I recently stayed at the Donna Portals hotel in Palma de Mallorca, expecting a luxurious 5-star experience. Instead, I encountered poor management and lackluster hospitality skills from start to finish. Firstly, the reception process was bizarre. I was awkwardly directed to a distant bar from the reception area and asked for my credit card, which was taken away—unacceptable and unprofessional. The room was another major letdown. The TV didn’t work, and the coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine were generic. The room’s door was damaged, requiring a manual key instead of an access card. Despite their promise to fix it, no one ever came. Breakfast via room service was equally disappointing. I ordered scrambled eggs with vegetables and received a tiny portion with a single leaf of lettuce. They forgot the bread basket and brought just two slices of bread instead. The hotel’s disorganization extended to billing procedures at the pool, where receipts lacked a designated space for room numbers. Their online advertising of an exclusive beach was misleading; it’s a crowded public beach. This hotel seems to be run by someone with no clue about hospitality. Donna Portals is an absolute disgrace. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this so-called 5-star hotel at all costs.

Sehr modernes Hotel mit toller Lage direkt am Hafen von Portals Nous. Die Zimmer sind in Weiß gehalten und wirken hell und freundlich. Tipp: Unbedingt ein Zimmer ab dem 5. Stock buchen – ab dort hat man die schönste Aussicht. Besonders schön ist die Poolanlage im 7. Stock mit ausreichend bequemen Liegestühlen und Daybeds. Etwas gestört hat uns die Poolbar: Aperol Spritz für 16 € im Becher und zum Selbstholen ist nicht ganz stimmig für das Niveau. Auch bei den Gerichten wäre noch Luft nach oben: – Der „griechische Salat“ bestand fast nur aus Blattsalat. – Die Caprese bestand lediglich aus einem Mini-Mozzarella und einer Tomate. Daher haben wir abends immer auswärts gegessen – was hier mit vielen ausgezeichneten Restaurants in fußläufiger Umgebung wunderbar möglich ist. Der Strand (gehört nicht zum Hotel) wird überwiegend von Einheimischen genutzt. Es gibt einige Liegen gegen Gebühr. Fazit: Ein sehr schönes Hotel, das vor allem von seiner großartigen Lage und der traumhaften Aussicht lebt. Empfehlenswert – und unbedingt ein Zimmer ab dem 5. Stock wählen!

Väldigt trevligt hotel, med genomgående snygg design i lugn miljö. All personal är super trevliga. Enda minus är att baren/ restaurangen stänger tidigt efter kl 23:30 är det stendött. Hotellet ligger vid en liten strand Bendinat. ( man kan också bada från klippor). Det finns också en trevlig liten strandbar Freddy’s som har öppet till ca 23. Taxi till flygplatsen ca 20 min Hotellet har en egen shuttle bus till hamnen Vi kommer tillbaka

It was our best ever hotel experience , the staff was so nice and the service was 6 stars service (kindness, super clean rooms and amenities). The room was amazing, and the breakfast as well, the beach is perfect for families with easy access, beautiful sand and crystal clear water. We will definitely come back for another vacation!

Im Grunde ist das Hotel ein sehr gutes und sauberes Hotel. Das Personal ist super nett. Das Restaurant vom Hotel kann ich leider nicht empfehlen. Preis-Leistung ist absolut nichtgerechtfertigt. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand die liegen kosten extra. Zwei liegen und ein Schirm lagen bei 22,50€ pro Tag, jedoch konnte man auch mit dem Handtuch auf dem Sand liegen ohne weiteren Kosten. Die Preise im Hotel fand ich persönlich auch zu erhöht. Aber im Großen und Ganzen war das Hotel gut, sauber, ruhig und die Lage war super.

Really enjoyed our stay. It was short but we loved the facilities and the staff was very welcoming all around. Didn't expect the island to be so hot and humid so we really enjoyed the pool and also had a swim at the end of the day at the beach in front of the hotel. We had breakfast at the downstairs restaurant and it was varied and plentiful. Tasty bakery and bread, fresh products and the restaurant has two different vibes, outside and inside so you can have different settings depending on your mood. The room was very clean and the minimal decor was inspiring and cluttered free. We didn't have time to get the free paddle board or the yoga class but we did a visit to the spa before leaving and really enjoyed the Donna Signature treatment and the friendliness of the staff. Well worth it. We will come back hopefully soon for a longer visit!

