Walt Disney World Dolphin

The hotel is very nice. It is walking distance to Epcot and Boardwalk. We had a dinner reservation for a restaurant on the boardwalk so this was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the music at the pool all day. The parking was a bit disastrous. There was a pavilion covering one of the parking lots so there were less than zero parking spaces available. We were forced to use valet parking, which is not what I expected. Upon checkout, Rachael noticed that my bill showed self parking and valet parking. She was able to remove the extra charge and lowered the parking fee because of the inconvenience the pavilion caused. Rachael deserves recognition for her attention to detail and customer service. Other than the parking our stay was very nice and I look forward to staying here again, hopefully longer next time.

There was a conference that we weren’t aware of when we checked in. Surprisingly even though at first it was super busy with the conference people they ended up being pretty quiet at night. The room was just a room and I would think for $500 a night the room would be a little bit better the bathroom was really small. Overall we had a good stay.

It was very clean and the pool and staff were amazing.

The hotel was nice. Staff was great. Location is great and convenient. My issue is THE FEES. I knew about the $50 resort fee prior to booking and I was ok with that. I thought that included parking my vehicle there which has always been the case when staying at a hotel. It does not. I got my final statement which also charged me $40 additional for self-parking making my total $98 in EXTRA FEES on top of the cost of the room. This is greed and gouging and I will NEVER stay at this hotel again for that reason. Put the fees in the room rate or 1 resort fee up front and don't hide it behind non-sense. This made a great experience very frustrating. As a side note, the parking lot that they charge to park in is incredibly tight and limited in availablity. I had to pull out of two different spaces to load and unload my vehicle so I didn't hit the vehicles next to me. I didn't complain until I realized I was paying a premium for this parking lot built for hot wheels.

Unfortunately, my experience with the staff was not positive. I felt my concerns were not accommodated appropriately, and I won’t be returning in the future.
