This was not a great stay for me. The smell in the lobby was not pleasant. It smelled like tobacco. We received a non smoking room, which still had the smell of tobacco traveling throughout the ventilation to our bathroom which then went to our room. The elevator did not work so we had to walk up and down 3 stories every time. It mentioned free breakfast but this was not your normal free breakfast. They called it grab and go. Coffee, a granola bar, oatmeal...

This was our first stay at an Extended Stay. The gentleman at the service desk on check in and check out was very friendly and kind. He gave us information on wifi, breakfast, room location, etc. The room was clean and efficient. We were only here overnight so we didn't use the kitchenette. The mattress is firm so my husband slept great, and me, not so much. I did notice several different people in the parking lot at different areas. I presume that it was due to their not being smoking allowed in the rooms. That practice likely played a part in the hotel smelling nice upon entry. The only negative comment that I have was the the soda machine was out of order. That may not be the hotel's machine, I'm not sure.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had! Upon check-in, the desk clerk informed us that the hotel elevator is not working correctly. The elevator call button in the lobby was inoperable. You had to use the stairs to climb up to the next level, then enter the elevator and push the lobby button to send it down to the lobby! The toilet in our room was clogged. Called the front desk, they sent somebody else up to the room to HAND ME A PLUNGER TO CLEAR THE CLOG MYSELF!! No other rooms were available as they said they were completely booked! The 30 year old refrigerator was so noisy, I had to unplug it to get to sleep. Breakfast included was a joke! They put a plate of muffins, along with packages of instant oatmeal on a 2 x 4 foot table which was standing next to the inoperable elevator. This was what they called breakfast, and it was only available from 6:30AM to 9:00AM for a completely booked hotel!

I was in class when I got an email saying that my reservation had been canceled. No reason. Most all the other hotels were full. The front desk person was just uncaring. They found a room with a double bed (my reservation was for 2 doubles), it was up on the 3rd floor and the elevator has been broken for a very long time apparently. My boyfriend and I have physical limitations, but it was the only room left. When we got up there, it was obvious that they hadn't changed the sheets. Needless to say, we slept with clothes on. The free "break" was non-ex. I will never use hotels.com again and I will not be staying at this hotel chain again.

My daughter and I were in the area for a concert, and we needed a hotel that had a kitchenette. The price for the weekend was within our budget. However, I would have gladly paid more for a clean place to stay. The carpets were filthy. Our feet were black after walking across it a few times. There was gum stuck on the lighting fixture next to the bed. There was a 1" gap in the window that I had to fill with paper towels to keep some of the heat/humidity out of the room. There was sticky/stained spots on the cabinets, walls, and appliances. The bathroom had black hairs on the walls, counters, and in the bathtub. The tv didn't work very well and only got local channels. There were dirty lines and clothes in the drawer of the bureau. I think the only clean (albeit stained) thing in the room were the linens.

This hotel is in need of attention. It is dingy and dirty. Smelled of smoke. Several students reported bugs. It was a painful stay for our school. The help was really nice and helpful.

The hallway has a bad smell and I selected to have 1 king bed and I was given 2 doubles full size beds. Not only that, there was a big bug in my bed and I had to wait until the morning to change rooms because there is no staff overnight. The next room I was switched to when night came another bug was crawling inside the bed. Both rooms have a bad smell to it. I will never go back

It smells in the hallways, the rooms are decent during the day then as night comes in the roaches come out. Not sure if the they have a vacuum but the 2 rooms (had to be switched due to roaches) hadnt been vacuumed or wiped down..I bring my own wipes and used almost the entire 70 Clorox wipes between the 2 rooms. There are 2 ladies that deserve and better work environment but have always been kind to me. As for the manager who dashes before I arrive, obviously doesnt accommodate the residents but cancels already paid for reservations (because she couldnt get a hold of me) she can talk on her phone at work where as a great deal of us cannot be reached. Horrible stay, they do not accommodate or reimburse and terminate the roaches on 3 floors of the building

The first room I was given stank of bleach, strong enough that it bothered my eyes and throat. I opened the windows to try and air it out but that did not help. The second room had COCKROACHES on the floor and in the sink and food ground into the carpet by the1st bed and closet area.

It was a two day stay for family. It was within 2 miles of my destination so vet convenient as well as close to shopping. A little noisy being next a Lowe’s with truck coming in and out at night but otherwise ok. Chose it for the kitchenette and price. Need better linen.

Upon arrival at 4:30, the gentleman check us in and then disappeared, we waited for like 15mins until another gentleman went to go look. Came back and finished the check in. Rooms ok, furniture was outdated, bathroom wasn't cleaned enough, hair behind faucet and toilet, old bar of soap in top corner of shower on little ledge. Breakfast, if you wanna call it that, nothing was available Sunday morning around 8:30, Monday had just coffee and couple breakfast bars. Nothing really to drink for kids.

The bathtub was running water constantly and the refrigerator was making noises all night. Between these things and the air conditioner that sounded like 2 cats fighting every time it started and the horrible, squishy, lumpy mattress, it was next to impossible to get any sleep. When anyone walks in the room above you, you can hear every move. And the whole building often smells like weed. Not impressed with this location in the least.

