The area looks very sketchy. A SUV with a trailer attached parked horizontally in front of my room taking up numerous parking spaces so I couldn't park near my room. I am disabled, so that was a problem for me. I was placed upstairs on the back side of the building because I had a service animal, that was another problem. The hotel looked okay at check in during the daytime but at night there were homeless people and prostitutes walking the parking lot & people were sitting & standing outside their rooms smoking marijuana. I went out to Walmart to buy a mattress protector & linen. When I returned it was dark & I was a little afraid to get out of my car, so I sat there for about 30 minutes before I decided to go up to my room. The room had a strong kind of moldy odor, the floor of my room had not been swept, the nightstand and dresser had spill stains that had not been wiped off, tub was old & had been painted. I wanted to leave the hotel but stayed because I had prepaid online. I slept about 11 p.m. & when I woke up I had a couple of painful bug bites of some sort. I packed and left as soon as I woke up around 4:30 a.m. DO NOT STAY HERE !!

Don't let the pictures online fool you. They are at least a decade old. The place is completely run down. Homeless sleeping in parking lot. People obviously living there and trash all over. The staff was friendly and accomodating but that can't make up for the stay. Would not recommend to anyone.

The room reeked of a strong, acrid smell. The bathtub has been poorly painted over to cover wear. The baseboards and doors and woodwork are rotting and bubbled. The pool was scummy and not usable. Housekeeping took our towels and did not replace them... thank you to the front desk for fixing this.

Beautiful brand new hotel. Staff was friendly. Room was spotless Bed was great. Had never stayed with this chain before and they gained a for life customer here. Highly recommend. I am driving two hours out of the way to stay again on my next trip at another location.

The breakfast was a bit sparce. The coffee machine was broken, and the apple juice was watered down. So, if breakfast is a deal breaker choose another hotel. The room was clean, and we had plenty of towels, the staff was nice. We just needed a clean room for 2 nights, so it served our purposes just fine.

It was very hard to get in the room because the door was jammed. I had to bump against it before I was able to even get in the room, the guest next door came and assisted because I am an elderly woman and couldn't do it on my own. The bathroom was either just painted or spray painted because as I began to rinse it our before using, paint ended up on my hands from touch the tub. Because I was afraid of slipping and falling, I just ended up taking a bath from the sink. This needs to be rectified immediately.

We were hard pressed to find any hotel room, and rates were climbing every 10 minutes. This hotel was descent overall, though a bit 'worn'. The bathroom door had worn away edges on the top and bottom corners, you could see partly into where the door knob hole too, and the dead bolt on the room didn't work. The beds were clean and comfortable though, and sufficient for a late night and early morning.

not a great pick For the price. Generally, the rates are $70 plus which are competitive for the area but the Quality Inn is not a lot of quality for the money. The Good: The price was lower than most other offerings in the same area. The Bad: 1. Beds were not overly comfortable (But not aweful). 2. Drapes did not block out ambient lights 3. Noisy: The walls were thin, the cheap laminate floors reflected sound making it easier to hear guests and TV in adjacent rooms. 4. perling paint; interior ceiling needs repairs. 5. toilet barely flushed (low pressure) all in all i wish i spent an extra $ on better accommodations.

I checked in and was given a dirty room with beer cans all over the place. Went back to the counter and was given a clean room with a strong odor of weed! I had to get air freshener just to try to cover the smell because I knew it wouldn’t get much better. The shower went from hot to cold almost instantly, the toilet took a lot to flush, my cell phone was bigger than the tv, and there wasn’t a trash can in the room. If it wasn’t the last room left in the city on a holiday weekend, I would have eaten that $150 and changed hotels IMMEDIATELY! Do not recommend this place at all!!

I did not feel one bit of safe at this place. I brought it to the staff attention and they said wait and they would get me a different room but I waited all night until the front desk closed up and put a sign that said call this number but that they were unavailable for any help. So I had to sleep in the same room I complained about all night and nobody tried to do anything to make it right.

I had reserved two rooms. They only had record of one under my name. They did not have the other room either under my name or my guests. The hotel’s solution was for me to book another room and pay for it. I contacted Expedia for remedy, but the hotel would not provide a remedy. I asked Expedia to arrange refund for both and we drove home at 10:30 at night.

You get what you pay for. The only service performed on the room was garbage removal. The coffee not shampoo was ever refilled. The welcome to the facility was minimal, and when my key card didn’t work on the second day, I was not asked for ID before the key was programmed. I have traveled extensively for work and this was by far one of the worst hotels.

Check in was very easy and fast the guy's eneded up upgrading me too a king size bed vs a double bed as it was just myself. When i got into the room it was already nice and warm, very clean, etc...

The area looks very sketchy. A SUV with a trailer attached parked horizontally in front of my room taking up numerous parking spaces so I couldn't park near my room. I am disabled, so that was a problem for me. I was placed upstairs on the back side of the building because I had a service animal, that was another problem. The hotel looked okay at check in during the daytime but at night there were homeless people and prostitutes walking the parking lot & people were sitting & standing outside their rooms smoking marijuana. I went out to Walmart to buy a mattress protector & linen. When I returned it was dark & I was a little afraid to get out of my car, so I sat there for about 30 minutes before I decided to go up to my room. The room had a strong kind of moldy odor, the floor of my room had not been swept, the nightstand and dresser had spill stains that had not been wiped off, tub was old & had been painted. I wanted to leave the hotel but stayed because I had prepaid online. I slept about 11 p.m. & when I woke up I had a couple of painful bug bites of some sort. I packed and left as soon as I woke up around 4:30 a.m. DO NOT STAY HERE !!

