Dirty, old, wall paper peeling off walls, dirty carpets, no amenities (gym and pool closed, one ice machine for the entire place and was broken), staff was rude, wouldn’t give us extra towels or toilet paper when we ran out. Nothing in the surrounding area, did not feel like a safe place

It was challenging for staff due to computer glitches but they were patient and went overboard to make up for any inconvenience. There were some disappointments due to the economy. The hotel has great potential. It is a shame that a lot there had been stolen or was missing and not replaced such as gym equipment, phones, business center equipment and God only knows what happened to the indoor pool. It was astonishing that under the circumstances and the price they still offered free breakfast. There was a coffee pot in the room with coffee, a microwave and refrigerator. The television worked as well as all of the lights. The shower, toliet and sink were clean and all worked well. The beds were clean and comfortable and i had a good night sleep which is what i needed most. Everyone was nice. The breakfast was waffles, bagels, bananas, oranges, cereal, coffee and real milk (an added treat).

Booked room online, 7/19-21/2024. Waited in lobby for 1/2 hour until someone appeared to help us. They asked for $100.00 cash for incidentals and just had me sign my name on a blank paper. We did get the cash back when we checked out on the 21st. Our room was on 3rd floor, NO WiFi up there. Our room keys also did not work, so each time we left, we’d have to get someone to unlock the door when we got back, EVERY time. This hotel is filled with people of all ages living there full time, and they all worked some way there. Pool was closed! No ice machines, no vending machines. This place was pretty sketchy. When checking out I asked for a receipt and they told me there was NO receipt for me. I will never stay at one of these again, nor will I recommend this place. Animals were allowed, have no issues there, but the room next door had a dog that literally barked from @ 8:30pm til a little after midnight!!!!!!

Sit was conveniently located right off the garden state. Lobby was hard to access as the doors were not automatic. Lobby was small. Only had a couple of luggage carts. The ice machine was broken and you had to ask to use the bathroom by the lobby. Desk staff/ owners were nice. Other entrance down the hallway by the parking lot closed after 8 pm. Parking was far from the entrance. There was pretty much nothing for continental breakfast aside from cereal. Room did have a fridge and microwave though the microwave had a missing part so the glass plate did not rotate. Wi-Fi was not good ended up using my phone as a hotspot.

The photos on the listing for this property are clearly outdated, possibly even with prior management. It is clear that the current management does not keep up with maintenance of the building and rooms. First, there is no key card monitoring for the back door of the hotel. If it gets propped open, anyone can come in. The elevator was out of order for our stay during the holiday weekend. The door locks automatically when you close it to the room but there is no other internal way to lock the door other than the U lock (not a chain lock but similar). The room was not cleaned well. The bathtub looks like it had not been cleaned recently, there are stains in the tub also. The water pressure was barely enough to rinse soap off my body let alone rinse shampoo out of your hair. The air vents had dirt and hair coming out of them/had not been wiped down. The fixture where the toilet paper goes also has not been wiped down for a long time. The room also had clearly been rearranged and paintings taken down with the nail marks in the drywall still visible and had not been patched up. Definitely could have used a coat of paint. There was a mystery stain on one of the door jambs. There are homeless people who hang out outside the hotel. Getting extra toilet paper or towels was a hassle because the main desk people don’t have access to the housekeeping materials apparently? Some positive things are there were no bugs and was convenient location !

the women at the front desk was amazing she deserves a raise but as for the cleanliness of this establishment... something needs to be fixed there was dirt on the sheets i took them off to put my own on and once i did so i was greeted by BLOOD and MOLD on the mattress spring i asked to switch rooms and i was able to the next room wasnt as bad but there was mold in the shower. if i was to stay here again the only reason would be because the staff was super sweet and accommodating other then that no and there definitely needs to be a change of the cleanliness among this building.

The room was disgusting mold in the bathroom. It was outdated and the comforter had spaghetti sauce all over. It looks like it was never changed. The smell was absolutely horrible. We walked in stayed five minutes and we walked right back out and went to a Holiday Inn.

Property was old and outdated. Carpet fithly. The hotel hallways had a bad odor. Our bathroom door had a big hole in it as if there was a big fight in the room.. tub dirty. There was an open soap bar left on the tub and a piece of hair in the tub. Water pressure was really low. Wash cloth was paper thin with stains. I will never atay here again.

It was awful. I reserved a smoking room with dbl beds and 1 pet. I got a non smoking king room. I had to pay a $50 pet deposit which I didn’t mind except they wouldn’t give it back to me because I had a late check out which was paid for separately and the dog left no mess and caused no trouble or harm. The light in the room had black mold on it. The room was filthy, there are a bunch of people living there, and most of them are undesirable. The neighborhood isn’t so great. It was horrible. After night 3 we changed hotels because I couldn’t take it anymore.

