Needs a deep cleaning and pool was off putting with and odor

The room was filthy with trash and styrofoam all over the floor. The bathroom was dirty. The elevators were broken so we had to climb up to the third door with luggage using the staff stairs. And, the staff was apathetic at best. They certainly weren’t friendly or welcoming.

I booked this property because it had an indoor pool. The only reason. Got to hotel just to find out the pool is unheated. So its unusable because its too cold. The front desk staff was wonderful but let people know that the pool is unheated.

Disappointing Stay – Not What We Expected from Holiday Inn We were genuinely pleased with the housekeeping staff—both ladies who serviced our room were kind, courteous, and did their jobs with professionalism. Unfortunately, the positives stop there. The room itself was a major disappointment. There was a hole in the floor between the two beds, which, although covered by carpet, posed a serious tripping hazard. Several times we nearly stumbled while walking in that area. Additionally, every surface in the room—the nightstand, desk, and area under the TV—was covered in an extremely sticky residue. Anything we placed on them would come away tacky, which made us question the cleanliness of the space overall. The breakfast provided was mediocre at best. The elevator was out of service for two of the three days we were there, which was very inconvenient. Even more concerning was the condition of the public men’s restroom on the first floor. It was non-functional for much of our stay—one stall was completely unusable due to being filled with waste, and the lights did not work at times. The condition was more in line with what one might expect at an abandoned gas station, not a major hotel chain. We chose this Holiday Inn because of its reputable brand, expecting a standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort. Sadly, our experience fell far below those expectations. We hope management will take these issues seriously and make the necessary improvements.

Traveling and looked for a property to overnight. Description said restaurant and bar were available. That was not true. Staff was not helpful or particularly friendly. Room was just ok.

Our stay was not so good because initially the front desk person was nice and accommodating to the best of her ability however once we made it to the room the bath wasn't clean there was hair in the shower and the shower curtain was moldy. For the entire state when I was in the room my head was stuffed up and there was like a a stale smell continuously. The pool that was indoors was closed because they say the water was too cold and at night time even though it was New Year's week it wreaked of marijuana at night time. The breakfast was legit and most of the staff didn't speak English but they were housekeeping however the English-speaking staff they were nice. This hotel can you some training and work and customer service, professionalism, and being more attentive to not only your guests but just the atmosphere of the hotel.

The property has a guest washer and dryer on the 2nd floor that takes $6 total ($3 to wash/$3 to dry) worth of quarters per load but the front desk was unable to provide quarters for those machines. I even asked for quarters for just $1 but was told they did not have it. I feel like that is unacceptable. I was forced to leave and stop at the gas station who was only able to provide a $10 roll of quarters.

Wasn’t as advertised/. Understaffed and disorganized. Poor condition of parking area.(unlit burnt out)

Tap water was yellowish brown, brown stains on bathroom door, slimy shower, stains on sheets, remote control and all surfaces were sticky

Needs updated. Room had smell so did blankets. Tub looked dirty

Room very dirty. Damp and mildew in the room . So damp clothes felt damp after hanging for the day . Vents were rusted from damp room and mildew. Asked to speak to manager 2 days with no response.

We stayed from Monday nite and checked out on Friday, we did not have our trash emptied or clean towels at all! We had to request for this to be done then they just emptied the trash that we had already taken out and picked up the dirty towels. They did not make the beds nor did they even leave a roll of toilet paper. We had to go request that as well. The halls were not vacuumed the whole time we were there. We reserved 2 rooms online for our vacation stay. The reviews were good! I dont know where these people stayed but it wasn’t the same place we did obviously. The desk staff were polite that’s the only good thing I can say. Oh and the tub in the other room was super slow draining and the faucet leaked. Yes we did report it. Definitely won’t stay here again

The hotel is not a typical holiday inn it’s more of a rundown hotel that someone slapped a holiday inn sign on. The room smelled the carpets seemed like they aren’t cleaned and the entire facility makes you feel like you could get bedbugs just cuz of how gross and dirty everything feels.

Room was neglected still had trash on the floor from previous guest. This place has gone down. Needs a complete renovation.

Service was great but the hotel is old. It is as clean as it can be for the age of it in the room. Our only big complaint was the smell, carpet may be old or wet from the AC. Overall not bad for a quick stay

Although the room was quite comfortable. The location of the hotel and surrounding area was pretty sketchy. People were gathered in the lobby and near the hotel entrance. But the room was quiet and cold, just the way I like it.

The room was nice and clean, but the common areas, hallways, and elevator had a terrible odor. Thankfully the room didn’t smell or we couldn’t have stayed. The front desk staff were courteous. I did like that they had Dove amenities in the bathroom. We didn’t have to unpack our toiletries bag.

The water needed to be hotter. It was lukewarm. I asked multiple times to have it seen about and that was as far as it went!

