It's not that the staff isn't trying, but the elevator wreaks of cigarette smoke and the 2nd floor hallway where I was staying was sickening with marijuana. I am all in for folks having a good time after hours, but gross for those of us who don't smoke. If this is normal, I am not keen on returning. Price is great, so maybe that's what I get ;) In general, everything seems tidy.

The property smelled of weed and mothballs. I felt like I was going to have a contact high . The keys never worked for my room and the treadmilll and elliptical machine didn’t work. I will say on the plus side all of the staff there were beyond helpful and nice.

For the quick stay we were making, wish we would have saved the $170 and drove on home. Definitely not the worst place I’ve ever seen, but not worth the price tag in the slightest. Definitely an older hotel and staff were friendly. But…You have to take your trash to the trash room (right down from guest rooms) not even a trash shoot, where it just sits pilled 5ft high. So as soon as you come off the elevator we could smell it, and continued to smell it until we got to our room. I understand that it’s an extended stay hotel, but for a one night stay it was a little odd. Had to use the restroom when we got there and had no toilet paper, had to make a trip back downstairs to request some. Rooms seemed fairly clean until the baby roach we killed in the shower. And then only provided 1 towel in the bathroom..apparently you have to swap them out? So if you’re in a pinch, you won’t get murdered there.

I was required to sign my initials next to each item on a list of hotel policies that gave the impression that they primarily deal with sketchy people. The elevator was out of order. There were no ice machines. The whole building smelled of strong cleaning chemicals. The floor of my room was laminate and had some sort of sticky film on it. The whole place was generally gross. It was the kind of room that made you wonder what sort of stuff had taken place in it. I packed my bags back into the car a left without staying the night. I have stayed in a few gross hotels over the years, but never felt compelled to leave like that. But I wasn’t going to sleep in that s***hole. I’ll never give Extended Stay another chance and I advise you to do the same.

The free breakfast was a joke instant oatmeal and muffins..and no place to sit! There was not a side table on one side of bed…you had to reach under counter to flush toilet…There was not a coffee pot in the room..NO ICE MACHINE…IT was broke…I will not ever stay here again

One of the best lower cost hotel I’ve stayed in. Especially clean. VERY helpful staff (although after hours response time was very slow). Had luggage carrier to “move in”, elevator large enough for luggage cart. Couldn’t figure out how to get recline to work. Just very happy and this is my hotel of choice in Chesapeake. Plus the price was right!!

Nice open big room, comfortable king bed. 2 little plastic cups in the bathoom, nothing in the kitchen, no in room coffee, TV remote was inop, but stoned front desk clerk brought up a replacement, so that\'s sort of good. Morning coffee service in lobby, but muffins and store bought "granola" bars.

Do not stay here. Room was inexcusable. Broken light, no top sheet on the bed. Shower curtain black and pink molded. Shower floor blackened and not cleaned. Sink stopped up and held water. Half roll of toilet paper with no second roll. Everything was old, out of date and run down. Entire second floor smelled musty. Rules say you pay even if you don’t stay. Rip off! So, husband got us another room. Slightly Improved but still bad. Third floor didn’t stink thankfully. Shower curtain rod had been pulled from the wall and was set back up there barely hanging. Old shower curtain. Limited towels. Run down room. Thin walls, heard everything around us, stomping above, tv next to us, talking in halls. We only needed it for two nights so we made it through, barely. Only decent thing was the staff we encountered was nice. So this hotel is failing because of management neglecting obvious repairs. I will say it again, do not stay here.

My room smelled like right before I walked in someone just jumped out the window with the 67 cigarettes they smoked in their mouth. Overwhelming cigarette smell and no matter what I did or tried it wasn’t going away. Also the the next day it was the same and a friend of mine was also thrown back by the stench and they smoke cigarettes them selves. My entire wardrobe was completely covered in the smell and I had to wash every piece of clothing and belongings I could to alleviate the headaches I kept getting from the one night brief stay.

The price was right, but everything there was obviously very heavily used. Sheets look like they are past replacing time, carpet was pretty rough, non-carpet areas sticky, furniture chipped, and water smelled a bit off. There was a dead cockroach in the same stairwell for at least 2 days. If you're a person just there for work it's fine, but I wouldn't want to stay there with a family.

Terrible, dirty, hallways and rooms smelled. No hair dryer, no tissues, towels dingy and smelled. Carpet filthy. Chair had stains and unknown marks, moldy shower curtain. Front desk clerk was very nice for our late check-in and very helpful.

Picked this property because it said it had a kitchen, the room did not come equipped with dishes or anything , had to ask for things, only got a pot and a couple plates, no dishwasher or dish soap to at least wash the dishes i did get. Also picked this location because it was supposed to have “breakfast”, all they had was coffee and a few muffins.

Our stay was amazing. We were able to check in early as I arrived at 11am and check in was not until 3 but once they found out we drove all night from Florida they checked to see if a room was ready and let us check in. Room was very spacious and being able to cook for my son in law was a huge plus! The best part was being able to do a fast super early am check out when we left. We will definitely be back

