Has a log cabin with knotty pine interior - 2 bedrooms and two large screen tv's. Bed were firm. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Was a short distance to the indoor pool, which was rather cold. Good hot tub, though. Complimentary breakfast was adequate - things in packages, fresh fruit and good coffee.

This property was good for sleeping and relaxing after visiting long days at Yellowstone. The view was poor as these cabins face another hotel. I liked the gas fire and s’more feature that was out in front of our cabin. You have access to laundry in the main hotel too. The breakfast was poor. Better coffee and healthier options would have been nice. Our bathroom fan was loud too. It needed to be replaced. Again this place works if you aren’t spending too much time inside.

We loved our stay at Explorer Cabins. Great staff, from the front office to housekeeping. Cabins are within walking distance to shops, restaurants and museum. Cabins are clean and beds comfortable. The fire pits were a nice spot to rest and visit after a day of trekking through Yellowstone. We had a great time.

Fantastic stay in very cool cabins! You check in at the hotel about 1/2 block away and all the amenities are at the hotel. We had to walk over to use the pool, breakfast, ice machine, laundry. It was fine, they were very clear walkable paths thru the area, but it would have been nice to have at least an ice machine near the cabins. Fire pits for s’mores every night was a fun activity! Overall it was great!!! Breakfast was average nothing fancy, but it had the staples.

The cabin and porch were spacious. They lit a campfire each night for each cluster of cabins and provided s’more ingredients. Parking is very close to the cabin. Unit seemed new and had lots of windows.Our dog was with us on this trip and accomodations were good. They provided bags and trash cans for pet use. Would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed staying at this property. The only hitch is that there are only 10 parking spots for 11 units. We were able to find parking but others did not. Front desk staff was very helpful!

Nice spacious rooms, fire pit on every night with complementary s’mores kit. Parking was hard to find in the evenings but other than that it was great.

Nicely updated cabin with plenty of room for a family of 4 and on site staff was helpful. Negatives were the cost, the pool was really small and overcrowded (and not easy to find) and not much of a cabin vibe sitting right on the main road.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at our Explorer Cabin. We had a great time staying there. It was still chilly so it was fun to come back to our cabin after a day inside Yellowstone and turn on our fireplace and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. It’s quite spacious which was nice considering our length of stay. The kitchenette was well stocked. We cooked 4 breakfasts and made a lunch everyday to take inside the park cuz you never know if you’re going to be by a food service area when you get hungry. It even had a portable ice maker machine which was great to fill our cups with every morning. Right outside our cabin was a fire pit and little S’more kits sat on top of the fireplace if you wanted to roast mallows and make them. There were binoculars, walking sticks and a little flashlight lantern if you needed those items. If you wanted to play games they had a few fun games in our cabin as well as books about Yellowstone. I can’t say enough great things about our experience at the Explorer Cabins! The proximity to the park is a 5 minute drive. We didn’t use the pool inside the Grey Wolf Inn but it looked nice. I don’t believe you’ll regret staying at Explorer Cabins. Give it a try!

Garbages were full when we arrived. No coffee or toilet paper in the room. Drapery rod fell when we closed the door. Most of the television stations were out. Third time I’ve stayed here this year and by far the most disappointing.

Cute, quiet, comfortable, well-appointed cabin. Well thought out amenities. The only negative was the poor housekeeping in the bathroom. The floor looked like it wasn’t cleaned after the last guests. Hopefully that was just an oversight and not a trend.

The interior of the "cabin" was ratty and run down. The bathroom fan (which goes on when turning on the light) is loud enough to wake the dead. G_d forbid you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night then everyone will wake up. The wall to wall carpeting feels gritty and dirty on bare feet. The ceiling fan had dust bunnies wrapped around it. I was too grossed out to take photos. There's no nightstand or light on both sides of bed just one down the center of both double beds. I could go on, but for the $$$ it's slightly better than camping. The location to West Yellowstone was excellent though.

When we first checked in the first room we received had a terrible cigarette smell coming from the bathroom, the staff were able to help and give us a different room which was greatly appreciated. The property is decent, pillows were extremely flat and the bed was rough to sleep on. And the cabins are always creaking which can sometimes wake you up in the middle of the night. I did love they had the bonfires but it was unfortunately raining the entire stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the smores. They had great hot chocolate in the lobby which was great to warm up with, and included laundry services. Not bad overall for being close to Yellowstone.

Would have been nice if the furniture was more comfortable. Looked like stuff from the 80’s. Full size refrigerator with freezer would have been better for our situation. Shower could have a bench in it and a shower head with a hose on it.

We had a 2 bedroom cabin which had a shared bathroom, good sized living area with fireplace and kitchen. These cabins were very nice and was our favorite stay on our trip. Coffee and ice maker are included in the cabin. Also nice was to have binoculars and walking sticks provided in the room. Smores are also given to enjoy over the fire pits. Close to many places for dinner. We loved these cabins.

