Gulfview Hotel - On the Beach

Loved the outdoor pool, hot tub and beachfront view and access!!

Beautiful gulf front property. The rooms have a fully stocked kitchenette with refridgerator, stovetop and microwave. Less amenities than its neighbors (no bar, restaurants) and you have to bring your own chair if you want to sit in the beach. However, there are plenty of chaise lounges in the pool area to relax in the sun while viewing the water. I believe this is what makes it so much more affordable than other hotels in the area. I will definitely be going back.

The hotel was decent for the price. The only complaints is that the wifi was not good and it was a pain waiting forever for use of the one elevator. It was a nice location and offered beach and pool and hick was what I was looking for.

Very clean! Shower/bathroom dated but very clean. All hotel staff were super helpful and friendly. Parking is not for the faint of heart, as the lot is extremely small and the places pretty tight. Would definitely recommend abd will stay again.

Overall everything was absolutely amazing. Loved the easy beach access right outside the motel. Room was very spacious, comfortable and very affordable. We loved our beautiful view from our balcony. Our maid Rosa was WONDERFUL and very helpful. The only negative I have is the elevator was super small and very slow at times. But we managed. Definitely will try to return again next year.

Great private beach besides pool and hot tub. Great location. The parking is challenging! spaces made for very compact cars and most people arrive in SUV's!

We only stayed one night, but I would definitely stay again. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful

When you walked in there was a horrible smell. The bathroom had mildew, the elevator looked like it had mold. The one and only elevator was so small you had to finagle the luggage carrier to get it in. We were there one hour and checked out ….. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I’m surprised that Expedia recommends this .. apparently they haven’t been there recently

if you just need a place to sleep but don't plan on being inside much then this place is good. the beach is nice but they don't keep up with it, garbage and bottles all over. the hotel needs major updating and it smells really bad like mold, not only the rooms but the hallways too. there is only one elevator and its slow and dirty all the time. one morning our bathroom had water all over the floor and our toilet wasn't even flooded and the maintenance guy made a comment and said we moved the toilet. i am not sure why we would want to move that old dirty toilet. i think there is a major leak between the walls because i had a charger plugged in by the wall next to the bed and my charger for some reason was all wet as well and it messed up my phone for a whole day. i couldn't charge it i kept getting a message saying there was water detected in it. the stove and fridge were very dirty, hair in the bath tub, towels had stains. we stood 3 nights and 2 nights we tried getting in the hot tub at night and the same group of adults who were drinking all night took over the hot tub and their kids took over the pool. i went out there 3 hours later hoping my husband and i could get in the hot tub and they were still there being loud and drinking, so much for us getting in the hot tub. location of hotel is good, prices are decent, we paid extra to stay a few more hours due to our flight leaving at night and over all the staff is very nice but that is all.

UNSTABLE Wi-Fi- unable to work or relax. Clientele were sketchy and staff were low-class. Drugs rampant on the property with parents leaving unruly kids in the pool while they were smoking/snorting by the beach. Manager was extremely rude. Rooms smelled like mold. Walls were thin and the noise from the hotel next door was incessant.

Smells were bad. They need to consider getting rid of the carpet. Had to put towels in the kitchenette sink due to oder that literally smelled like someone took a dump in the sink. Tub would hold large amount of water after showers, took awhile to drain. Pool area was good. They had a private beach area but you had to pay for a lounge chair. Toiletries were small and only for one person when we were 2 people. Sure you could ask for more but they should have taken in consideration it was a 2 person reservation. If you smoke weed which we do not you could get past the smell in the hallways. If you want just a place to sleep and don’t care about all that was mentioned then this place is for you. Oh, pictures can be deceiving.

The whole place smelled terrible. It was very dirty and the carpets were awful. They needed to be ripped up and replaced. I will never stay here again.

It was dirty from previous occupants, obvious they did not properly clean and sanitize. Refrigerator full of rust and loose sand in the carpet. I would not book this hotel again.

This hotel was very dirty and just not worth the price that we paid. Coffee grounds still left in coffee pot from last people that stayed there. Rusty bathtub and the smell of musty moldy was too much. Overall the worst experience in a hotel we had on vacation. Definitely would not be back

The room was clean the beds were nice and comfortable, we didn't ask for housekeeping it was available upon request, but we didn't need it we were only in there mostly sleep and shower. If you need any supplies all you had to do was tell the maid in the hall or the front desk for fresh towels. It is an older hotel yes, but it is well maintained and mop the Halls they clean it and any request you have they take care of. If you're a family on a budget looking for a great place to stay that's clean and well maintenance this is your place. Added bonus there is a hot tub as well as a heated pool oceanfront, can't beat it 😍

I liked that it is on the beach and close to restaurants. Our room was very spacious with two refrigerators, kitchenette and microwave. The staff is very warm and friendly.

