No major complaints. Main needs are well met (kitchen, towels, linens, etc.) Full disclosure, we did not use the upstairs which looked very nice. Owner/manager both very responsive. Room for improvement IMO: 1) mention that property is adjacent with somewhat noisy highway; 2) given garage-only access, freshen up garage; 3) listing doesn't note that basement upgrades still in progress; and 4) living room furniture is, again IMO, not great. Could also use more instructions about TV/movie operation (actually, just give access to Netflix!) and we couldn't find dishwasher manual.

Overall great space. Some minor issues-dishwasher wouldnt work correctly and toilet in half bath broke. Recommend bathroom for bedroom in lower level(at least toilet & sink). Pontoon fun and the manager Willy was great to work with and attentive.

We had everything we needed just had to buy food. Absolutely fabulous vacation at this home! So enjoyed Waupaca! Enjoyed the pontoon boat and traveled the Chain of Lakes, so beautiful! Thank you and we hope we can come next year! Willie was very helpful!

Appreciated how comfortable the home was. The kitchen was well stocked with basic needs and a huge pantry for storage. The short trip down to the pier wasn't any problem and there was ample parking. The owner seemed very friendly as well. Nice neighborhood too!

Property was wonderful with plenty of space for everyone. Process of checking in and boat orientation was quick and efficient. Back area for fire pits had plenty of room and wood to burn. Even if the fish weren’t bitting for us, was a wonderful time to go on the pontoon and coast on the lakes and take in the views. Would definitely come again!!!

I was extremely disappointed in this property. Although communication and the caretaker were "on-point" the overall experience was not as it was listed. Following are some of the issues:1. Serious stench in the garage. This is the first impression since you go through garage upon entry. 2. Dirty floors. We swept and cleaned the main area and the towels used to wipe the floor turned BLACK.3. The grill was complete junk and laying out with yuck on it. Although the caretaker came over after our arrival to fix it, it was still not useable.4. The main floor and upstairs toilets were cracked and not very clean or stained with rust stains. 5. The main floor was dusty-everything including the bookshelf and kitchen table were dusty!6. The handles on the upstairs bedroom were loose and the screws were falling out.7. It was extremely difficult to get in/out of the driveway with the trees blocking much of the view. 8. On the main floor, the master bedroom shower had the electrical outlet exposed. There was a light bulb in the shower light, but no cover to protect it.9. Behind the washer and dryer was filthy. I dropped something and had to retrieve it, when I noticed the filth and junk behind it.10. The fire pit on the wooden deck seems like a fire hazard. 11. Some of the deck boards were visibly loose and rotted. 12. The house smelled musty. 13. The backyard is not user friendly, and poison ivy was everywhere!

We enjoyed our week in Waupaca exploring the area. The home was very spacious and clean. We cruised the Chain of Lakes on the pontoon boat which ran well. We enjoyed kayaking and hiking in Hartman Creek State Park, just minutes away from the house.

Beautiful spacious home, had a wonderful time staying here with our family and boating on the Chain O Lakes. Everything you need is conveniently made available from the host, bedding, towels, etc. and a pretty well equipped kitchen made our stay more comfortable. Our whole family had an excellent time staying here in Waupaca.

The property was very spacious. Loved the location. There were issues with the dishwasher and washer leaking water. So did not use the dishwasher. It had been running before we arrived and the water was on the floor. Did let property manager know. One of the two air mattress’s did not hold air. Overall stay was fine. Really loved all the space.

This is a spacious house with a location close to restaurants, stores and kayak rentals. The price for renting the host’s pontoon boat for a week was very reasonable. We enjoyed the outdoor patio… just a little loud since the main road is right there. The backyard is very steep so we didn’t use it. We only had one major complaint… The air conditioning wasn’t working. I had to call the property manager and then the owner to discuss the problem. Luckily it was fixed pretty quickly because the house got up to 80°. The pontoon boat (you have to walk down the street to get to it) ran well but we could not use it at night because the running lights didn’t work. We had 12 adults in our group… Three of which had to sleep in the unfinished basement. I would say this is a more comfortable place for eight people since there are three bedrooms (master suite on the first floor) and one queen size sofa bed in the loft.

Our family had a wonderful time with our week-long stay. Accommodations were perfect. Fun time on pontoon boat all week, too. We fixed the pontoon door, bought a new anchor and rope and cleared out the dryer vent in the garage. Great air conditioned home with beautiful features. All beds very comfy. Beautiful kitchen, woods view, and a great den-like office space upstairs. Our adult kids all found their place in the large home; nice bathrooms as well. Handy, nice washer and dryer available. We did see a mouse in the basement by the sofa but not a big deal, since it was in the basement, just an FYI. Thanks for the great time!

