The Firehouse Inn is a beautiful historic property that was originally a firehouse. It has a large gathering space where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Donna. The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we enjoyed our visit there very much! We would highly recommend a stay here while visiting the area.

Amazing facility with adorable rooms and living room/dining room. The courtyard is a great place to relax or do yoga. Donna provided fantastic breakfast and conversation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. She even packed breakfast sandwiches for our early morning departure the last day. We will be back.

A unique and very comfortable place to stay in Rutherfordton, NC during IEA National Jumper Championship. Super convenient on-street parking and very comfortable beds. Very close to the Tryon International Equestrian Center. The old updated municipal center made for a very interesting Inn and a nice tour by Mary, the Inn Keeper. She is very friendly, accommodating and always looking for a way to make your stay even better. Donna, the chef, prepared a delicious breakfast and told us more about the Inn's history. The Inn is working to add more event spaces. We hope to see how it all turns out on our next visit.

The common areas are beautiful and very comfortable. There is also a charming courtyard to hang out in. Breakfast was very good. The Inn is walking distance to shops and restaurants. We rented the suite, which was huge!

So fun staying in a renovated fire house and police department! It's a beautiful setting with a delightful outdoor patio with fountains and a dramatic common space. The staff couldn't be more welcoming or accommodating. We enjoyed lavish hot breakfasts and insights into the community. Highly recommended!

My stay at the Firehouse Inn was amazing. This beautiful old building is stunning and the staff were amazing. They really couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are very spacious, clean and tidy with plenty of towels and toiletries. The breakfast was amazing prepared by the lovely Donna and Mary the Inn keeper was also amazing. I have been coming here for over 6/7 years on and off with business but the new owners have definitely gone about improving the little things to bring the building up a notch in standard. I noticed that all the wooden floors have been beautifully sanded and polished and look amazing. This beautiful Inn is in a fabulous location ideal for company retreats where you can rent out the whole Inn and it has a new event space where you can set up seating for over a hundred people. Well worth checking out. I will keep going back anyway.

We were met by the innkeeper (Mary) upon arrival and given a brief tour. She could not have been more welcoming, and was very responsive to any of our needs or inquiries during our stay. The Inn was very clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas! Donna took great pride in preparing the food and joyfully served each guest with a delicious, beautifully plated breakfast. I would definitely stay here again!

Way better than our other option. Old but well kept. Suite #1 is the bomb. Donna is a great chef and you get a gourmet breakfast. The Dining / Living Area is fabulous.

Staying at the Firehouse Inn was like staying home. If the walls could talk, they would more than likely say that it’s guests were comfy cozy and well taken care of. We stayed in room 1, which has a jetted bathtub, a great soaker. We haven’t stayed much in American B&Bs, but Europe we have. We must say, it was a great introduction to b&bs in the US. If that wasn’t enough, Donna served up a breakfast that we are still talking about today. The Long Horn beef sausages will the be the reason we stop through for breakfast when passing through! The million dollar bacon was awesome and the service exquisite. We appreciated the small town feel, especially coming from Atlanta. Thanks Donna for a wonderful stay! We can’t wait to come back.

We stopped here on our way to our final destination. We had no idea what to expect of the area and hotel before we arrived. The hotel has been restored and the rooms decorated to an extremely high standard. The only negative was the ladders (firemans) to the mezzanine were incredibly steep and we were a little concerned by the potential for our kids to fall in the night The breakfast menu was suggested and cooked for us and was delicious. The surrounding area was quiet but on the whole well maintained with some beautiful historic buildings and independent stores. Our stay here was a great start to our holiday as it is a beautiful hotel and we would stay ahain.

Donna served a fantastic morning breakfast meal. She was friendly and informative. Room was big and very comfortable. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and nice shower. Our room (Suite #1) was previously a police station over a fire department. Loaded with memorabilia and stories. Kitty was a very gracious host. Will return again.

Stayed in a room with a loft which was great for our teenager. That ladder to the loft was steep, but they had no problem with it. The breakfast menu varies, but you can ask for cistomizations and it all was delicious!

Our stay at The Firehouse Inn was amazing. From start to finish we had an incredible stay. The staff with Mary the Inn keeper and Donna our chef for breakfast they were amazing. The building is an amazing period building and will be 100 years old later this year and it have every bit of the charm that a building like this should have. The rooms were very spacious and very comfortable. Endless supply of towels if needed and just all round super hospitality. This was my wife's first time visiting Rutherfordton in NC and she absolutely love it and is looking forward to coming back already. If you are ever feed yourself in North Carolina make sure you put this beautiful Inn on your list of places to visit you will not be disappointed, in fact the only disappointment will be having to leave. There are some amazing things to do in the area, like visiting Biltmore Mansion, wine tasting at Mountain Brook Vineyard, and so much more. Visited for a spartan weekend at Tyron equestrian centre. Fantastic hotel, feels more like a home away from home and the staff so were so friendly and welcoming. Delicious breakfast freshly cooked and very accommodating of our early starts despite the late notice.

