We have stayed here before while in the area. Overall the hotel is nice. Our room was clean and quiet large. The bathroom seems to have been uodated. The rooms were very quiet and I know that we had people near our room. The breakfast could use a few more options like fresh fruit and tea bags. Not everyone is a coffee drinker. The outside of the building needs a little TLC to improve the curb appeal.

Nice hotel, clean rooms, lots of parking for cars and trailers. King room was large and comfy. Other amenities (bathroom supplies, TV, etc.) were basic.

Check in was easy, disappointed that the pool was closed. That was not mentioned when i booked the room. I was there with my grandkids and the pool was not in use.

We were disappointed the pool was not opened and seems to have not been functioning for some time. The staff were not very friendly regarding the topic or with check-in in general and indicated the pool will likely not be fixed. If that is the case take it off the hotel details online please.

Pool area closed. Has been closed for an amount of time and will remain closed. Breakfast very limited. Room smells like smoke/musty. Screens on windows are hardly attached. Seems this hotel is on its last leg.

The hotel is older but it is very clean and the service was good. The beds were comfortable but the water pressure was not good at all. For the price it was excellent and what was expected. The pool is closed also.

In need of a refresh. Many weeds (even an overflowing box of weeds) in the front of the hotel give an immediate indication of what to expect inside. While the room is mostly clean, there is built up dirt in the corners, holes in the walls and chipped paint on doorframes and walls. Paint and decor is dated. Bed is okay. I consider this hotel okay for 1 night.....but I could not wait to out of there.

Overall I was very disappointed. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor/smell that made it uncomfortable to stay in. The paint on the walls was peeling off, which made the room look poorly maintained. It gave a very negative impression of the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel. Considering the price I paid, this experience was definitely not worth it.

The room was damp and musty smelling. We ended up leaving the window and the door open for multiple hours to air the room out. The manager was not fully able to understand english, and the breakfast in the morning had cockroaches crawling on the counter.

This is an older hotel, our rooms were on 1st floor which is actually below ground with ground level windows. It was quite musty and damp, with peeling paint in places and rusty door frames. The tub shower drain was rusty and had no plug. It was clean, but had an air of neglect.

The property was conveniently located by freeway. Easy access. Our room was not good. Shower area needed cleaning and painting. Black mold all around above the shower. Shower curtain was dirty. I took it down and left it in the tub when we left. Bedding needed a good bleach job. I peaked in another room that was open when I was leaving, and it was much better than ours. Pool was closed. Hopefully they are in the process of renovating and ours wasn't done yet. I can get by with a lot of things, but being clean is a non-negotiable in my book.

This property is outdated and feels damp. While the bedding was clean, pulling back the bedding revealed prominent dark stains on the mattress. The front desk person was a very nice woman who was very professional and helpful. The worst part of this stay was when we started getting ready for bed, I noticed a cockroach on the far wall. Nope. Not doing that. Those get into your luggage and you're bringing home unwanted souvenirs. We left and went to the Dubuque Holiday Inn and Conference Center. It was only 15 minutes from Peosta and it was clean, updated and relaxing. I'd recommend spending a bit more and avoiding this place.

Overall, the property was clean, just outdated. The windows panes were all foggy and needs placing. We chose this hotel due traveling with kids and wanting to use the adverised pool. After check in, we learned the pool has been broken and inoperable for what appears to be a very long time, per other reviews recently discovered. We would have chosen a differnt hotel if we have known the pool is no longer an amenity offered.

It was clean for the most part. Looks like inside had been remodeled, some stuff looks like it was done really cheap and half hearted. Breakfast is juat cereal and waffles. The windows on the place need replaced bad! You can even see out of them.

Although we loved the cleanliness and look of the place we cannot recommend any stays here. Husband and I BOTH tossed and turned on the concrete hard mattes for 2 hours before we decided to pack Up at 2:30am and make the 2 hr drive home to sleep in our own bed! It was unbearable and truly frustrating because we wanted to live this small town clean hotel. If all the mattress are like room #307 I don’t know how anyone sleeps there unless they are black out drunk.

