This is still a good place to stay. Hotel could use a refresh. Been coming here for 20 years. Breakfast is so-so. There is no swimming pool. Beds are very comfortable. And, the service is excellent.

Good value. Property was in generally good repair. Staff was attentive and helpful. The property is a bit isolated off the freeway and grounds were a bit shabby and in need of better care.

Two of the doors had holes or were broken, the ceiling was peeling down, lamp was broken. When it was Grand Stay it was super nice, the pool has not been in use for 3 years, disappointing. The girl working front desk when we checked in was super nice & friendly. I'm not sure if I will stay there again.

The staff was very friendly, the lobby decor for fall was cute, and breakfast was OK. I slept well and the bed was comfortable and good hot water. However, the place needs updating and some better cleaning. There were mildew stains on the ceiling of the bathroom over the shower, the carpet was stained, the lampshades were peeling on the inside, and the door was slightly out of plumb (you had to push to get it to shut properly). Probably would pass staying here again.

When I arrive I ended up cleaning my whole room. From wiping off surfaces, vacuuming, and changing the sheets on the bed. Wiping down the futon that was fun of animal hair. I spent 1 night and moved to another hotel. When I called to talk to the manager Gail she never called me back. I called her twice. I would NOT recommend this hotel. The front desk staff Holly was great she did everything that she could have done but unfortunately I was not the only complaint that night but she handle things well. The managers do not care how this effects the paying customers as no manager was on site.

Check-in was great, Check-out not so much. They would not give me a receipt at check-out because I booked through you. Next time I'll book through the hotel. Also the room had a lot of dead ladybugs and a few live ones. There were dishes and silverware in the dishwasher.

The room we booked wasn’t available. There was a portable fan blowing in our hallway. Our room smelled bad. There was MOLD on our chairs. The carpet was old and torn up. We did not even put our stuff in our room. The hotel refused a refund. And we had to make the ultimate choice not to stay there. Black mold on windows. Unknown substance on door to room!

Front desk personnel were friendly but the hotel is old and it is showing it's age. Neither television received any channels and every time the AC turned on it sounded like someone dropped a tool box in the room. That meant that I did not get a very good night's sleep at all. There were also two temporary fans at either end of the hallway and a musty smell but no explanation was given. There are other hotels in the area, and I would recommend those instead.

Housekeeping needs to do much better. No toilet paper besides s half used roll. Landscaping looked unkempt. Pillow and pillowcase had a very noticeable fresh stain. Finally the front desk help was never at the front desk. You always had to dial 0 on the phone to get them to the desk. This isn't a complaint about them, but about the owners who don't seem to hire enough people to properly staff. We need to get past the, "We're just not going to clean as much now. Deal with it!" attitude that took over during COVID. If you want 5 stars I need my room clean and stocked.

Housekeeping needs to do much better. No toilet paper besides s half used roll. Landscaping looked unkempt. Pillow and pillowcase had a very noticeable fresh stain. Finally the front desk help was never at the front desk. You always had to dial 0 on the phone to get them to the desk. I found myself in Mankato and needing a place to stay for the night. at 1 online and was able to get this right away. Great price great location. I wasn't expecting something akin to a sweet with all of the extras microwave refrigerator stove couch, T v ,separate room. Very nice.

Loved our room. Great table for playing cards. Fridge was slightly noisy. Not enough to bother me, so I slept in the same room as the fridge, and our 2nd bed was in a separate bedroom, so it didn’t bother my sister. Comfortable. Not a great breakfast, but a decent price for the room. I’d stay here again.

I really liked that we had 2 separate rooms. And a kitchenette. Price was very reasonable. Only minus was the vent in the room. Everytime it turned on it sounded like a plane was starting up.

The unit had a small kitchenette which was nice. My issue with this hotel is that I was traveling with a friend and had reserved a suite with two separate bedrooms. When I went to check in, they said they had me in a studio with three beds. I told them that wasn't what I had reserved. They apologized and said that the AC unit had gone out in the room two days prior and they had hoped it would be fixed in time. Even though I had booked through Expedia, they had me confirm my phone number they had. So, they could have called to warn me. I requested two separate standard rooms, but they said they were booked. I'll be returning to the area again in November and am not sure if I'll stay here. Other than that, the stay was Ok and staff were pleasant.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The owner and manager refused to help me with a reservation issue even though they were on premise. Their reasoning was they were off duty. They did not return any of my calls either.

