Holiday Inn Express & Suites Newport News by IHG

The room was clean. The showers were a little outdated.Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast. Everything was fresh and hot. There was music playing in the background that increased the good vibes in the atmosphere.

Will stay here again

I was totally disappointed with the condition of this Holiday Inn Express. I always stay at one while traveling, however, I have to take this location off of my list. While the staff were totally pleasant and kind, the main foyer nice and clean, the facility needs a serious UPGRADE! To start, the lighting in the room was not sufficient, the bathroom lighting was very dim - only one light in the shower section and one around the mirror. The water pressure was not good at all. It barely came out of the sink and took a long time to get warm. When you entered the room where the beds are located there is a huge closet. This is indeed a harzard and took up much need space in the room. The furniture is dated. The shower needs updating and the wifi was horrible! I'm sure management is aware of the issues with this property and should take this complaints serious. They need to upgrade this location if they are to continue charging the prices they do to stay here. They really are giving the Holiday Inn Express brand a bad name. Seriously......

Clean room, great choice for the hotel having dove brand shampoo, breakfast was good for a hotel, staff was very nice, and price for room was fair.

Could have been cleaner, shower was dripping, some mold in n bathroom, windows and elevators were smeared and could have been cleaned better
