I liked the convenient location. We were able to get to several beaches within 30 minutes. Nice breakfast. The hot tub wasn't working. We were looking forward to ending our day in the hot tub, but couldn't. That was a bummer for us!

The hotel was replacing all the tile flooring on the first floor entry and I the lobby so it was all tore up and occasionally the front door was locked so had to use a different entry. Vending machine were unplugged went to use the one on the 3rd floor to get just water and it was empty if I knew I would of stop somewhere to get some.

Our room was not the greatest. Drapes were hanging off the hooks, toilet seat was loose and about fell off, the bed was very worn down. You could see where two people would lay, lol. The pool was very cold and dirty with sand. Hot tub was down and mold in the vents.

Hotel is an odd mix of dated and updated. Lobby area looks new. Elevator kinda creaky. Swimming Pool area very nice. No USB outlets in the room for charging. Great location. Nice Breakfast. Well lit onsite parking.

Beautiful hotel - they were just doing some renovations (new wall paper) so it was a bit messy. Love that the pool is open until midnight for travelers! It is so wonderful to be able to swim after so many hours on the road!

There was visible mold in the bathroom ceiling. I brought it to the managers attention. I had my grandchildren with us and should not be exposed to these conditions. Managers name was Melody, she was apologetic and stated she would credit me for the cost of the room.

The only problem we had with the property is the smell in the room. The room had a strong powdery smell. We had to keep the window open to tolerate the smell. There are alot of people with allergies to fragrance and perfumes. This motel should not be using air fresheners or cleaners with strong a fragrance in there rooms.

It was a very nice hotel very clean and friendly staff. Their breakfast was delicious and especially loved the cinnamon rolls!! I would definitely stay here again.

Great location both to get to main part of new Buffalo and the highway. Staff was friendly, hotel breakfast was perk. Rooms could have been a bit cleaner: saw occasional ants in our bathroom.

The room smelled like somebody had smoked a couple of packs of cigarettes. All of our clothes, our luggage and all the things we bought during our stay smelled like smoke. This was not a 100% smoke free facility like the signs say

I wasn't expecting much based on other reviews of this property, so was pleasantly surprised at the few things this hotel got right. The room was clean, which is a definite plus considering there was no daily housekeeping. We were given a room on the first floor which I did not like. But the hotel was pretty empty when we got there, so I figured they were just putting everyone on the first floor. I was wrong. When the guests above us were in their room, we could hear every single footstep above us. Also, hallway noise was was a slight issue in the morning. The room itself was spacious and the bathroom was great except for the shower/tub. The water pressure was fantastic (which is not something that happens very often) but of course then the tub did not drain quickly. By the end of your shower, you'd be standing in 3-4 inches of water (and I didn't even wash my hair). I would stay here again as it is very close to the casino and the beach and restaurants (there is even a free shuttle that will take you to the casino) and a cheaper option vs. the resorts right near the water.

The location of the property is great being so close to downtown. However, the lobby is redone and looks shiny and new but the rooms do not. They are not dirty, but not clean. The door will shake and make a loud noise when the outside door from the stairwell is opened. The walls are so thin, we could hear the people above us singing and conversing. And there seems to be no quiet time because people were running up and down and YELLING - even at 2am. Definitely not worth $350/night, with no housekeeping when staying two nights.

Every thing was Good, The plug ins in the bathroom were so loose that we couldn’t keep our hair tools plugged in, also one outlet on the wall by my bed was coming out of the wall. noticed a few areas that could have been cleaner and it could have used a fresh smell but it worked well for us

King room had a little dining area and wet bar, microwave and small refrigerator. No safe in the room. Room was fine for a quick stay, but had a perfume smell that was masking a slightly mildewy smell. Carpet and upholstered furniture needs better cleaning. The bathroom had Dove toiletries (hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash). The included self-serve breakfast had omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereals, toast, bagels, pancake machine, muffins, bananas and apples, Chobani yogurt and juices/coffee. Acceptable stay.

I was very disappointed with the quality of room that was given to me. Upon arrival, we noticed that the toilet wasn’t working properly and had not been cleaned. A front desk staff member said that she would have to fix the toilet because there was no maintenance crew available. She then told me that she couldn’t give me a new room unless it was authorized by her manager, however no other room was available. I had to call customer service to report the issue and get a new room that suddenly became available. The staff member didn’t seem to believe me when I told her the toilet was found dirty and denied not already knowing that the room had a malfunctioning toilet. I was unable to cancel this room booking and ended up staying at the Four Winds Casino Hotel instead. I will never book a room with the Holiday Inn again. In the end, we were given a better room after having to go through the ordeal of calling customer service a couple of times.

