Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Medford-Central Point by IHG

Enjoyed our stay, thank you! The HIE is nestled off I5 in Central Point. There's a short drive off the highway to the hotel itself. There are a few dining options around and a convenience store within a 10-15 minute walk away. When we showed up the front desk receptionist was very kind. She saw that we had a family of five and that the sleeping situation would be tight with our toddler. She upgraded us to a 2 Queen Bed Suite and let us spin the Members wheel for additional rewards points. Theres typically flavored water in the lobby. I thought the games next to the business center were a nice touch. The Suite room was very clean, well kept, and orderly. All the appliances worked, including the fridge and microwave. The ice machine was right across from our room but wasnt loud. Our room was right off the parking lot, which is right next to a greenbelt and I5 - the noise didnt bother us. Beds were comfy. A/C and heat worked fine. Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included. Breakfasy was alternating options full spread. Cereal, fruit, milk, pancake machine, oatmeal, sausage, eggs/omelets, muffins/toast/bagels, hot cinnamon rolls, juice machine, yogurt, etc. Definitely glad we dropped a few extra bucks to stay here versus some meager rations motel. Breakfast hours vary but are ~6-10AM. The pool and hot tub well well maintained. The kids had a blast. Hot tub was indeed hot, pool wasnt heated but swimmable. The pool hours run 530am to 10PM! Best pool hours weve seen at any hotel.

Really enjoyed the stay...except the room phones didn't work and the ice machines on the 2nd and 3rd floors are out of order. Had to get ice on the lobby floor. The phones and ice machines are not a problem for me but thought I should at least report it.

We loved being about to take our granddaughters swimming in the indoor pool. The room was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly.

So near a truck stop so maybe a bit noisy but not too bad, because other than that the location was so near everything else we wanted to do so that was a huge plus. The room was nice and seemed clean. The pool was a bit on the small side and could have been cleaner.

This is an awesome Holiday Inn Express. We thought it was relatively new because everything was in great condition and super clean. They told us they thought it was over 18 years old. Bedroom is comfortable, spacious, lots of storage, new TV, modern bathroom. Exercise room is small but far more than adequate for a facility this size. Breakfast is the typical HIE fare.

A great place to stop for the night. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable, safe. Thank you! We had a Penske moving truck towing a car and had no trouble parking either!

I liked the facilities; the room was neat, clean, and comfortable and I especially liked the workout room and the fact that there was a pool.

The pool and hot tub are permanently closed, they require a card on file for incidentals, and the room is pretty noisy.

According to hotels. com the place had a pool and hot tub, and both of them were closed for renovations, for a couple of weeks by the time we came to stay. It would have been nice to have been notified of this, my kids were quite disappointed.

I had booked this hotel based on the ratings and reviews as I had a concert to go to down the road and I didn’t feel like driving home afterwards as it was almost a 4 hr drive back home for me. I had booked this hotel 2 months before the concert and I must say it was an easy find. My stay there was phenomenal. The room was very clean and the staff there was excellent. I’m definitely going to be booking with them again in the future.

Breakfast was simple but good. The room was excellent and the shower spectacular.

Shower area had mold and public hair and floor was extremely sticky! Showed check out manager 4 photos. He said he would talk to staff. Not impressed!

Check in was quick and easy. Beds very comfortable. Staff at breakfast very friendly and helpful. They could do better at cleaning in corners of the shower and it is very noisy from highway traffic.

VERY clean and well maintained!

This is a spacious and nicely appointed hotel. Regrettably my room had a very unpleasant musty, mildewy smell. I hope this was an abberation, because in every other way it's a nice hotel for the price.

The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. I’m curious if the room was throughly clean because of some crumbs I found around the floor. Some of the pillows didn’t smell fresh, maybe a few got missed during cleaning? Our shower tub looked dirty and stained, but when I told front desk about it, they explained to me that it was some kind of glue when they did construction and not actually dirty.

Room was spotless and very comfortable, the staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast was delicious.

Nothing good, worst stay of any hotel, any time, anywhere, ever! All the doors slam shut, poor adjust no soft close. Mismatched flooring levels (trip hazard) toilet as low as a kindergarten chair, faucet barley sticks out over the sink - can't hardly get your hands under the water, charging outlets are worn, cords fall out! Couch has no support, and blinds won't stay open. If you want to plug something in at the desk you have to crawl under it to get to an outlet. Sounded like there was a sumo wrestling match above our room all four nights we were there. The main hall had a party going on night one. The hallway was full of pot smoke and people were going in and out of the room with loud music playing till 1:00 a.m. people going in and out the back entry door.