Please avoid this roach and bedbug infested hotel. Upon check they did not want to honor any booking by expedia or hotels.com. lost that money and paid cash and the price was 40 more than what I originally booked. Got to the room and saw 3 big roaches scatter. Found more behind the fridge and dresser. Checked the bed found 6 large bes bugs, blood stains and bedbug eggs. Went to the front desk informed them and they refused to change my room or give me a refund. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time no matter how cheap the rooms are advertised.

My room was not cleaned before checking in. Renovation were done and the room was not clean floor was dirty. The furniture was super dusty and the staff didn’t seem to care about my issues when it was check out time. They called me 2 times before check out time (11:00) to remind of the check out time. Not a good experience and would not recommend this place!!!

I wasn't expecting anything extravagant for a Red Roof Inn. There were issues we reported to management about our door. We stayed on the 1st floor, and we had to yank extremely hard to close the door, and then body-slam the door to open it. Breakfast was served after the timeframe, and before Check-out so I unfortunatetly didn't get a chance to enjoy much of the amenities of it.

DO NOT stay here if you: Want to see your deposit back. (They kept mine for zero reason) Want to be able get ahold of the front desk for any needs between 12am-6am. They are impossible to find for any actual emergency needs to do violence from patrons unless it’s during daylight hours and then they are helpful (they leave a sign on the front desk with an emergency number saying they are busy helping others in another place of the hotel and, and it never picks up because they leave that phone to ring behind the front desk. You can hear it) Want bathroom floors that don’t have large areas of several full sized tiles that are chipped, cracked, caving in like a sponge floor Want to avoid seeing open chunks of walls left unrepaired Want to be able to walk through the stairs in the back to the second door to the building and not see a massive dragged line of splattering paint left as if it’s been there for 10 years. Or if you don’t want to feel like you’re walking through a back alley way in there. Want to feel like housekeeping looks behind things, up and over in order to remove prior patrons personal items Want working WI-FI DO stay here if: You need a quiet hotel. It is definitely that. Like friendly staff. They are definitely that. Need an comfortable bed. It was great. Need a decent sized bathroom so you’re not squished moving around eachother to get ready, etc. Plenty of room. Need a big bathtub. Larger than that for sure.

I will start with the customer service of individuals working here was wonderful especially the front desk. However, the room smelled of cigarettes and pinesol despite being a non smoking room, we had constant issues with the tv (was fixed though) and the shower had weird stains. Overall, not terrible for the cost!

Booked room online, 7/19-21/2024. Waited in lobby for 1/2 hour until someone appeared to help us. They asked for $100.00 cash for incidentals and just had me sign my name on a blank paper. We did get the cash back when we checked out on the 21st. Our room was on 3rd floor, NO WiFi up there. Our room keys also did not work, so each time we left, we’d have to get someone to unlock the door when we got back, EVERY time. This hotel is filled with people of all ages living there full time, and they all worked some way there. Pool was closed! No ice machines, no vending machines. This place was pretty sketchy. When checking out I asked for a receipt and they told me there was NO receipt for me. I will never stay at one of these again, nor will I recommend this place. Animals were allowed, have no issues there, but the room next door had a dog that literally barked from @ 8:30pm til a little after midnight!!!!!!

Sit was conveniently located right off the garden state. Lobby was hard to access as the doors were not automatic. Lobby was small. Only had a couple of luggage carts. The ice machine was broken and you had to ask to use the bathroom by the lobby. Desk staff/ owners were nice. Other entrance down the hallway by the parking lot closed after 8 pm. Parking was far from the entrance. There was pretty much nothing for continental breakfast aside from cereal. Room did have a fridge and microwave though the microwave had a missing part so the glass plate did not rotate. Wi-Fi was not good ended up using my phone as a hotspot.

You can hear everything through the walls. The people that work there have no idea what there doing. Last time I tried to book hotel I got confirmation and when I got to hotel I got a phone call saying they don’t have electricity and they have to cancel my room. Walk in everything is working and they just did that to make more money on room. Horrible stay would suggest Days Inn down the pike more.

When we were checking in the desk clerk was in disbelief that we had booked the “suite” for the price we had so check-in was extra lengthy due to his wanting to “double check”. Then when we got to our room there were no towels and the bed wasn’t properly made. The suite had no fridge so everything we brought had to stay out all night. The only thing I recommend this property for is if you literally just need a place to crash and don’t plan on showering in the morning.

