everything. Pier , Main Street, great shopping and nursery. Clean and comfortable bedding. Great shower . Great and easy to use TV .

Front office staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Close enough to downtown for a quick 5 minute drive to restaurants while also being close to the marina. Would definitely go again on my next Ventura visit!

It was a perfect location for crossing the street for a show at the music hall. The staff were great when we thought we lost our key and didn't get back until late.

This place is really good value, location is very convenient, and it has everything you need. Quiet, comfortable bed, shower new and good water pressure, kitchenette with large fridge, parking. We stayed here to go to the Channel Islands National Park and it was very convenient. Restaurants nearby.

It was clean, quiet and convenient to what we needed.