We made the mistake of going for price. The staff, front counter and housekeeping were very nice and understanding of our reason to not stay. We didnt feel safe there. We left and booked another hotel.

Well to begin with. Hotels.com did not tell me it was a motel. Not a hotel. It was the type of motel that people live in. Folks were washing the cars in the parking lot. Of course it was non refundable. They wanted 100 dollars deposit on site for the room. Didnt feel safe at all, so i refused to stay. Lost almost 100 bucks on the reservation. Ill never use hotels.com again. Staybaway from this place. I ended up deiving around and finding something better close by.

Having spent almost nine years working for Choice Hotels, I am compelled to express my concerns regarding the safety and overall experience of this particular property. As someone who consciously avoids stereotyping, I nonetheless felt uneasy during my visit. I attended the Charleston Black Food Festival and was disturbed by the presence of vagrants and individuals who appeared to be gang members behind the restaurant. The bathroom was dirty, and the room had an unusual odor. Additionally, a loud gathering outside persisted for three hours, causing a disturbance. In my opinion, this hotel necessitates significant renovations to address these issues. Its location is convenient, being situated in the heart of the city. Some individuals might characterize the surrounding neighborhood as economically disadvantaged.

Don't let the pictures online fool you. They are at least a decade old. The place is completely run down. Homeless sleeping in parking lot. People obviously living there and trash all over. The staff was friendly and accomodating but that can't make up for the stay. Would not recommend to anyone.

Close by tanger outlets and food was great, though the staff could definitely be a little better trained, hours of time wasted for something simple to be done in first place, I've worked for hotels my whole life but stay and rooms were cleaner than I had expected

I am requesting a refund of this trip booked 2 nights and the room was unsafe due to the door not closing properly. The AC did not cool. The Pool was dirty and the residents that stay there made my daughter and I feel unsafe

Horrible experience, too dirty everywhere you saw, the sheets smelled horrible, the toilet paper had mold, too unhealthy, the breakfast was the only decent thing, he felt very unsafe outsideAnd too many people smoking marijuana on the stairs outside the rooms and full of garbage outside the doors of them, and the person at the front desk, with all due respect, smelled very bad.

Ms. Sheila at the front desk was extremely helpful and understanding . The scrambled eggs, sausages and biscuits and gravy were a welcome addition to the continental breakfast. The rooms are spacious and comfy. Add the pool and the bar and this hotel is most Def more bang for your buck!

We stayed there for 3 nights. There wasn't much to eat for breakfast, the room wasn't really fully cleaned/serviced everyday. But the front desk staff were very nice and responsive.

Yes one of my beds had cigarette burns on the sheets and one of the steps going to the second floor looked like it was going to come apart very unsafe if someone stepped on that and it broke. The breakfast wasn’t That great. and parking was tough at night. I probably wouldn’t wanna stay at this hotel again.

1st room was not livable. Tub was burnt up with cigarette burns. Bottom of tub was burnt up and to nasty to even stand in. Floor was nasty. Beds were dirty. Smelled of sewage. Not fit for humans. The second room was better, but not much. Had no room service. Had to get clean towels from the front desk one night. Had no coffee for the rooms. They said they were out. Breakfast was soso. No sugar, no juices. They were out. Had to wait 20 minutes to get eggs.

This hotel seems to have folks in transitional housing staying in guest rooms.There were obviously guests at the free breakfast bar who were homeless. As a result, there were no eggs or sausage on Sunday morning at 9am. The fire extinguisher had not been serviced since March 2024. That seems very dangerous. Choice Hotels has not responded, the manager @ Quality Inn hasn't responded. We asked for a partial refund because of these troubling issues during our two-night stay.

The breakfast was a bit sparce. The coffee machine was broken, and the apple juice was watered down. So, if breakfast is a deal breaker choose another hotel. The room was clean, and we had plenty of towels, the staff was nice. We just needed a clean room for 2 nights, so it served our purposes just fine.

This hotel was a bug infested, crack dive, filthy mess. I would not let my dog stay here. We checked in, did not go directly to the room, big mistake. It was very late and we had not eaten. Got back to the room and quickly realized this was a huge mistake. Not at all what was advertised. I will never book with this hotel chain again!

The room was filthy, blankets on bed looked like they haven’t been washed in months. There was blood in the sink in the bathroom and the tub looked like a mechanic took a bath and half cleaned the tub when they were done. The front desk guy did not want to give refund and I’m still trying to get it now! Do not go there!!!

If I could rate 0 stars I would! 2 adults booked a 2 bed room, he wanted us in 1, said no. Walking to our room, the pool is a disgusting lime green. The floors and the tub in the room look like they’ve never been cleaned and the room smelled. It was a late checking and too late to go somewhere else. The only good thing was no bedbugs, and yes I checked. We quickly ran to target before they closed and got our own pillows pillow cases blankets and Lysol just so we could sleep. We were both sneezing and had watery eyes from mold, and there was a used q-tip down in the ac vent. The breakfast was not worth risking and there was mold on the dining chairs in lobby. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The bed and floor were clean, the room was quiet and cool, the shower needs some attention as there is caulking is impregnated with mold and the tub wasn’t draining because it was plugged with a LOt of hair. I will not return.
