Enjoyed everything about our stay. Perfect room exactly like pictures & comfortable bed. Ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, all excellent. All the folks working here are fantastic. We walked back from a concert at the Garden well after 11pm & they spotted us and were holding the door open for us when we got to it.

Gorgeous hotel in gorgeous location . Lovely rooftop terrace for a sunset drink. Rooms beautifully decorated, small but that is New York/ Boston! Lovely included light breakfast in the mornings but also dine in option available for heartier options

As other reviewers have stated the staff is excellent at this charming boutique hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. They are European style so not huge - which we knew. Our room had space for a desk with a chair and a small bench at the foot of the bed as well as a closet complete with 2 courtesy umbrellas during our stay. The bathroom and shower were marble and squeaky clean. 2 eco friendly glass bottles of water provided along with glass glasses.there is a little rooftop seating area as well that looks out over Charles Street which was fun and relaxing.

The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Excellent location and walkable to everywhere. We enjoyed the terrace overlooking the street during our stay. Will definitely stay again during our next trip to Boston!

Even though I was only there 15 hours, I love everything about my stay: easy check-in, beautifully-appointed and superbly-clean room, delicious and fresh breakfast in the morning and a friendly, warm, helpful staff

The room was small but comfortable. Location couldn’t be beaten, we loved it. Unfortunately, during our three night stay, housekeeping did not visit our room once. I think this may have been a mistake as I asked staff and they said ordinarily the rooms do get seen to daily. We also had only one towel so had to ask for more. The check in was quick but we were given very little information and had no idea about the complimentary continental breakfast until afterwards. This is a great place to stay but for the price I probably expected more.

This was the most quaint little boutique hotel! The decor was fabulous! The breakfast in the morning was great too! Comfy beds and pillows and towels! Great location to everything. Staff were super friendly

Overall, I enjoyed our stay at this spot. The location can’t be beat. It’s right by Boston Common (for parking) and nestled on Charles Street, close to attractions but far enough away that you can escape the hustle and bustle at night. The staff were friendlyish but often unavailable (another guest said her power went out and no one was around to help). Room could have been cleaner. There were stains on the sheet and areas in the room that looked like they hadn’t been touched in awhile. The elevator broke down while we were there, which wasn’t the end of the world, but wouldn’t have been pleasant if we had to schlep all our luggage up the stairs. We were near the upstairs terrace and it got really noisy at night. We ended up using a sound machine to drown out the noise. It’d be nice to offer small amenities, as well - my friend forgot a toothbrush and they didn’t have any on hand. It’s a cute space but shows wear - hoping they keep up maintenance bc it has the potential to be great.

Not a fan of the bleach smell daily. Bathroom window had only slats which made it easy for Other buildings to see in. GoogleTV didn’t work with my apple devices so no TV or ability to stream. Great location and buzzy but for a business traveller it wasn’t great.

This hotel is in a charming location with a very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and not cookie-cutter. However, the behind-the-scenes care of the room was utterly terrible. The shower temperature controls were broken, so it was a scalding hot shower or nothing. When we reported this to the staff, we learned that the engineer knew about the problem and was awaiting a part. We were offered a new room but it would have been smaller. Instead, they turned down the setting inside the valve and left it at lukewarm. The bed was made with a flat sheet over the mattress, not even tucked in, and then a duvet, and then a top sheet OVER the duvet. It boggles the mind. To make matters worse, though we left the room from 10-3, no one made up the room at all between nights. The TV remote had no batteries. They provided new ones, but then the TV didn’t play any channels or work with casting from our phones, which the screen said you could do. There are no mirrors except in the bathroom. There is no vent in the bathroom, so the scalding showers filled the whole room with steam. There were a million safety features on the ceiling that blinked all night like an airport runway. Some kind of elevator or door or dumbwaiter, which sounded like a garage door rattling, open and closed from the early morning on. For the nearly $500/night we paid (including taxes) this was a very disappointing experience. I can’t recommend staying there. Again, the front of house staff was lovely.

Wonderful hotel in a great part of Boston. Walking distance or easy transportation to just about anyplace a visitor would want to see. Room was a bit small, but not a problem considering we only slept in the room. We will be back!!

Air conditioner in room did not work, making it difficult to sleep. Shower was warm but not hot. Could hear people in the hall during the early morning (room description stated sound proofing). Bed and pillows comfortable.

This was a cute little hotel located in a central area making it easy to walk to see many places! It’s an extremely tiny room, so not ideal if you plan to spend any time in your room other than sleeping. We don’t stay put, so it was ideal for us!