We loved our cabin. It was spacious, had a kitchen which was well equipt, and loved the electric fireplace. There were a lot of nice touches including the s’mores kit and plenty of towels. The one thing that I was surprised by was that it is not in a woodsy area like in the photos, but convenient quick walk to town.

All Explorer Cabins in the website photos were shown to have a serene, private and lovely green view from the covered front porch sitting areas. NOT ONE prepared us for the huge dusappointment of ours facinga steet and looking directly at a hotel. We are seniors and payed a premium for the Explorer Cabin so we could sit on the front porch with a glass of wine at dusk and evenings- enjoying a serene view consistent with what was depicted in all Explorer Cabins shown on the website. Glaring lights from the across the street hotel shone into our gable windows and into our bedroom. The sliding door for the bedroom did not work- wouldn't close. TRAVELERS BEWARE!! Photos are totally misleading!! I was in a terrible mood and felt the final 2 days of our vacation were ruined. This is the first time I have ever complained about a vacation rental. I do a great deal of research and this is the first time I have been duped.

Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace in the early am and in the evening. The only thing that was disappointing was that the pocket door to the large bedroom was broken and couldn't be closed.

Great location. Easy check in. We had zero issues other than the fire place in our cabin didn’t work and the guy they sent over wasn’t able to fix it either. I would have appreciated a little concern or apology as we were on our honeymoon and it would have been a nice touch to have the fire place as it was chilly but it was not a deal breaker. The cabin was clean, lots of extras to occupy like a game, cards, and a few books and articles of interest. The best part is if you’re feeling social the cabins tenents seem to gather around the many big fire pits so it’s cool to meet folks from all over. We grabbed burgers from TRs burgers and brought them back. They were really good. They gave s’mores kits in the cabin so that was a perfect end of day.

So my “cabin” at the inn was attached to a different cabin. Not what I thought I was getting. I stayed there because I thought I wouldn’t have someone right next to us. Hearing conversations and the tv in the other room. I booked the cabin to avoid that. Otherwise I would have paid for a much cheaper hotel room…

The bed was comfortable and the space in the cabin was great. A living room with fireplace and kitchenette and separate bedroom and bathroom. A nice, quiet area. Perfect for our stay.

We purchased 2 cabins to be side by side. However, management told us that is not possibly, regardless of spending over 2.5k to stay there. Decks were never shoveled off- full of snow. The last night we stayed, the gas fireplace went out and we were told no one can fix it till 7am. Temperature outside was 12 degrees. Nice breezing room for the last night. manager stated she would give a credit but never received anything. Very disappointed in how staff handled the issue and basically told me to stick it since it was reserved third party.

Property was in a great location and the unit itself was great. The night desk clerk was not personable almost to the point of rude. Area outside property has trash all around the property.

Property was well located and nicely appointed. Amenities were thoughtful and s’mores for the firepit were a nice touch. The only minor issue with the unit was a noisy bathroom fan. However, the person who checked us in at Gray Wolf Inn was extremely rude, unfriendly and slovenly. He apparently hates his job and takes it out on the guests. Fortunately, we didn’t encounter him again during our stay.

We loved our stay at Explorer Cabins. Great staff, from the front office to housekeeping. Cabins are within walking distance to shops, restaurants and museum. Cabins are clean and beds comfortable. The fire pits were a nice spot to rest and visit after a day of trekking through Yellowstone. We had a great time.

Perfect for our family's stay. Really appreciated the kind customer service, cabin kitchen and amenities, thoughtful touches like s'mores kits, etc. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great location for getting into the park. However, the person who checked me in could not have been less interested in his job. Did not seem to be at all friendly. The cabin was nice, and the parking was convenient. We walked into the cabin at 57 degrees inside (air conditioning). The thermostat was broken and took some work to get it set correctly. A large trash dumpster was right behind our cabin, which attracted a huge party of crows in the early morning hours. Other than the guy at the front desk. Despite the barely working thermostat and the crow party, we had a good stay.

When we first checked in the first room we received had a terrible cigarette smell coming from the bathroom, the staff were able to help and give us a different room which was greatly appreciated. The property is decent, pillows were extremely flat and the bed was rough to sleep on. And the cabins are always creaking which can sometimes wake you up in the middle of the night. I did love they had the bonfires but it was unfortunately raining the entire stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the smores. They had great hot chocolate in the lobby which was great to warm up with, and included laundry services. Not bad overall for being close to Yellowstone.

We loved our cabin. It was spacious, had a kitchen which was well equipt, and loved the electric fireplace. There were a lot of nice touches including the s’mores kit and plenty of towels. The one thing that I was surprised by was that it is not in a woodsy area like in the photos, but convenient quick walk to town.

