Stunning Home with Expansive Pool & Game Room

This location was excellent, with a beautiful home, game room, and pool.

Wasn’t very clean. Furniture was broken and the pool was dirty the entire stay.

We rented this place because we wanted a mini getaway with a pool. We arrived and pool was dirty full of algae and dead bugs. Very disappointing as this was one of the main reasons for choosing this home. We had a family illness so we wanted to check in a few hours early because we were having to leave a day early but was unable to because host stated they needed ample time to clean. So this was very disappointing to find that the pool wasnt cleaned before our arrival and apparently hadnt been cleaned in a while. The outside sleeping quarters had torn blinds that needed to be taken down because they didnt provide any privacy and the game room area had no air so it was very hot so we were unable to utilize that area as well. At the main house bedroom doors and closets were broken. One room had a hole in the door and the smell when we walked in had a horrible fishy smell. This was a total waste of money.

The house, pool and out building needed some tlc. Broken window blinds, green growing in the pool and the 2 bathrooms in the barn have no air or ventilation so entire family used the upstairs main house bathroom. It was clean and there was plenty of space for everyone (10 adults and 5 kids). Location was great to avoid big crowds and traffic. Several very good restraunts close.

Fantastic accommodations for family! Kids loved the pool and arcade games. This property is located close to kemah, restaurants and Galveston and we had the best time!Highly Recommend!!!

Furniture Issues: There are three broken net chairs, a grey outdoor patio sofa with a broken leg, and a wooden chair with a broken arm. This is not acceptable for a rental home of this caliber.Cleaning Concerns: We have documented the following cleanliness issues, which were not addressed prior to our arrival:The refrigerator was very dirty, which we cleaned.The towels appeared as if they had not been properly washed, so rewashing was a must.The coffee machine had a dirty filter left inside by the previous users.The floors had dirt as if the place had not been swept or mopped also cleaned up.General Maintenance: The overall upkeep of the home is not in line with what was advertised. Given the premium rate for this property, it is disappointing to see the level of neglect.While we appreciate the space, we felt the need to bring these issues to viewers attention. While normal wear and tear is expected, negligence in basic maintenance—especially when charging premium rates for a gorgeous beachfront property—is completely unacceptable and false advertisement. We dealt with over 48 hours of the pool being inoperable, with limited and delayed communication. The advertised features of the home were not delivered as promised, and the overall experience fell far short of expectations.

We had a wonderful time in San Leon. The house was accommodating and the outdoor space and game room created a perfect place for all to enjoy the outdoors. We were first concerned about parking, but there was plenty of room. The only surprise was the two outside restrooms with no AC. Overall an amazing property that accommodates 18 people very well. We will definitely consider this property again.

The place has a bit of everything for a family and friends stay. The only thing that would have made it better is if most of the arcades worked, and if the restroom in the back house had AC

Everything was good, except for the fact that we were woken up at 7 o’clock in the morning by the pool cleaning guy that shock the pool was extremely rude and we weren’t even allowed to use the pool the next day for the duration of the time that we paid for a lot of the games are also broken and didn’t work The TV was difficult to learn to work, but other than that it was a very nice place.

My grandkids loved the place. Their ages range from 21 to 7. The way I read the description all five bedrooms and baths are in the house. There’s only two bedrooms and one bathroom in the house. The other three bedrooms are in the game room along with two bathrooms. So every meal or snack the ones who slept down stairs had to climb the stairs. Most of the games in the game room didn’t work, however the pool is big and well maintained. There’s plenty of parking which is better than most rentals. There were some maintenance issue which were addressed and were answered very quickly.

Great location and amenities. Most rooms are bunked up, so its good for small families and groups of friends, like my groomsmen. Neighborhood is nice and quiet and the game room was fun! Local dining is great! Check out The Backyard or Gihoolies down the street. Local general stores were good too with fair prices, and a walmart and aldis down the road. Few little quirks here and there, like only some of the three bathrooms having soap, one toilet having no seat, and few extra towels for a place with a pool, but otherwise was good. Im sure management couldve taken care of it, but I didnt have access to our vrbo account during the stay and was stretched thin during the wedding, so some of it is on me. Would come back for a reunion though! The crew spent a lot of time relaxing and having nice nooks and crannies to bond with each other, watch MST3k, play Ps5 or the arcade cabinets, or just read or telework.

