Property was well maintained and had the true feeling of being in a historical inn. Amenities like the pool and hot tub were a refreshing respite on a warm summer day. Inn is conveniently locate such that many things were a short walk or drive away. Room was on 3rd floor with no elevator access making it difficult getting suitcases up and down the stairs. However, loved the seclusion that it gave us. This is our second stay here and would definitely stay here again.

Everything was wonderful. I only have one negative thing to say, that I think could be corrected. There seems to be a bee (bumble) problem at times in the pool area. This is our second year staying on the property, and it was the same last year. Other than that, it would be all 5 stars!

Everything was great except for the continental breakfast which did not have many healthy options. And the hot tub jets were not working. But the grounds and location were beautiful and the staff was friendly. The building itself is historic and charming.

I had my wedding reception here over 40 years ago and this is the first time I have visited the Dan’l Webster Inn since then. The night time staff were outstanding. They immediately greeted me. I was impressed with the customer service and attention to detail. The parking is free and on the premises. It’s close to the rooms. I did order room service and the food was delicious. It didn’t take that long to get my food. They even call you as they are delivering your food. The rooms were very clean and offered the usual, shampoo, and other toiletries. The bed was nice and comfortable. The downside is that the walls are very thin and I could hear the tv in the room next door. I could hear what the person was saying on the tv. The tv wasn’t that loud either, it's just located right behind the headboard of the bed. You do get free wi-fi but it is on an unsecured network. I was really surprised by this. All-in-all it was a fun stay and I do recommend staying there.

Sandwich/hotel was a nicely centralized area for anyone wanting to visit multiple areas of the Cape and was easy to get Ubers etc. Staff was friendly, spa was wonderful and I would book appointments there again if I was in the area. A few of the cons: “walls were thin”, intermittent difficulty with plumbing (hot water, drain had a smell at times)-just an older hotel but was very clean! I would’ve given a 4 star rating except we didn’t have access to our room for a period of time-unclear if it was the battery to the key card lock that died which happens sometimes but the working staff didn’t initially know how to handle the situation and was unable to get ahold of a manager. The situation was eventually remedied but communication around that event could’ve been handled better by staff. In conclusion, I’m unsure if I would stay here again but if you are considering a trip to the cape on a budget you could definitely consider this hotel and spa re:location/offered services.

Very relaxing, great for staying in. There is a spa in a back, bar and restaurant options inside as well as a gift shop. There is no indoor pool or gym. If you are handicapped or have trouble with stairs make sure to book a room in the first floor as there is no elevator. Hotel is from the 1600s There are gluten free options for those interested.

Everything was closed or broken. Could not use the pool or hot tub. Unable to sit outside with the fire pits. No propane. The tavern and restaurant were closed. It seemed like they were not ready for the season. Furniture was outdated. Continental breakfast was not good. It was clean and the staff were very friendly.

Air conditioning in room was terrible made very loud noise. Staff was good but not as attentive as in the past. Grounds and rooms need updating. Pool area needs updating. Food was average not as good as in the past. Carpets and rooms all need a good thorough cleaning. Lamps in room were dusty. Tubs need upgrading.

What a lovely historic inn! There is a stunning mature garden simply bursting with hydrangeas and a quiet pool area. The staff was attentive and helpful. They had a fire about a month before our stay so dining facilities were closed and there is still a faint lingering smokiness in some areas close to the fire. Even with that tragedy, the friendly helpful staff, lovely rooms and mature garden were enough to make our visit truly shine!

Classic inn with a great vintage atmosphere. Extremely clean and quiet. The tavern/restaurant was incredible and every staff member I encountered was friendly/helpful. The pool and surrounding lounge area were also perfect. Will be back next year.

property has potential and probable HAS been great. carpets in hallways worn and dirty beds very uncomfortable seen better days unfortunately there had been a fire in the kitchen so no food available either which was part of the draw

This is a quaint inn in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and garden. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The only downside was that it had a slight musty odor. We were not sure if it was coming from the air conditioner or not.

