Extended Stay America Suites - Fort Wayne - South

Everything was good except the fact that there was no ice machine and the breakfast consisted of coffee and granola bars.

Located in a business park along with a few other hotels, this one is at the end of the road and closest to the highway. Building is old and in need of maintenance and repair. The cleaning team isn't very good--we had to replace all of the pillow cases because they hadn't been changed from the previous guest. There was a disgusting wad of spit in the corner of the room, too. Check in staff were pleasant but inept--had to run our credid card three times, charged us a room fee that had to be refunded because the stay was paid through expedia and we constantly had to have our room keys reprogrammed. The bathroom is tiny and dingy. The floors bounce as you walk and we heard every step of the elephant man staying in the room above us. It seemed to be a safe area so a good choice if this is all you can afford, but I wouldn't stay here again.

All the outer doors need to work.

Location is great. Overall the hotel was okay. Outdated appliances, and fixtures, lobby smelled, but the room smelled nice. Door bolt lock was loose, but the bolt was good. Biggest complaint was the paper thin blankets, and then they didn't have any extras available. The worker said they didn't have any,and they run short a lot. It worked for a quick overnight.

We like that it was close the the airport. The morning desk lady was very nice. Things that we did not like: Someone had been in our room previously and sat on the bed and used the toilet. There was not any shampoo for us to use and 1 small bar of soap. There were only 2 washcloths and 2 towels for 4 people. There were not any cups and no ice available. The evening lady seemed annoyed, but she did help clean the toilet.

Our room was dirty. Mold in the shower. Tub and walls dirty. Floor boards peeling away from the walls. Smoke detector hanging by a wire from the ceiling. Once we called and asked where the dishes were and we received them, we had no coffee filters, soap, scrubber, etc. Had to purchase it all. The dishes barely made it possible to prepare a meal. The elevator wreaked of maijuana every night around 10pm. When I called down for TP and trash bags I was greeted with, “sure, come on down and get it.” The kitchen was dirty. The coffee pot had layers of residue - clearly had not been washed before wrapping it in plastic. The staff hung out in the comfy chairs in the lobby instead of behind the desk. Overall it was a less than ideal situation but we were stuck with it and made the most of it. I would NOT recommend this hotel and would like to get a refund, even though that won’t happen. Gah!

I reserved and paid for two king rooms… one was a pull out couch with bar in middle that kept me awake all night… other room was a double bed… no ice and breakfast was tiny granola bars

Clean and secure but rooms really need an update. I understand the rooms go through a lot of churn but the floors were uneven and the molding at the floor was peeled off and on the floor making it feel even cheaper than it was. The breakfast was non-existent (no coffee, no breakfast bars). Good and cheap but could be better with a few minor tweaks.

The location was nice. The floor of the room was dirty and the hallways smelled slightly of cigarette.

Decent low end hotel. Nothing spectacular. Hallways smelled like 3 day old Chinese take out.

Room was extremely dirty with dirt, trash and food under the bed. Microwave had rotten food and filth all over. The dresser in the room literally fell apart. Dogs barking and the smell of cigarettes and marijuana in the hallways. Sheets were itchy and smelled of old cigarettes. Overall just a nasty hotel throughout.

More reasonably priced does NOT mean better. This room was filthy. We turned around and left. Hair all over the bathroom. Hand prints on the kitchenette counter. Dirt on the floor. Bad moldy smell. No manager on the property!!! Plus a $100 deposit!!!

1st room they put me in was filthy. Everything in the room, countertops, night stands, tables, bathroom, floors were nasty.A/C didnt work but the heater was on so it was warm in the room so i had to open the windows to cool it off just to listen to the freeway. Fridge didnt work and when i opened it it smelled horrible. No blankets on the bed, just a the sheets. I got in about 1:30 in the a.m. The night staff looked very unprofessional and not well kept so it explains the filthy room. The day shift was better and put me in another room which was better but the floors still were filthy after she assured me it was very clean. I had to ask to borrow a broom so that i could sweep the crumbs into a corner so that i didnt have to walk on them. Pretty disappointing coming from a hotel name that i stay in regularly thats normally well kept

My check-in was delayed by an hour, the room was not cleaned properly. Filthy microwave, the AC did not work, the tub faucet was leaking and the room stunk from pot smoke.

We did not stay at the Extended Stay because the room was filthy! Stained sheets, hair on the bathroom sink and bathtub, dirty fridge and microwave. We canceled our reservation and went somewhere else since there were no other rooms avaliable.

There is only one person on duty at a time, the room was awful, wasn’t even swept or mopped. Counters and fridge were sticky. We had asked for clean towels after day 3 and was told that they had to wait to wash dirty ones until they had a whole load. The bathroom had several different types of hair everywhere. Thankfully they had Walmart delivery for cleaning supplies. The “breakfast” consisted of a few packets of oatmeal, and some nutrigrain bars. The pot of coffee and hot water were out and we were told that there wasn’t anymore, it’s limited to one pot of each a day. We will definitely read reviews next time and book somewhere closer to a food establishment.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning kept us nice and cool at night. However, the rooms were not the cleanest in certain places. We found a used ear plug in one room and in the other room we booked there were quite a few hairs in the tub and sink. We didn't complain to the front desk because we were only there for too nights and it wasn't anything we couldn't get passed. Overall though it was a great weekend!