We checked in with Jessica. Over the top friendly, informative, seemed to truly enjoy her job. Interactions with her several times always smiling and accommodating. Room key didn't work. She made new keys and came upstairs to make sure they worked. Lady from housekeeping on our floor greeted me, asked if I needed anything. Asked her about a blow dryer. Instead of telling me to go to the front desk, she said she would get me one. Again with a big smile and positive attitude. Great experience. Place is showing it's age a bit but given the service we received we'll be staying at this hotel if they have rooms available.

Staff is amazing & friendly helpful, location great near so many things, shopping, hiking, water, entertainment. Rooms was clean comfortable and appointed well with kitchen, bedreom, livingroom with clicl clack sofa. Breakfast was delicious coffee always avaliable.

I found myself in Mankato and needing a place to stay for the night. at 1 online and was able to get this right away. Great price great location. I wasn't expecting something akin to a sweet with all of the extras microwave refrigerator stove couch, T v ,separate room. Very nice.

This hotel is slightly rundown and needs some painting and change of carpets. It was an ok location and about 8 min drive to downtown.

Good value. Property was in generally good repair. Staff was attentive and helpful. The property is a bit isolated off the freeway and grounds were a bit shabby and in need of better care.

Great location. Spacious rooms and very accommodating staff. Property is showing some wear and tear, but it is still a great value for the price. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly, the lobby decor for fall was cute, and breakfast was OK. I slept well and the bed was comfortable and good hot water. However, the place needs updating and some better cleaning. There were mildew stains on the ceiling of the bathroom over the shower, the carpet was stained, the lampshades were peeling on the inside, and the door was slightly out of plumb (you had to push to get it to shut properly). Probably would pass staying here again.

We were there for the Mud Run at the Gun Club. The hotel is very quiet and modestly decorated. The room needed freshening up. It is dated , the bed needs replaced and the pillows had a dirty smell like hair oils. The little room didn't have air and was stuffy. We removed the nice bed cover and used our own, as we knew the dog wouldn't stay in the bed we brought for her. The fridge could use a good scrubbing. Tables, but no lamps, odd. Breakfast had no proteins, all prepackaged sugar-type donuts etc. All in all, thank you for the stay.

Loved our room. Great table for playing cards. Fridge was slightly noisy. Not enough to bother me, so I slept in the same room as the fridge, and our 2nd bed was in a separate bedroom, so it didn’t bother my sister. Comfortable. Not a great breakfast, but a decent price for the room. I’d stay here again.

This is still a good place to stay. Hotel could use a refresh. Been coming here for 20 years. Breakfast is so-so. There is no swimming pool. Beds are very comfortable. And, the service is excellent.

Room was not ready for use. No toilet paper. No paper towels. No dishes or spoons. Dishwasher was broken. Ice maker was broken. No dish drain or dish soap. People were great about getting what i ask for though. Their idea of a hot breakfast was adding a waffle iron.

Staff was awesome. Very quiet. Appreciated first floor room. Staff really got into decorating the lobby for fall which was nice and obviously hotel has done a nice update on lobby and breakfast area. But hopefully next they can work on updating rooms a little bit and really need to work on outside. Grass overgrown, parking lot in bad shape, sign old. It definitely made us question our choice when we drove up!! But again staff was awesome!

The staff were great,but the property was shabby and the floors were dirty. When we pulled into the lot, we noticed that there were a lot of weeds coming up. The front desk area seems fine and there is a free breakfast, although there's no decaf. I brought a swimsuit because I thought there was a pool, but it was not in service. There is a laundry with a billards room next to it, so you can play pool while you wait on your clothes to be done. The floors in the hallway were tile, but there was dog poop on the floor in front of a room near ours for two days. It was a till there when we checked out. There was carpeting and linoleum in our suite. The floors were sticky and stained. There was something crusty ground into the carpet in the bedroom. There were mud streaks by the bathtub. There is no coffeemaker nor a hairdryer in the room, which surprised me. One of our TVs didn't work, and a staff member was nice enough to come and troubleshoot until she got it working for us. I think this is a hotel meant for a specific type of traveler.

The lady at the front desk was so kind. The hotel is in terrible condition though. All three of our group’s rooms had to be changed to a different floor due to stains, terrible smoky smell, and a broken door. Our new room after the switch smelled like someone just cooked food. Would never stay there again.

Breakfast was extremely minimal. Basic OJ, coffee, milk. Cereal, bread, and bagels that was about it. No hot foods of any type luckily there’s a Kwik trip down the street.
