Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fond Du Lac

The staff that I met were nice. The property is run down. The breakfast was didn’t offer oatmeal or dairy free milk so I couldn’t eat it—I’m gluten free vegan—there was cereal, waffles you make yourself, bisquits and gravy, yogurt, bagels. The hot tub was out of order, the walls all needed a proper coat of paint, my room had been converted from the “suite” I paid for to a double queen bed room and looked weird because of it until I realized what they had done. There was no closet, the little “bar” that stuck out from the wall to hang something on was falling off, the bathroom had hair stuck to the floor in multiple places and dried crust on the countertop. One of the toilet paper holders was removed and the holder was caked with dried residue. The place was loud/walls were thin. My neighbors woke me up late/early. A repair project was going on in front of the building with gravel…new drain tile in front of the first floor rooms? The guys worked until around ten at night and were back at it by 7:30 in the morning. There were so many obvious surveillance cameras it only felt unsafe because of that—clientele they attract mainly?? The wifi was unsecured and their literature actually states they can see everything that you’re doing online, so I stayed on 5G the whole time. I never felt unsafe while there and the staff were pleasant, but I definitely wished I had paid a little more to stay at a better hotel. Sorry Microtel, you tried valiantly and thanks for your kindness.

We had a good stay at our very first microtel in room 327 except for the fact that the maid’s didn’t clean our room, the hot tub was broken, no pool, they didn’t give an iron (not even in the laundromat), the room smelled, and there was a tree in front of our window. Other than that it was great.

Have the pool and whirlpool available. Not working 😕. Cables are cracked and ready to break on the exercise equipment. Bike was broke. Safety and liability concerns

The hot tub was not working, the paint in many areas needed to be re-painted, only ice machine was in the lobby. Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. Rooms were very quiet.

Clean and quiet. Parking lot is a little small. Spaces near the door are very limited but overall a nice and cheap place to crash.

Our kids found a used syringe hidden in the closet, and when we told the desk, they just grapped it. A heavy necklace was found in the sink, so does that mean they didnt clean the sink? The hot tub was out of service and was green. The exercise equipment was missing parts and even pedals. We had a water coming out of the shower due to being a walk in shower. The angle of the floor and shower curtain would not contain the water. Water was draining out in the room. I asked for a mop after telling them the issue, and they just handed me a mop and bucket. The place could be pretty good, but neither the owners dont care or management. I hate to call this place out, but come on....

Easy access to hotel right off highway

The hot tub was out of order and looked like it had been for quite a while. The front desk clerk couldn’t find the hotels.com reservation. I was never provided wifi information. I know it’s a 2 star hotel but 2 star hotels can still be clean. Carpet stains, yellow stains on the comforter, bottom of bathtub dirty. The bed was fairly comfortable so there’s that. The lobby was dirty, a simple broom and mop would have fixed it. The breakfast goes from 6:00 to 9:00 but the hot menu items were gone by 8:00 and not replaced. Lots of promises with little effort provided from this location.

I couldn’t get into the fitness center. There were no tissues in the bathroom and the tissue dispenser was rusty. The toilet ran all night. Breakfast options were sugary cereals, overripe bananas, and some kind of mysterious gravy with biscuits.

Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. People were living on our floor cooking and the smell was unbearable. Complained but staff could care less. Never going to another one.

Bathroom floor had many pubic hairs on it and my trash cans got full. They didn’t clean my room every day but I didn’t ask them to either. I loved the microwave and fried in every room and the price was great

I stayed here for 7 days, and not once did someone come in to clean my room, no new sheets, no new bath towels unless I directly asked which is fine I don’t mind asking , but every hotel I’ve been too always has someone come in and clean through out the day. My biggest complaint was the smell of the place, not only my room but the hallways smelled so bad to where my clothes begin to smell like the place. Overall it could’ve been worse but could’ve been a whole lot better.

The floor had hair on it, the toilet was dirty and the dead bolt was missing on my room. It was disgusting but i was too tired to go somewhere else after driving 10 hours and i didn't want to just lose my money

It was below average. The bed sheets were stained with pee stains at waist level, the towels you could literally see through, and most of the lights in my room would not turn on.

The bathroom in our first room was disgusting! There looked to be urine and hair on the back of the toilet they you could only see if the lid was down. The area behind the door looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The corner by the tub and wall was black and gross. We were moved to a different room that looked cleaner but we did find a used towel hanging on the hook behind the door. We would have moved but we had someone else staying there and they said their room was fine. Also when I went to use the hairdryer it didn’t work. We tried all the buttons, switches on the dryer and the outlets. The night light came on so there was power getting to the unit. I checked on the hairdryer in our parties’ other room. His did not work either. My husband went down to the desk and asked if they had any other hairdryers and they said all the working ones were in the rooms.