It was a beautiful home but could hear everything within the home due to the openness. Outdoor furniture was a little rundown but it still worked for us for the most part.

My friends and I had a lovely stay here. Very clean, lots of room, amenities. The rental manager was extremely helpful and courteous. The owner the property owner, Paul made sure everything was working correctly. Beautiful location. I would recommend this property.

We hosted a very special family reunion at Paul’s home this past July. Paul was so helpful as was Willie. Very nice beautiful property to stay in with all the comforts of home and more. The home is beautifully appointed with extra seating room and a big kitchen island to entertain. Property is well kept and Very clean and spacious. Property has a huge deck for sitting outside and visiting. The beds are comfortable and bedrooms are spacious. The water access is down the road and a boat rental is available. We would love to return. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Great experience. Location was excellent, remote but all close distance to town. Very cool drink and eating establishments within 5 minutes. Very clean and just as described. Communication was excellent.

The space was perfect for our extended family stay for a wedding nearby. The loft offered an excellent area for the kids to hang out and play. The kitchen was the perfect size for cooking meals and we appreciated sitting out on the deck each morning for coffee. Great host communication.

Great place for our entire family to gather with friends. The teens hung out downstairs and the younger kids were upstairs in the loft and the kitchen dining and living room were great for the adults.

I stayed in this home with family members for a weekend in December. The home is beautiful. There’s lots of living space. It’s close to everything Waupaca has to offer. Checking in and out was seamless. I recommend this home for any group needing a place to stay in Waupaca.

We had up to 12 people at this rental for a family getaway. It worked out perfect for us- the location is great and the house is large enough for everyone to spread out and settle in. Communication with the owner and staff was extremely prompt when needed. The front porch and back deck were used often! Thank you for everything!

The house has a good layout and served our purpose as a meeting place for our traveling and local family. I believe that the "sleeps 14" claim oversells the features. Offering the 4th bedroom in an unfinished basement (no bathroom either), with unfinished stairs to the basement is misleading potential customers. The following items affected the quality of our visit: Glass face of the wash machine was broken before our visit and should have been noted-so we would not be charged. Coffee pot did not work. Appears to be clogged-ran several water pots through but still slow. Purchased new pot. Dishwasher gave problems--odd display but still worked. Ice maker did not make ice. Had to purchase ice. In attempt to fix ice maker, adjusted the freezer control to normal (from high). Melted all the frozen food in the freezer. Bath towels were OK, only limited number of hand towels and they were marginal. Wash cloths were rags. Large number of TV controls had dead batteries -- or none at all. The check-in process was difficult and frustrating. Originally we were told we would receive info about two weeks before arrival date. We received nothing. Then the website said info available three days before arrival. Still nothing, so that morning I called and the owner said he would send it out with the hour. Unfortunately, he did not tell me he was texting the information. We had never used that method of communication before. After more phone calls, we received the info. All out of spa
The house has a good layout and served our purpose as a meeting place for our traveling and local family. I believe that the "sleeps 14" claim oversells the features. Offering the 4th bedroom in an unfinished basement (no bathroom either), with unfinished stairs to the basement is misleading potential customers. The following items affected the quality of our visit: Glass face of the wash machine was broken before our visit and should have been noted-so we would not be charged. Coffee pot did not work. Appears to be clogged-ran several water pots through but still slow. Purchased new pot. Dishwasher gave problems--odd display but still worked. Ice maker did not make ice. Had to purchase ice. In attempt to fix ice maker, adjusted the freezer control to normal (from high). Melted all the frozen food in the freezer. Bath towels were OK, only limited number of hand towels and they were marginal. Wash cloths were rags. Large number of TV controls had dead batteries -- or none at all. The check-in process was difficult and frustrating. Originally we were told we would receive info about two weeks before arrival date. We received nothing. Then the website said info available three days before arrival. Still nothing, so that morning I called and the owner said he would send it out with the hour. Unfortunately, he did not tell me he was texting the information. We had never used that method of communication before. After more phone calls, we received the info. All out of spa

This is a spacious house with a location close to restaurants, stores and kayak rentals. The price for renting the host’s pontoon boat for a week was very reasonable. We enjoyed the outdoor patio… just a little loud since the main road is right there. The backyard is very steep so we didn’t use it. We only had one major complaint… The air conditioning wasn’t working. I had to call the property manager and then the owner to discuss the problem. Luckily it was fixed pretty quickly because the house got up to 80°. The pontoon boat (you have to walk down the street to get to it) ran well but we could not use it at night because the running lights didn’t work. We had 12 adults in our group… Three of which had to sleep in the unfinished basement. I would say this is a more comfortable place for eight people since there are three bedrooms (master suite on the first floor) and one queen size sofa bed in the loft.

