Super 8 by Wyndham Warrensburg

I stayed at this property about 12 yrs ago and it was fine. The kids enjoyed the pool and there was a decent selection of breakfast items. This trip the grass out front looked like a hayfield, the entrance door was dirty, the pool was closed, the bathtub drain was so slow, there was 8 inches of water by the time I was finished showering... I can understand why it only has a 2 star rating. I'm surprised Wyndham is associated with this property.

The smell as you walk in is TERRIBLE! Smelled like spoiled food. Pool was closed with no notice on the website. One good thing was I asked for a Cancellation with no fee charged to me and as far as I know, I did. Someone needs to go to evaluate and smell this property.

I knew the reviews were average and I would definitely agree. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water and the bed got the job done. But I was highly disappointed that the pool was not open and in fact had not even been cleaned for the season, unlike the pictures online showed. And the continental breakfast was poor cereal or a waffle.

The whole facility was hot! Had to turn the air conditioning on in the room, took forever to cool down. Room had a musty smell, floor was sticky and gross. The whole place was run down. The breakfast area was very hot too, the vending machine had hershey bars that were bent in half due to melting. Very little selection to eat. We had a 2 night stay and moved to a different hotel for our 2nd night.

I chose this one because of the pool pic. I was visiting grandkids and planned on swimming but the pool was not swim ready because the water was green and stuff floating in it. when i asked i was told sorry but it needed work. I believe i should get $50 back since i couldnt use advertised ammenities.

They advertised a pool and this pool was closed with a cover on it, I could not swim. The bathtub only had 1 grab bar on it, I almost fell.

The bathroom door was separated so it couldn't be closed, the wood was detached from the core of the door, when you entered the building from parking lot there was a very weird smell, marijuana perhaps? Outside doors did not require card key to enter. Dead bolt on our door was built up with several layers of plywood in order for it to work. The plug in for the dryer not right enough to hold the plug in the socket. Glass entrance doors very dirty. The bathtub looks like it had been refinished but the refinish was all peeling off. It's a sad state of disrepair. The only thing good going for the place was the staff was very happy and kind and helpful, the housekeeping staff did the best they could with what they were given to work with in the rooms

There was really nothing to like. I could not get a receipt as the clerk seemed lost. When I went to the room the extra door lock was missing the striker. The shower head leaked and the property stunk, trash and recyclables was over flowing and outside doors were never secured. I could go on but will stop!

The pictures on website is definitely not what I saw in person. Sidewalk needs repair. Pool is uninviting, water was cloudy and area around pool disgusting. The room was nasty. Holes on the bed spread and stains on the sheets, flat pillows, musty smell etc. my son would not allow me to stay or have my granddaughters come stay there. He is in the military that speaks volumes. The pictures are misleading. Please update so customers can pick wisely. We depend on Expedia to offer accurate information on these hotels. I’m very unsatisfied. I would like a full refund. I only was there for 10 mins and that was enough for me. Please do better and update photos. Pictures must be of the best room but I didn’t get that one and property is not being taken care of. Too many things wrong.

Black mold in the bathroom, punched holes in the shower and bathroom door, peeling paint, cracked electrical covers, dirty walls and floors. The towel bar where you wash your face and brush your teeth is so dirty, I could take my finger and leave a shiny spot. The wall with the toilet paper has black smudge marks; I don't even want to know what they were! My dog accidentally spilled his water on the tile, my husband cleaned it up and the wash cloth was BLACK! This was our second room because the first one wasn't even livable and the security lock broke off in my husband's hand. But we got charged for changing rooms!!! If it wasn't for a special event in town I would of NEVER stayed! However, I had no other options because of my dog. The pool was greenish brown, your breakfast is waffles and stale cereal! There was no 8 item promise, even though it was hung up with their guarantee right there! A motel 6 is so much nicer and cheaper!!! This was not worth $85/night, a complete rip off and we still had to get our breakfast at McDonald's! When you check in/out you will be greeted with 2 different ladies still in their pajamas. Yep, you read that right! They're always in the same pair of pajamas. Quality! If you have a pet, expect to pay for them upfront, not when you check out.

Microwave caught the bag of popcorn on fire, smoke detector did not go off. I went to take a shower and found mold on the bottom of the shower curtain and the discoloration from not being cleaned. I didn't even touch the refrigerator. They apparently do not vacuum the hallway or stairs. And the temps outside were 95-100 degrees but the air conditioner was off when I entered the room. So it took awhile to cool down. I will never stay at a Super 8 again.

This was the dirtiest hotel in total disrepair I have ever seen. Mold in bathroom with mold smell. Dirty floors. Peeling bathtub. Dirty wall plates. I would have expected the rate much lower cost for such a poorly maintained property.

to be brutally honest, I have walked out of better establishments. The incense smell hits you about 10 foot in front of the front door. It had the feel that its only had a minor surface clean in the last 10 years. the shower floor was pretty nasty and the toilet wiggled about an inch side to side. towels were threadbare and holy. serious attention needs to be paid to the cleanliness and details.

We checked into our room and found hair and crumbs on the sheets, they moved us to another room that was worse, sticky carpet, dirty bathtub, black mold on the walls, toothpaste on the sink and the picture above the bed(i think it was tooth paste) we check out and cancled the other 2 nights we had reserved, working on a refund now!

Very dirty. Our feet were black on the soles from walking in our room. Breakfast was a joke. Very sparse. There were blood stains on the curtains and cigarette burn holes in the comforter. Pillows were recycled from the 1900s.