Shower was broken the shower head was just hanging and you had to hold it to take a shower, the toilet seat was very loose and the toilet base was wobbly. We also had a stain on the comforter the room had a very strong smell possibly cleaners but it didn’t smell good. Very dated hotel and the front desk didn’t always have someone there. Will not be staying there ever again. Possibly not even at a holiday inn again!

The shower water wasn't hot. The area was dirty going towards and around the elevator. When someone went in their room across and beside ours it sounded like our door was opening. Our room was at the end of the hall next to the noicy ice machine and laundry area. They were out of pepper for their limited breakfast which was extra

Conveniently located. Nice beds and fixtures. Bathrooms have some updating but need to be redone. I would stay here again.

The lobby is decent, the rooms are decent. Everything is run down.

Check-in took over 40 minutes. One clerk was helping me and another came over and started using her computer, which took the 40 minutes. Then the keys didn't work and had them re-done. When I finally opened the door, the room was a mess and had not been cleaned. Then I was moved to another room and again the keys didn't work.

Virginia did a great job with the breakfast everyday and kept that place spotless. The Krisha was so nice and took time to help us fax something needed for our house purchase. All the staff was very nice.

No one was at the front desk for 10 minutes

The evening staff who checked me in the customer service was lacking. Im use to hotel staff who are welcoming, give directions to find elevators, and give breaktast and checkout times. This is always given without asking but not this time. I had to ask where the elevators were. Im aware majority hotels breakfast & checkout times are the same. In the room the shower curtain was gone. When i called to tell same staff about the problem she just said that was weird. No im sorry about the inconvenience. I had to pick up the shower curtain at the front desk and put it up. The morning staff were friendlier.

It was nice. It was right off of the interstate and easy to get around town from. Everyone was nice.

We had excellent customer service. What little things we did have problems with were quickly addressed by the front desk staff.

The front desk lady by the name of Michelle was so very helpful & she made sure that everything was convenient. She went above & beyond!

One of the maid staff stole $20 cash. The hotel made it right by giving me my money back but it made me feel violated. Also made me not want the maid in my room for a week long stay. Overall my experience wasn’t great and I wouldn’t stay here again.

It was in a convention location for dining, shopping, and visiting New Orleans. The parking lot and lot next to it looked a little rough.

The first day when we checked in, gave us a room on the first floor. As soon as we open the the rooms door, we couldn’t help us notice. This smell a few humidity inside the room, the carpet was dirty, the fridge was all the way in the middle of the hallway entering the room, and the furniture that was holding the TV on top was broken with piece missing. We went back to the front desk and they gave us a more decent room on the second floor. The next day we woke up around 7:30 or 8 AM to go downstairs to eat. The dining area was very small and gloomy, very very lighting. There was no eggs left at the time of the morning and only one slice of bread left. There was nobody attending the breakfast area so we went to the front desk and they told them that there was no food left. So after that, they brought some burnt eggs out, but no bread. We went back to the front desk to tell them that the eggs that they brought out were burnt and they told us that unfortunately they had run out of food and they didn’t have anything else to cook for breakfast. It was only 9 AM! We had a few rooms rented because it was a big group and we were there all weekend for an event. Nobody was able to eat breakfast this morning at a hotel. The second day the same scenario repeated.

No breakfast two days in a row because staff didn't show up. Management did not rectify the situation. Front desk staff spent more time in the back room then being available to clients. Strongly do not recommend.

Staff was courteous and friendly. Great breakfast buffet. Very quiet surprisingly being so close to the interstate. Would stay here again

The tub was backed up with water plus the breakfast looked horrible and wasn't much also it didn't look fresh It could have been a little cleaner in the hallway and also there was no body wash in the tub to use

I came here with my boyfriend from out of town for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Our room had dusty dressers/drawers, the air conditioner was blowing hot air and the phone didn't work. I had to use my cellphone to call the front desk to let them know. Thankfully they moved us to another room not far down the hall and it was better. Only problem is a couple of lights in the room weren't working and the next following day the tv didn't have a signal but luckily we left for the day. We decided to have the breakfast upon checking out and it wasn't all that. The biscuits were kind of hard and cold. The orange juice and cranberry juice tasted like water, so unfortunately we were left with drinking water with our breakfast. Another lady mentioned it and a lady changed it out but by that time we were already done. Trash was also overflowing, overall not worth it. The staff overall was kind and professional. The bed was comfortable but improvement is definitely needed here

Room was clean but had a very bad, chemical type of smell. Breakfast was always very late, one day one hour late

The bed was comfortable. The key pad on the door hardly worked. The breakfast was EXCELLENT and the cook was super friendly!! I’d stay again just for the breakfast!!

Holiday Inn in Slidell need to improve in Break fast not good at all please improve otherwise you are giving bad reputation to rest of the Holiday Inn.
