Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this hotel. My husband and I travelled with our dog and we were made very welcome, they even gave our dog a gift bag of toy, treats and poop bags, as well as a list of nearby dog parks. The property was a short walk to trails along the Erie Canal and there were restaurants and coffee shops with walking distance as well.

We were able to check in early. Property was close to the wedding venue we were going to. Great parking, friendly service, large and clean room, enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Great breakfast buffet.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Rochester/ Pittsford to be conveniently located to the Buffalo Bills training camp. It was close, easy to park, refreshing pool and a super kind staff. We were delighted with our stay. Thank you!

The staff was very helpful and very pleasant. The property was very nice on the outside. Inside the room furniture was quite worn as well as the door casings. The room needed attention. We were disturbed while getting ready in the morning by housekeeping at 8:35 am to make sure we were checking out by 11, weird. The trash service woke us up quite loudly a little before 7 am. The biggest complaint that I have is that the pool looked cloudy with stuff in it so we couldn't go swimming.

the only drawbacks we experienced were for the most part caused by the eclipse happening. the breakfast buffet on monday took forever to seat me and by the time i was allowed in they had been running out of food. Half an hour to access half a buffet? AND we're expected to pay extra for it. Wow. Given the circumstances it should have been complimentary. Also there was some kind of event that occupied the whole front parking lot--again, related to the solar eclipse happening, as they were setting it up for event space. We ended up parking down the side of the building where, thankfully, there was at least a door our keycards would open to the elevator... but also the elevator itself was kind of dicey. there was another one at the other end of the building far away from everything, so that wasn't terribly likely for us to use, and i couldn't find a parking area that would take me close to it, so it was AS THOUGH the building only had one elevator. Would have been better if there were at least two elevators connecting to the lobby. It got pretty backed up. Look, I'm not *that* up in arms about any of this though. I'm not fixing to "die on this hill" proverbially speaking. It was good. I'd probably book them again sometime, even, if the situation arose. It was mostly the fact that their staff seemed to have some adjustment pains to this unique scenario. All I'm saying is that things COULD have been handled better with more training and coordination, that's all. Overall good.

While the main things were clean and well-run it is obvious that the property needs a thorough upgrade/cleaning...hallway carpets wrinked and dirty, common area seating should be replaced or steam cleaned, toilet in bathroom outdated ..very low to floor.

The first room I checked into on the "terrace" level (ie basement) was really damp, with mold growing in the shower and a horrible smell in the bathroom in general. To their credit, they quickly moved me to a new room on the first floor. No smell but still mold in the bathroom. Needs some attention.

Just another Hilton Garden Inn that needs a refresh. Stayed in many and they’re all in the same condition. Dirty run down bathroom, old a/c unit in room that didn’t cool down with a mustyv smell. Par for the course from Hilton.

I think they have to have a 24-hour cleaning staff since I made my stay at 4:00 pm and they gave me the room completely dirty the bathroom they hadn't touched it the towels were dirty I talked to the resection staff I informed them of what was happening and they never sent anyone to clean and but I still had to ask them for the clean towels to More than twice and he never took them to the room we had to go down to look for them and cleaning ourselves was a very bad experience

The hotel was very pretty from the exterior in a good, convenient location. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a slow moving drain in the sink and the carpets needed a good cleaning.

Cobwebs, spiders, housekeeping oh my. The property is not a bad property. It was the way we were treated. We found cobwebs in our room in the lights, the corners & the ceiling. I told them that where there are cobwebs there are spiders & sure enough my husband found a spider in the bathroom! We requested either to clean the room & move us or at least buy us dinner. The next morning we left came back the late afternoon, the bed was made but all the spiderwebs were still there! I called the front desk and they tell me that I opted out of the housekeeping. I did not! I was told that there would be no housekeeping until the fourth day of our five day stay and I HAD ALREADY ASKED THEM TO CLEAN BECAUSE OF THE COBWEBS!!!! We did get the free dinners but when my husband told the girl at the front desk about the spider, she didn't blink, she didn't care. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

While the room was clean, it desperately needs maintenance. Wallpaper was peeling at every seam and paint was peeling. The shower had grout issues that have nothing to do with cleanliness and everything to do with proper installation and maintenance. The toilet wasn’t bolted properly either.

The desk clerk who checked us in was not welcoming and very slow. He did not point out any amenities. The server in the restaurant at breakfast was rude, and then tried to make up for it by being overly friendly.

It smelled musty, almost moldy. I went to get coffee in the morning and when I came back to my room a maid was standing in my room. No cart, that was down a different hallway with other cleaning personnel. No where near my room. It woke my son up, startled him and he said she was looking in my purse and then I came in. She rushed out. I told the manager and they spoke with her but didn’t seem concerned. Never again!

The room was super nice and everything comfortable. When I requested different pillows because of an allergy my wife had, they were replaced within 5 minutes. Very attentive and polite staff.

I think they have to have a 24-hour cleaning staff since I made my stay at 4:00 pm and they gave me the room completely dirty the bathroom they hadn't touched it the towels were dirty I talked to the resection staff I informed them of what was happening and they never sent anyone to clean and but I still had to ask them for the clean towels to More than twice and he never took them to the room we had to go down to look for them and cleaning ourselves was a very bad experience

This is our second time staying here. And, it is the second time because we enjoyed it so much the first time! It is located in a quiet rural setting, the grounds are well kept, and you are able to walk to the Eire Canal and restaurants. And, before I stop, I need to let you know what a wonderful choice you made hiring Becca for the front desk position. She checked us in and was a delightful experience! She is priceless!! It does your heart good to meet such a person as happy as she is.

Dinner Friday was just ok. We had burgers. Fries and service were great. Sunday breakfast was horrible. We had the buffet, we ate around 10:00. All of the hot items were cold, the croissants were stale. The waitress was very inattentive.

The entire reason that I stayed at this hotel was because it had a restaurant on the property which I never got to use because they did not open it so I was very disappointed

We were able to check in early. Property was close to the wedding venue we were going to. Great parking, friendly service, large and clean room, enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Great breakfast buffet.

the only drawbacks we experienced were for the most part caused by the eclipse happening. the breakfast buffet on monday took forever to seat me and by the time i was allowed in they had been running out of food. Half an hour to access half a buffet? AND we're expected to pay extra for it. Wow. Given the circumstances it should have been complimentary. Also there was some kind of event that occupied the whole front parking lot--again, related to the solar eclipse happening, as they were setting it up for event space. We ended up parking down the side of the building where, thankfully, there was at least a door our keycards would open to the elevator... but also the elevator itself was kind of dicey. there was another one at the other end of the building far away from everything, so that wasn't terribly likely for us to use, and i couldn't find a parking area that would take me close to it, so it was AS THOUGH the building only had one elevator. Would have been better if there were at least two elevators connecting to the lobby. It got pretty backed up. Look, I'm not *that* up in arms about any of this though. I'm not fixing to "die on this hill" proverbially speaking. It was good. I'd probably book them again sometime, even, if the situation arose. It was mostly the fact that their staff seemed to have some adjustment pains to this unique scenario. All I'm saying is that things COULD have been handled better with more training and coordination, that's all. Overall good.

The pros: Samantha Was great at straightening out my reservation which was not in place. The location was in a lovely , convenient area. Short drive to Schoen Place attractions and downtown Pittsford. Also a short drive downtown Rochester The cons: The breakfast was just ok. The chafing dish items were not hot ,nor was the served coffee. Some parts of the property could use a face lift and there were some minor problems with our room…. an intermittent motor noise in the bathroom and a bathroom light fixture that blinked like strobe.