The hotel stank. It smelled like super old cooked food. It was so hot in there I started sweating when I was checking in. The carpet was sticky as heck and I had to wear my shoes the whole time. The mirrors were cloudy like they had been cleaned with a dirty rag. The toilet didn't flush toilet paper down and was NOT even anchored to the floor properly. The breakfast was 2 types of cereal on single piece of fruit and a waffle maker. The milk was left out. There was not even any syrup or butter for the waffles or creamer for my coffee. Absolutely ridiculous. If I could have afforded to stay somewhere else I would have. I was 500 miles from home and they had already taken the money out of my account for the room. There was one of the pillows that had yellow spots on it. But the bed was comfortable at least...

Old and outdated, shower curtain rod was hanging by a single screw, flat pillows. Staff was friendly though.

I look for cleanliness, comfort, and good service when traveling alone. I got all three. Needs some upkeep, including outside, but was a comfortable Super 8.

Were were not in the room other than to sleep. The bed was reasonably comfortable but the pillows were small and not great. the exhaust fan in the bathroom made a noise after running for just a few minutes. Other than those few items it was as expected and served as needed for our visit.

We booked for my parents when the came into town. Checked in and the room was so heavily perfumed it was choking. The air conditioner front was broken and you could see mold thick and growing in it. My mom has cancer and could not stay there. We immediately checked back out. The front desk said they could not refund us because it was booked by Expedia. Even though I had just paid at the front desk. I called Expedia and they contacted the hotel. I was told they approved the refund and would be refunded within 24 hrs. Called the hotel next day and was told they would refund as soon as Expedia canceled the booking. None of this ever happened so I ended up disputing it on my credit card.

They gave us a room that was already being occupied. Then our room had zero towels or any type of soaps.

As a female traveling alone, nothing about the hotel made me feel safe or comfortable. I arrived late at night, it took about 30 minutes to get checked in and multiple cards that weren’t declined but couldn’t be read (but then got charged multiple times) and then when I finally got access to my room, it was incredibly hot and humid since the air had been off, the floor was dirty, there was trash in the cans, the sheets and chair were covered with stains, and it just smelled like musty smoke in an old dirty house. As soon as I had gotten my room I immediately got a phone call from the front desk saying my card didn’t actually go through and I needed to come down and find a way to pay. Taking it as the final sign I needed, I went right back down and decided to find another place to stay because the entire experience just made me so uneasy.

Avoid if at all possible. We unfortunately had no choice because all of the hotels were booked. Building is totally outdated, common areas are dirty, and the room itself not much better. Staff was less than helpful when there was an issue in our room. The outside is trashy with unusual suspects hanging around. Very unhappy with this property.

Staff at the front desk was amazing!! Very friendly and went out of her way to be sure you were taken care of.

Hotel meets all your basic needs and you can't beat the price. Hotel and front desk staff were very friendly. Would stay again.

Only stay at this property if you like roaches in your room, holes in your ceiling, mold in the shower, and want to be attacked by homeless people sneaking into your room. This is one of the WORST experiences I have ever had and caution anyone thinking about staying here. It is UNSAFE! They put me on the first floor. My windows would not lock and there was a homeless encampment behind the hotel and random homeless people walking thru the hotel. I immediately requested a different room on 2nd floor. The manager was not even concerned about the open window. Second room had roaches and mold. NEVER AGAIN!

We didn’t even stay! Drunks outside, noisy, filthy and unsafe. Angry they won’t refund!

It's affordable and convenient. Within walking distance of half the town!

There was trash around the property. Drug deals going on. The window in the room not very well secured. The room was ok the pillows were small. The place is so rundown.

I liked staying at the Super 8. It was close to Whiteman Air Force Base and places to get food. I would stay again.

Just run-down. Severa other hotes very near- choose one of them, not this one.

room smelled bad, needs a dehumidifier. Bathtub finish worn away. Bathroom ceiling very poor. Door bolt not functional. Breakfast virtually non-existant, juice machine broken, waffle batter horrible. Will not stay again.

The check in service was smooth. I had booked it on line prior. The smoke alarm was chirping in the room when we arrived. I could hear the chirp all the way down the hallway to the front desk for a room change. We were not able to use the heater in the new room because the fan made a horrible loud rattle. Did not request another room change because the upkeep of the property was very poor and would not have helped. We were only staying 1 night, arrived late and checking out early. Breakfast consisted of cookies and coffee. The juice machine was out of order, there was no meat, fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffins, etc. Definately did not unpack. Kept bag zipped to keep out potential bug infestation. This place was a little better than sleeping in the truck in the Winter. Stear clear. Not worth the money.

It was an inexpensive stay to sleep over night. If you are a clean freak, do not stay. Breakfast cereal was very stale. Waffle watered down and juice machine inoperative. Judging by the age of the sign, they never intend on fixing it. Very Comfortable bed- and a/c was amazing!

The property was taking towels and not taking any trash or making the beds. They also told me nobody was aloud to come over there to even visit. The toilet was loose and rocking. There was never any breakfast.

The only negative was that the breakfast did not include much, especially many healthy options, other than a piece of fruit. The Folger's coffee was good.

The juice machine was not working for our 3 day stay so that was disappointing.

The property was dirty. They list a hot breakfast on their website but it was only a small cold cereal breakfast with a waffle iron.

Hotel room was clean. Furniture was very worn. No coffee maker, no cups for water in sink area, towels had holes in them. Breakfast offerings extremely limited. If you didn't want a waffle, you were out of luck. Won't stay there again.

No cups in room. No do not distrub sign. Poor not enough parking. No juice availble for free breakfast. No one ever at desk monitoring who entered or exited the property building.