All Explorer Cabins in the website photos were shown to have a serene, private and lovely green view from the covered front porch sitting areas. NOT ONE prepared us for the huge dusappointment of ours facinga steet and looking directly at a hotel. We are seniors and payed a premium for the Explorer Cabin so we could sit on the front porch with a glass of wine at dusk and evenings- enjoying a serene view consistent with what was depicted in all Explorer Cabins shown on the website. Glaring lights from the across the street hotel shone into our gable windows and into our bedroom. The sliding door for the bedroom did not work- wouldn't close. TRAVELERS BEWARE!! Photos are totally misleading!! I was in a terrible mood and felt the final 2 days of our vacation were ruined. This is the first time I have ever complained about a vacation rental. I do a great deal of research and this is the first time I have been duped.

This was a unique hotel stay that my family enjoyed very much. It was fun to have our own little cabin, with a kitchen so we could make our own breakfast. Right outside was the firepit and a hammock, which made for a fun night of smores-making. Smore kits were provided by the hotel. The cabins were located right near the Yellowstone West Entrance and the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, which was perfect for our trip.

Very comfortable cabin conveniently located across the street from the West Yellowstone visitor center. While the view from the cabin is not a scenic Yellowstone view, the amenities in the cabin are nice and the convenience for accessing the park and tours can't be beat.

We recently stayed in a cabin on the property. The amenities were nice (kitchen, family room, bedroom). It was great that the kitchen included a small fridge and ice machine. Unfortunately, we could not use the ice machine as it was not clean. We did enjoy the fireplace in the family room and the outdoor firepits and Adirondack chairs. We also took advantage of the free breakfast in the morning. It was nothing fancy but was nice to be able to grab something quickly and head into the park early when there is more animal movement. It was a little pricey for the cabin, but seemed like the nicest accomodations available in town based on my research and we would definitely stay here again.

Has a log cabin with knotty pine interior - 2 bedrooms and two large screen tv's. Bed were firm. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Was a short distance to the indoor pool, which was rather cold. Good hot tub, though. Complimentary breakfast was adequate - things in packages, fresh fruit and good coffee.

This property was good for sleeping and relaxing after visiting long days at Yellowstone. The view was poor as these cabins face another hotel. I liked the gas fire and s’more feature that was out in front of our cabin. You have access to laundry in the main hotel too. The breakfast was poor. Better coffee and healthier options would have been nice. Our bathroom fan was loud too. It needed to be replaced. Again this place works if you aren’t spending too much time inside.

Fantastic stay in very cool cabins! You check in at the hotel about 1/2 block away and all the amenities are at the hotel. We had to walk over to use the pool, breakfast, ice machine, laundry. It was fine, they were very clear walkable paths thru the area, but it would have been nice to have at least an ice machine near the cabins. Fire pits for s’mores every night was a fun activity! Overall it was great!!! Breakfast was average nothing fancy, but it had the staples.

Such an amazing place to stay. The cabin was clean and spacious for our family of four. So great to come back to your own cabin after a day in Yellowstone. Shops and dining are all walking distance. Staff at the front desk are helpful and informative. Sitting around the fire at night and listening to wolves howl across the road is an amazing experience. We will for sure be coming back soon!

Loved everything! Comfortable, convenient, and complete with extras to make you feel special like an outdoor fur pit and a s’mores kit. Plus you’re close to the entrance to the park and in a cute little town with bars and shops. We’ll definitely visit again!

We loved our stay there. The breakfast could be improved by serving a different main dish. We had egg and cheese taquitos ebbed morning We were there. We stayed 3 nights. Also the fan exhaust in the bathroom was extremely loud. The room was nice and we enjoyed the fire pit.

Cabins were amazing! Counter help and breakfast at Wolf Lodge was not. Counter people on their phone a lot. Very poor breakfast with no hot options except microwaved taquitos. For the amount paid for the cabin, breakfast ahould have been better.

Cabin was excellent. Location is convenient to enter the park, but the whole west Yellowstone are has a weird and shady vibe to it. They had to do maintenance during our stay which was a little inconvenient. The housekeeping arrived way too early (9.30 AM) on our checkout day, even when the do not disturb sign was placed outside.

Beautiful and welcoming cabin. Parking is right in front of the unit, the cabin was clean, the air conditioning works fantastic and the fireplace was warm and cozy. I didnt get the chance to use any of the amenities at the hotel nearby, but overall I would come back. It was on the main road and walking distance to everything in town.

Nicer private cabin to stay in West Yellowstone. Bed was comfortable. Stayed in August so enjoyed that it had a/c. Could've did without the black mold growing on the caulk in the shower!