The room left something to be desired. The linens were stained. The bathtub was dirty. The baseboard was coming off the wall. Overall poor

Alongside a busy highway, so noisy. Free breakfast consisted of a muffin and coffee,nothing else. Ripoff for the price.

I liked the accessibility of the motel. Higgway,shops and even hospital was close. I liked the room size and the kitchenette. I dud not like that the room needed repair (baseboard coming loose or missung). There were no assessories for the kitchen. And the bed was not frim enough for me. My back hurt everyday.

Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable

Shower wasn’t clean and had the last persons stuff in it. Baseboards were falling off the walls. The covers were super thin. Booked a queen size bed and got a double bed room. The woman at the front desk was really nice though.

A few hours before check-in, I was told they were overbooked and didn’t have a room for me. I was later told, they just needed to clean a room. Once I got into a room, the kitchen faucet had a very steady and loud drip… all night long. The bathroom door was heavy (for a handicap room) and did not stay open on it own - I had to drag a heavy chair in front of it, just to keep it open. The bed and pillows were comfortable, however, the fitted sheet kept coming off the mattress. Coffee would have been nice, but it wasn’t available until 2 hours AFTER I checked out. The staff was friendly.

I was looking for an inexpensive room for a night in a business trip and this location was fine for the price. The building was a bit run down, the light in the bathroom was constantly blinking and the very thin blankets on the bed were lacking warmth, to say the least. But the staff was polite upon checkin and the room was clean, if perhaps a bit long in the tooth.

No attendance at front desk. No greetings or thank you at check out.

Hotels.com took my money but I was not allowed to stay in the room I paid for due to a glitch in technology regarding check in times at the Extended Stay America. The Extended Stay America desk person treated me with no humanity. Despite having a record of my reservation, she lied (or was misinformed) about who canceled my reservation and who was to blame. After talking to Extended State America after the fact for an hour, the problem was an Extended Stay America computer glitch. The desk person blamed Expedia. The desk person had record of my reservation and said Expedia canceled it. I suggested just making a new transaction as a walk in so I could use the room. The desk person said that was impossible and I was out of luck. Hotels.com took my money. But I was sent out of the property without a place to stay that evening. I was so enraged that I canceled my next day’s plans to golf and drove home to Wisconsin from Fort Wayne for 7 hours that evening. After talking 3 virtual agents/supervisors and finally getting a phone call from the supervisor at Hotels.com, I understand Hotels.com would have taken my money with no refund had I not complained. They finally gave me a refund for the room I was not allowed to stay in. Extended Stay America took blame for their technology glitch that was not the fault of the desk person in Fort Wayne at the property. The desk person at the property had no soul as a human and failed to tell me the truth. Awful!!

An adventure! Parking was terrible -the lot was full with no handicapped parking. Had to wait for complaining customer before we could check in. Sent to room 325 that wasn't cleaned at all! Back at desk we were told nothing else available, then she remembered room 307 and sent us there. However, the key she gave us didn't work. The new key worked on the 3rd try. Room 307 hadn't been used in a while, and knob was missing from stove, refrigerator was beat up, one window was partially out of the frame, shower curtain was missing, and tub faucet would not do bath - just shower. However, the bed was clean and we were very tired, so it wasn't until the middle of the night that we found out that we were missing TOILET PAPER! Thank goodness I carry tissues! We were given TP, shower curtain and apologies at the desk the next day. The second night was much better, and we were thankful to have a place to stay.

Was given a room with no heat (20 degrees outside) went back to desk and was informed they were overbooked & couldnt give me a room, although it had been paid for for two months !! It was then told to go somewhere else what a joke , worst place ever & i even lost my expedia dollars i used , they claimed to refund me my money but wold not give me a reciept how does that work ? Its illegal to defraud a innkeeper , but what about me ???

Quiet and safe

Good location from Medical Facility.

Perfect location, right off the expressway. Check in was very easy. I stayed for 1 night before the eclipse. The lady behind the desk gave me a bag of microwave popcorn that I popped the next day to take with me to view the eclipse.

Great location near multiple restaurants and I-69, but removed enough to be quiet. We appreciated having a full-sized fridge as we were traveling with a cooler full of food. Front desk clerk was very friendly and attentive.

Comfortable room, clean, located near where my weekend activities were

This is my favorite hotel in Fort Wayne. They gave me a comfortable and clean room. It is convenient to travel between the hotel, restaurants and Kroger grocery store.

We liked the convenience to the doctors office which was close. We did not like the outside noise, party outside rear of hotel by what looked like a group of construction workers also staying at hotel.

I'd asked about breakfast and when we went down it was pretty meager. Otherwise, very nice.

The bed was the only good thing about our stay! I must say that it was very comfortable. However, sink was stained, fridge was stained, tub was very slippery, water in shower leaked, no small bottles of shampoo/conditioners etc. as advertised, missing pillow, no kitchen accessories etc. Free breakfast? Horrible small pre-packaged muffin and coffee. No fruit, no breakfast bars, bagels, etc. Nothing else.

This is a basic no frills extended stay motel. Dated, needs paint, minimalist breakfast, trash in the halls. Shower was good. Nothing really wrong or unexpected, just a mid level motel. For a few $ more, you could easily upgrade.

Good area, says free breakfast but it’s moreso free coffee.

Shower heads water leak, bathtub edge leak, poor reception service, breakfast just granola bars and small muffins, supposedly available pre-packaged oatmeal was "ran out".
