Easy and quick check in. Big room. Cockroaches at main entrance. Poor breakfast: soggy eggs, stale bread, weak flavorless coffee, and no water in the gym.

Small area with multiple dining options and shopping opportunities. The staff was pleasant and kind and the hotel was clean. It rained the whole visit, so we did not get to enjoy the pool.

Clean, spacious room. Nice pool. Friendly staff everywhere. Conveniently located off i 95

The parking was safe and spacious. The air condicioning was perfect.

Check-in was a breeze with very professional staffer at front desk. Room was clean and quiet. Parking aplenty. Would definitely recommend for pleasure travel. Only down side was fitness center, which left a lot to be desired.

We enjoyed a good sleep at this location. Accessible room was close to the elevator.

Hotel was decorated as to enhance our stay. It was convenient to our needs. The room was spacious, appealing and clean. Parking was convenient. negative: The complex of a number of hotels, restaurants and shopping was not designed for pedestrian comfort and safety, very few sidewalks.

We really liked the pool since it's deepest point is 4.5 feet, It also had underwater lights at night. There were plenty of restrooms, and a good breakfast selection. Our bathroom was big, I just have no idea why they chose to have the shower door open towards the toilet, where it could smash. Cons would be the hallway smelling a little bit like feet, the cup and towel left over in the fitness area, towels and ash trays by the pool. My significant other noticed that it was a smoke-free property, but there were plenty of smoking areas outdoors. Additionally, breakfast was served on paper plates and bowls with disposable utensils, not the most eco-friendly. Coffee was meh. Check out lady was an older woman, amazeballs. Check-in lady was heavyset, unimpressed by my arrival to say the least. But for the price we were pretty pleased with the whole thing

The walls are paper thin. I could hear people pacing in the room above me and the room beside me-the couple stayed up almost all night talking and I could hear every word of their conversation. I was told housekeeping would not come in for a two night stay but they did not once but twice in the same day. I found a pen in my bathroom from a local church. The first night there I found a roach at the refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Breakfast was mediocre as was the coffee.

Room & bathroom were very clean, mattress was very comfortable, staff was friendly, breakfast was great and it was conveniently located. I would stay here again!

I don’t want to say it was a bad property, but it’s a 2 on the Michelin scale. The bed linens were clean, but the bed skirt was stained. The bathroom was ok except for the dirt In the corners of the shower. The bed wasn’t uncomfortable, but it was lumpy. The soap was great. The shampoo and conditioner were great. I just wouldn’t stay there again.

The staff were warm and attentive. Check in was easy and breakfast was good as always. We've stayed here many times and continue to return. Our room this trip, however, was not up to the level of cleanliness we've come to expect from this hotel. Mold on show doors, pee on toilet around seat hinges and a weird smell that was like pee but we couldn't figure out where it came from. Beds were clean and comfortable though. We assume it was a one-off fluke but wanted the hotel to be aware since they pride themselves on their 100% cleanliness rating and we would normally agree. Thanks again for another great stay.

Common spaces and rooms were clean and tidy, bed was very comfortable, staff were all super friendly, and breakfast was even ready earlier than posted hours. Would stay here again for sure!

We checked in around 6pm. While we were in the room, we heard something fall from the ceiling, but we weren’t sure what it was. We looked around and couldn’t find anything. And then a few minutes later, we saw it. A HUGE cockroach was on the lampshade. We quickly trapped it with the ice bin and ran to the front desk. There were two woman behind the front desk. I told them I wanted to leave immediately and get a refund. One of them was sympathetic, the other one didn’t really seem to care. The nicer one called the hotel manager to let him know what happened and to tell them we wanted a refund. He also didn’t seem to care and would not even guarantee us a refund. It was very frustrating. I asked what to do and they suggested we call Expedia or customer service. I walked away disgusted and not happy at all, and right as I walked down the hall, guess what was there? ANOTHER HUGE COCKROACH! I yelled for the front desk employee to come over, and she quickly ran over and stepped on it. She apologized and said they would definitely call an exterminator. I took videos of both cockroaches and sent it to the employee to send to the manager. I still have not heard back. Not only did I have this awful experience, but I had to checkout of the room at 10pm and go somewhere else, spending double the money and only getting 5 hours of sleep. This place is disgusting. And where there is one cockroach - THERE ARE MORE. Stay away!

This is a lovely hotel, easy to find and plenty of parking. We were only there for one night, and the bed was too firm for my taste but it was perfect for my husband. Everything was clean, and check in was smooth. Continental breakfast was fairly well organized and there was a large space for dining. Options were plentiful if not terribly exciting. We would stay here again if our travel brought us to the area.

This hotel had great reviews and there was one I ignored. It turned out to be important. The walls were so thin. I could hear the people next to us loud and clear! They had a very loud child and it was annoying. They made noise late and got up early! The second issue was the continental breakfast ended at 9am. First time I've experienced that. It's usually 10 or 11. Other than that, our room was clean and comfortable!

The hotel staff were great. The rooms are definitely worn and are in need of renovations. There were several holes in the carpet ( room214 ) and the cushioned chair in the room needs to be replaced. The tub was also discolored and worn but clean. I think the cost was too much for the overall condition. The staff were very friend and welcoming. I would rate them 5 PLUS stars.