First thing wrong was the barn and the two bathrooms in the barn area have no A/C ..so bathrooms are like a Sauna. It was so hot in barn area kids could not even enjoy the 3 game that actually worked out of the 6 games there. Holes in the shower curtains. Hair all in the shower drains. Towel racks falling off the wall. Toilet sit was missing the nuts to hold it on...so watch out not to hit the floor. A bedroom had holes in the wall. The pool people came and treated the pool our last day there so we couldn't even swim our last day Pool itself was actually really nice. Bedroom beds where nice. Definitely need alot of maintenance for the price we pay.

we really liked staying here and glad we got this place for our trip. This was so much better than a hotel with kids. We played in the pool and enjoyed the game room. it was clean and looked like the pics. thanks!

This vacation rental in San Leon was absolutely perfect for our getaway! The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we could possibly need. The pool was a highlight—perfect for cooling off during the day and creating memories with the family. The game room was a hit with both kids and adults, offering hours of entertainment. In the evenings, we gathered around the fire pit, enjoying s'mores. The location was ideal—peaceful and private, but close enough to enjoy the local seafood spots and nearby attractions like Kemah and Galveston. The host went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back!

The property lacked overall cleanliness and didn’t resemble the online pictures. The floors, walls, doors, cabinets, showers, bedding and some furnishings were dirty. Hard to believe there is a cleaning service. The floors were so dirty they turned our feet black and we had to wear shoes or socks at all times. The walls and doors are dirty and some doors are damaged and hard to open. The cabinets in the kitchen and wall behind stove were very dirty- looked like someone had spilled coffee all over the floor/ cabinets. There’s no rugs like in photos and definitely not enough seating in living area for 12 people. The shower in the separate building is covered in an orange rust or mold and neither of the bathrooms in separate building have ac (maybe I missed that). The bedding had stains and lots of hair so we washed. The best part of the house was the game area/ pool/ outdoors. However, the pool was also in need of cleaning. The floors and sides had brown spots and a yellow coloring. The property location says it’s close to three beaches- the first one was nowhere to be found, the second one had very little “beach” and we gave up after that. It’s not necessarily in the best area but we found good restaurants and it’s close to Kemah Boardwalk. I notified manager of cleanliness issue and he was apologetic but no resolution. There was bad weather and our check out was extended but the maid still showed up at 1030. Russell was easy to communicate with but overall disappointed.

I loved this place! Having a private pool for vacation was such a relaxing feature. The home was clean and bug free, thank goodness. The host answered super quick which was nice and being like 4 or 5 minutes to the beach was easier

Our family had a wonderful stay at this vacation rental in San Leon! The house was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The game room was a huge hit with my kids—it kept them entertained for hours—and they absolutely loved the bunk beds. I also appreciated having a washer and dryer on-site; it made keeping up with laundry so convenient. With three bathrooms, there was plenty of space for everyone to get ready without feeling cramped. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to come back!

Everything was just like the pictures house has plenty of room we had 20 people there and it never felt crowded.

The game room and bedrooms were perfect for kids of all ages. We put 4 kids 10 and under in one room off the game room. We put 4 kids over 13 together in the house. The adults took the other rooms. The dog had some space too. We ate at the pool. The different age groups could watch TV in different spaces, also a positive!

Loved this place so much! The full sized private pool was awesome to lounge around during the day with my family. My kids really loved the second area that was converted into little sleeping rooms. The arcade machines were a big hit with them! We'd love to come back!

We enjoyed our 3 day stay very much so. Home is as described and pictured. My only dislike, which was my fault, was there was only one bathroom in the main home. Other than that everything was great. Excellent communication and instructions by Russell.

Everything was great except the washer stopped working after 1 load and I text back and forth with manager and was giving generic ways to repair but no one came to look @ it sure would

Great communication with owner. Had an issue with the pool and they responded immediately. Kids loved their own little space with all the games and adults enjoyed the house.

The property was just ok. The house felt like it swayed in the wind, which was discomforting. My biggest was that my son left his AirPods by mistake. When I reached out to property manager, he immediately replied that they had them - great! Well, turns out not so great. They sent me a form to fill out, which I did. They then replied and said they couldn’t find the AirPods. Something not right about all that. We won’t return to a Beach Box property.

Place was nice. Wash machine did not work well at all. TV remote was a hit and miss issue. Contacted management several times about wash machine and no one ever showed up to follow through. Its a shame there isn't 2 bathrooms in main unit. We never used pool or shed unit due to terrible weather, but was really nice addition to facility.

We really enjoyed the amenities and location of property! Weather got a bit chilly so couldn’t enjoy pool! Lots of space for kids we will definitely plan another weekend when it warms up! Thanks for hosting