The room we had was huge. Big comfortable bed with the right number of pillows. Nice selection of K-cups for tea drinkers, wanted more coffee but had plenty in the gathering space. Nice gift shop too.

Considering the money we spent for 3 nights at this property, I would say it is average at best, mainly because of our room. The bed was quite uncomfortable and so high that you could barely get in it. And I'm 6ft tall. The sound of the a/c going on and off was also incredibly loud and we also had issues just turning on the shower each day. I realize this place is over 300 years old and recently re-opened but again for the money spent, I expected better. Despite all that we had a fantastic time in Sandwich and the surrounding area. Best part about the Inn was its pool and hot tub. And the staff is very friendly and accommodating. 5 stars on that.

A lovely old building with rich heritage. But not a place that is keeping up well with the luxury features of the times. Very few electrical sockets in the room for plugging in electronics. Bathroom facilities for adequate, but still somewhat lacking. Shower could us some grab bars, sink counter space was scant. Very modest continental breakfast. We may be getting snobby, but this place fell short of what we like in a hotel room these days,

Stayed in this property before Memorial Day weekend. This is a difficult property to review because I feel like it could be quite nice if the kitchen was working and the pool was open. The grounds are nice. Staff were friendly and helpful, cleaning staff are great and the bed was comfortable. On the negative side it seemed pricey for the circumstances. Although many rooms seemed empty I was put in a very dark room. The window looked out onto an indoor corridor and there was only one tiny window to the outside. Breakfast was sad with just a few grocery store products. Although breakfast was served from 7:30 to 11:30 on the morning I left I stopped by at 8:30 and the breakfast room was completely empty. No explanation. Just felt like they could have tried a little harder to make the trip more enjoyable.

Room was as advertised. Large comfortable suite with sitting area. Gas fireplace worked well and provided ambiance as well as taking the chill off following the days adventures. Whirlpool tub was clean and fit two of us to relax. Tub was too noisy to run so we opted to use it as a soaking tub. Bathroom was large and clean. It did have some issues with finish lines due to poor installation but no functional problems noted. Onsite restaurant and tavern were convenient and staff were very polite in both the tavern and restaurant. Our food and drinks were good with nothing standing out good or bad. Front desk staff was very friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out. Definitely would return.

Staff and food were incredible. The building is old, with paper thin walls and hardwood floors. Did not sleep at all. Adjacent room left tv on all night. Heard every bit of it. Everytime a door was opened, it resounded throughout. Love the food and Tavern. But would never stay there again.

Staff and food were incredible. The building is old, with paper thin walls and hardwood floors. Did not sleep at all. Adjacent room left tv on all night. Heard every bit of it. Everytime a door was opened, it resounded throughout. Love the food and Tavern. But would never stay there again.

Stayed in the Fezendan house, absolutely gorgeous historical room, with fireplace, 4 poster comfortable bed, modern spa bathroom. Excellent and beautifully landscaped grounds nestled in historical Sandwich. Fabulous location.

This was the most quaint property I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms were large and lovely with updated bathrooms, a fireplace and quintessential Cape Cod decor. The property itself was in a cute little area of town and had beautiful landscaping. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway or even a girls trip (I heard the spa was amazing), look no further. We will definitely be back!

I used to live right down the street. This is my first time staying here. I was in town to visit family. The waitress staff in the solarium was so slow my first day of arriving… But I got up and left the table and went into the bar and had lunch. all the staff seem to have a little bit of an attitude like I was bothering them if I asked a question. It was a young man that was the bartender tonight and he was very nice. Also, the woman in the gift shop was very sweet. other than that, not really happy with the staff.

Can’t rely on what you’re told by front desk staff. My original room was smelled badly! I was placed on another (nice) room but was not told of a higher price and found out at checking.

Would be nice if front desk would bring water to the room upon request instead of having guests go through the rain to get it. Also maid service should be offered daily. Also waiting for a table for 30 minutes when you’re a guest at the hotel and there are several empty tables is absurd.

