Dunes Motel - Bend

It was definitely cozy, romantic, cuddling here was very epic. Parking not so great.

Better than expected. Clean through out. TV was hit and miss, most channels were distorted with interference. Parking was akward.

Appears that the property has been updated in the last few years. Overall decent place to stay at an affordable rate.

Very clean, newly updated rooms. On site laundry is very helpful on a long, family trip. Friendly staff.

Room was pleasant and clean. Lack of electrical outlets was a problem for my wife's CPAP machine. Clerk was not particularly friendly, although he was competent. Parking was difficult, particularly for my truck.

Outside area is very loud. An extra sect charge of $200 is added to your card temporarily. The owners only spoke English when they spoke directly to you so you felt as if something was wrong with your reservation. The restaurant next door was great! The room was cute and clean.

Clean. Good location for our needs. Not enough parking. We had to park in a parking lot for another business and pray our car didn’t get towed!

Had a one night stay in Bend, and selected the Dunes. It is a small facility, but very clean, very comfortable, and VERY affordable. A great value. If I ever had to go back to Bend, I would not hesitate to rebook here.

There is no elevator to the second floor rooms. Not good. Our room had two queen-size beds for us. We needed only one. With two queen beds the room was cramped. No pool or outside area for relaxing in the fresh air. It's relatively cheap. Remember, you are getting a cheap room, regardless of the cost.

Great value for convenient location. Room was a bit tacky and random but charming. I enjoyed the whirlpool tub but did my own cleaning go over before soak. Floors and under bed could be more clean. TV was nice size but didn't have a clear picture and the remote was jenky. However there is an HDMI input to hook up your own computer and the picture clears up. Thanks!

Checked in and found hair all over pillows and bedding, checked out with minutes and no refund!

Clean and updated!

Walking into the room, I pulled the cover on both beds. There was blocked hair on the sheets of both beds not just one floor was so dirty, but your feet stuck to the floor. When I went to the front desk to tell them about the hair on the bed. The owner came in and inspected them. Acted like I didn’t know what I was talking about. I made them change the sheets that came in was very upset that she had to do extra work. This hotel was absolutely filthy. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone .

I’m not sure how this place has such high reviews on Expedia. While the place has been updated somewhat, it’s a bit sloppy with broken light switch covers, weird wall patches, and oddly spliced tile. The room is fine for a night but the area is noisy and a little nerve wrecking. I’ve stayed at a lot of off the road motels like this and while I think the staff is great, there could be some improvements, especially with cleanliness. Lots of dust left around, mystery stains on the curtains you can’t fully close, and left behind bathroom mess.

The price was really reasonable, its an older motel but they've done a nice job with the updates. The water pressure is crazy and the hot and cold are switched in the shower but thats not that big of a deal. The towels are really soft, lol. Overall I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend this motel.

Very clean updated room. We enjoyed the room. Traffic noise til about 7 but the motel has no control over that.

Relatively clean and well equipped room but location at a rather busy intersection meant traffic noise outside kept us from sleep until late.

TV picture quality was bad, very grainy if that matters to you.

The motel was excellent. Very clean, nicely remodeled, good internet, comfortable mattress, pillows of various sizes. I’ll be back.

I will sum it up with one word: Outstanding. Beautiful room and although I was on the top floor and next to a busy artery, it wasn't that noisy. I was comfortable and slept well. I will be staying here again whenever I am in Bend. You won't be disappointed. The Black Bear diner is right next door and my favorite Phô restaurant is a 5 minute walk just across and down the street.

Room was better than expected given some of the recent negative reviews. It was clean, comfortable, staff was friendly. It’s clear they renovated/updated the rooms. Only complaint was that there was very limited functional storage - no dresser or shelves, just some hangers and had to move coffee items on top of microwave to make counter space. Nothing we couldn’t handle though and overall was a great stay.

They remodeled hotel room. It looked very nice, it was very clean, all fixtures were new. Bed was comfortable and heater worked really good we enjoyed our stay there.

Horrible customer service. Lied twice, refused to help with issue. Phone in room didn't work but they said it did. Check in there was a $200 deposit that wasn't known. Tv barely worked, every channel was fuzzy and the picture was half the size of the tv. Told me there were no more rooms to move me but there were.

I reserved a room for my husband and I for a concert. After a 4hr drive to get there, I was eager to check in and get settled. At the check in desk we were greeted by whom I assumed was the owner, he wasn't very friendly. I guessed he has had problems with previous guests or maybe it was a culture difference, idk but it didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. He made a point of saying twice there was no smoking in the room, we assured him we wouldn't be smoking in the room and finally got the key card from him. Upon entering the room it seemed ok, really small but looked to be recently renovated. We got a "romantic" queen bed with a jetted tub. I was not impressed with either. The bed was uncomfortable and the tub (was supposed to fit two people) was small and barely fit one person. The flooring was sticky and I decided to leave my shoes on while there. My husband is a smoker and was outside smoking when the owner came up to him and said there was no smoking on the property and that we couldn't park in the handicapped space without a placard. My husband is a disabled veteran and we have special plates clearly showing a wheelchair and explained we don't have a placard. He mumbled something under his breath and walked away. His wife and son worked there as well and they were friendly. I suggest that he learn from his family cuz I can't imagine reviews being good with his poor attitude!

Perfectly fine for the price. Just no efforts (that I noticed) to make travelers feel welcomed. At the least, coffee in the reception area in the morning would be a great addition.

Fit the purpose for what I wanted since the location was key. Also the price was affordable but if you're looking for a quiet place, this isn't it. Road noise is pretty bad.

The hotel was in located in an area that wasn't too far from most attractions. It was updated and clean. Staff was helpful. Price was reasonable. Would stay again.

Really nice little spot close to downtown. The only thing is that you can hear cars driving by during peak traffic times. Over all it was nice decorative and comfortable nights sleep.

Dunes is a greet place for a quick and easy stay. Next to a bunch of food and groceries and close to whatever you want to drive to bend for.

We were here just overnight not even 12 hours at the property. It looked like a brand new building. Very cool design. Nice breakfast place next door

It was Ideal, one night stay and within walking distance to local spots. Clean rooms with friendly staff.

Near the blockbuster and a big bear diner across the street. The Cuban food spot is good on the other side too. Close to downtown. Rooms renovated and beautiful!

I only stayed one night, but the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It’s definitely an older building, but my room was updated and clean. There are several places to eat and shop all within a short walk from my room. I would definitely stay here again!

Good place for a great price. Good hot water and pressure except low shower head. The bed frame had a metal, flexible covering that sounded like thunder every time we bumped it. But we would definitely stay again! Close to walk to breweries. Great Cuban restaurant across the street.
