I was blown away by how awesome it was. From the beautiful area to the fan favorite pingpong table we had a blast!! We would 100 percent stay at The Shire again! The hosts are amazing people and very friendly!! Everything was in driving distance which was great. My family had a blast feeding the fish and making s'mores by the campfire.

We had a group of four for a wine tasting getaway. Loved the property. The pond and fire pit areas are peaceful. The host left a book with restaurants/attractions nearby. We enjoyed our stay!

We absolutely loved our time at the Shire. The home is very clean and the space was perfect for our family with two daughters. They loved playing on the basketball court and in the rec room and feeding the fish. The kitchen was easy to cook in and we appreciated the on-site laundry facilities. We enjoyed the easy access to all that Saint Joe has to offer and blueberry picking at bredeweg’s right down the road. Mike and Lisa were very helpful and easy to work with. We look forward to returning to the Shire in the future.

We loved the house we were able to stay in. Our kids had a great time with all the games around the property (basketball, ping-pong, bocce ball, and others. They really liked being able to explore the small pond and feed the fish. Loved the small town feel of the area and being able to get away for a while. We wish we would've been able to stay longer! Thanks!

The place is amazing! You have lots of room outside to to relax and spend time and plenty of space inside as well. Our kids loved the game room where they layed ping pong, running races, and checkers. They enjoyed basketball outside, swinging, making smores at the fire pit akd feeding the fish. It was nice relaxing on the back patio in the morning or in the evening and enjoying the peace and quiet. There was plenty of space for our family of 7 to sleep. The kitchen is stocked with all the supplies you need to cook meals and there is a grill outisde to use as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Shire! Mike was so welcoming and personable. The property was beautiful and spacious and the house was perfect. Our family of 6 stayed there for a long weekend. The kids loved the basketball court and huge yard to play catch in, the swing overlooking the pond, and the huge and very spacious garage where they played ping pong and bag toss! We stayed Friday through Sunday. It was comfortable, very nice, well stocked, beautiful property and great location. Peaceful country location and yet close to lake Michigan and many restaurants and stores within a few miles. Beautiful fire pit area next to the pond that has string lights. Just a very relaxing, comfortable, well maintained and truly nice place!!!

We stayed 3 nights at the Shire and the stay was fantastic! Mike was very easy to contact and responded well. The Shire has a lot of room and outside facilities are fantastic for kids. Kids can play outside, feed the fish, go for walk, play Basketball. We will definitely stay again!

This was a wonderful property! Mike and Lisa are incredible hosts. We experienced rest and reflection for several days, and also enjoyed great food, cute shops and wine tasting nearby. We loved sitting by their pond and waterfall to read. The outside space was just perfect for outdoor breakfasts and lunches. We enjoyed a walking near the vineyard close by and a gorgeous hike through the dunes to see beautiful Lake Michigan (Thanks to Lisa for personally showing us where to go!). The apartment was clean and we had everything we needed. We could not recommend this place more!

We loved our stay at Mike and Lisa's place. Our son loved feeding the fish and roasting smores at the firepit. The home was clean, beds comfortable and necessities stocked. We did not take advantage of the bonus space, but you could easily sleep another 1-2 people there. Mike welcomed us upon arrival and showed us the house and where things were. The grounds and vineyards beyond were lovely to walk through. Highly recommend if in the area.

Beautiful country setting, so peaceful, yet just 10 minutes to local stores and restaurants. It was nice having our private drive to the main road, The rental was spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could need. We were about 15 minutes from Saint Joseph's restaurants and shops. Tiscornia Beach is what dreams are made of. Hope to return in the future.

We spent the night here and loved the place! I wish we could have scheduled a spring or summer weather trip. It’s very peaceful and beautiful. Beds are comfortable and the place is very clean. Mike is quick to reply with questions.

My daughter and I were so impressed with the Shire. It’s lovely, clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful. We had a great stay and look forward to staying here again in the future. The hosts take great pride in their property and communicate well to ensure their guests are comfortable.

We stayed 3 nights at The Shire. It was very cozy, clean and the location was perfect for us. The only thing we experienced was a musty smell in the main bedroom and bathroom. However, Mike did explain it was due to the air conditioner which was fixed a few days prior but the mustiness was still lingering. Mike immediately brought in a dehumidifier and that solved the problem.

