Tranquil Urban Escape: 2-BDR Retreat in Ghent

The waste disposal was complex and unclear. We received several informations that did not match (we were told in seperate messages that we had appartment 1 AND 2. The wi fi network and the code were incorrect, a kind lady came to help us but her code ALSO didnt work. Coming back from an outing we were unable to enter the parking lot because an employee had parked in front of the door. There were very few dishes, glasses and utensils. The appartment was very spacious and comfortable, but the floors could use a wash and the balcony desperately needs to be powerwashed. Aside from these inconveniences, our stay was enjoyable.

Richtig geräumige Wohnung, hyggelig eingerichtet. Parkplatz hinter dem Haus. Einen Stern Abzug für die spärliche Geschirrausstattung in der Küche! Super netter Vermieter, gerne wieder!!

A perfect apartment. However, no dishwasher tablets were supplied nor a dishcloth, nor a bathmat.

Der Check-in-Prozess und die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter waren richtig gut, das hat alles perfekt geklappt. Umso enttäuschter waren wir von der Wohnung: Die Einrichtung ist ziemlich durcheinander gewürfelt, in der Küche sind verschiedene Geschirrteile völlig lieblos platziert, es gibt ein (1) Wasserglas, sonst nur Weingläser, aber davon reichlich. Messer sind stumpf, Besteck teilweise verschmutzt. Wir haben uns kein einziges Mal auf das Sofa gesetzt. Die Decken auf dem Sofa sind völlig verschmutzt und schon lange nicht mehr gewaschen worden, ebenso wie die darunter. Bei einem der beiden Balkonstühle ist die Armlehne gebrochen - unbrauchbar. Beide sind so schmutzig, dass man sich nicht darauf setzen kann. Der Aschenbecher auf dem Balkon wurde vor unserer Ankunft nicht geleert und war überfüllt mit Zigaretten. Der Wäscheständer auf dem Balkon war völlig kaputt. Das haben wir auch dem Vermieter so geschildert, es kam ein Entschuldigungsmal, danach aber leider nichts mehr.

The appartment was as described, nice, clean and all what we needed was available. The only comment i would make is that during our stay, the temperature in the appartment could have been slightly warmer. All the rest was good.
