Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis Castleton

The room was clean. The hotel was nicely decorated, but the choice of colors everywhere was so DARK. The elevators were dark and spooky. The lights in the hallways were dim and gloomy. When I checked out the person at the desk was on a personal call on his cell phone. He stopped talking to accept my room key. I asked him for a receipt which he printed and handed to me. He spoke not ONE WORD during that exchange. I doubt I will ever stay there again.

I booked a king room. When we arrived, the young man at the desk said all the king rooms were gone and they could give me a double king suite. I said as long as I had a king bed like I had booked. We got to our room and it was two full beds! The elevators are not marked either and the young man did not give us good instructions on getting to our room. The elevators are in the middle of the two lower room hallways with no signage. It is a bit confusing. The man that checked me in wasn't helpful in any way.

Breakfast was extra charge for the price it should be included. We have stayed here over the years but its overall standards have dropped while the price goes up. The parking is full after about 9;00 pm we had to circle round till we found one tight parking spot. TV limited channels. Noise through walls till gone midnight.

Lobby smelled amazing, room was clean, pool was well maintained. Coffee at the restaurant was really good and all staff that we had contact with were so incredibly nice. The courtyard looked like a nice place too, it was raining so we didn’t get to utilize it.