We enjoyed staying here while visiting family. Property was nice and comfortable. Only concern was the home was very cold upon arrival and the back bedroom with twin beds remained cold throughout our stay(even using small space heater).

This is a great, very clean place with all the amenities you would need. It is just as pictured and includes a very large game room as an additional gathering space. Bonus! The grounds are vast and serene. The host is welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. This was my second time reserving this house and it will not be my last. Bring a fire stick if you want to watch your favorite apps. Or bring your favorite DVD’s. There is also a Redbox nearby and Tabor Hill wine tasting is super close as well. Thoroughly enjoyed the space, complimentary comfy beds, and location. Don’t hesitate to book it.

We were visiting friends in W. MI and needed someplace close to stay. Ended up at this very clean & quaint house on a nice piece of property. Even though we arrived late, the owners were very accommodating and communicated with us throughout our visit.

We enjoyed a walking near the vineyard close by and a gorgeous hike through the dunes to see beautiful Lake Michigan (Thanks to Lisa for personally showing us where to go!). The apartment was clean and we had everything we needed. We could not recommend this place more!
This was a wonderful property! Mike and Lisa are incredible hosts. We experienced rest and reflection for several days, and also enjoyed great food, cute shops and wine tasting nearby. We loved sitting by their pond and waterfall to read. The outside space was just perfect for outdoor breakfasts and lunches. We enjoyed a walking near the vineyard close by and a gorgeous hike through the dunes to see beautiful Lake Michigan (Thanks to Lisa for personally showing us where to go!). The apartment was clean and we had everything we needed. We could not recommend this place more!

We loved our stay at Mike and Lisa's place. Our son loved feeding the fish and roasting smores at the firepit. The home was clean, beds comfortable and necessities stocked. We did not take advantage of the bonus space, but you could easily sleep another 1-2 people there. Mike welcomed us upon arrival and showed us the house and where things were. The grounds and vineyards beyond were lovely to walk through. Highly recommend if in the area.

Beautiful country setting, so peaceful, yet just 10 minutes to local stores and restaurants. It was nice having our private drive to the main road, The rental was spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could need. We were about 15 minutes from Saint Joseph's restaurants and shops. Tiscornia Beach is what dreams are made of. Hope to return in the future.

This was our second time staying at The Shire and we enjoyed it very much! Everything was as we remembered- the space is very clean & comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is perfect: quiet and peaceful, yet close to the beach, wineries, breweries, and shopping. We plan to return again!

We enjoyed our stay at The Shire. The property is a beautiful and peaceful place to hang out. Coffee on the patio and walking to the vineyard was cool. We enjoyed beach views, shopping in St. Joes, silver beach pizza! A day at silver beach and playing games back at the house! Perfect getaway!!!

My husband and I were interested in a quick visit close to wineries. We really enjoyed Lemon Creek and Domaine Berrien. We found the rental to be as advertised. It was very cute and well cared for. We would certainly rent again.

Nicely tucked away place. Right size for either a couple or small family. 15-20 minutea away from dunes, St. Joe's, and wineries.Hosts were great, treating you as their personal guests. We hope to return.

We stayed Friday through Sunday. It was comfortable, very nice, well stocked, beautiful property and great location. Peaceful country location and yet close to lake Michigan and many restaurants and stores within a few miles. Beautiful fire pit area next to the pond that has string lights. Just a very relaxing, comfortable, well maintained and truly nice place!!!

The Shire is absolutely Lovely! Pictures do not do it justice, it’s even more beautiful in person!! The hosts are wonderful and so accommodating! Every detail is top notch, the beds are fabulous and so comfortable we all slept so good! Visited wineries and breweries and ate some great food too and of course had to see the beautiful Lake Michigan and went to Silver beach. We had an amazing stay here and will definitely be back!

Mike and Lisa's property was so lovely. An absolutely perfect place for a getaway if you're looking for a peaceful and quiet spot. My husband and I and our friends were pleased and very much enjoyed our stay here. Our only regret was not getting to meet Mike and Lisa personally. Highly recommend the Shire.