My stay was not as expected. Bedding wasn't cleaned. The Hotel smells like Indian food. The bathroom was not cleaned. The Bed sheets had bad odor.

Bugs in the room, people were not rude but not friendly either.

Check in was good, fast service. My tub had other peoples hair in it, blanket had a huge stain, yellow on it!! And the A/C DID NOT WORK! We only slept in the room, but having to clean my own room before showering after arriving late was disappointing.

When staying at this hotel, the sheets on the bed had yellow staining and the bathroom toilet seat had something that wayer was easily able to get rid of. They do not keep the rooms clean. There was also a strong smell of curry on the 3rd floor. The elevator was dirty. This hotel had exposed wires from emergency lights. Not maintained at all.

TV didn't work and desk service could not help

Great price, but maybe worth spending a bit more. You get what you pay for, so I cant complain. Wifi kept cutting out, and a dead bug in the bed could have been better. Other than that, room was clean and had everything I needed.

Motel was good overall, only bad thing was the WiFi only works good in the lobby and breakfast area, I couldn’t get it in my 3rd floor room.

The beds are rock hard and the hotel tub as of 6/7/24 is out of order until further notice.

Room itself was in good condition but anything metal in the bathroom was heavily rusted. Aides of the vanity had something smeared on it, patch of something sticky with hair in it below the light switches. There was no sound proofing. You heard everyone come and go. Hardly anything left of the lumpy pillows.

Wifi didn't work. Desk clerk was rude. Room was dark, dingy and not very clean. Very little water pressure. Property is difficult to access.

The lighting in this hotel was poor. They use low wattage bulbs. The hallway and room were dark. There was no light above the desk area. Other than that, the room was comfortable and clean. Aside from the lighting I would recommend this hotel. This seems to be a practice with many hotels. They are using lower wattage bulbs to save money, but making it hard to see in the rooms. With the cost of the rooms, use brighter bulbs. Some people have a difficult time in low light.

The stay on Saturday night was fine. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable.

Just a no frills kinda place which was all i needed for the night. Easy in and easy out. Would stay again if i ever get back in the area

Easy and seamless check in friendly staff

I reserved the hotel room as a getting ready spot for my husband and groomsmen to get ready before the wedding ceremony. My husband called the hotel and they told him they did not have the booking. We had to rush to find a different hotel for the guys to get ready in. Talk about a stressful situation. We went back after the wedding and they were able to get us into our room, but very disappointed we could not use the room for the main purpose of the booking!

Best Microtel Inn I have stayed at. Very Clean and convenient I forgot a couple of items at the front desk when checking in. The front desk person brought them up to the room

The carpet in the room was dirty, as was much of the hotel. The breakfast at 7am was already out of most things, and when I asked for cups from the front desk staff he was visibly irritated. I would not recommend.

Nice place. Need sign for road to get to. Road needs work and weeds cut down.

Easy access to hotel right off highway

Room was relatively clean except for gnats flying around. Common areas were not vacuumed or clean. When I arrived at 10 pm owners children were in the check in area, one asleep on the couch. Parking lot was well lite. Hotel itself was difficult to get to.

I was unable to connect to wifi or to view much on the television. I was also a little concerned about the homeless people hanging around the facility. I liked the room

Property was convenient. Some front desk staff could be a little more friendly.

It was an average hotel. Nothing amazing nothing horrible. Only thing is the location was kind of weird.

Hotel updated but it appears poorly maintained. Paint was peeling on all the door jambs, walls were generally dirty and rusty metal in the bathroom. Food for the morning breakfast was cleared empty by 9:00 a.m. . I asked the front desk to help and he did fill the cereal bins but did not fill the creamer or the sugar for the coffee, the bagels, or any of the other items.

Value is good for this property, would hope they would have continental breakfast a little earlier and ready to go. If you are not at the beginning, your choice will be limited.

Room was okay, air conditioner not overly loud. However, elevator and corridor floors need some cleaning. Breakfast area just fair and just the clerk to check people out, fold sheets and try to stock and clean breakfast area.

This hotel was a great value. Clean, safe, comfortable rooms, courteous staff and a decent, although limited, breakfast.

Room was clean, Breakfast was to be desired, had to ask for coffee to be made, very limited on breakfast items, had to ask for forks and knifes, bowls for cereal. Would I stay again, questionable.