ハネムーンで３泊滞在しました。ホテルに到着した瞬間からチェックアウトまで、スタッフの方の対応はとても心地よく温かいサービスでした。部屋は、期待以上に美しく、窓から見える海は最高で癒されました。朝食も大満足です。歩いて１分でビーチがあり、いつでも楽しめます。ホテルのSAPボードを借りることもできて満喫できました。市内に出たいときは、バス停まで歩けば、気軽に行くことができます。また、マヨルカ島に来たらこのホテルに泊まりたいです。

Myself and my partner had the most fantastic stay here and could not fault the hotel in anyway. Staff were amazing but Hamdi, Eddie and Quan were outstanding and went above and beyond for us the entire trip. Room was beautiful and clean, food was lovely and shuttle service was fantastic. Will be returning next year!

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, alles war verfügbar (Kosmetik-Produkte, Föhn usw.). Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt: direkt an einer kleinen Bucht, auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und eine Bushaltestelle (Direktverbindung nach Palma) sind fußläufig erreichbar. Einzig der Service könnte etwas besser sein, damit das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt: Im Restaurant musste man teilweise relativ lange auf Bedienung warten, bzw. die Bestellung wurde vergessen. Auch die Mülleimer im Zimmer wurden nicht regelmäßig geleert. Zusammenfassend: zu empfehlen.

My stay at The Donna Portals var really good. I got a nice upgrade on arrival, rooms clean and neat. Service was outstanding with being driven to the padel courts or to the harbour free of charge. On the points to improve, the room had a bit of a smell from the shower sewage, and the walls are thin so you hear when the doors to nearby room closes with quite a bang. Otherwise all very good!

Myself and my partner had the most fantastic stay here and could not fault the hotel in anyway. Sehr modernes Hotel mit toller Lage direkt am Hafen von Portals Nous. Die Zimmer sind in Weiß gehalten und wirken hell und freundlich. Tipp: Unbedingt ein Zimmer ab dem 5. Stock buchen – ab dort hat man die schönste Aussicht. Besonders schön ist die Poolanlage im 7. Stock mit ausreichend bequemen Liegestühlen und Daybeds. Etwas gestört hat uns die Poolbar: Aperol Spritz für 16 € im Becher und zum Selbstholen ist nicht ganz stimmig für das Niveau. Auch bei den Gerichten wäre noch Luft nach oben: – Der „griechische Salat“ bestand fast nur aus Blattsalat. – Die Caprese bestand lediglich aus einem Mini-Mozzarella und einer Tomate. Daher haben wir abends immer auswärts gegessen – was hier mit vielen ausgezeichneten Restaurants in fußläufiger Umgebung wunderbar möglich ist. Der Strand (gehört nicht zum Hotel) wird überwiegend von Einheimischen genutzt. Es gibt einige Liegen gegen Gebühr. This was a perfect hotel. Nice staff, calm sorroundings and a restaurant which served excellent dinner. Breakfast incl. simply outstanding. This is a place I’ll visit soon again. It had everything you could wish for. Thank you for a lovely stay❤️

It was our best ever hotel experience , the staff was so nice and the service was 6 stars service (kindness, super clean rooms and amenities). The room was amazing, and the breakfast as well, the beach is perfect for families with easy access, beautiful sand and crystal clear water. We will definitely come back for another vacation!

My stay at The Donna Portals var really good. I got a nice upgrade on arrival, rooms clean and neat. Service was outstanding with being driven to the padel courts or to the harbour free of charge. On the points to improve, the room had a bit of a smell from the shower sewage, and the walls are thin so you hear when the doors to nearby room closes with quite a bang. Otherwise all very good!

Pepi at the front desk and Joan at the pool made the impossible to accommodate us. No words to say how comfortable we all felt after our flight got cancelled and were able to find a room in that amazing hotel. Being a mallorquina living in nyc for 23 years is difficult when it comes to rate but rest assure that if you are an American and you have doubts to choose this hotel, please take it for the best of your experience in Mallorca. I’d like also to name that young man Hamdi, who would offer us a ride wherever every time we crossed paths with him, we didn’t take it because I still feel local and wanted my daughters to explore, but I have the feeling that he would get out of his way to make you feel comfortable. A 6⭐️ for this hotel gem 💎

Väldigt trevligt hotel, med genomgående snygg design i lugn miljö. All personal är super trevliga. Enda minus är att baren/ restaurangen stänger tidigt efter kl 23:30 är det stendött. Hotellet ligger vid en liten strand Bendinat. ( man kan också bada från klippor). Det finns också en trevlig liten strandbar Freddy’s som har öppet till ca 23. Taxi till flygplatsen ca 20 min Hotellet har en egen shuttle bus till hamnen Vi kommer tillbaka

Myself and my partner had the most fantastic stay here and could not fault the hotel in anyway. Staff were amazing but Hamdi, Eddie and Quan were outstanding and went above and beyond for us the entire trip. Room was beautiful and clean, food was lovely and shuttle service was fantastic. Will be returning next year!

