The Vacationers - Pvt Rooms with Shared Bath

The room was fine, nice to have a room to myself 🙂 The only thing I would say that was a slight problem was the attachment for the shower head, but it was perfect 👍

There is no hot water.

The property is a house with 4 individual rooms, a kitchen and a downstairs bathroom/toilet. The property is very run down and if i could add photo’s i would. Let’s start with the room itself, i was on the upper floor and the carpet on the staircase leading up to the room is filthy, which your need to walk on in bare feet to get to the bathroom and back, unless you take indoor footware. The carpet in the room was of the same standard and there were also stains all over it. There was a very cheap desk which was covered in vinyl, which was all blistered and also had food stains on it. The spare pillows were stained and I didn’t dare look art the ones on the bed. There was a Smart TV in the room which was filthy and of no use as the remote control did not work. I messaged the owner on hostels.com messaging to inform of this but got no reply during my 2 night stay. The velux window would not open so there was no fresh air and the place had a pungency about it. The bathroom shower fixture was old and loose on the wall all and the box section around the pipework for the toilet was falling apart. The sink is a small en-suite one (even though there was plenty of room for a normal size) which was both dirty and awkward to use. There was no way i was using anything from the kitchen as i went to get a glass and they were all filthy. Overall this property was classed as a 2 star so i wasn’t expecting much but it was far lower than my expectations. This place is dirty and disgusting.

Good location and value.

I like how the informations needed by the guests to access the property were sent via email with proper guidance and direction. Also, the technology on the door to access the property. The serenity and privacy of the home was good amongst other things. Also the rooms are clean.
