Put us on the 5th floor with no elevator working. Didn’t have someone to take are luggage up for us. Said it would be fixed that day. 3 days later still not working. Needs to be renovated. Great location for walking to everything

The room was okay, the location of the hotel was what we needed. -The staff was very friendly -Two nights was about $364 -Very easy to walk to shops and restuarants - There is no onsite parking, we parked in a parking garage about a half block away -The hotel was old, very dated rooms -Not dirty, but not sure if the staff cleaned well either -There were black hairs on the bathroom walls -Stuff on the floor, like it was not swept well -There was no hot water in the second bathroom, they had a sign saying let the water run, but the water was still cool in the shower

Great location close to everything. Very old hotel, however clean and comfy. No frills at all, and parking is the main killer, you have to park in two walking distance garages, thankfully it was not raining. Pack light!

Room was pretty clean but the bathroom bordered on disgusting. There was no place to keep my toiletries in the bathroom. A/C was a bit noisy but worked well. TV was very small...I had to sit right in front of it to read the guide. Also no parking at the hotel so we had to use a parking garage 2 blocks away. A 2 night stay cost $60 to park.

Not only no designated parking, no solutions for parking for guests. No elevator working, no ice machine, no hot water for showers or baths, and no functioning elevator and was assigned 6th floor room.

When we arrived found out that the sole elevator in the hotel had been out of order for ten days and had no idea when it would be working. We had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. If we had known in advance, we would have sought alternatives. There was a Hampton Inn around the corner. An alternative was offered by decided to stay due to its convenient location to where we planned to go.

We did not stay at the hotel. When we arrived at about 10pm we were advised that we had rooms in the 3rd and 4th floor and the elevator was not working. I can understand the dilemma but what I cannot understand is why neither Expedia nor I were advised of the problem earlier so we could have made other arrangements. Fortunately we found a hotel that was able to accommodate us although at a higher price. Not the best experience.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The cleanliness was very poor. The towels clearly had not been washed from the previous guest, as there were multiple hairs stuck between the folds of several towels. On top of that, the noise level is unbearable. The floor literally vibrates from the music in the bar below, so don’t plan on sleeping until all the bars in the area finally close. To make things worse, the Wi-Fi is practically unusable. Short videos won’t even load on YouTube. Overall, not worth the stay.

Hotel is very old and has not been maintained. Our room was very dirty. Everything needs a good cleaning. There were stains on my pillow case. Water would only get luke warm. Bathroom door had layers of dirt. The hotel could be amazing if it was cleaned and some minor updates were made. No onsite amenities. No coffee or water in the lobby. Staff was helpful and it was a great location by Albert Whitted park but I would not stay here again.

During my four days and three nights at this property hotel room was never once cleaned! I only received fresh towels and shampoo as well as body wash. Out of the three nights that I stayed at the property my Wi-Fi only worked for one night and the cable only worked for one of the nights that I was there. I was told by the front desk staff that this was an old hotel. He asked me what did I expect about the property? The front desk staff was dismissive and rude. I politely notified them each time that the Wi-Fi went out and the cable went out. Also even after I notified them several times that my room had not been cleaned my room still wasn't cleaned on any of the nights even when I put a sign outside of my door every single day to request that the room be cleaned by housekeeping. The location of the hotel is in a great area which is conveniently located by many restaurants and a short walk to the Salvador Dali Museum! The hotel bedroom was a good size and aside from that I loved the area in which the hotel was located at but the lack of customer service and the lack of cleanliness at the hotel left many things to be desired

This was my second visit in a row having issues with this hotel. The only draw to it is the location. I contacted the front desk because the shower in my room was leaking onto the bathroom floor, the water had hardly any pressure, and the drain began clogging....which is gross. I was told they would move me into a different room the next morning. Well, the girl there the next morning had no idea. She told me she couldnt move me until aeound 5pm, when all the rooms where cleaned. I asked her why i couldnt just get the FIRST cleaned room. She said she would do that and call me when it was ready....I NEVER received a single call. Also, the hotel has roaches and isnt very cleanly. If you want a below average stay but great location, you can stay here. If you want nice with good service, avoid this place!! I personaly with never be back. Also, fyi....these are the same owners of the Galaxy Hotel down the street. Same story.

Like the old art deco feel and the location is great. But sadly the property is a mess. The lobby is passable but the room, at least the one we had was awful. Bugs on the bathroom floor and in the sink. Had to clean all of the hair and other junk out of the shower before using The furniture is falling apart The safe didn't work, the bathroom fan didn't work, the water in the shower didn't get hot.... granted the price was low... so don't expect luxury, but at least you expect clean

Wish they would keep up with the building. Obviously it is an old hotel, but that's not an excuse to not keep up with the place. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was not very clean. The shower faucet handles were not even connected to the wall. The sink didn't have a drain stopper. The wrefridgerator was not jice. And to clean the hallway they seemed to have just thrown some baby powder all over the carpet or something. Also, location is only good for those wanting to go clubbing. Do not expect to get any sleep at this hotel. Staff at front desk was nice, but I never really saw anyone else. Not really sure who the cleaning crew was or anytbing.

