The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. The shuttle to the Metro was fantastic. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice place but the lack of elevators and inadequately stocked morning buffet and coffee was definitely a deterrent from staying there again in the future.

It was a great location, and the shuttle to the metro was super! It was an old property but updated. I would caution anyone to read all the way through because it did not have an elevator. Going up the steps carrying big suitcases was not fun. Another couple indicated they had not noticed there was no elevator and it was a real hardship for them. Breakfast was one of the worst we had on a two week road trip. Location was just perfect!

No prizes for aesthetics or historical interest, but exceptionally friendly and helpful staff; clean throughout; a functional gym; and a shuttle service that worked: I was already halfway from Dulles airport to East Falls Church metro station when I called the front desk, the shuttle was waiting for me by the time I arrived 20 minutes later. For the price a great option 25 minutes from downtown DC.

The hotel is beautiful clean and comfortable. The staff was very attentive. The only complaint I have was that the pool hours were very restrictive. We encountered some storms that delayed our travels and when we got to the hotel we were informed that the pool is open from 1pm until 8pm. The pool was the main reason that we chose the hotel. I asked again in the morning since the pool was just sitting there if my boys could just swim for a little before we checked out. We were told no. That was very disappointing. If this hotel wants to unrealistically restrict the pool hours it should be clearly communicated on the website so that other traveling families who have kiddos who can look elsewhere.

Very stark. No elevator. Very old property. Not a great neighborhood.

The only issue was the food and bar area. Staff did not know how to make drinks that was on the menu also the soda was flat that came out of the machine at bar area. Breakfast was okay

Everything was clean and all the employees were very friendly. Conveniently located where I could get to everything I needed within 5-10 minutes. Would definitely stay again.

Weed smell. Disgusting environment. Nice staff overall. Terrible management. Tried to get a refund when we left their disgusting hotel after staying a grand total of 90 mins in our room. We had booked a 2 night stay that my wife immediately let me know wasn’t acceptable. Unfortunately we booked a non-refundable hotel through Expedia before we had seen our room. Couldn’t even get our second day refunded. Would have made sense to pay for cleaning the room for the 90 mins. I find this manager and management team irresponsibly negligent for their behavior. Never staying at any of your low rate budget hotels in any city again.

I stayed here as a woman traveling solo who wanted to take day trips into DC. I loved the free parking for my van, loved the quiet and spacious room with my 2 queen sized beds. I picked the downstairs floor as I didn't want to be walking up any stairs after a long day of walking around DC. The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage or ham, hash browns, cereal, toast, yogurt, waffles, pastries, juices and coffee. One of this hotels free perks is the shuttle ride to the East Falls Church metro. They offer it 7-11am and 5-9pm. Katie was one of the drivers and she was so sweet and friendly! All the staff was friendly and I highly recommend staying here if you want to explore DC on a budget. Free parking, free hot breakfast and free shuttle ride to metro with friendly staff and clean rooms!

My room smelled funky. Terrible smell, and I came out with stuffy nose.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The room was big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The staff in the front desk was super nice and attentive. Shuttle service to the metro station is a plus even though it was only available btw certain hours. Definitely stay again if come back to DC.

The shower pressure was horrible. The counter top in bathroom are dated and very low.

Although we found our room clean and comfortable, we had a very uncomfortable experience due to the "neighbors" on either side of our room. One side had an extremely long loud erotic experience that left us aghast at having had to hear it. We could hear EVERYTHING! The other "neighbor" awakened us to a heated argument at 4am. Again, we could hear EVERYTHING!

It was just ok - could hear upstairs footsteps all night so soundproofing isn't really working. The hallway to our non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke.

Check in - after a 4-hour drive through HEAVY traffic and construction and late for a wake service, I arrived at the front desk to find a sign - the staff person was "Helping another customer" and so I stood and waited - and when the young lady arrived her whole attitude was surly. Welcoming? Not a bit. Although the documents in the room say that no password is required for the wifi - turns out it is, but I had to call down, it was not provided as part of check in - even though there is a space on the envelope containing the room cards for that information. Because of the government furlough situation I was considering staying an extra day - but my treatment at the front desk killed that idea very quickly. I write this before trying out the free breakfast - but I am not expecting much based on my experience so far. I am in my 79th year - fortunately in good health since I was assigned a room on the second floor and there doesn't seem to be an elevator. The bed is comfortable - the tv offerings are antique - whatever system they subscribe to is weak on offerings and awkward to use.

The rooms seemed somewhat dated. Besides that, the stay was pleasant overall.

The gal at the front desk who checked us in was one of the most friendly hotel employees I've ever met! We loved her to death! I wish I had gotten her name but suffice to say she was amazing, friendly, professional, and polite!

The hotel was nice and great for the price. First time in a Clarion Inn and pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff is amazing. I was notified that my room was on the 2nd floor and the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. He moved me to a room on the 1st floor. So friendly and helpful. They made the experience great as they greeted every guest as they came in the door and wished us a great day when we left making me feel welcome and acknowledged. Never experienced such great customer service from a hotel.

Staff was excellent. Breakfast was tasty. We utilized the shuttle to the metro station to get to downtown DC. The girl who drove us was super friendly and down to earth. Everyone was excellent to deal with and friendly. Will stay again if we go back to DC.

An excellent stay in a convenient location (if you have a car). The rooms are comfortable, clean, spacious, and well laid-out, and every single member of the team here (including the front desk, the restaurant/breakfast staff, and the housekeeping staff) are all great -- friendly, welcoming, courteous, and go out of their way to ensure a positive guest experience. This really makes a big difference to a frequent traveler, and we appreciate it! I would recommend this property highly. Thank you for a great stay.

The Hotel is an older hotel that has had some re-model over time. Though not fancy was clean and accessible. The staff was very nice and helpful. The young lady the drove us to and from the Metro Station in their shuttle service van was an absolute sweetheart. The entire staff really did their best to make us comfortable and cover our needs. We will plan to use this facility on any return trips to the area.

Loved that they would shuttle you to the metro so that you didn't have to drive. Very effortless and very nice staff. Breakfast was decent, too.

Both sinks in our room were clogged. I’ve come to the realization that every time I book with expedia I get the worst rooms, so I guess you get what you pay for… convenient location though. Plenty of places to eat and about 20 min from the museums.

The Clarion was the perfect property. I was in for one night and plenty of dining options, complimentary breakfast and a really nice staff.

On the main Arlington Boulevard in Falls Church. Convenient access by car. Plenty of parking. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff was very attentive. A good breakfast buffet. Well priced for the DC area.

Breakfast was absolutely lousy, and staff didn't clean the waffle batter that people had spilled on the table cloth. Receptionist on call Saturday evening was extremely helpful in finding an place to eat late in the evening. She tried to help us eat at the hotel, but did not succeed due to a cross colleague.

It was a nice place to stay, clean and easy to get to attractions in area. The only problem was the breakfast- eggs were uncooked and the sausage was tough.

The property is very old and looks like it. The lack of an elevator to the second floor is a real negative. On the other hand, the property is very clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff is welcoming, and the breakfast is decent. Overall, we were quite comfortable and our stay was reasonably priced.

This hotel would not let you to take your breakfast out of its breakfast hall. Never seen it before.

I liked the shuttle that they offered, it takes you to the metro. The breakfast is atrocious, very small and clumped in a small corner there’s also not a lot of options for so many people. The bedroom was beautiful but there wasn’t very many outlets. We would stay again.
