Torrance Inn LAX Airport Area

First of all the Hotel is being Renovated, and it definitely needs to be! The furniture is old, and/or used. The "Dresser" was scratched up, and the drawers were stuck. There was one Comforter in the bed, and it was very thin. The Comforter also had what looked like Cigarette burns. There was no "breakfast" there was a Juice machine, which was out of order. There was boxes all over from the Renovations. There was also a lot of noise in the day time from the Renovations. The walls are very thin, because you can hear what is going on in the other rooms, and in the hallway. I paid online for 3 nights; however, when I saw the mess from the Renovations, and the hotel did not meet my standards, I asked if I could check out the following day. The guy at the front desk stated that he would ask the Manager. When I called and followed up with the Manager he stated that I would not be able to change my Reservation from 3 nights to one night. The neighborhood is not bad, and I am familiar with the area, which is one of the reasons why I chose the Hotel; however, there was a lot of Homeless people hanging around the Hotel. Last, the Employee's are not friendly at all! They were not rude; however, they did not smile, or make you feel welcomed. I definitely would not stay there again, even if they do make Renovations. I do not spend my money, where people are not friendly, and/or courteous; there's too many other Hotels in the same area!

Great location. Close to anll shopping and freeways. My room was remodeled and clean. Microwave in the lobby. Unfortunately the microwave doesn’t get cleaned but it works. The coffee is a light blend. Sometimes it takes a while for someone to come to the counter. But they do come.

The lobby area has the vibe of a rundown parking lot structure, very cluttered. The elevator doesn’t require a key to enter so really anyone can enter the hallways to the rooms. People smoke in the hallways. Wow terrible smell. Rooms were clean, and newer felt nice but the mattresses were old spring mattresses so you could heat the metal of the springs

Nice, clean, simple, quiet. They're undergoing remodel but our weekend stay was very good. refrigerator only fyi, and no breakfast of any kind. This place is close to lots of eats and retail. good parking. pleasant staff.

Apart from the smell of paint from the renovations, the place was very clean. We really enjoyed staying here. Will definitely come back another day.

The furniture wasn't in great shape. The ice machine kept running out of ice. The water pressure in the shower was not very strong. The AC did cool down the room very well.

Easy check in and check out, quiet, and towels were refreshed daily. Sheets and blankets were refreshed once during our 5 night stay which I thought was completely sufficient. Only complaints are minor - vending machines were empty upon arrival and when they were filled, they wouldn’t accept money. Breakfast was just cereal, coffee, and gas station pastries - but it’s free breakfast so it is what it is.

Elevator was outside where the parking lot was. In my opinion it could be unsafe

I didn’t look into shopping Parking was easy to access. However, the surrounding wasn’t clean. The room wasn’t clean! There was hair on the toilet seat. The trash can hadn’t been emptied. There were cigarette burns on the Spread.etc I checked out immediately!

There were roaches in the first room, moved to the 2nd room and a roach went under the room.

I only stayed here for a night, but the room was clean and check in was easy! Easy to find and uber friendly would def stay here again! Price was reasonable too.

The staff especially Sam and Jess were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived until I checked out. They went above and beyond to assist me with my needs. The room was spotless and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet atmosphere, which allowed for a restful night's sleep.

Staff was friendly and the construction wasn’t too much of a bother. Just wish the vending machines had stuff in them that would have been a nice option for my teen. I did however find a roach in the bathroom on the morning I checked out. Not sure if it was cause of the rain but still it was gross.

Overall pretty good! There were some weird water noises that kept me awake. My one gripe is that when I went to check out at 4am the night clerk was not at the desk. I waited for ten minutes ringing the bell but I had to just leave my card on the desk or I would’ve missed my flight

First of all, this property advertised is being close to LAX, which it is not! It took approximately an hour and 45 minutes to get from our beach area near LAX) which we were visiting to the hotel. Also, the television did not work. The remote did not work (had trouble with the volume going up and down and turning channels very hard to control the remote.. We had to ask for new batteries that did not work and the channels only worked from 58 to 81 with no guide that actually worked so you could not watch TV. We asked the staff for help they came up. They didn’t know anything about the service provider for cable or how to work the televisions. We were unable to watch TV for the one night that we stayed at this facility. Also, the blow dryer in the bathroom did not work and there was no soap in the bathroom but very few towels.. We found this hotel completely unacceptable and asked for a refund on our additional reservation days which they quickly commutated and was very much appreciated. We booked a hotel near the beach area where we were staying and close to LAX with no problems for our additional trip. Don’t be fooled by their advertisement, they are not close at all to LAX and this facility is a super eight motel that was just newly taken over and staff has not been properly trained and the accommodations have not been updated or renewed for a good leisurely vacation. Buyer beware!