We did not stay here. Got there checked in waited outside and had my husband bring our bags to the room when he went in he said the room smelled like mildew he asked to change rooms which the front desk (he was great btw) change the room that room also smelled funny so we went some where else. Still waiting on my refund because this was unacceptable….

A quick getaway for my husband’s birthday. Great location and great price! Room was very basic and out dated but we were only staying for one night and didn’t spend much time in the room. Could hear a lot of street noise but there was a Rowdy’s game that night so to be expected!

The location of this hotel is excellent but everything is super dated. Room was tiny, ac continuously turns off and on. No blinds and window curtains didnt cover entire window so light came into the rooms. Room faced an alley and you can hear everything. Had to go from 5th floor to first floor to get ice and it had white stuff in it so we threw it out. No hot water even when running it alot longer then the 2 minutes the sign in the shower suggests.

No parking for customers. Remote didn’t work, so no TV. Tv was a big as my computer monitor . Too much noise from surrounding rooms and foot steps from room above. Room was very outdated. Not enough toiletries. No maintenance to fix TV issue. Would never return or recommend. Pictures on website are really a fraud. We could’ve gone to the Hyatt for $23 dollars more and have better service and even parking.

This property is at the perfect location but that’s the only thing perfect about it. Although it was fairly clean, the property is run down despite the lobby’s looks. I had 3 people in a double room. Two of us were fairly big men. Our bathroom was the size of a closet, and not a walk-in closet. You couldn’t use the sink unless you stood in the room. Paint jobs were incomplete. Curtains had holes in them throughout. Shades had weird stains on them, so we didn’t want to touch them. The beds were ok but not the greatest. And the elevator was something out of the 80s. About 2-3 people could fit and we said a prayer each time we got on in hopes it made it. This property is ok in a pinch for one night. Anything longer than that, stay somewhere else.

Hotel smells musky and stale. Beds were horrible. Giant ridge down the middle, precenting us from sleeping without falling against each other constantly. Bathrooms are tiny and pretty hard to use. Not worth the savings of a cheap room.

Bathroom extremely small with a window in the door that you can see through as you utilize the facility!! Stayed for 7 days and cleaning rooms was not daily but whenever, had to go to desk for towels. Queen bed was a full bed and short! Hot water never came or took 10-15 minutes in shower! Couldn’t use tv unless you had passwords for apps. Unable to use personal computer as there was no service! Constant buffering. Had to pay for parking daily!! Never would go there again! Dirty bathroom and room never cleaned!

During my four days and three nights at this property hotel room was never once cleaned! I only received fresh towels and shampoo as well as body wash. Out of the three nights that I stayed at the property my Wi-Fi only worked for one night and the cable only worked for one of the nights that I was there. I was told by the front desk staff that this was an old hotel. He asked me what did I expect about the property? The front desk staff was dismissive and rude. I politely notified them each time that the Wi-Fi went out and the cable went out. Also even after I notified them several times that my room had not been cleaned my room still wasn't cleaned on any of the nights even when I put a sign outside of my door every single day to request that the room be cleaned by housekeeping. The location of the hotel is in a great area which is conveniently located by many restaurants and a short walk to the Salvador Dali Museum! The hotel bedroom was a good size and aside from that I loved the area in which the hotel was located at but the lack of customer service and the lack of cleanliness at the hotel left many things to be desired

When I arrived to check in, there was not an employee to be found anywhere, and no-one answered the phone when i stood there calling. Apparently the front desk clerk left before their replacement showed up. Then the replacement Showed up extremely late for his shift. From entering the hotel to finally getting into my room took well over an hour. The one elevator they have was out of service. The wood floor in our room was a very unsettling combination of simultaneously feeling both slightly and sticky and slimy. The beds were cheap and uncomfortable. When we left in the morning, Mr late to work was behind the front desk with his bare discusting feet propped up on the counter giving us a farewell view of the dirty soles of his feet. Bottom line is this hotel brings further shame to the reputation of 14th century Spanish conquistadors I would not go back there even if the room was free. For perspective...This is first time I have ever been compelled to leave an online review of this nature.

Staff was super friendly however we checked in a little later in the day and the room key given to use was for a room already occupied. So i walked in on someones very intimate moment. This was quite devastating for all parties.

