Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza

It was great! My only dislike was not knowing about the valet parking and the $250 security deposit

Location and pool. Will be happier next time when elevators work (hopefully) and fitness center is back open (hopefully too).

It had a nice hot tub and the swimming pool was heated to a nice warm temperature. Rooms had a kitchenette which we used occasionally that was well equipped with dishes and necessities.

We had a great stay at the Avenue. The Wyndham offerings afforded us free parking which was great. We love staying at a Wyndham property.

Very nice rooms with kitchen amenities. The courtyard and pool areas are great for relaxing outdoors and the business services room has a nice couch and TV for watching sports. The proximity to the street car and the walking in the Garden District make this a really nice place to stay in New Orleans.

My stay at Club Wyndam Avenue Plaza, New Orleans was okay overall, but there were several issues that affected my experience. The staff from Club Wyndham pressured me multiple times to attend a 3-hour seminar, despite my clear refusal. They continued calling my room and cell phone multiple times, which felt intrusive and pushy. When I first entered the room, I discovered the toilet was stopped up. Maintenance took around 35-45 minutes to arrive and had to make two trips into my room, running an auger to clear the blockage. The technician was polite, but this delay prevented me from showering and attending my evening commitments, which was the reason I was in New Orleans- Business training & networking. Throughout the clogged toilet situation, I was also called three times by hotel staff, pressing me to come downstairsspeak with them & schedule for a seminar. I explained I was dealing with issues in my room and that I was not interested but they remained robotic and persistent, calling me twice more on my cell phone two days later. No room cleaning service was provided during my stay. Parking was another inconvenience—either on the street or paying daily fees, which was not clearly advertised and felt misleading. Additionally, no one offered assistance with luggage or opened doors, making the experience less welcoming. Given these inconveniences, I believe some form of compensation would be appropriate to buffer the discomfort I endured during my stay.

Wherever they are parking the cars. This white liquid dripped on my car damaged the paint and tint on car and my back window.

I loved this place. A little studio apt with everything you might need. Also pool and hot tub and courtyard out back. It was very quiet at nighttime. I was nervous because I had read reviews about trying to be sold on a timeshare. The concierge did try to convince me to go at check in but when I said “I’ll let you know”, she did not bother me about it the rest of the trip. Therefore, zero issues with that. Just say I’ll get back to you immeditately instead of signing up for a pitch session then trying to cancel later. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you could imagine. Super convenient, gorgeous location in garden district. Trolley and buses right outside but you could not hear them from the rooms. About 45 min walk to French quarter. Loved it and would stay again

This was a very good hotel for us. Great location with a trolley car stop right in front. We took the trolley to the French Quarter several times during our 3-night stay. They offer valet parking for $50/day, but I just parked for free on the street behind the hotel. Our room had 2 queen beds plus a full kitchen. It would be great for an extended stay. The bathroom was recently remodeled. I enjoyed the outdoor pool and jacuzzi - it’s in a lush courtyard which was quite pretty. Only downsides to the place was that the “concierge” tries to pitch you into buying a timeshare. But if you get past that, it’s an excellent choice for a stay in New Orleans.

I made a mistake booking as this is a resort hotel that is focused on time share. As a business traveller it was a poor choice. The hotel staff were pleasant but it was very dated and needs a refurb. Pool area was ok but the pool was very small. Gym was being refurbished which was also disappointing.

The hotel is very old and abandoned.

Great room! Very clean. Bathroom was a bit small for my 6’4” husband , but had everything we needed. The pull out sofa was new and actually comfortable. Older building but nicely redone. Great for families. Front desk was very nice and welcoming. At night doormen checked for Hotel wristbands, which I appreciated because they didn’t just let anyone in from street. Second time we stayed here would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.

It was not the worst but not good, either. 3/10 The front desk people charged me ten times what a normal hotel charges for incidentals that they held for over a week, which was unexpected, the amount was unreasonable and the length of the hold was unnecessary. Then they wanted to charge me a stupid amount for parking when we could easily just park on the street around the hotel for free. If it was Mardi Gras or some big event was going on then it would have been understandable but nope. Parking was freely available. It made me lose trust in the staff because it seemed they were just trying to scam me out of as much money as possible, I didn't even want to ask them for food recommendations. And the bathroom was microscopic. Finally, it wasn't all bad. The accommodations were generally sufficient. The room was clean and was well-stocked with amenities. It had dishes, a dishwasher, a REAL coffeemaker and even the coffee was delicious. Bed was comfy and the table was big enough two or more to sit and eat at, unlike some of the tiny tables at some hotels I've been to.

Always have a great stay at this property. A little older property but well maintained and recently updated. On site steakhouse is excellent. Streetcar line steps from the door making getting around very easy. We do not use much of the on site amenities but location is awesome. Many other excellent restaurants nearby or a streetcar ride away.

It was very nice! We really enjoyed our stay of 3 nights. It was clean, beds comfy, great shower, loved the ability to stream my apps, and the staff was awesome!

Straight ride on the street car takes you to Canal Street and Bourbon Street. Hotel is upgraded nicely. Rooms are very spacious and has a fully stocked kitchen . Front desk staff was very personable and pleasant. We would stay again.

Safe and quiet.

It was a good experience & enjoyed the location & being able to walk to good places to eat. We felt very safe & would recommend this hotel.

Great accomodations and very friendly staff. Streetcar was very convenient for getting to the French Quarter and delicious food options.

Parking is free behind the building. But valet is required otherwise. Security is tight and nice to have. Local shops all delish. They do try to sell you on a timeshare but easy avoidable by constantly saying no.

The family met to ring in the New Year. The hotel was conveniently located to public transportation and walking to major attractions. Places to eat were plentiful as well.
