Pros: mostly clean, friendly staff, comfy beds, great breakfast in the AM- lots of selection of hot and cold foods, kid liked popcorn in lobby. Cons: roaches in bathroom upon waking up, lumpy pillows, check in at 3pm- arrived at 4:15, room not ready. Elevator takes forever and had expired date on cert. Back of the hotel parking lot had old a/c units thrown on the grass.

Cons: The room had trash in it upon arrival. The mattress was hard as a brick. The pillow was as lumpy as the breakfast grits. The room had a moisture issue and yellow stains on the ceiling. The linens were stained. After getting my littles ready for the pool, we walked downstairs to discover it was green and the stairs were moldy. Pros: The lady at the front desk was phenomenal. She even tried to find us another pool to go to. The manager was awesome when I called to let him know how our stay was going. He comped one of our nights for us. The location was great. The breakfast had a ton of options. There are a TON of complimentary perks like pop corn and cookies. The price was the lowest in the area with a pool.

Our stay here was comfortable. The breakfast was standard, the gym was basic with the elliptical machine not working but had a functioning treadmill and an assortment of dumbells. The beds were very comfortable! There was cable TV but the TV was small and did not offer any streaming services. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. I feel they need to make several upgrades to the rooms like new TVs and fresh carpet. But overall it was fine.

The only complaint I have for the property is that their elevator had been down for maintenance for some time, so it wasn’t a surprise for them. So why did they wait and call the day before to let me know so then I couldn’t cancel without penalty. Otherwise, it was a decent place.

Had some issues with my room. The safe was left locked and no one was on duty to unlock it. The phone in the room didn’t work so I could not call the front desk. The shower head was loose and sprayed water all over the ceiling and floor. I managed to tighten it by hand and use the shower. Not very good attention to detail for a hotel room costing mid three hundred $ for the night!

Nice clean rooms, comforatble beds, close to a lot of dining options. Near I-75 but could not hear traffic with A/C on. Decent breakfast and had a tailgate for football game (free burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings). Shuttle to games was nice but we didn't take as we had our own transportation.

I would have given more stars but the bathroom was very dirty with urine and toilet paper in the toilet when we came in the room and some red spots (not sure if rust or blood) in the bathtub. Let the front desk staff know and all they said was sorry and didn’t offer another room or a refund. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean other than the bathroom.

I was in Gainesville for 1-night on business and stayed here because the price was reasonable. The place has a run-down feel to the hotel. It needs a facelift. The worst was finding a roach under the covers in my bed. I would never stay here again.

The room definitely could have been cleaner, especially the bathroom. The top of the toilet hasnt been dusted/wiped in a while, the toilet paper holder ad dust and mold. There was something splattered on the wall.

We stopped here for a quick stay overnight. We were so exhausted getting in late, that we basically just fell right asleep. Upon arrival, we did smell something. The next morning it was very strong. We did some searching to try to locate the source of the smell and we found quite a bit of black mold in both the shower and the air conditioning vent. We informed management and asked for a refund and then told them we wanted something done so that no others would be exposed to black mold. The manager was very friendly and assured us they would take care of it. We certainly hope this gets taken care of. As far as the courtesy and customer service of the staff here, it was excellent, but the mold problem needs to be taken care of.

At 260 a night I expect a lot more. Bed was very hard and spring were old and made boise anytime you moved. The whole room neede to be up grated. Smallest tv live seen in a hotel room in 20 years. Should be more like 100 a night

The furniture and fixtures are old and worn. The sofa and chairs were not comfortable and the television was quite small. The desk lamp was beat up and ugly from age, and the lighting in general needs an update.

Location is great. Right off one of the main roads and near a bunch of great stores and restaurants. Only issue was our room was facing the Highway which made it noisy. Also, hair dryer did not work

During our stay, we accidentally left our bag in the common area, but Barbara noticed and contacted us after we checked out the hotel. She went out of her way to ensure that our belongings were returned to us, and her attention to detail was truly remarkable. This act of kindness made our trip so much easier and stress-free, especially with a young child in tow. I am so grateful to Barbara and the staff at the Comfort Inn for making our stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and hospitality."

This was my 2nd stay at the Comfort Inn , Gainesville University. I need a nice, restful place, close to I75 for a one night stay, as I travel on to Miami Beach. This place met all of my needs. The bed was comfortable the shower nice and hot , the popcorn and cookies was a nice bonus, Barbara at the reception desk was very gracious and helpful, and the included breakfast was delicious. I will certainly be back here next year, Lord willing!

Came with my daughter for a UF open house event all the way from Miami. Check in staff very unprofessional, when we got into the assigned room, there was luggage, food, garbage all over and tv on!!!! Front desk had no clue about that!!!Then after a long wait we finally got a room, key was not given and it smell very bad!!! Will never come back even for free!!!

Great customer service and breakfast. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. Walking distance to college town and restaurants.

My room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was very accommodating and professional. The only unpleasant experience I had was during breakfast one morning. The staff attendant monitoring the breakfast area was extremely rude. I approached the area and she appeared to be restocking utensils and condiments. I proceeded to make my plate and I spilled a tiny drop of sausage gravy on the counter and she literally stopped what she was doing and stared at what spilled on to the counter. I wiped it up. She was visibly annoyed and stated “I’ll get it”. I apologized for the spill and said to her “you look upset” and she stated “I don’t look any way. If I was upset I wouldn’t be at work.” All of this attitude for a tiny drop of sausage gravy I spilled on the counter that I wiped up. It was extremely uncalled for and honestly because of this experience I will choose a different hotel the next time I’m in town.

Easy to find off the highway. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Very noisy as the room faced the I75. Plaza nearby for restaurants, but was able to order pizza using Door Dash.

Pros: mostly clean, friendly staff, comfy beds, great breakfast in the AM- lots of selection of hot and cold foods, kid liked popcorn in lobby. Cons: roaches in bathroom upon waking up, lumpy pillows, check in at 3pm- arrived at 4:15, room not ready. Elevator takes forever and had expired date on cert. Back of the hotel parking lot had old a/c units thrown on the grass.

Room was clean and bed was comfy. But breakfast was horrible. Ate at 7:30 and everything was Luke warm. The biscuits were so dried out and sausage were shriveled up.

The food options at breakfast were great. It was nice to have the lemon water and ice to drink all day with also coffee available all day and popcorn. The place was clean. The beds were comfortable. The only downside was the traffic noise from the freeway. which disturbed our sleep.

We stay here often but this time around our room smelled horrible. It smelled like death. Then after sleeping that night and waking next morning, we got the flu and our immunocompromised son did as well. He started to feel horrible on our drive home after his medical appointments. Drive home is five hours. I blame the cleanliness of the hotel room. Like I said we have been staying here multiple times this is my first horrible experience with the cleanliness. They need to do better, they have signs saying they use medical grade cleaner. Well obviously not. The air conditioner hardly worked. And I didn’t even tell the staff or complain because I was very occupied with the appointments, and my son being sick. Now our whole house has had the flu for three weeks and I’m still not better. So not great.

I stayed here twice over a week. Both times were nice and friendly. The rooms was clean and comfortable. I would totally stay here again. And being pet friendly was very nice as well.
