Best Western Plus Heritage Rail-South York/I-83

Loved the fact that there was a full bar available. This was a pleasant surprise. Also, very close to some great eating establishments and conveniently located right off the highway.

The property staff were very nice and accommodating. The weather was gorgeous and the pool area was closed- I wish that it were an option to go sit by it during my stay but it was closed. The breakfast had a nice variety and the food was properly cooked. The dining space was clean. I’d stay there again

Nice place until I had to shower. It had an issue with draining in the tub. Breakfast was good and lots of options. My son happy he got to work out in fitness center at night.

I had a great experience. I especially like that they have a bar so you can get a night cap before bed.

Property was well maintained and the outside pool was very clean

Quiet. Easy parking. right off highway. Bar was only open on Friday night, but the facility was fine.

Took my family on vacation and this was a great stay good customer service very pleasant and helpful beds was very comfortable and my daughter loved the pool I will stay there again

Average hotel, clearly an older hotel that was renovated and it shows. Bit of a strange smell in the hallways. Room was not the cleanest but nothing too awful. Room was very dim which was odd, almost seemed intentional because there's no reason why there can't be an extra lamp or something. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast which is good especially if traveling with kids. lobby area was clean and well kept. Lots of parking. Area seemed safe. Hotel was quiet.

Upon entering our King Suite, there was a bag of trash and the entryway tile had dirty spots on the floor. Called front desk, they came and got the bag of trash. Coffer maker would not work. Only got a few tablespoons of coffee in cup. Room had two (2) sinks...one in bathroom wouldn't hold water and one in room wouldn't drain the water. No lights on right side of room to light uo coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator or sink. Very dark in that area. If claustrophobic, don't use the bathroom. I called front desk fot 3:30 am wakeup call. Never received it. Thank God I didn't actually fall asleep all night, because I WOULD OF MISSED MY SURGERY. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable. For being supposedly a newly remodeled hotel with new name, it sucked.

Exceeded expectations in every way. Our room was so clean and fresh that we felt like we were the first ones to stay there!

Excellent overall, breakfast food choices were good, staff friendly and helpful. Overall cleanliness was good except room floor was a bit dirty but I always wear socks that show.

About the only thing positive about our stay was the friendliness of the front desk staff. We checked in in the afternoon and returned for our stay about 9:00 pm. we went to our room and discovered they had given us a king bed instead of the 2 queens we requested. The was also a very powerful and unpleasant odor in the room. We returned to the front desk to get the room situation corrected and were given a room with 2 queens 2 doors down from the previous room. There was still an odor in the room though not as strong. Additionally, there was a small electric device plugged in on the floor which claimed to be some sort of odor suppressor which i had to return to the front desk. The bedding smelled strongly of bleach but at this point we weren't changing rooms again. The next morning both my husband and i took showers only to find that the tub drained very poorly. In addition to all of this, the entry (foyer) light in both rooms we were in did not work. We had stayed in this hotel many times previously when it was a Holiday Inn Express and did not have these issues.

Food was hot and plentiful. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Whole facility like new and very clean.

Everything was clean and freshly renovated. The landscaping was nice and neat, well manicured. Also staff was nice and attentive.

The lady at the front desk was phenomenal. That’s where the good ended. My room the air didn’t work. The hotel was full so no other room was available. The shower did not drain, my daughter took a shower and the entire tub filled up. Then the blanket had blood on it. Luckily I didn’t need it since the air didn’t work. I was offered a different room around 10pm but the two kids were already in bed trying to sleep, I wasn’t going to move our entire room myself and wake them up. Pretty upsetting for $180 a night. No air, no clean shower or blankets. Kinda gross. Def won’t stay here again.

I was surprised at the crumbs and hairs found in the bathroom and desk area. Staff great. Appreciated guest laundry. Since few guests when i was there it was quiet for sleeping. The shower was the weirdest shower i have ever seen. Several dials and zero labels or icons. And as you step out of the shower, you step on a doorstop attached to the floor. Bed comfy. Alarm clock casts shadows. Breakfast good but missed the yogurt found at most hotel breakfasts.

The HVAC unit was extremely loud. There were two screws protruding up from floor that caught bottom of door every time door was opened or closed - this should be addressed asap for safety of guests. Breakfast was great! Staff was welcoming.

We had to move rooms because there was a problem with the fire alarm beeping (something they knew about and told us about when we mentioned it to them). New room had smaller fridge which wouldn't have been an issue if we didn't have leftovers from dinner. Other then that, the stay was nice.