A true gem! Wish we would’ve stayed more than one night. Beautiful sunsets and balcony views! We will be back!

The air conditioner was right next to bed and could not sleep.

room, pool, and beach area were very nice! for the price, i think it’s incredible that the room comes with a kitchenette. only thing that could be improved is the wifi. it’s very in and out, and if you use a fire stick/roku stick it’s impossible to use the wifi because of how finicky it is.

Great value great location best value on the beach for the money. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were clean. Furniture decor, outdated in the rooms but TV was nice. Room had balcony that showed water view, which was very accommodating. Overall, it was just exceptional value for the money you pay to stay anywhere around here. Right next to shepherds which offers live entertainment, and a club inside.

Very old. Beach was very small and when we checked in qe were originally checked into a room that was occupied. Front desk made it right but made us feel u comfortable the whole night.

Room & hotel was older & not very clean. Pillows were not comfortable. No food or tea available at hotel. View into our room from hi rise parking garage around 30ft from our window with people getting into car looking into our room Had to keep curtains closed for privacy. Location was good

Location was great, however our room faced the Shephards beach resort and the music down at the tiki was so loud til about 11pm. The ac unit in room was extremely loud so dimmed the noise of the band slightly. The ac also didn't cool very well. Overall for what we needed the room for, it was decent.

We arrived and the staff members were not very helpful, we did not get the room we had asked for prior to flying. There was no much to do, and satff wasn't familiar with the area. The hotel was clean but very very old.

The staff disrespects to the customer. When I asked him (the front desk staff) nicely to provide me the beach towels, he pointed to the little paper on counter and told me to read it and without explanation. It was unprofessional. If you want customers come back and stay at your hotel, you have to train well your staffs. I was disappointing to book this hotel.

We have been staying at this hotel since 2017. We come every year and stay at only at this hotel. Close to everything. Has private beach. Staff is beyond excellent. Walking distance to everything.

Amazing vacation. The staff was fabulous and the room was clean and had what we needed. Loved the private beach and the fact thet we could walk a very short distance to everything. And again...most importantly the staff was amazing. They absolutely without exception were friendly and took care of EVERYTHING we needed with a smile and sense of urgency!!! We will be back!

The manager at the front desk was lovely and kind and very friendly.

By far the best Front Desk Staff we have encountered in our many trips. No matter the time each staff member was happy to assist and seemed to truly like their job. Whenever our next trip is to Clearwater Beach this is where we will be staying!

As a young female solo traveler (and of color, respectfully) I felt very safe and welcomed by the staff in this hotel. From the desk to housekeeping everyone was very sweet and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for families or solo travelers.

Location is absolutely fantastic! The staff was professional, polite and friendly! It is an older hotel without the newly remodeled price, but it’s clean, comfortable & a great budget friendly hotel! The private beach & nice pool were awesome!

This property is perfect for a modest getaway! It's larger than a boutique hotel but smaller than a large operation. They had all the basics. We were right across the street from the market and gas station. Pool, hot tub and new deck were perfect. Small but plenty of deck furniture. No restaurant/bar/store on site but places to eat everwhere. We were able have an extended check in/check out for a small fee. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The hotel is right on the edge of the where the bay opens into the ocean. Great little beach/cove for swimming!

A value hotel that offers a great location with a pool, a beach and a balcony water view. Don't bother with a car rental. Uber into Clearwater Beach and walk everywhere.

Great outdoor pool deck and loungers right on their private beach. Next door to other great hotel resorts, you can walk to and order drinks or water activity rentals. Walking distance to everything, with convient stores/shops across the street. Very nice mini golf course across the street. Very convient location for the price. It is an older hotel (old Econo Lodge) so elevator is slow, rooms have been updated but will show their age in some aspects. Overall a great place to stay on a budget.

Property and location were great, especially for the price. Joyce makes the best coffee and is very helpful. Alfonzo was also great. We will visit again.

Gulfview Hotel On The Beach is nestled between 2 larger hotels, yet provides quaint, friendly, comfortable service. Coffee in the lobby 24/7, private outdoor pool and hot tub with plenty of chairs and loungers. Our room had a balcony that provided wonderful views of the beach and water activity, not to mention a great place to watch the sunset. We just popped over to neighboring hotels if we needed any drinks or food and our room had a fridge, microwave and even a sink, 2 burner hotplate and dishes. The air conditioner unit is quite loud when running and plumbing up on 5th floor is a little weak, but we enjoyed this location so much! Recommending it to others already!!!

The property was right on the beach. Whats missing is a restaurant. The price to rent a beach chair were too high. But there were restaurants very near with live entertainment.
