MainStay Suites Indianapolis Northwest - College Park

For starters there was no mention anywhere that this place did not have elevators. I have terrible sciatica and my dad is handicap. Did the front desk care about that? Nope. When you first walk in the room oh my goodness the smell was horrible. There was stuff in the fridge, dirt on the bath tube. The pull out mattress was the worst and had no sheets. Though they knew they knew we were using it. The beds were terrible. As much as they charge for goodness sakes get new beds that aren’t just like laying on springs. The flat sheet you have to constantly adjust to stay on the rather dirty mattress. Also you have to bring everything kitchen if you want to cook. I have stayed at plenty of these hotels as a traveling nurse and they provided some items. But this place had absolutely nothing. And you call that breakfast? Glad I brought my overnight oats. Also it runs until 9am they ran out of coffee by 730 and “couldn’t refill it.” Actually they were out of much of everything by 730 am. Only good thing is that this the staff were friendly and they said hi to you everytime you walked in the door. At night the parking lot always has been just hanging around. It’s kind of loud actually.

Arrived to the hotel, they had no power in part of the hotel and had flooding in the lower level, so they cancelled all the reservations. Probably for the best, as the lobby stank of smoke and mold, and had multiple unpatched holes in the drywall

Not a place anyone more than mildly disabled - stairs required Except for entrance next to Dumpster - there you have choice of uneven, downward slanting concrete ending with a door in front of a sewer grating where water (or snow and ice- both occurred during stay) build up: or two large stepping stones with no railing leading to the same grating... Also a Large pothole in the entrance ramp. Shower head wasn't tight - sprayed water over the curtain soaking bathroom floor.

We never even got booked in!!! There was not elivator we had "the last room" on the 3rd floor. Difficult steps. Receptionists words. We went to comfort in got great room great service and a lovely breakfast. For the same price. Sorry Hotels.com

There was no elevator and all the rooms were upstairs. And then there was not any cart to help with baggage which made it extremely hard to get stuff to and from the room

The property is ok, it’s got a lot of water damage spots and beat up. It’s not been very well maintained.

This topped with the uneasy feeling we had walking in seeing a near by parked cars window broken and realizing that their "included breakfast" area was oatmeal packets and hot water I feel like we dodged a bullet by cancelling!

I felt very unsafe. The place was not clean at all. A lot of strange people hangout there. Found out a homicide happened the day before. I immediately checked out. However, although this wasn't prepaid and was to be paid upon check in, this facility charged my card on check in AND double charged the card I have on file with the hotels.com app. That should have never been allowed to happen. I will no longer keep a card on file.

It was awful!! Dirty bathroom vent fan, stained pull out mattress, no trash can, dirty kitchen cabinets, sticky carpet, no extra blankets. Even though I reserved it for three people we only had two bath towels, one wash cloth and no hand towel. I asked for more and was told inventory was low/none were clean. It smelled throughout the entire building and gave an unsafe feeling. Will never stay again!!

My room was dirty and not clean. Molded food in mircowave. No blanket. Toilet had dookie in it. The hotel managar told me to make this complaint here and to contact her for verify. Said she couldnt do nothing because I booked through Expedia.

The bathroom had more hair on the floor and surfaces than a beauty salon

There was a used condom in the parking lot I killed at least four spiders in my room They don’t have an elevator The stove and all the cabinets and all the walls had food and nasty pet and human hair on them I couldn’t store anything in the cabinets and the nightstands and small dresser! Then I asked if we wore my options if I can get accommodated, they basically said they can refund me, but I would get my money in two weeks so my options were to stay in that room or find another hotel on top of the money. I’ve already spent. Then when I got there, I had to play security deposit for the room Still never received it. then I didn’t even have Linning for the secondary bed so the guy just handed me a bunch of sheets no blanket cause they didn’t have anymore and on top of that sheets had blood stains on them so that I was so disgusted I didn’t even sleep with them. It was very cold outside. Woke up as sick as a dog just because I didn’t have money for another hotel. i’m not exaggerating, but the day was about 13° outside and it felt about the same inside. There was a lot of lizards and I’m pretty sure the receptionist at the front desk knew about it.

It’s advertised as a breakfast hotel, there is no breakfast. My room has no lights at the entrance, the bathtub was clogged and the TV remote control has no battery cover. Also I have to wait some time for the teller to solve the problem with my room’s keys. Why, because he was never in the front desk.

Stayed here with my family for a school trip and it had everything we needed. Clean . Just need to take some pans to cook if you get a suite. Overall awesome stay and the customer service was great !

The shower did not work And the tub did not drain did not report. It waited to do my comments.

Rooms really need to be up dated hot water doesnt really get hot the refrigerator made terrible noise all night long . Avoid this place

We never got to see the property as they lost our reservation and could it accommodate late check in do to lack of staffing

There was no "stay." They canceled our reservation without any notification along with many others and rebooked them in a money grab due to Big 10 championships in town. They rebooked all rooms so we were stranded in Indy with no place to stay after our nieces wedding. They said because it was a third party booking they could do that. There were many irate customers.

No AC on a 92 degree day. Wouldn’t refund. Wouldn’t move rooms. Hotels.com assistance non-existent

MOVE ON! DO NOT STAY HERE! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! I would strongly advise against staying here for several reasons. Unlike other hotels, this one refused our request for early check-in, even though we arrived just 30 minutes early after getting caught in a rainstorm and we were all sopping to the bone wet. The front desk insisted on charging an early check-in fee, and despite explaining our situation, they wouldn’t make an exception. We were forced to wait in our car, which was incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable. Additionally, the hotel was not well-maintained. The lobby floors were dirty, and at least 10 people were smoking weed right outside the front entrance. We had booked a 3-night stay but left after just one night due to concerns for our safety. Getting my money for the 2nd & 3rd night were a long & difficult time sucker. I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone to stay here in the future. Do yourself a big favor and spend your money elsewhere.