We were met by the innkeeper (Mary) upon arrival and given a brief tour. She could not have been more welcoming, and was very responsive to any of our needs or inquiries during our stay. The Inn was very clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas! Donna took great pride in preparing the food and joyfully served each guest with a delicious, beautifully plated breakfast. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Firehouse Inn. The staff made the stay great, and the breakfast was amazing. The building and room were beautiful. If we ever are in the area again, we will stay at the Firehouse Inn.

Amazing facility with adorable rooms and living room/dining room. The courtyard is a great place to relax or do yoga. Donna provided fantastic breakfast and conversation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. She even packed breakfast sandwiches for our early morning departure the last day. We will be back.

A unique and very comfortable place to stay in Rutherfordton, NC during IEA National Jumper Championship. Super convenient on-street parking and very comfortable beds. Very close to the Tryon International Equestrian Center. The old updated municipal center made for a very interesting Inn and a nice tour by Mary, the Inn Keeper. She is very friendly, accommodating and always looking for a way to make your stay even better. Donna, the chef, prepared a delicious breakfast and told us more about the Inn's history. Mary and Nancy are the best!!! They are so welcoming and simply love to hear about what you have going on. We had a nice stay and the breakfast every morning was amazing!!! They added their own little touch to everything they did!!!

My stay at the Firehouse Inn was amazing. This beautiful old building is stunning and the staff were amazing. They really couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are very spacious, clean and tidy with plenty of towels and toiletries. The breakfast was amazing prepared by the lovely Donna and Mary the Inn keeper was also amazing. I have been coming here for over 6/7 years on and off with business but the new owners have definitely gone about improving the little things to bring the building up a notch in standard. I noticed that all the wooden floors have been beautifully sanded and polished and look amazing. This beautiful Inn is in a fabulous location ideal for company retreats where you can rent out the whole Inn and it has a new event space where you can set up seating for over a hundred people. Well worth checking out. I will keep going back anyway.

We stopped here on our way to our final destination. We had no idea what to expect of the area and hotel before we arrived. The hotel has been restored and the rooms decorated to an extremely high standard. The only negative was the ladders (firemans) to the mezzanine were incredibly steep and we were a little concerned by the potential for our kids to fall in the night The breakfast menu was suggested and cooked for us and was delicious. The surrounding area was quiet but on the whole well maintained with some beautiful historic buildings and independent stores. Our stay here was a great start to our holiday as it is a beautiful hotel and we would stay ahain.

The Inn is about an hour from Asheville but Rutherfordton has cute stores and places to eat and get coffee. The Purple Martin Greenway is just down the street and there is another similar path in Forest City nearby. The Inn was cozy and cute!

Donna was really sweet and accommodating. She made my grand babies cookies. We stayed for a horse show at Tryon. We will be back next year! The room was comfortable and there are lots of places to get food.

The common areas are beautiful and very comfortable. There is also a charming courtyard to hang out in. Breakfast was very good. The Inn is walking distance to shops and restaurants. We rented the suite, which was huge!

Our stay at The Firehouse Inn was amazing. From start to finish we had an incredible stay. The staff with Mary the Inn keeper and Donna our chef for breakfast they were amazing. The building is an amazing period building and will be 100 years old later this year and it have every bit of the charm that a building like this should have. The rooms were very spacious and very comfortable. Endless supply of towels if needed and just all round super hospitality. This was my wife's first time visiting Rutherfordton in NC and she absolutely love it and is looking forward to coming back already. If you are ever feed yourself in North Carolina make sure you put this beautiful Inn on your list of places to visit you will not be disappointed, in fact the only disappointment will be having to leave. There are some amazing things to do in the area, like visiting Biltmore Mansion, wine tasting at Mountain Brook Vineyard, and so much more. Thank you guys for an amazing stay and look forward to seeing you all soon.

The Firehouse Inn for us was a unique and positive experience. This Inn was designed for travelers looking for something out of the ordinary in a one of a kind setting. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated. However, the best part of our stay was breakfast! Chef Donna makes breakfast truly memorable! Donna provides a delicious meal while making guests feel as though they were friends dining in her own home. We will certainly choose the Firehouse Inn again when visiting the Rutherfordton area! Firehouse Inn is filled with olde world charm. Hand painted walls, claw foot chairs, Bose audio system for easy listening, TV and a fireplace in large living room. Dining area can seat multiple guests in comfort. The hospitality is amazing! Donna’s cooking skills are mouthwatering and Mary is the go to person to get you settled in. Our bedroom had a very comfortable bed, lounge chair with ottoman and spotless bathroom. Shower was large enough for two people 👍! Will definitely visit again.
