Quality Inn & Suites Maggie Valley - Cherokee Area

Room was clean, staff was helpful. Unfortunately elevator was down for the weekend, but everything else was as good as you could ask for.

Not sure if it's some issue with the AC but it didn't seem to cool well. I usually have it set at 74 at my house. It was down to 68 and I still kept waking up sweating. I have read that some larger chains have thermostats that shut off when they don't sense movement, so not sure if this is the case or not? Also, very noisy on a Saturday night. Breakfast was fine and on par with most that offer them. Room was clean and otherwise no issues.

Breakfast was wonderful. Only comment it would be better to have it early like around 6:30. Travelers like to get an esrly start in the morning.

The staff were accommodating and responsive.

The hotel was all right, with comfortable beds, good HVAC, and clean rooms, but it was a bit run down. The deadbolt lock on my door didn't work (I placed a chair under the doorknob so someone entering would wake me up, at least), the elevator was out of order for the entirety of my stay (which didn't matter to me, as I was on the ground floor, but still...), the complimentary breakfast was mediocre at best, and the breakfast room could not accommodate everyone who wanted to eat at one time.