The room was in good shape and clean. We were in a suite, which was spacious. My son enjoyed the pull-out bed. Breakfast was a reasonable, no-frills continental breakfast. It was a good spot to crash for the night in comfort.

The TVs and cable service are crap. There is a full page of HANDWRITTEN instructions for the tv and the old lady that checked us in warned us that she would probably have to come help us get the tv working. It took her 20 minutes to check us in so the last thing we wanted was her in our room.

The hotel was conveniently located and parking was easy. The rooms were clean, and somewhat up-to-date. The tv in our room didn’t work (it said no service available). The plug to switch the water from bath to shower wasn’t working properly, so you got a low-pressure shower while water was still coming out of the tub faucet. The pool was out of service (we were not notified, just saw a sign on the door when we went to go swimming). The breakfast area was VERY limited and VERY small. There was a youth baseball tournament at the local sports complex, and with only 3 small 4-person tables in the breakfast area, we had to go to a restaurant. It was a room and bed, but not the most pleasant experience we’ve had.

A basic no frills hotel but always clean. A comfortable bed with a good night sleep. Friendly, professional staff. Spacious parking. Easy on the pocket-book price point. Stay there numerous times for family events. Bathrooms could be updated but clean and functional.

My stay was fine. The accommodations met my needs and I felt the rate was a decent value. My only complaints were very limited choices for breakfast, namely no protein options. Even some yogurt or boiled eggs would make a big difference. The other complaint was that the man who checked me in could not speak English. Fortunately, I had made my reservation and paid through Expedia, so he only had to give me my room/key.

Customer service skills were lacking from staff. Not very friendly, if you could find anyone working. I thought i was booking a room at a known chain with a similar name. I believe this was independently owned at operated. We were placed in the dungeon (first floor). Dark and musty hallways which had scattered dehumidifiers in the halls. Dead bugs filled the tiled areas, not sure what was hiding in the carpets? Room was a suite with a jacuzzi tub. Very large living room with small kitchen area. Bedroom was nice with fireplace, jacuzzi. In the dungeon, we had no wifi and walls were thin. As we would leave the hotel, large amounts of cigarette butts everywhere. Light fixtures were broken and laying in the grass. Always had hot water, easy access off of the highway and really neat pancake machine for breakfast.

Staff was great. Check-in was easy and quick. While I was loading my car, the staff returned something I'd left in the room. Very happy with the stay.

The hotel was conveniently located and parking was easy. The rooms were clean, and somewhat up-to-date. The tv in our room didn’t work (it said no service available). The plug to switch the water from bath to shower wasn’t working properly, so you got a low-pressure shower while water was still coming out of the tub faucet. The pool was out of service (we were not notified, just saw a sign on the door when we went to go swimming). The breakfast area was VERY limited and VERY small. There was a youth baseball tournament at the local sports complex, and with only 3 small 4-person tables in the breakfast area, we had to go to a restaurant. It was a room and bed, but not the most pleasant experience we’ve had.

there is not a single motel in the world where they only serve sugar, and not sugar substitutes. Both syrup and pancake batter kept so low, it took several minutes to get enough. Better English speaking front desk people is very needed.

This a BASIC hotel. It was clean and satisfactory. But the breakfast was really really basic. The coffee was really weak. I did not expect eggs or meat, but a little yogurt would be nice. This would even make the absence of any kind of sweet pastry acceptable.

Pool area closed. Has been closed for an amount of time and will remain closed. Breakfast very limited. Room smells like smoke/musty. Screens on windows are hardly attached. Seems this hotel is on its last leg.

The staff was nice at check in. The room was not cleaned very well. There were brown streaks on the wall above the garbage can. The sheets on one of the beds looked like it had coffee stains on it. The room was not serviced during our 3 day stay even with putting our sign on the door. Breakfast was a bit lacking. The location was good for a spot between Dubuque and Dyersville. Parking was easy.

The hotel smelled damp & musty. There were numerous dehumidifiers throughout the lower floors with the carpet damp in many areas. The roof was covered with plastic tarps and there were numerous water stains in the drywall on the upper floors. The outside was overgrown and unkept. I will NEVER stay at an American inn ever
