The Appletree Inn is the only place I will stay in Saginaw, Michigan. The customer service from every single person who works there is like VIP treatment every step of the way. This newly remodeled hotel is within walk-in distance from the most popular restaurants and shopping stores. Check-in was fast and simple, the room was very clean and comfortable and there wasn't any more I could ask for. You can park right outside your room and use keyless entry. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. I love when businesses are competitive and work hard to earn business. This place is 5 out of 5. The advertised pictorial of the rooms isn't what it is. The room I occupied was not clean, the beddings and pillows were not clean and dirty. The reception and understanding of how to treat customers is quite low. When you request a change in your reservations within the required rules and regulations, there are issues and misunderstandings. I don't recommend this place for a longer stay.

Every inch of the room was not just dirty or dusty, but filthy. I killed 3 fairly large spiders in the first 20 minutes. Had to thoroughly clean the tub before using and even after cleaning it and filling it, I could not use after knowing what I had just cleaned off of it. So gross!!!!! While searching for a washcloth to wipe said tub with, I discovered a dirty, stringy, leopard print teddy hanging behind the bathroom door. It was clearly an establishment that catered to the prostitution industry, just judging from what I cleaned up and where. Needless to say, we left after less than 2 hours. And they didn't even refund me (not even partially). Horrible experience, will NEVER go back or recommend to anyone!!!! Just wish I would have taken photos.

The stay was miserable and literally sickening. I have never experienced a place so unsanitary, #1 of insalubrious hotels. INFESTED with bed bugs and mold. I have left with rashes, respiratory infections, sinus infections, dermatitis, a uti, and pink eye in both eyes. After only being there for MAYBE 12 hours.

Check in was good the agent was friendly. When I got the the room the sheets were not clean. Someone popped the sheets. There was hair and debris on the bedding. There were no wash cloths for me to take a shower. It was comfortable at all and the neighbors were in an out so much that I was comfortable staying at the property.i eneded up leaving about 2:30 am cause I just felt like I wasted my money on a dirty room. I will never stay at this property again.

Arrived at hotel later than the original check in time. We were instantly greeted by Fehim, the manager. He was super friendly and helpful and he offered for us to be able to check out the following day a bit later than the check out time originally. The hotel office as well as the room was very clean. The new management definitely seem to be trying to clean the place up quite a bit!! The rooms are being remodeled from what i last remember!! Had a very delightful stay!! Thank you Fehim for your hospitality!

It was a newly taken over place and they put a lot into the rooms. Only issue we had was the Air Conditioner didn’t work well. We had it set at 60 and it was still very hot in the room. But overall not too bad.

Has changed since we stayed here last time...was sold...now it's mostly ppl living there...ppl partying in the parking lot till late..rooms were run down..they took out the microwaves...no phones...old bedding with a cig burns on them...a could old towels ..no wash cloths..ac kinda worked when it wanted to..bed clunked when you sat on it...and at check out..no one was in there after 10am..was a nice place before..to bad..we have stayed there 3 times...I suppose this will be our last time .

Stayed here for two nights with my fiancé for a show at the Dow event center. Super convenient and central location. We stayed in the jacuzzi suite and everything was clean and functional! Fahim was a great help and we had no issues with checking in or out. 10/10 would stay again.

Hotel is under new mgmt. Our non-smoking room was previously a smoking room, and you could smell it. Door had a large gap and you could see through it. Hot water was dangerously hot. You could be scallded if not careful.

Worst hotel I have ever booked at. We didn't even get to stay. Check in was at 3pm, I was in contact with the hotel throughout the day and when we arrived at 8:30pm we were told our room wasn't ready for at least an hour. 100% unacceptable! And the manager I spoke with also did not care and was the worst service I have ever had. I will not ever book this hotel again and don't recommend anyone to do so. They are also disgusting and the lobby wasn't even cleaned.

This hotel was so dirty- rooms were stinky bed sheets dirty area felt very unsafe- first room we were given had garbage all in it moved to another room it was gross. Had to bring all our belongings every time we left the room. No wifi as advertised

People walking by all night. Standing by your cars. Keeping up noise. Especially ones that look like they live there. Didn't seem like a safe place. Up at night watching out for my car.

The first room they gave us was not cleaned at all. The 2nd room we got they had to hurry up and clean and then our key didn't work at all. We only got 1 towel and washcloth for a room for 2 people. King size bed in the hotel pictures there's 4 pillows we got 2. All the travel sites say breakfast included and they don't do anything for breakfast. Will not be returning to this place. Oh and they also charge a $50 cash deposit they don't mention anywhere until you arrive to check in.

The Appletree Inn is the only place I will stay in Saginaw, Michigan. The customer service from every single person who works there is like VIP treatment every step of the way. This newly remodeled hotel is within walk-in distance from the most popular restaurants and shopping stores. Check-in was fast and simple, the room was very clean and comfortable and there wasn't any more I could ask for. You can park right outside your room and use keyless entry. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. I love when businesses are competitive and work hard to earn business. This place is 5 out of 5. Great price, and very willing to make sure you have a great customer experience. I highly recommend this place. Rooms: 5 | Service: 5 | Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Romantic, Quiet, Great value

I would not stay here again. They accept payment by cash. Everything vaguely smells like smoke. Furniture is scratched and damaged. Paint in room and furniture chipped. Property is in disrepair. Door did not have a safety lock OR chain from the inside with a door that opens to a parking lot. I thought I might tough it out for the night and sleep on the sheets until a mouse ran across the bathroom floor and I moved to a different hotel. Nothing like photos online. Movie stereotype No-Tell Motel.

When checking into the room the front desk clerk was making very inappropriate comments to myself and was making me feel VERY uncomfortable. The outside of the hotel was very dirty and looked run down. When we got to our room it looked NOTHING like the pictures online.