The staff was amazing! Absolutely no complaints there. They were friendly, accommodating, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with the service. There were a few things that made it a bit of a rough stay. One being the room was VERY small. I did not think it would be SO small considering it was a suite with 3 beds. There was NO room to move around, let alone fit our things. I had to actually walk sideways to get to my side of the bed because it was so close to the wall/ac unit. You couldn’t use the bathroom and open the door, and with 5 people and 2 dogs we constantly needed to be in each others space so not being about to move around each other was difficult. I almost brought our dog cage because our 2nd dog was a brand new puppy we got 2 weeks prior and I didn’t want to worry about accidents in the room or chewing. Thankfully we found he was pretty well trained so I felt comfortable not to bring it. If I had…. There was NO WAY it would have fit. There was that little room, that we couldn’t even have squeezed a cage in ANYWHERE. The water pressure was very low so I wasn’t positive I had gotten all of the soap out of my hair. I will say the breakfast was AWESOME we loved the variety of options they offered.

Generally speaking the room was comfortable. It felt like they were remodeled recently for a more premium experience, but some things fell short. There were two beautiful TVs in the room, probably the two best I've ever seen and I hotel. One of them never connected to the internet and was useless. That said we didn't need two. The Wi-Fi was rather finicky and was frequently dropping out. We were getting ready to leave in the morning, heard a loud crash immediately opened the door, there was no one around but a picture had fallen off the wall. It didn't look like the first time. The breakfast area was not laid out well and a number of things were unavailable. The bathroom was incredibly small, the toilet is right in the middle of the room and it's difficult to even open the door. Refrigerator seem to keep drinks cold, the microwave was full size, mounted on the wall, and there was a Keurig coffee machine available. There was also plenty of shelf space and counter space to set things, as well as a small wet bar sink in addition to the bathroom. The room was supposed to have two beds to pull out couch which it did. What was unusual was that one bed seem to be a full, and the other a queen. One was just slightly larger than the other. Not necessarily a problem, but unusual. Pool was nice. Much of the furniture moved throughout the room. When leaning against the bed the mattress slid away off to one side. I would consider staying again, my wife would not.

My only complaint is that I felt the lighting in the room could be brighter!

The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in. My room was clean and nice. The only issue I had was the water pressure in the shower was disappointing.

The room was very clean. Bedding was comfortable . Only 1 minor complaint is that the HVAC unit was noisy and had a high pitched hum . Turned it off, luckily it wasn’t too hot outside, so the temperature was ok. Breakfast was excellent, waffles were great.

I booked through hotels.com for a king bedroom with walk-in shower. Room ok but low profile tub...not walk-in. Staff provided me with tub mat. The shower had hand-rail but not walk-in as advertised. Please coordinate your ads with hotel! Not happy. Thanks for asking.

Nothing was unique! Parking lot was weird! There isn't enough handicap parking and when I drove around to the back there was only one handicap parking space! There were guys there doing the landscaping and they had their hand prints all over the hood of my SUV! There wasn't any reason for them to put their hands or anything on my truck and I know that they did it because I had just had my SUV detailed and it wasn't on there when I parked my truck! If I could've gotten a handicap parking spot closer to the hotel this probably wouldn't have happened! The elevator broke down! One of the elevators was already out of service and my 9 year old granddaughter got stuck on the elevator and there was NO SENSE OF URGENCY by the lady that was there! They had to pry the elevator door open to get my granddaughter and another guest out! She FINALLY called the fire department or EMS but they didn't get there in a timely manner either! The other manager came in and she was very helpful and I forgot to ask her name! My oldest granddaughter was still upstairs and our room was on the 5th floor and I asked them how was she going to get downstairs and who was going to help her?? I have mobility issues so I can't do stairs! They sent one of the men workers up there to help but he didn't even speak English! SMH then I heard the front desk lady tell some other guests that both of the elevators were closed??? How do you do that?? What was the other disabled guests supposed to do as far as getting back

The desk staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful made a good recommendation for dinner.

The welcome we received wasn't the warmest. We arrived before the official check-in time and inquired about the possibility of getting into our room early. The staff member we spoke with seemed quite unwelcoming and gave us a rather curt response when we asked about the room's availability, simply stating the standard check-in time. It felt unnecessarily rude.

The communication via text from a hotel was a first for me. We were welcomed and given dinner suggestions via text!!

Front desk didn't acknowledge me twice when approaching. Made me wait minutes to ask me only to wait again. Would not allow check in when arriving 40 minutes before the time period yet the customer before checked in early. No explanation for the difference in treatment.

Room was good... But terrible water pressure. They had a great shower head with rain and massage settings, but the pressure was too low to use it. Breakfast was horrible. Old waffle batter, pancake machine not working, yogurt machine not working, no spoon for oatmeal crock... It was just bad all around.

Gluten free options for breakfast were okay. We notified we were coming then was told the last one had been eaten the day previous.

The breakfast was great and had real food and changed day to day. Juices, coffee, and hot chocolate are available 24/7. The receptionist was amazing and kind loving up on the dogs. Our dog room was nice, and easy to stay clean, ground floor, and close to a door. Bar was nice, didn’t have time to check out the game room. Smelled nice and clean.

It was a very clean, friendly, comfortable place to stay for the long weekend! Breakfast in the morning was wonderful lots of different options and choices.