David was very welcoming and made the check in process smooth! Even followed up with a phone call, to the room, 15 mins after I checked to see how everything was in the room! Room was fine, pretty basic. Didn’t love being at the end of the hallway, across from the exit. Heard everyone coming and going out the door and would feel a slight shake when it would slam shut. Other things, I did notice the “conditioning shampoo” was definitely a leftover of some sort. Only filled about 1/4 of the way, barely enough for one use and there was a travel flosser on the ground, by the bed. Grab and go breakfast I was pretty poor. Would’ve taken fresh fruit over the really sweet muffins and bars.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had! Upon check-in, the desk clerk informed us that the hotel elevator is not working correctly. The elevator call button in the lobby was inoperable. You had to use the stairs to climb up to the next level, then enter the elevator and push the lobby button to send it down to the lobby! The toilet in our room was clogged. Called the front desk, they sent somebody else up to the room to HAND ME A PLUNGER TO CLEAR THE CLOG MYSELF!! No other rooms were available as they said they were completely booked! The 30 year old refrigerator was so noisy, I had to unplug it to get to sleep. Breakfast included was a joke! They put a plate of muffins, along with packages of instant oatmeal on a 2 x 4 foot table which was standing next to the inoperable elevator. This was what they called breakfast, and it was only available from 6:30AM to 9:00AM for a completely booked hotel!

Everything at the property was good. Nice area, has a mall nearby and many restaurants. If I had a downside, it would be that there was a long line for check in with only one person working it. The room keys were all laid out and ready, still and all was fine. The breakfast is a armoire with hot water and coffee, bagged muffins and instant oatmeal. I would say if you are coming for a big game like Michigan vs Iowa, prepay the room when reserving it. They run an audit between 12:30 and 1 am. If you aren’t paid up and checked in, your reservation is cancelled. If you chose to pay at property, you must check in before game.

David was very welcoming and made the check in process smooth! Even followed up with a phone call, to the room, 15 mins after I checked to see how everything was in the room! Room was fine, pretty basic. Didn’t love being at the end of the hallway, across from the exit. Heard everyone coming and going out the door and would feel a slight shake when it would slam shut. Other things, I did notice the “conditioning shampoo” was definitely a leftover of some sort. Only filled about 1/4 of the way, barely enough for one use and there was a travel flosser on the ground, by the bed. Grab and go breakfast I was pretty poor. Would’ve taken fresh fruit over the really sweet muffins and bars.

When we arrived we were told the manager canceled our reservation and they were completely booked. I made the reservation two months before the stay. When a hotel overbooks they should offer some form of compensation such as finding an alternate hotel and paying for the first night. Nothing was offered. We had to scramble and found the last room at a nearby hotel for $10 more a night! I feel like this hotel owes us something for the terrible experience.

We booked an accessible room, but when we checked in the clerk had trouble moving us to one in the system. After a call to tech support he was told they couldn’t change it. They assigned us a non accessible room. I am using a walker and my significant other a wheelchair so this was a challenge. We put our things in that room and then moved us to an accessible room later that evening. What is the point of booking an accessible room if this isn’t honored by the hotel? Also we needed extra pillows to elevate a broken leg and were told that they were locked in the manager’s office. All in all, a frustrating experience for disabled guests to have to deal with.

I have stayed at this hotel before and it has really went down. The front desk lady was the worst, she was rude and unwelcoming. She didn't speak when my family and i entered the lobby and she was rude to other guest who came to the front desk for assistance.

It was a two day stay for family. It was within 2 miles of my destination so vet convenient as well as close to shopping. A little noisy being next a Lowe’s with truck coming in and out at night but otherwise ok. Chose it for the kitchenette and price. Need better linen.

The guy at the front desk was nice but that’s about the only positive. The hotel is clearly pretty old and hasn’t been maintained or updated in a long time. It’s pretty clear there are people living here semi-permanently and there was loud music and shouting coming from multiple rooms well after 1am. Steer clear of not only this place but anything in the general Castleton area as it’s all gone WAY down hill the last few years and has become a rundown place.

This was not a great stay for me. The smell in the lobby was not pleasant. It smelled like tobacco. We received a non smoking room, which still had the smell of tobacco traveling throughout the ventilation to our bathroom which then went to our room. The elevator did not work so we had to walk up and down 3 stories every time. It mentioned free breakfast but this was not your normal free breakfast. They called it grab and go. Coffee, a granola bar, oatmeal...

Upon arrival at 4:30, the gentleman check us in and then disappeared, we waited for like 15mins until another gentleman went to go look. Came back and finished the check in. Rooms ok, furniture was outdated, bathroom wasn't cleaned enough, hair behind faucet and toilet, old bar of soap in top corner of shower on little ledge. Breakfast, if you wanna call it that, nothing was available Sunday morning around 8:30, Monday had just coffee and couple breakfast bars. Nothing really to drink for kids.

Cost effective and decent. Customer service was decent, but understaffed as one. person was at the guest relations, laundry, vacuuming and more. They had rooms but looks like restricted to help customer needs to upgrade. We did not chose it for breakfast reason as they don't have much options and they are upfront on it, which is good.

Outlet in bathroom didn’t work, sink leaked, and the shower didn’t completely work, but the room was clean (tub had some stains). The “breakfast” was oatmeal and coffee, I didn’t get to see anything else because by 7 am all the “muffins” AND the coffee was gone! They never refilled or offered more. Bring your own! The staff was great- wonderful personalities & smiles!

The room was clean, adequate sized. There was NO dishes, spoons or even a single glass (real or paper) in the room. You have to pre-order any cup or glass or plate or spoon to be delivered at your room. Just not a good feeling (do they think I will steal them??). The "breakfast" was worthless. an envelope of oatmeal then either a granola bar or a muffin. Take "free breakfast" off the add - I get better in a train station.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable . I did find that it did not have very many outlets for being able to hook up a CPAP machine near the beds. I had to pull one of the beds away from the wall to find an outlet which was the same outlet being used by the lamps between the beds. The TV was not functional however, my purpose of the room was solely just to have a a spot to sleep after a concert and it fit that need just fine.
