The room was clean and staff were great. The 2 elevators in the lobby didn’t work so we either had to have staff take us up the service elevator or walk up 5 flights of steps. I would have expected they would have had an elevator service company bypass the key card scanner to make the elevator function.

Very good stay. Great location with easy drive into downtown and to shops away from the city. Room was clean. Nice bed and great shower. We were very comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Both elevators broke. Staff was very accommodating to help us to our room on the second floor. We enjoyed our staff. Very nice. Will use Holiday inn again.

Our room had a non-working shower and fridge. They did verify and let us change rooms. Still a hassle and something that should have been caught well before check-in. One working elevator and a dirty pool. I do think the one-bedroom suite is fine for the price/night. No free breakfast, FYI.

We stayed here two nights while in town for my son’s tournament. It served our needs well. Location was good, near food and gas options. Hotel was clean and rooms were nice. AC was cold. Elevators are slow. Was nice to have on-site dining/bar option. Outdoor pool was on the smaller side but seems nice, we didn’t use it. Free coffee in the morning would be appreciated!

I had a good experience staying at this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The price was very reasonable, and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. The beds were super comfy, and the room had a nice TV and perfectly working air conditioning — which made for a very comfortable stay. When we first checked in, the microwave in our room wasn’t working, but the front desk quickly resolved the issue by moving us to another room. The only real downside was the cleanliness of the floors. They were quite dirty — the bottom of my socks turned black from walking on them, which was disappointing. Aside from that, everything else met or exceeded expectations, and I appreciated the overall value. With a bit more attention to cleaning, this would be an easy five-star stay.

I walked in to a lobby full of loud, very tall teenagers. Then checked into a dirty room. Dirty washcloths, dirty towels, dirty shower, dirty toilet, and an unmade bed and had to then take all of my belongings back down to the lobby to get a new room. Then the next day, I was napping and had the DND sign hanging on my door and the housekeeper came in anyway, woke me up, saying she didn't check to see if someone was actually still in my room. Very disturbing.

This hotel had been recently renovated. Our room had luxury vinyl flooring, a microwave, and a small fridge. Everything was clean! It was so quiet and comfortable that we decided to forgo our dinner plans, relax…and DoorDash our meals!

The check in service was poor. The staff threatened to refuse service because my kids were not calm enough for her at check in. She was rude to me and to the kids. Also, it's very disappointing that the hotel does not offer complimentary coffee.

The check in was horrible. The front desk person was frustrated but pretended to be happy but when asked about something would go and do it and would slam doors and things. Gave us wrong information about the pool. The pool was all moldy on the outside. Was goven a wrong room and then given a wrong sixe bed . I reserved queen beds and i got full size beds. The air conditioner was terrible .. my experience was horrible never staying there again.

This hotel is not right off route 95 but was worth the drive a few miles to save some money. We were only staying one night on our way to South Carolina. The room was clean and comfortable, no complaints. They could use more handicapped parking, my husband has mobility issues and has a tag but there were only a few spaces and were always full. There was also a large van parked next to the entrance that was blocking several parking spaces in the front row and it stayed there all night. Also the restaurant wasn’t really a restaurant, just counter service with a few fast food items for take out. No free breakfast either. We left the property for our meals.

I would give the hotel a pretty high rating especially for the cost. Here I am listing some things that could have been better. The elevators were not great. There was quite a long wait for them. The hotel is located behind what appears to be an out of business restaurant... not the most appealing way to approach... and the roadway past that abandoned building leading to the hotel is a little sketchy. It would be nice to have a guide to the hotel in the room, or handed out at the front desk, or accessible through the TV. I had to guess where the ice machine was, because I tried calling the front desk but they puit me on hold for several minutes (a bad choice because the question I had would have taken 10 seconds to answer).

I would have given the hotel 5 stars but breakfast selection was very limited and over priced. Coffee wasn't even included with the room, which was surprising to me. Its little things like that which make me want to come back to a hotel or not. Although this was clean and staff was excellent...I won't likely be back.

You can smell the newness and renovations. Extremely pleased with the hotel and the room. Very comfortable bed, pillows, blankets. Sparkling clean and new. Staff pleasant and helpful. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 was the food. Food options were good enough but very greasy, burger was rubbery, salad was soggy and drenched in dressing. But overall it was a very good stay. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is not right off route 95 but was worth the drive a few miles to save some money. We were only staying one night on our way to South Carolina. The room was clean and comfortable, no complaints. They could use more handicapped parking, my husband has mobility issues and has a tag but there were only a few spaces and were always full. There was also a large van parked next to the entrance that was blocking several parking spaces in the front row and it stayed there all night. It wasn't unique it was a basic hotel. Great general manager. We didn't know that it didn't include breakfast it was a full service restaurant it was pay for items for breakfast and coffee no freebies here was able to get hot water for some tea.staff was great

Exceptional staff! Everyone we interacted with performed as though they genuinely wanted to make us happy and experience a pleasant stay, I felt like these people should be working at a fancy five star hotel. The room was modest, probably the smallest bathroom I’ve ever had but everything was spotless, fresh. The furniture was in good shape and actually practical. A minor imperfection in the bathroom baseboard…behind the door, the only nit-picky thing I could notice. There was a small “restaurant” on the main floor. It’s set up like a lunch counter with a few extra tables around, again it was clean and in good repair and the staff treated us like it was a fine dining establishment, not the Kristy Kraft. The menu is short and simple, we had the burgers and the servings were generous, cooked to our preferences and most importantly, they were great! Loved being able to get a good basic dinner with pleasant people after a long day moving my kid into UVA. Would definitely stay here again, totally lucked out with this random hotels.com last minute pick!