We booked 3 reservations 1 week before our 4/20 arrival. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a hostile employee who was rushing me for the Itinerary number we booked via Expedia. When it was provided to him he stated, they had canceled our reservation all 3, because they stated Expedia was charging less for the rooms and that the rooms cost much more for the night. So we drove 5 hours to be canceled with no solution. Once I contacted Expedia they said the reservation were still open but we had email cancellation from the hotel. Not a very good experience but I would have not stayed at the hotel anyway.

The hotel told me that I didn’t have a reservation when I arrived and I showed them my email and confirmation they were very nasty about the situation after even seeing the confirmation, told them I have travel far and it was a holiday they didn’t care. Very , very bad customer service.

Staff at this property was amazing. Made sure my family and I had everything we needed and accommodated us greatly. I had absolutely no issues. I was even late checking out of our room which was a suite and AMAZING, and gave me no troubles. Thank you red roof inn/Galloway NJ and shoutout to our housekeeper, she was a wonderful person as well 🤗

I came to stay here for a night and I git the hotel online and when I got there the room wasn’t ready and the lobby worker disappeared from the front desk and we waited two hours for the room to get cleaned and ready and they didn’t do anything when we got back in the room it was still dirty and unclean and we were not the only ones waiting for there room and complaining

Save yourself from making the same mistake we made and just avoid this hotel all together. Our check in was supposed to be at 3pm, we got there after 6pm expecting to be able to check in, get cleaned up and proceed to our next destination to enjoy the beach. Well literally none of that happened. We waited over an hour and a half there without assistance while a group in front of us was threatening to call the police on the hotel (I do not know what the situation was) then another guest was wheeled out by an ambulance for falling. Once we were finally able to speak with someone (there were 3 people behind the counter only 1 was working the other 2 ignored us and other guests) he informed us that the room was still not ready and to just check back in 20 minutes or so. At this point my 2 kids, fiancé and I decided we were going to call hotels.com who we booked through and get refunded and book another hotel. The agent we spoke to called the hotel to confirm what was happening and was hung up on twice and finally after spending over an hour on the call was able to request the refund. A week goes by and I still do not have the refund so I called in and after another hour on the phone and not getting any answers I finally get a manager who proceeds to say they are not refunding us because the hotel denied the request since they would eventually have the room ready, he would not refund the full amount and only compensated less then half. We lost time and money due to this experience

Overnight stay me, and my husband had stepped out to get a bite to eat. And when returning our key did not work we went downstairs multiple times to have them fix the issue and every time we would return back to our room the key was not working. The man working in the front desk did not seem to know how to work the key machine and he had a call someone else to help him when that person came. He said that the key worked and I would be able to get to my room, of course after the fifth attempt to try to get in it did not work. I had to go back down and the manager had to come up with a machine to open up our door in order for us to get in our room, No one apologized for this inconvenience nor offered me any kind of refunds for this inconvenience. I was locked out of my room for over 45 minutes. this hotel is completely rundown needs major work and renovations. The room itself was clean and the beds are comfortable, but it seems like a hotel where people live in not just stay in would not recommend and I feel like I overpaid for the stay would love a refund .

The staff I encountered were very friendly. The room was clean. We had a good supply of towels. The room had a refrigerator and coffee pot with coffee. It also had a hair dryer, but that did not work. There were no ice machines, but the clerk gladly gave us a couple of sandwich bags with ice in them. I was looking for an economy stay in a clean place. The visit met my expectations

It was awful. I reserved a smoking room with dbl beds and 1 pet. I got a non smoking king room. I had to pay a $50 pet deposit which I didn’t mind except they wouldn’t give it back to me because I had a late check out which was paid for separately and the dog left no mess and caused no trouble or harm. The light in the room had black mold on it. The room was filthy, there are a bunch of people living there, and most of them are undesirable. The neighborhood isn’t so great. It was horrible. After night 3 we changed hotels because I couldn’t take it anymore.

