Hotel was great. Located right off 75. There’s a WM just down the road. No Publix tho-you’ll have to head further south closer to Macon. My room, as requested, was on the top floor, away from elevator, making for a safe, quiet evening. Everything worked in room, ample hot water in shower. If you park midway on right side of hotel, you’ll find multiple luggage trolleys. Breakfast was generous and good! Not just carbs-several other protein options. I saw several well-behaved pet parents with their dogs. (Yes, you read that right) Definitely a good choice right off I75. On my next trip to the Smokies I’ve got a reliable place to stay.

I enjoy the property because the Price is Right for the location. The staff is great and the check in is simple and easy. We enjoyed this location because it has a good pool, pet friendly and the breakfast is good in the morning. The only downside to the property is the questionable people that walk through the parking lots and around the property for the nearby area.

Very nice facility and was a perfect stay for a one night hit and run. Room was clean and comfortable. Great shower with outstanding water pressure. I needed to use the self laundry service and it was very easy and inexpensive. Fantastic breakfast...one of the best I have ever experienced.

first-the hotel.com site states that this hotel has a bar/lounge and a restaurant. Neither is true. It is aging and needs updating. The HVAC is a health hazard with all kinds of nasty stuff spewing into the room. Our did not work. Breakfast left something to be desired. Only one woman working very hard, but no one to keep things clean and refilled.

Room was smaller than expected and cramped. They would have done better to not put so much furniture in the room. There was barely enough space to walk between the bed and TV stand/drawers. I've paid less for better, larger rooms and definitely feel like I did not get the value I expected. The room and the entire building also had a musty smell.The shower had a big crack in the wall and there was hair from the previous guests in the tub. I had to clean it before using it. Breakfast was the usual fare and was good. The only miss there was that there was no coffee and it was not replenished the entire time I was eating. 50/50 on whether I'll stay here again.

Very disappointed. Room/ furniture were run down w/ nicks, dirty bases, dust on lamp shades. Floors dirty and stained. The worse was there were several pubic hairs on the floor in the bathroom and hair on the counter which tells me the rest of the room would be dirty. Wife found a piece of plastic in her pancake at breakfast. Used to stop at Holiday Inn Express often but never again. We would have left if it weren't late and feared we would not find anything else. HIE will never see us again!

When we got into bed we realized the house cleaning staff had merely remade the bed with the same sheets as there were potato chips in the sheets. Coffee grounds and filter in bathroom trash can. We were exhausted and couldn’t get redressed and go get another room. Cleaning staff ignored our room for sure.

The check-in process was not only efficient and courteous but extraordinarily friendly as well. The breakfast bar was the best run that I’ve ever seen and once again with a wonderful personal touch. My wife and I agree (for a change) that we’ve never experienced a chain hotel that was so flawlessly well run. We’ve been married for 45+ years and seriously, I’m not exaggerating.

The check-in process was not only efficient and courteous but extraordinarily friendly as well. The breakfast bar was the best run that I’ve ever seen and once again with a wonderful personal touch. There weren’t any coffee for breakfast. The front desk person complained that he doesn’t get paid enough to handle the breakfast area when the attendant is doing something else. When I went to turn my keys in he didn’t come out of the back area to check and another person also just left his card on the desk.

Staff was so very accommodating. We traveled 14 hours by car and about 2 1/2 hours prior to arriving, I made the reservation on hotels.com. Not sure if I inadvertently tried wrong date or you can’t make reservations for same date but I didn’t verify before accepting non refundable rate. I called hotel directly and they told me they thought they could change it. When I arrived I was told they had made a mistake and they could change it but they would let us stay without payment as they get payment the next night from hotels .com. . I offered to pay and they they could reimburse me later. Very impressed with all the work that Amelia at front desk and (perhaps her manager) did to work with me. They never once made me feel like I was putting them out for my own mistake. Highly recommend for customer service. My only minor complaint was the beds were too firm for my liking but I would still stay again knowing how much their staff values their customers

Host at front desk was rude when I asked about a government discount because I am a teacher. I tried to contact the hotel directly but I was cut off multiple times, so I booked through a 3rd party and then was not able to get a discount. She said my credit card information was already taken and when I explained that I had tried to call ahead to book through the hotel, she said they were too busy to take calls. She was not nice about it.

There weren’t any coffee for breakfast. The front desk person complained that he doesn’t get paid enough to handle the breakfast area when the attendant is doing something else. When I went to turn my keys in he didn’t come out of the back area to check and another person also just left his card on the desk.

Staff was very friendly! Beds were comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was hot and fresh. Property is older, but overall a good stay.

Very clean, comfortable and convenient to the exit during my trip. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was varied and tasty. I will probably always book with Holiday Inn from now on, very pleased!

The room was clean, quiet, and spacious. My only complaint was the breakfast. The food was very dry and the coffee and orange juice were both bitter.

We booked two different one night stays on our way down to the coast and the way back. What they didn’t mention on this site was they are under construction, with noise from the construction from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. both times we were there. When we went up to our room on the return trip, we opened the door to enter with our card key and there was a young man sitting at the desk using his cell phone. He said he was there “to check on the towels” and left. Eerie! The breakfast on the return trip that is usually a dividend of staying at Holiday Inn Express was disappointing, too. It was in a small room with only 6 tables-there were no cinnamon rolls,just empty containers, one of the cereals was running very low and no attendant in sight. As we were leaving, someone did come in and went in and got two packages of cinnamon rolls and put them in their designated area. However. they were still tightly wrapped and cold. The attendant then disappeared again. Was very disappointed, we normally like to stay at Holiday Inn Express when are traveling but this experience will give us pause to pick them again.