Everything was great except the internet. Had to use my hot spot. Bed frame noisy when you accidentally kick it.

3/5 Likes: The room seemed to have been recently renovated, with modern decor and furniture. It was also fairly spacious. Dislikes: Some of the appliances (e.g. Refrigerator, AC, hair dryer) were quite old and didn’t work properly. The room on the street-facing side was quite noisy, so I had to keep the windows closed. However, with the windows shut, the room became stuffy, and the air conditioning was not very effective at cooling the room.

The fire alarm battery needed to be replaced so it went beeping all night on our second night we stayed there. The AC was not working properly and we didn’t get the rooms cleaned or clean towels

Fifth time staying here and Wi-Fi has been not working three of the times If you need Wi-Fi, don’t stay here

Rude receptionist. Dirty shower ,dirty bed sheets . Worst wifi always disconnecting. Worst hotel experience i would not recommend this place its terrible and traumatic experience

The staff were very accomidating for my request of checking in earlier than 3pm. I needed a room so I can get rest from night shift work. They check me in at11am!!Awesome service!!

The staff don´t speak good English; They have no service Attitude.. The Reception was alone and empty for most of the time.. No juice or soft drinks at all in the continental breakfast.. No vending machine no drinks nor chips or food in it.. very bad SERVICE.

Elevator was outside where anyone could access floors without a keycard and no security cameras. Beds not made daily and dirty towels not replaced. First room dresser was so sticky that we couldn’t put anything on it. Free breakfast included had coffee but no milk. Cereal but no milk. Male check in guy was rude and unwelcoming. Female check in was very pleasant. They definitely need to up their game.

At checkout I shared with the manager Jay, he wouldn't give us his last name, some of the issues we noticed with the room in the morning. There was no physical operating smoke alarm in our room. In the event of a fire we would have had no warning. I also let Jay know that the hairdryer didn't work. When you turned it on it sounded like there was marbles in it. I also let Jay know that the dresser top was so sticky that we couldn't put anything on it without sticking to it. Jay then got very defensive and loud with us stating that if we did'nt like the room we should have came back down and asked for another room. Jay didn't get it. I told him again that we didn't notice these issues until this morning. Jay continued to yell very disrespectfully that we should have came back and asked for another room. Jay just didn't get it. Pretty sad. How this guy got to be a manager, I will never know. Very unprofessional! All this with another patron there waiting. Do not waste your time with trying to stay here because they don't care about you or your safety. But they will take your money.

Nice place for the money. Kind of far from shopping just a Wendys next door which is good to grab a bite. Good place for a place to get some sleep. Place is under construction.

False advertising, NOT LAX. IT'S IN the only hotel in the area. Not by lax, no microwave, the shampoo dispenser were empty. The bathroom had missing board / water damage/ cricket caulking all over the tub. Ultimately false advertising of Torrance LAX. IT WAS A SUPER 8 MOTEL RENAMED

Over all a decent experience, I expected breakfast to be a full breakfast but all they had was cereal and coffee so I was disappointed on that.

Advertised as having breakfast but had sone old cookies in plastic wrap, asked the staff and cited since covid didn’t have breakfast anymore…then don’t advertise it.

I liked it had a elevator as we were on the 3rd floor. They were remodling so some things were messy. They didn't have anything for a contintal breakfast except coffee and ceral without milk.

The room was small with two twin beds. We travelled with three people. Two adults shared one twin bed. They didn't have any rolling cots. The continental breakfast was non existent for two of the three days we were there. The first day they only had a juice machine. Day two, the juice machine and one croissant in a sealed package. I didn't bother to look on day three. days I checked. They only had a juice machine with two juices available. Th

On Expedia it is mentioned that breakfast is provided, however the place doesn't offer water too. It lacks one of the basic facilities. No microwave in the room. I drove all the way from LA as I wanted to stay at a place that serves complementary breakfast. Want someone from Expedia to look into this matter about the facilities that were stated they exist but that are not available.

Should not be allowed to advertise “free breakfast available.”

Only breakfast was not as it was advertised only very sweat cookies.