Property is clean, updated and in good repair. The location is noisy. TV did not offer ability to stream premium channels.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The front desk and breakfast cook were pleasant and friendly.

The room we were given was right above the hotel entrance and every time the automatic door opened, you could both hear and feel it. Like a big truck rumbling by. We let the front desk know and they just said they'd tell maintenance but didn't offer to move us to a different room. Other than that, it's what you'd expect of a Holiday Inn.

I loved the bed! The room was large and laid out in a super functional way for me. Including a long bench for suitcases. The bathroom was also huge! Very clean. I only deducted one star because it’s next to a truck stop and I could hear the trucks outside my window if I didn’t have the TV on.

Comfortable room and bed! Unfortunately it is near I-5 and our room was on highway side. Our room was clean but hotel needs some TLC.

The door to my room would not close properly. Because of that sound from the hall came through unobstructed.

We could hear people talking in the hallway and walking at night in the unit above us. It was a long night. I would avoid returning.

Every single staff member I interacted with was so kind and helpful. Even though it was over a Holiday weekend they were so positive and kept a smile on their face. I was very very impressed by everyone there. My niece unexpectedly went into labor and they made sure the bedding was changed and helped me secure an extra night. The free breakfast was excellent. This will definitely be my go to hotel when I visit.

Most of the staff were amazing, we showed up before check in and we able to check in early. The first room we had smelled like pee really bad. They immediately fixed it, second room was great smelled good and was clean. We stayed two nights first night was great no issues. Kinda noisy but nothing unbearable. Second night the lady working the night shift at the desk wasn’t personable or welcoming gave us looks like why were we there. Ran into a group in the lobby that were less than kind and couldn’t even hold the elevator. Which was whatever I hope it wasn’t because we aren’t white but then around 1030 pm we are laying in bed watching a show about to fall asleep and we get a call from the front desk lady saying we had a noise complaint which was weird because we were just laying in bed watching tv on low about to fall asleep. Probably won’t come back, the last night rubbed us the wrong way. We have traveled all over the country and this stay wasn’t it while passing through.

The check in process took way too long with an incompetent clerk who kept taking phone calls instead of helping the long line of people waiting to check in. The rest of the property is great.

Easy access to th3 freeway and close to several restaurants.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Wonderful experience and conveniently located near the airport and great restaurants.

Hotel is next to a truck stop and when we were coming back from dinner the trucks trying to get into the lot had the whole street blocked and we could not make it down for about 10 minutes

The property itself was great. Gwtting to the property was a didferent story as it's across the steet from a truck stop. When we got there many trucks were coming and going as well which conpletly blocked the street. It took us about 10 minutes of waiting in line to be able to pull into the parking lot.

We stayed a night as we were passing through on our way to Portland. The hotel itself is very nice. It's placement by the freeway is convenient but because it's so close it's quite noisy. We got there the night before the parking lot was to be resurfaced, so much of the parking lot was blocked off. Breakfast was wonderful, the staff was friendly, and there is a nice walking path by the river that is accessible to the hotel and quite lovely.

Property very clean and easy access to freeway and shopping.

The hotel is between a large truck stop and the freeway. Getting in and out was challenging with the truck traffic. Surprisingly it was fairly quiet in the room. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful.

Road trip from Central California to Seattle, Medford was an exact half-way point, Stayed one night both ways in Holiday Inn. Perfectly adequate hotel for this purpose. One downside: there is a large truck stop right next to the hotel, and often times big rigs are maneuvering in/out of it, making the access to the hotel cumbersome for some 5-10 minutes

Breakfast was amazing!

I've stayed at this property 2 years in a row now as I travel up / down I-5. It is so convenient and everything is very clean and well kept. Staff is very friendly and efficient, and I really like the breakfast.

Everything was great, I wish breakfast was served at 6:00 or even a bag with a piece of fruit and something else small. Some hotels offer this service and it’s nice to have a grab and go option for the early risers. Will definitely stay qgain

Staff was friendly, attentive and competent. The continental breakfast was varied and very good.

Property wouldnt make coffee after it sat in a pot for 3.5 to 4 hours. Staff was rude. Got a noise complaint 10 mins in to arrival, knowing full well i needed to move my stuff in. Breakfast was only pre-packaged muffins and stale coffee. Will never go back to such a horrible stay. Just pathetic for the holiday inn.

Really like the place. Its seventeen years old and feels brand new. Room was big and very clean. Dove products in the shower. Refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (bring ypur own cups). Breakfast was solid. Gravy and biscuts were excellent. Nice sausage gravy.

The breakfast wasn’t great. The choices of fruit were only apples and there was only sausage for breakfast meat.