Ideal for vacationer’s that don’t need to spend a lot of time inn the room, Room clean modern and quiet. The only exception is the Terrace door that slams shut on the 3rd Floor. The hotel should provide ear plugs or change the door. Plenty of restaurants, shops and snacks. Perfect for walkers, explorers

The Beacon Hill is a nice little boutique hotel in a great area. Busy street and very close to the parks. The room was small, but well appointed. Very nice for a solo traveler or couple. There was a fair amount of hall noise and mechanical sounds, though not sure of the source.

The location is great, the restaurant and bar are excellent. We had the King room facing the Main Street. Expedia lists it as soundproof- it’s not. A service truck parked under the largest window on Thursday at 11:40pm and ran its engine for 35min and the garbage trucks made their rounds at 1am. The windows are pretty but old and single pane so impossible to soundproof. Having stayed in boutique hotels in nyc I take the sound into consideration. Expedia should change that claim. The second night our heat didn’t work. It was 18 degrees outside and although the thermostat said 62 our phone temp said 42. The night staff brought 3 thin cotton blankets. We used a robe and towels to add more cover. The hot water in the shower lasted 2minutee. When I talked to the manager in the morning he dismissed it as something he heard that our thermostat wouldn’t heat up beyond 67 and he told the night staff to offer free brunch - which they didn’t. When he checked the main system he saw the problem, came to the room and checked the thermostat, realized how cold it was and just said sorry and left quickly. The next morning it turned off again but we checked out. There wasn’t any housekeeping and only one robe. This room was an upgrade and Iwe felt like a nights credit would have been appropriate for losing a nights sleep. The hotel is pretty and the location is great. I wish this wasn’t our experience.

What a great stay! From the fantastic location, to the truly exceptional hospitality service provided by the team at the Beacon Hill Hotel, everything was top notch. We also had a chance to dine in the restaurant, which also exceeded expectations.

Great hotel that focused more on its restaurant than its hotel. It was an accumulation of customer service experiences that were unfortunate but The most disheartening thing was when I needed help with an issue in my room, the female I went to for assistance said “I’m the restaurant manager, I don’t deal with the hotel side of things” and turned her back to me until I said something then she told the young girl (who ruined the first impression experience for me upon check in) to help me. This is the same young girl whom I addressed my issue an hour before and the day before without resolution. When I asked another young lady at “the podium” which was Check in for the restaurant and I learned was also the hotel checkin “do you have any area maps” she said “ that doesn’t match the vibe of the hotel” and directed me to walk outside the hotel down the street three blocks, and I just zoned out from there. Sigh, could’ve been so much better with customer service..the room could’ve had area maps, a hotel guide book, offer of assistance with bags up stairs if your room was on the 4th floor, and instructed us to go to the stairs past the outside deck if you were on the 4th floor. The only stairs we saw after getting the elevator went down! No signs to help guide us! These are all simple fixes and the reason I’m complaining is because it’s a great location, the room was beautiful and it could be awesome. Last thing however was our towels were very thin and small and “worn.

It was an accumulation of customer service experiences that were unfortunate but The most disheartening thing was when I needed help with an issue in my room, the female I went to for assistance said “I’m the restaurant manager, I don’t deal with the hotel side of things” and turned her back to me until I said something then she told the young girl (who ruined the first impression experience for me upon check in) to help me. This is the same young girl whom I addressed my issue an hour before and the day before without resolution. Overall, I enjoyed our stay at this spot. The location can’t be beat. It’s right by Boston Common (for parking) and nestled on Charles Street, close to attractions but far enough away that you can escape the hustle and bustle at night. The staff were friendlyish but often unavailable (another guest said her power went out and no one was around to help). Room could have been cleaner. There were stains on the sheet and areas in the room that looked like they hadn’t been touched in awhile. The elevator broke down while we were there, which wasn’t the end of the world, but wouldn’t have been pleasant if we had to schlep all our luggage up the stairs. We were near the upstairs terrace and it got really noisy at night. We ended up using a sound machine to drown out the noise. It’d be nice to offer small amenities, as well - my friend forgot a toothbrush and they didn’t have any on hand. It’s a cute space but shows wear - hoping they keep up maintenance bc it has the potential to be great.

I loved the small, boutique size of the hotel. The staff were amazing, especially Austin Griffith. He was a huge help with making all my plans and his recommendations were spot on.