After driving 8 hours, I just wanted to get to my room. Walked into the room and the bed was broken. The back right corner of the bed was actually slanted towards the floor and the front left leg was in the air. How could the cleaning staff not see this!! 2nd room smelled of dog so badly that it gave my nephew an allergic reaction! Moths in bathroom, hairs on the pillow, crumbs on nightstand, freezer was a mess. Room was not clean at all! In fact they left the window open to get rid of the dog smell Front desk woman really was not apologetic at all Finally was given a 3rd room which was fine. Ridiculous that the cleaning staff wouldn’t take care of this before guests come. And how could you give a room that housed a dog to anyone. People are allergic. After driving 8 hours, I just wanted to get to my room. Walked into the room and the bed was broken. The back right corner of the bed was actually slanted towards the floor and the front left leg was in the air. How could the cleaning staff not see this!! 2nd room smelled of dog so badly that it gave my nephew an allergic reaction! Moths in bathroom, hairs on the pillow, crumbs on nightstand, freezer was a mess. Room was not clean at all! In fact they left the window open to get rid of the dog smell Front desk woman really was not apologetic at all Finally was given a 3rd room which was fine. Ridiculous that the cleaning staff wouldn’t take care of this before guests come. And how could you give a room that housed a dog to anyone. People are allergic. The price was right, but everything there was obviously very heavily used. Sheets look like they are past replacing time, carpet was pretty rough, non-carpet areas sticky, furniture chipped, and water smelled a bit off. There was a dead cockroach in the same stairwell for at least 2 days. If you're a person just there for work it's fine, but I wouldn't want to stay there with a family.

Nice open big room, comfortable king bed. 2 little plastic cups in the bathoom, nothing in the kitchen, no in room coffee, TV remote was inop, but stoned front desk clerk brought up a replacement, so that\'s sort of good. Morning coffee service in lobby, but muffins and store bought "granola" bars.

During my first night there, someone in the back parking lot was playing Latin music so loudly that I could clearly hear the lyrics from my second-story room. It was after the designated quiet hours, and I had to call the police because the hotel staff seemed indifferent to the situation. When I contacted customer service, they were unhelpful and did not address my concerns. I will never stay at one of their facilities again after this terrible experience. Additionally, the room was outdated and rundown. You need upper body strength just to open and close the door because it sticks—so every time someone enters or exits their room, you'll hear it.

Our stay was amazing. We were able to check in early as I arrived at 11am and check in was not until 3 but once they found out we drove all night from Florida they checked to see if a room was ready and let us check in. Room was very spacious and being able to cook for my son in law was a huge plus! The best part was being able to do a fast super early am check out when we left. We will definitely be back

We picked this hotel because of the kitchenette. However after waking up after a 17 hour drive and attempting to make something to eat, there were no utensils plates pots or cups. I was told I couldn’t get any u til the next day. After explaining my dissatisfaction I was threatened to be put off the property at 9pm. After calling customer service (because the manager “Sharon” was the one who threatened me) to try to be relocated to a property in Virginia Beach, I was told only she could could do that or refund me. Sharon refused to either of those options, so it forced me to go out and buy fast food for my family. When checking out the next morning I explained my night to the staff and they apologized and said that was typical behavior for the night staff. But I was not refunded, and nothing has been done about my experience. Will not book that location in the future.

I missed my check in on Monday so I went there Tuesday to check in. They said I was a no show on my reservation on Monday and they said I would have to make a new one. They cashed out my prepaid reservation and took the money. I tried to call Expidia for help and they did call the hotel to see if I could get a refund but wasn’t able to due to hotel policy.

One of the best lower cost hotel I’ve stayed in. Especially clean. VERY helpful staff (although after hours response time was very slow). Had luggage carrier to “move in”, elevator large enough for luggage cart. Couldn’t figure out how to get recline to work. Just very happy and this is my hotel of choice in Chesapeake. Plus the price was right!!

Quiet, clean respectful, great room kitchenette, huge bathtub to take bubble bath i mean i feel like im in what feels like such comfy place huge king bed so relaxing and i feel like im at home all dishes were supplied you have to ask for them wich i think is a good thingb. Grab n go breakfast from 6 to 9 am i loved so much i got me another 2 days

It's not that the staff isn't trying, but the elevator wreaks of cigarette smoke and the 2nd floor hallway where I was staying was sickening with marijuana. I am all in for folks having a good time after hours, but gross for those of us who don't smoke. If this is normal, I am not keen on returning. Price is great, so maybe that's what I get ;) In general, everything seems tidy.

No staff ….. budget hotel… We had to obtain trash can and TP and aroma from smokers outside wafted up to room ever day. Needs new carpet but pleasant for a budget hotel… no expectations except price validated what was purchased. Limited staff, but they were helpful.

The home away from home i love the way it feels just wish you guys had some picnic tables and some cookout grills around the property , the place is so comfy and relaxing quiet and it just gives me a piece of mind and i can finally get back to myself and ignite my mental clarity for much peace and divine clarity im a nurce so healing is what i do so i must say this is exactly what i needed , thank you extended stay and everyone agfiliated woth extended stay all did such a wonderful job

Picked this property because it said it had a kitchen, the room did not come equipped with dishes or anything , had to ask for things, only got a pot and a couple plates, no dishwasher or dish soap to at least wash the dishes i did get. Also picked this location because it was supposed to have “breakfast”, all they had was coffee and a few muffins.

Where do I start. Elevator smelled like skunks-as in skunk weed. Floor was sticky. Out of the elevator carpets not vacuumed - trash by trash bin door at 8pm at night. Then open the room door and floor was worse than the elevator. Dirty diapers from prior renter was in trash can. Bed linens dirty had to request new one. Given and attic when I asked so I lied and said we dumped water on the bed by accident. Toilet grout stained with old urine. “Kitchenette” sick barely trickled but the bathroom one was leaking the second you turned it on. Had to reset the plug for the a/c unit twice in a 2 day stay. I ended up placing the dirty linens on the floor to at least attempt to keep my feet clean. If we had a choice with the fact that we had 2 cats and it’s summer time, I couldn’t just switch hotels. When we got ready to check out, there was a party of 8 or 9 waiting to check in. Another couple as well, and then me to check out - but the front desk woman was working in rooms on the 4th floor. Took like 40 minutes to track her down and arrive at the desk. Do better for your Chesapeake location.