This was our first trip to. New Buffalo. It was pretty near perfect until our car was broken into and my purse was stolen. That was a terrible thing but not normal for NB. The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating!!They allowed us to park in a special spot because of the damage to our vehicle and even helped to keep an eye on it overnight. Since we had no choice but to head home the next morning, we asked if they could grant us forgiveness for the early checkout. They did and it really helped renew my faith in the goodness of people after experiencing such a traumatic event. Thanks NB Holiday Inn for understanding!

It was only a 10 minute drive from the public beach & there were many good eating choices down by the beach. In the morning we were right next to the I 94 entrance but never heard traffic through the night

Hotel is an odd mix of dated and updated. Lobby area looks new. Elevator kinda creaky. Swimming Pool area very nice. No USB outlets in the room for charging. Great location. Nice Breakfast. Well lit onsite parking.

We were a bit skeptical at first as we usually stay at higher end hotels but we were very pleased, staff was friendly, room was very clean and nice. Only disappointment was no fridge in the room. Within 5 minutes to downtown New Buffalo so location was good. Overall it was a good experience and we would stay there again if the opportunity presents itself. Thank you!!

The room looked as if the bathroom floor had not been cleaned. The pull out bed had dirty sheets so we changed them. Food ran out at breakfast and the worker left people standing in line. When I went back to ask if she was filling it up I was told it ended at 9:30. My daughter had been waiting for 20 min thinking she was bringing more food

Hotel is fine. Nothing fancy. The best: the breakfast staff are great! They work hard to keep everything stocked and fresh. The worst: the rear door to the property is awful. It's old and busted and slams so loud. My son who can sleep through anything jumped several times in his sleep to the sound.

It was a very nice hotel very clean and friendly staff. Their breakfast was delicious and especially loved the cinnamon rolls!! I would definitely stay here again.

Staff was nice. Breakfast included. Quiet. I would have liked some healthier options for breakfast. A little mold on the shower ceiling because no bathroom ventilation and the room smelled a little. Better once we turned on the a/c fan.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights, to get clean towels you would have to go to the front desk to exchange them. The trash was never emptied in the room you had to put it out your door and go get a new bag at the front desk. Our son and daughter in law’s room had mold on the curtains and the carpeting was damp. When they went to the front dest to complain they were surprised about the mold on the curtains and the floor being damp, the cleaning staff should have noticed it. The breakfast bar had no fresh fruit ou juice for our grandchildren and the other kids that were staying at the hotel the juice machine was out of order for three days. When I went to the front desk and asked about juice and fruit they said that the del driver shorted them. I would think that they could have went to the grocery store and bought some juice and fruit. Are room was $200.00 a night for self serve room service and a poor breakfast bar.

Staff was very helpful. When I had a question about the final bill at checkout, Marla, the morning clerk, took the time to research the problem and answered my question to my satisfaction. We were able to sit under the shade trees with our lawn chairs on a cool afternoon. The hotel was full on Friday and Saturday night but hallways were quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel overall is very nice. However we had sofa sleeper for our son, the mattress was not in good shape at all and had several stains on the underside. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed either. Breakfast was palatable and fresh. The staff were kind.

When we first got there, our toilet wouldn't flush in our room and the fridge was full of ice and needed to be defrosted. We said something to the front desk (I tried to call but there was no answer so I went down, apparently the phone didn't work). I was told they would switch our room, I told them ok that's fine, we packed our stuff and went down a flight of stairs to our new room which we had no problem with. I went to turn in the keys to our first room and I was then told that we wouldn't be able to stay in the room the whole time of our stay and we would either have to move the next day or that day. I was informed that they have a "tower suite" that me, my other guest and my daughter could stay in comfortably. I said ok, let me go talk to my other guest. I walked down the hall, talked to her and came back in less than two minutes because our phone didn't work, and I was then informed that the manager called the front desk (the front desk phone all of a sudden worked) and said that we couldn't have that room because it was too expensive but we were allowed free concessions as a way to say sorry, which was not honored, we had to still pay for them. We eventually got moved to a room with one bed and a sleeper sofa which was not usable because it had holes, was lumpy and was not clean, so my other guest had to sleep on the couch as is for 2 nights. Kids were allowed to be in the pool completely unsupervised and were jumping off the chairs into the pool.

The staff was friendly enough. They didn't necessarily knock my sock off, but what stood out for me was our door knob on the main door fell completely off! Someone came down to fix it right away, but it was put on backwards. It did work, but it just felt like not that great of quality place. No one offered any sort of compensation for the inconvenience that it may have caused. Luckily, we were able to get out momentarily so we could report it. I just hope it was fixed properly for the next guest.