William the host called me three days before and day of arrival to answer any questions we had about the area and discuss pontoon rental. We did spend a day out on the lake with the pontoon which was a lot of fun. Home was very spacious and we all enjoyed the living room with a lot of seating so our group could all be together. It was a nice area.

The space was perfect for our extended family stay for a wedding nearby. The loft offered an excellent area for the kids to hang out and play. The kitchen was the perfect size for cooking meals and we appreciated sitting out on the deck each morning for coffee. Great host communication.

I stayed in this home with family members for a weekend in December. The home is beautiful. There’s lots of living space. It’s close to everything Waupaca has to offer. Checking in and out was seamless. I recommend this home for any group needing a place to stay in Waupaca.

We had up to 12 people at this rental for a family getaway. It worked out perfect for us- the location is great and the house is large enough for everyone to spread out and settle in. Communication with the owner and staff was extremely prompt when needed. The front porch and back deck were used often! Thank you for everything!

We've been staying here for more than six years, never had any problems. The house is great, location is good, and communication with the owner and staff is exceptional. I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a getaway in Waupaca.

My friends and I had a lovely stay here. Very clean, lots of room, amenities. The rental manager was extremely helpful and courteous. The owner the property owner, Paul made sure everything was working correctly. Beautiful location. I would recommend this property.

The host and property manager were excellent! The location of this beautiful home is perfect and it is so well stocked with everything you may need! Great communication and they made sure our stay was all that we had expected. We had a great time here and will recommend this home to all friends and family. No major complaints. Main needs are well met (kitchen, towels, linens, etc.) Full disclosure, we did not use the upstairs which looked very nice. Owner/manager both very responsive. Room for improvement IMO: 1) mention that property is adjacent with somewhat noisy highway; 2) given garage-only access, freshen up garage; 3) listing doesn't note that basement upgrades still in progress; and 4) living room furniture is, again IMO, not great. Could also use more instructions about TV/movie operation (actually, just give access to Netflix!) and we couldn't find dishwasher manual.

Appreciated how comfortable the home was. The kitchen was well stocked with basic needs and a huge pantry for storage. The short trip down to the pier wasn't any problem and there was ample parking. The owner seemed very friendly as well. Nice neighborhood too!

Nice relaxing weekend with family, but I didn't realize that lake access wasn't attached to the house - my mistake for not asking specifically. Appreciated that we were able to bring our dog for a small additional fee.

Very cool log home served us well. Everyone enjoyed themselves!! Boating, kayaking and fishing on the chain was so much fun! The only drawback for us was that it was fairly close to the highway so there was some traffic noise, mostly during the day!!

We enjoyed our week in Waupaca exploring the area. The home was very spacious and clean. We cruised the Chain of Lakes on the pontoon boat which ran well. We enjoyed kayaking and hiking in Hartman Creek State Park, just minutes away from the house.

Great experience. Location was excellent, remote but all close distance to town. Very cool drink and eating establishments within 5 minutes. Very clean and just as described. Communication was excellent.

The lodge was perfect for our family getaway. Close amenity nearby, and great atmosphere all around. The place was very spacious and the outdoor as well! I would certainly recommend for anyone looking for a great getaway with a big family. I appreciate Paul for being a great host and William for helping out with the boat! Will definitely come back in the near future.

I was extremely disappointed in this property. Although communication and the caretaker were "on-point" the overall experience was not as it was listed. Following are some of the issues:1. Serious stench in the garage. This is the first impression since you go through garage upon entry. 2. Dirty floors. We swept and cleaned the main area and the towels used to wipe the floor turned BLACK.3. The grill was complete junk and laying out with yuck on it. Although the caretaker came over after our arrival to fix it, it was still not useable.4. The main floor and upstairs toilets were cracked and not very clean or stained with rust stains. 5. The main floor was dusty-everything including the bookshelf and kitchen table were dusty!6. The handles on the upstairs bedroom were loose and the screws were falling out.7. It was extremely difficult to get in/out of the driveway with the trees blocking much of the view. 8. On the main floor, the master bedroom shower had the electrical outlet exposed. There was a light bulb in the shower light, but no cover to protect it.9. Behind the washer and dryer was filthy. I dropped something and had to retrieve it, when I noticed the filth and junk behind it.10. The fire pit on the wooden deck seems like a fire hazard. 11. Some of the deck boards were visibly loose and rotted. 12. The house smelled musty. 13. The backyard is not user friendly, and poison ivy was everywhere!