The location is great, the restaurant and bar are excellent. We had the King room facing the Main Street. Expedia lists it as soundproof- it’s not. A service truck parked under the largest window on Thursday at 11:40pm and ran its engine for 35min and the garbage trucks made their rounds at 1am. The windows are pretty but old and single pane so impossible to soundproof. Having stayed in boutique hotels in nyc I take the sound into consideration. Expedia should change that claim. The second night our heat didn’t work. It was 18 degrees outside and although the thermostat said 62 our phone temp said 42. The night staff brought 3 thin cotton blankets. We used a robe and towels to add more cover. The hot water in the shower lasted 2minutee. When I talked to the manager in the morning he dismissed it as something he heard that our thermostat wouldn’t heat up beyond 67 and he told the night staff to offer free brunch - which they didn’t. When he checked the main system he saw the problem, came to the room and checked the thermostat, realized how cold it was and just said sorry and left quickly. The next morning it turned off again but we checked out. There wasn’t any housekeeping and only one robe. This room was an upgrade and Iwe felt like a nights credit would have been appropriate for losing a nights sleep. The hotel is pretty and the location is great. I wish this wasn’t our experience.

This hotel is in a charming location with a very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and not cookie-cutter. However, the behind-the-scenes care of the room was utterly terrible. The shower temperature controls were broken, so it was a scalding hot shower or nothing. When we reported this to the staff, we learned that the engineer knew about the problem and was awaiting a part. We were offered a new room but it would have been smaller. Instead, they turned down the setting inside the valve and left it at lukewarm. The bed was made with a flat sheet over the mattress, not even tucked in, and then a duvet, and then a top sheet OVER the duvet. It boggles the mind. To make matters worse, though we left the room from 10-3, no one made up the room at all between nights. The TV remote had no batteries. They provided new ones, but then the TV didn’t play any channels or work with casting from our phones, which the screen said you could do. There are no mirrors except in the bathroom. There is no vent in the bathroom, so the scalding showers filled the whole room with steam. There were a million safety features on the ceiling that blinked all night like an airport runway. Some kind of elevator or door or dumbwaiter, which sounded like a garage door rattling, open and closed from the early morning on. For the nearly $500/night we paid (including taxes) this was a very disappointing experience. I can’t recommend staying there. Again, the front of house staff was lovely.

We love this boutique hotel in Beacon Hill. It's on historic Charles street with lots of shops/restaurants, close to the Common and T stations. It's small and some of the rooms can be pretty small but we love the location and the homey feel of this small hotel. The restaurant on site is excellent too and has great veg/vegan options.

Wonderful hotel in a great part of Boston. Walking distance or easy transportation to just about anyplace a visitor would want to see. Room was a bit small, but not a problem considering we only slept in the room. We will be back!!

The Beacon Hill is a nice little boutique hotel in a great area. Busy street and very close to the parks. The room was small, but well appointed. Very nice for a solo traveler or couple. There was a fair amount of hall noise and mechanical sounds, though not sure of the source.

What a great stay! From the fantastic location, to the truly exceptional hospitality service provided by the team at the Beacon Hill Hotel, everything was top notch. We also had a chance to dine in the restaurant, which also exceeded expectations.

We love this boutique hotel in Beacon Hill. It's on historic Charles street with lots of shops/restaurants, close to the Common and T stations. Beacon Hill Hotel did not provided me with the level of service i expected from a "boutique" (expensive) hotel. Along three days i experienced i) few bath towels and no bath foam shampo, ii) uncleaned and unserviced room until 6 pm, when i protested and had en "in extremis" basic cleaning, iii) no bread neither toast in the "continental" breakfast, only served mon. fri. Front desk personnel is young and inexperienced: to call a taxi they searched google and asked a manager... Location is terrific, but it seems the hotel is more interested in bar restaurant than in servicing (expensive) rooms. I'll never return, and will report my experience to my friends

Enjoyed everything about our stay. Perfect room exactly like pictures & comfortable bed. Ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, all excellent. All the folks working here are fantastic. We walked back from a concert at the Garden well after 11pm & they spotted us and were holding the door open for us when we got to it.

Gorgeous hotel in gorgeous location . Lovely rooftop terrace for a sunset drink. Rooms beautifully decorated, small but that is New York/ Boston! Lovely included light breakfast in the mornings but also dine in option available for heartier options

I loved everything about my stay. The interior decor was a 10 and the feel of the room was like being in a lovely private home. The staff was nice and the food I ate for dinner at the bar was excellent. I cannot wait to go back!

The staff couldn't find our check in, for about 10 minutes. The room was 50 degrees when we got into it. The hot water in the shower kept turning cold!! And the lobby smelled like a dishwasher full of rotten fish. I told the staff about the shower and they said oh that happens.

Clean room but small. No where to put clothes away. Loud noises of furniture being scooted around above us. Shower spigot too tall to adjust. Hangers too high to use.