Friendly front desk staff. The only issue was the elevator was broken and our room was on the fourth floor. My friend and I were struggling to get our cooler up the stairs. We made it to the second floor and one of the house attendants swa us struggling. She grabbed the cooler from us and hauled it up we will be back

We arrived to a broken elevator which can happen. What caused me to be disgusted about the hotel is when another guest and myself had to assist an elderly woman with mobility issues up the stairs and carry her bag while two hotel employees just sat at the desk offering NO help. I heard other guests in the lobby complaining that they weren’t notified of elevator being broken. Being a Saturday night during peak season trying to find a last minute room in other hotels at check in is time consuming and extremely expensive.

Great location close to everything. Very old hotel, however clean and comfy. No frills at all, and parking is the main killer, you have to park in two walking distance garages, thankfully it was not raining. Pack light!

You cannot beat the location. You are right in city center St. Pete. It made the condition of the room, (not cleanliness, it felt clean) so much as the build/age. Very small bathroom and a smell of mold. This hotel could charge a lot more per night if they put some money in upgrading the place.

Check-in was fast and convenient! Its reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. Maybe because it doesn't have a pool or gym, but there are two bars on site and a small restaurant with great food!

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the attractions and good restaurants. They have a bar with a live band there on Fridays and Saturdays. The only thing that I was not satisfied with was the WiFi. If you need to work on your computer, the WiFi is slow or cuts in and out. There is no cable TV. You can watch programing that is available via streaming services.

There is nothing botique aboit thos place. Its dirty and the desk man was slumped in the chair when we walked in. No pool, the bar downstairs has rude staff. The location is great thought. You will he walking distance to almost anything downtown

The property is charming and quaint.The area around the property is lovely to walk around and enjoy shopping and dining. I would suggest that the hotel provide coffee in the mornings. The small outdoor restaurant downstairs has good food.

The only thing good about this hotel was the location. We could walk to Starbucks, bars, restaurants, Saturday morning market and the waterfront. The hotel is very old and in need of renovations. The shower has mold in the grout. The light fixtures in the bathroom are rusty. There was no hot water. The previous guest's used washcloth was still in the shower when we checked in. The bed was soft and had a huge dip in the middle. The mattress should have been replaced long ago. It was very uncomfortable and our backs were sore in the morning. The bedspread was old and worn out and in need of replacement. Customer service was not good. They did not come in to clean the room until 5 pm each day. They didn't even clean the room one of the days we were there and we went down to ask for clean towels. They gave us towels but didn't have wash cloths. Next day they cleaned the room but didn't give us wash cloths. We had to go down and ask twice before they finally brought them up. There is no coffee or breakfast offered here, either, but there is a Starbucks within walking distance.

Stay away from this hotel. The only positive thing is that the staff was really nice and helpful. Everything is wrong with the hotel: the only elevator on site didn't work, the room was dirty, and the bed cover had stains (please let's not speculate on what they were). The bathroom was tiny and didn't even had a place in which you were able to put your things (not even a shelf). They have no parking on site, no place to have breakfast etc. In short: stay away from it.

Cute vintage hotel with an amazing restaurant and bar on the first floor. If you need 4 star, up to the minute everything in your room, which I didn't, this hotel might not be for you. However, if you're looking for quaint, clean comfortable accommodations in the heart of Downtown St. Pete at an reasonable price, this place is great.

The hotel had the basic necessities. Ahmed was very friendly, helpful, and pleasant. He always greeted me and asked if I needed anything. I heard him greeting other guests as well. Even though the accommodations were fairly comfortable, some updates could be done to the rooms and offering a continental breakfast & coffee would be appreciated🙂

Location, location, location. Stayed there with my wife and 2 18y/o twin girls in a separate room. It’s an older property, similar to staying in a low-budget off brand hotel in NYC or Rome. The layouts are small and you will immediately want better furniture. The bathrooms tiny. But everything works and the front office staff are delightful. If you want a very cush and extremely clean hotel, it’s not for you. If you need a place to sleep, aren’t super hoity-toity and like the price it’s just fine.

The first night we had people next door fighting at 2am and I had to yell at them to shut up and go to sleep. There are no phones in the rooms so there's no convenient way to reach the front desk. The next morning the showerhead literally blew off and hit my wife in the face. They were able to repair it later that day. The second night was fine. The parking is nonexistent and you have to pay to park in a garage around the corner which costs $16 a day. The bar and restaurant were closed for some reason but there are plenty of other places within walking distance so not that big of a deal. The prices are decent and we love the location so will probably give it another try.

Great toilet paper! Other than that, it's a basic older hotel. Our biggest complaint is the air conditioning, it worked well and the room was cool, but did not seem to dehumidify. Floors, clothing, and towels felt damp. Towels would not dry overnight.