The photos on the listing for this property are clearly outdated, possibly even with prior management. It is clear that the current management does not keep up with maintenance of the building and rooms. First, there is no key card monitoring for the back door of the hotel. If it gets propped open, anyone can come in. The elevator was out of order for our stay during the holiday weekend. The door locks automatically when you close it to the room but there is no other internal way to lock the door other than the U lock (not a chain lock but similar). The room was not cleaned well. The bathtub looks like it had not been cleaned recently, there are stains in the tub also. The water pressure was barely enough to rinse soap off my body let alone rinse shampoo out of your hair. The air vents had dirt and hair coming out of them/had not been wiped down. The fixture where the toilet paper goes also has not been wiped down for a long time. The room also had clearly been rearranged and paintings taken down with the nail marks in the drywall still visible and had not been patched up. Definitely could have used a coat of paint. There was a mystery stain on one of the door jambs. There are homeless people who hang out outside the hotel. Getting extra toilet paper or towels was a hassle because the main desk people don’t have access to the housekeeping materials apparently? I checked into my room and there was a turd in the toilet. I flushed the toilet and it was clogged so it overflowed. Told the woman at the front desk. She took her master key and entered 3 separate rooms and each was occupied by guests already. Then said she would check the register for an open room. (Maybe she should have done that in the first place?). Then said there's only 1 other room but it was dirty so I had to wait an hour in the "Turd Room" till 2am before I could go to sleep. I won't even bother to tell you how bad the breakfast was cause what's the point.

I wasn't expecting anything extravagant for a Red Roof Inn. There were issues we reported to management about our door. We stayed on the 1st floor, and we had to yank extremely hard to close the door, and then body-slam the door to open it. Breakfast was served after the timeframe, and before Check-out so I unfortunatetly didn't get a chance to enjoy much of the amenities of it.
I wasn't expecting anything extravagant for a Red Roof Inn. There were issues we reported to management about our door. We stayed on the 1st floor, and we had to yank extremely hard to close the door, and then body-slam the door to open it. Breakfast was served after the timeframe, and before Check-out so I unfortunatetly didn't get a chance to enjoy much of the amenities of it.

It was challenging for staff due to computer glitches but they were patient and went overboard to make up for any inconvenience. There were some disappointments due to the economy. The hotel has great potential. It is a shame that a lot there had been stolen or was missing and not replaced such as gym equipment, phones, business center equipment and God only knows what happened to the indoor pool. It was astonishing that under the circumstances and the price they still offered free breakfast. There was a coffee pot in the room with coffee, a microwave and refrigerator. The television worked as well as all of the lights. The shower, toliet and sink were clean and all worked well. The beds were clean and comfortable and i had a good night sleep which is what i needed most. Everyone was nice. The breakfast was waffles, bagels, bananas, oranges, cereal, coffee and real milk (an added treat).

Sit was conveniently located right off the garden state. Lobby was hard to access as the doors were not automatic. Lobby was small. Only had a couple of luggage carts. The ice machine was broken and you had to ask to use the bathroom by the lobby. Desk staff/ owners were nice. Other entrance down the hallway by the parking lot closed after 8 pm. Parking was far from the entrance. There was pretty much nothing for continental breakfast aside from cereal. Room did have a fridge and microwave though the microwave had a missing part so the glass plate did not rotate. Wi-Fi was not good ended up using my phone as a hotspot.

Stayed there a week.Room was ok.check was great . Disappointed every morning. Never any coffee in the morning. When the women at the desk finally got around to it there weren't any cups, next day no sugar, always something. Pets stay free was a big plus.

The staff I encountered were very friendly. The room was clean. We had a good supply of towels. The room had a refrigerator and coffee pot with coffee. It also had a hair dryer, but that did not work. There were no ice machines, but the clerk gladly gave us a couple of sandwich bags with ice in them. I was looking for an economy stay in a clean place. The visit met my expectations

We checked in and went to room 308, when we got to the room the door was open. Went in didn’t think nothing of it and then we closed the door but u was able to push the door open even if u locked the door. Door was coming of the hinges Went back to the front desk 2nd room 307 same problem. Call front desk this time. Lady came upstairs to check, she gave us room # 310 the moment she open the door the door was falling of the hinges. She took us to a 4th room 312 not the type of room I had booked and pay for but I had no choice because everything was sold out in the area. We stayed the room was dirty n roaches everywhere. We didn’t sleep all night because we wanted to make sure there was no roaches getting in the bed. I will never again stay in red roof inn.

We had reservations for 2 Queen room bed, but the property did not have rooms available and had to adjust in king room bed with kids. Although it was said as non smoking but it had weird smell which made it difficult for kids.

Booked this Hotel because I wanted some Early morning cardio. No Gym(False advertisement)!!! Recieved room 205 and it was terrible. Scariest toilet I've ever seen. No toilet paper whatsoever maybe because the dispenser was Duct taped together. Not to mention no fridge or microwave in this room(again false advertisement)! If this was a Food Rating situation, the restaurant would be closed. Immediately asked to change rooms and was accommodated. Room 108 was much more accommodating with the simple things like a Fridge, Microwave and a Clean Bathroom!!