The room was fine and clean. The biggest drawback for me was how thin the walls were, because I could hear my neighbors TV and every time they coughed. The front desk person was professional, but not overly courteous. The catering staff were very helpful and friendly.

Check in was quick and staff were friendly. Room was clean but basic. Bathroom had adequate towels. Walls are thin and you can hear people above, and next to you and in the hallways.

I liked the location of the hotel. Perfect area for walking to restaurants and shopping. The downside is the hotel has a Horrible smell upon entering the hotel whichIdid bring it to the front desk clerk. The furniture is old and outdated. The curtains in our room had small holes in them.

We have stayed here a few times and I am always amazed at the value. The room is attractive and clean. I think it may be time to replace the bed in the room we were in though.

Breakfast, very good, room clean comfy, location very good. Walls a little thin, heard our neighbors (late) , but they were just talking normal levels. Except for that, very good.

The room was excellent! Their king size bed was so comfortable! Their shower was hot and enclosed, the best I’ve ever seen!

The people at the front desk always go above and beyond to assist. Their breakfast is also very good. Would highly recommended this hotel!!

Received a call while in route and asked what time we would arrive. Told approx time of 9:45 p.m.. Got there a little earlier (9:30) and no one was at the desk. I yelled for assistance, my wife called and no one answers. After a 15 minute wait someone showed up.

Toooooooo many text e-mails from hotel. The day of arrival I received texts at: 2:27pm, 4:00pm, 9:50pm, an email at 1:23pm, a phone call at 4:26pm and an early morning text at 8:10am the following day….. ridiculous that I’m driving rain on an interstate and the hotel wants to know my arrival time!!!!

Check in staff was not a bit friendly, didn't welcome you and didn't bother to say thank you. Very curt in dealing with a customer.

The overnight person behind the desk is great! We have stayed there before and he is always friendly and goes above and beyond to help the guests. Will continue to use this hotel as our half way point between Florida and home!

Excellent and friendly staff! We needed two adjoining rooms on the fly and the front desk staff had keys in our hands in less than 10 minutes. Super friendly and caring. Great breakfast - fresh fruit, and yogurt and great coffee. My husband and Son absolutely loved the waffles. Hot eggs and sausage. We stayed in a couple other “breakfast included” places on our trip from Florida to Vermont and this was the best. One hotel had an old gross pot of coffee and a box of cereal on the counter with no bowls. I kid you not. For the same price. This is a little hidden gem at the Smithfield exit. It’s surrounded by bigger and more expensive hotels, but this is the ticket. Everything you need for a clean and comfortable stay close to I-95. Highly recommend.

Arlene checked us in and provided excellent customer service. She was so helpful and friendly and surprised us with an upgrade, which after a long day of travel was such a nice surprise. The room was great though carpeting near the bathroom was slightly frayed. Hot breakfast was very good. Property was clean and seemed well maintained.

Smithfield is the spot for a stopover as we travel from the north to the south. The hotel is convenient, clean and great service. If you enjoy outlet shopping this is the place to stay.

Great choice for mid-way stop on the way to Florida. Convenient location just off I- 95. Online check-in. Clean, comfortable beds,, nice bedding, microwave and a small fridge in the room. Good WiFi. Breakfast is typical. Few restaurants in the walking distance. Pool is open until 10 pm but we were too tired to try it. Friendly front desk people. Great choice for a 2 star hotel.

There is a lot around the area, but the hotel is tucked away and quiet. A great stop after a long day of driving.

The location is easily accessible off I-95 and far enough away so you don’t hear traffic. Plenty of food options nearby and is perfect for a one night stay whilst traveling through NC. Our room was comfy, check in was easy, cookies are a great bonus. Hot breakfast was standard for this hotel type, so not too much to comment. If you’re traveling with a child and request a crib, a pack and play is what was offered to us. Our room had the normal wear and tear and was clean enough for our needs - definitely had dust and dirt in the non traditional touch points like corners. The bathtub could use a bleaching as it’s stained yellow around where the old tub mat used to be.

This was a great choice for a one night stay heading north on I95. The hotel is clean, convenient, and staff is friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was fair, but serviceable. I brought my own tea bag. My husband said coffee was awful. So, best to do some planning and prep beforehand. Would choose this location again while in transit on I95.

Very basic. Ok if you get a good price. Overpriced on Saturday. Smaller than average rooms. Bigger fridge. Tiny lobby. Small dining room. Limited (gross) breakfast, fake eggs, fake butter, fake syrup, fake cream, etc. Some staff are friendly, others not. If you MUST stay ONE night, it's ok.

Room was clean but needs to be updated. The bathtub was showing signs of wear and tear. The sconces in the bathroom were rusting. However, the bed was comfortable and the pillows very good. The ac worked well. Breakfast was poor at best. The eggs did not taste right. The food area was crammed and wasn’t organized properly so that the syrup for the waffles was across the room on the opposite side, by the cereal, yogurt was curdled…Perhaps a rearranging of the breakfast area and a better selection of food items would make breakfast a pleasant experience.

The hotel was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Service was great and staff very friendly. Breakfast had a good selection but eggs & sausages were cold! Everything in the heating tray was cold, evan the replacement food was barely warm.