Sehr modernes Hotel mit toller Lage direkt am Hafen von Portals Nous. Die Zimmer sind in Weiß gehalten und wirken hell und freundlich. Tipp: Unbedingt ein Zimmer ab dem 5. Stock buchen – ab dort hat man die schönste Aussicht. Besonders schön ist die Poolanlage im 7. Stock mit ausreichend bequemen Liegestühlen und Daybeds. Etwas gestört hat uns die Poolbar: Aperol Spritz für 16 € im Becher und zum Selbstholen ist nicht ganz stimmig für das Niveau. Auch bei den Gerichten wäre noch Luft nach oben: – Der „griechische Salat“ bestand fast nur aus Blattsalat. – Die Caprese bestand lediglich aus einem Mini-Mozzarella und einer Tomate. Daher haben wir abends immer auswärts gegessen – was hier mit vielen ausgezeichneten Restaurants in fußläufiger Umgebung wunderbar möglich ist. Der Strand (gehört nicht zum Hotel) wird überwiegend von Einheimischen genutzt. Es gibt einige Liegen gegen Gebühr. Fazit: Ein sehr schönes Hotel, das vor allem von seiner großartigen Lage und der traumhaften Aussicht lebt. Empfehlenswert – und unbedingt ein Zimmer ab dem 5. Stock wählen!

Väldigt trevligt hotel, med genomgående snygg design i lugn miljö. All personal är super trevliga. Enda minus är att baren/ restaurangen stänger tidigt efter kl 23:30 är det stendött. Hotellet ligger vid en liten strand Bendinat. ( man kan också bada från klippor). Det finns också en trevlig liten strandbar Freddy’s som har öppet till ca 23. Taxi till flygplatsen ca 20 min Hotellet har en egen shuttle bus till hamnen Vi kommer tillbaka

Super freundliches Personal. Leckeres Frühstück, hübsches Zimmer mit allem was Frau braucht. Ruhige Lage direkt an kleiner Bucht. Absolut zu empfehlen!

This was a perfect hotel. Nice staff, calm sorroundings and a restaurant which served excellent dinner. Breakfast incl. simply outstanding. This is a place I’ll visit soon again. It had everything you could wish for. Thank you for a lovely stay❤️

Im Grunde ist das Hotel ein sehr gutes und sauberes Hotel. Das Personal ist super nett. Das Restaurant vom Hotel kann ich leider nicht empfehlen. Preis-Leistung ist absolut nichtgerechtfertigt. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand die liegen kosten extra. Zwei liegen und ein Schirm lagen bei 22,50€ pro Tag, jedoch konnte man auch mit dem Handtuch auf dem Sand liegen ohne weiteren Kosten. Die Preise im Hotel fand ich persönlich auch zu erhöht. Aber im Großen und Ganzen war das Hotel gut, sauber, ruhig und die Lage war super.

Really enjoyed our stay. It was short but we loved the facilities and the staff was very welcoming all around. Didn't expect the island to be so hot and humid so we really enjoyed the pool and also had a swim at the end of the day at the beach in front of the hotel. We had breakfast at the downstairs restaurant and it was varied and plentiful. Tasty bakery and bread, fresh products and the restaurant has two different vibes, outside and inside so you can have different settings depending on your mood. The room was very clean and the minimal decor was inspiring and cluttered free. We didn't have time to get the free paddle board or the yoga class but we did a visit to the spa before leaving and really enjoyed the Donna Signature treatment and the friendliness of the staff. Well worth it. We will come back hopefully soon for a longer visit!

ハネムーンで３泊滞在しました。ホテルに到着した瞬間からチェックアウトまで、スタッフの方の対応はとても心地よく温かいサービスでした。部屋は、期待以上に美しく、窓から見える海は最高で癒されました。朝食も大満足です。歩いて１分でビーチがあり、いつでも楽しめます。ホテルのSAPボードを借りることもできて満喫できました。市内に出たいときは、バス停まで歩けば、気軽に行くことができます。また、マヨルカ島に来たらこのホテルに泊まりたいです。