Classic inn with a great vintage atmosphere. Extremely clean and quiet. The tavern/restaurant was incredible and every staff member I encountered was friendly/helpful. The pool and surrounding lounge area were also perfect. Will be back next year.

Sandwich/hotel was a nicely centralized area for anyone wanting to visit multiple areas of the Cape and was easy to get Ubers etc. Staff was friendly, spa was wonderful and I would book appointments there again if I was in the area. A few of the cons: “walls were thin”, intermittent difficulty with plumbing (hot water, drain had a smell at times)-just an older hotel but was very clean! I would’ve given a 4 star rating except we didn’t have access to our room for a period of time-unclear if it was the battery to the key card lock that died which happens sometimes but the working staff didn’t initially know how to handle the situation and was unable to get ahold of a manager. The situation was eventually remedied but communication around that event could’ve been handled better by staff. In conclusion, I’m unsure if I would stay here again but if you are considering a trip to the cape on a budget you could definitely consider this hotel and spa re:location/offered services.

Lovely quaint Hotel in the heart of picturesque Sandwich that I would recommend. Good location for exploring all of Cape Cod and very peaceful in the Village. The Pool is a prefect size to sunbathe next to and never that busy, but I didn’t get time to experience the Spa. There are some very good restaurants and Bars in the Village, I would certainly recommend The Seal, the Belfry Inn and the Next Door Burger Bar! And the Marshland Restaurant has an amazing all day Breakfast!

Enjoyable place to stay in Sandwich and it’s in walking distance of the glass museum and old Sandwich. Nice rooms and grounds. Luckily, as shorter people we found the steps to allow us to get into the very tall four poster bed which all part of a traditional New England inn. The Tavern and the breakfast room are part of the original iinn where Webster Highly Recommended.

We had a really lovely and spacious room with an enormous comfortable bed. The staff were so helpful. Disappointingly the restaurant was closed due to a fire in June but there are options within walking distance.

Beautiful, old fashion hotel. We loved the dining with excellent wine selections ( 22 years and up old and beautifully cellared !) The service was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The best crab cakes and mussel dishes ever! Bravo chef. We love also very atmospheric Tavern with fire place dining area. The garden atrium dining with the view at garden and pond fish was also so beautiful specially for brunch. Excellent old fashion New England experience.

Stayed in this property before Memorial Day weekend. This is a difficult property to review because I feel like it could be quite nice if the kitchen was working and the pool was open. The grounds are nice. Staff were friendly and helpful, cleaning staff are great and the bed was comfortable. On the negative side it seemed pricey for the circumstances. Although many rooms seemed empty I was put in a very dark room. The window looked out onto an indoor corridor and there was only one tiny window to the outside. Breakfast was sad with just a few grocery store products. Although breakfast was served from 7:30 to 11:30 on the morning I left I stopped by at 8:30 and the breakfast room was completely empty. No explanation. Just felt like they could have tried a little harder to make the trip more enjoyable.

Expedia or the property never reached out to let us know the restaurant and tavern were closed, due to a fire.it would have been nice to have received a discount to an area breakfast . A Continental breakfast was offered. But, we were not given a heads up to make other accommodations.

Everything was closed or broken. Could not use the pool or hot tub. Unable to sit outside with the fire pits. No propane. The tavern and restaurant were closed. It seemed like they were not ready for the season. Furniture was outdated. Continental breakfast was not good. It was clean and the staff were very friendly.

We stayed Monday and Tuesday night to avoid weekend traffic. I chose what I thought was the best room because I wanted two queen beds. There is no elevator to second floor so they moved us to one on first floor. The beds were not very comfortable. I asked about another building that did have an elevator, but was never shown that option. The restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday, but we did manage to find some excellent restaurants in the area. When I asked to extend our checkout time, in order to use the pool one more day and have lunch in restaurant, they gave me one extra hour. On other stays, in other hotels, I was told to stay as long as I wanted.
