The parking lot was not plowed making it nearly impossible to navigate through the hardened snow and ice in such a small space. There were cigarette holes on the only thin blanket. The floors were dirty. My son and I drove home that night in the snow just so we didn't have to stay here. The hotel refuses to answer correspondence from hotels.com regarding a refund. Do not stay here.

I honestly am very disappointed. The staff asked me inappropriate questions when I was checking in and it was disturbing. Additionally for the price of the stay, we had no hot water in our sink and even the cold water that came out was spouting all over the place whenever you turned it on, the ice machine was broken, and also the WiFi was struggling to work. I honestly think I deserve some of my money back.

This was one of the worst motels I have stayed at. They charge a resort fee however there are no amenities at all! Why the resort fee? No pool, hot tub, coffee in rooms, maid service, trash service, or breakfast items. The room was very expensive for such poor quality. The bed was old, flat and lumpy, and the room was so dark with limited lighting, a person would need to bring an extra couple of lamps. The walls are so thin you can hear every noise like the footsteps on the stairs and walking around above. Bad deal!

High rates for dive hotels seem to be the standard in South Tahoe, not just A&A. I don't understand why these places don't make the minimum investments required to make their guests stay worth the higher rates. A&A stay notes: room smelled like smoke, beds not comfortable and on a metal frame that makes a gong sound when accidentally kicked, cigarette burns in the comforter, not particularly clean (especially the shower curtain with mold stains at the base), no soap / shampoo shelf in the shower (ridiculous and disgusting to have to get soap off the floor of the shower), very tight parking and not enough spaces available when hotel is full. I just wish South Tahoe hotels would take some pride in their business. It could all start with one example of a well-run low-end hotel.

I have no idea how this place got all of the great reviews and I will never ever rely on reviews again to make a reservation. Easy check in was the only plus There were ants in the bathroom. The shower head leaked and sprayed onto the floor - no way to stop it. No rug or extra towels provided. Only the cold water worked in the bathroom sink and it sprayed so hard it made a mess. The mattress - I don't even have words to describe. AND, there was no parking. We had to park on the street behind the hotel. Looked like there might be permanent residents there.

They do not even have an official cleaning crew. I slept in a sleeping bag as i didn’t want to be on their dirty sheets.

Only stayed for one night so had no issue but, room really needed to be cleaned. It seemed as though no one had stayed for a while as it was super dusty and shower was not clean. Also, whole toilet seemed as if it was not properly installed as it moved side to side.

Do not waste your money. I paid $200 for two nights and it was awful. The bed was littered with ants.I only stayed one night because of how dirty the room was. When I checked out, the property manager was shocked but told me I needed to inform him to clean the room. Aren’t you supposed have a clean room before your guests arrive? Why should I be doing your job. Go anywhere else even if it means spending a few more bucks. This place is NOT worth it.

Not the type to write reviews, but my room was extremely dirty. Like stains on the wall, huge amounts of dust, and ants in the bathroom. Didn't even want to use shower. Would recommend staying elsewhere.

The room was very dirty. Blood on the bedding. The shower curtain had blood as well along with mold. It had a weard stench as well. We had 3 rooms all together and they were all dirty with mold. I would not recommend to stay here.

I had higher expectations for our stay but unimpressed. Room wasn’t ready when we arrived, so we ran to the store and came back. Room was absolutely freezing when we checked in. Room appeared clean, but sheets not fully tucked in like it was made in a hurry. We had a room with 3 beds. We couldn’t use the room with the third bed because the outlets didn’t work for my husband’s CPAP. The kids ended up double bunking and no one slept in the 3rd bed because the room was so cold. It’s a good thing with the yellow light coming in from the exterior lights. The beds and pillows were hard as a rock. Thankfully, it had hot water and good pressure.

I checked into the property, however, once I got to my room, I couldn't even open the door all the way because the refrigerator was blocking. There was a stain on the bedding that looked like it could have been blood? Broken furniture, no bible. Ripped carpet, NO toilet paper. Was too scared to shower because it was dark in the stall, and towels were on the desk in the bedroom. Then, when I wasn't unable to stay the second night due to unforeseen reasons, the front desk was unable to give any refund. In fact, when Expedia tried to reach them, they had the wrong number on file. When I went to check out, the individual running the front desk did not even come out to greet me. Furthermore, both days, the reception area had a very strong odor. They completely overcharge for this run down hotel. If the owners at least would update so that it could be functional, but it's not. I absolutely DO NOT recommend.

Receptionist was on the phone speaking on speaker phone in a different language while checking me in. Very disrespectful! She never smiled or was at least polite or professional. We arrived almost at 1am and the last things we needed after a long drive was to be treated like she was doing us a favor for checking us in. The room was FILTHY! I took many pictures but they can’t grasp how DIRTY and DISGUSTING it was. I’m not saying it was a bit dirty and I’m picky. I’m talking dirty toilet, sink, floors, even inside the microwave! Please do yourself a favor and never stay here! You’re worthy staying somewhere cleaner and where you are treated with respect.

It was dirty. room heater is either too hot or cold. TV remote don't work. they didn't clean the room at all where I stayed there for 3 nights. lobby is closed in the morning and day time where I can't tell them to clean my room. I need to go get toilet paper, shampoo and tower from lobby in the evening or night time to talk to motel owner.

Our hotel was very dirty and not cleaned properly. The shower head looked like it was cut into the wall by unprofessionals and the shower curtain was very dirty. The bathroom sink was horrible the water pressure was too much. The bathroom was very small and tight. The beds were very uncomfortable and very hard. The floor was very dirty. When we got into our hotel about 30 minutes later a random person had opened our door with another key. She claimed that the attendant at the front desk gave her the key to our room. When we confronted the front desk she said that we went to the wrong room, but if we went to the wrong room the key she gave us wouldn’t have worked in the room we went into. This is very dangerous and very unsafe and unprofessional.

Room was gross and had trash on the floor. It smelled musty and like smoke, even though it was “non smoking”. The people next door I think live there. They were yelling at each other and arguing. The lady working the desk lives in the back room behind the desk. It was a mess and kids stuff was all over. She ignored me initially because she was busy buying something on the computer. I literally walked in the room and walked right back out. I went down the road to a much nicer place that was about the same price.

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. I arrived around 1 AM, and the front desk staff handed me the key, telling me to come back in the morning if I had any issues. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell, so the next morning around 9 AM, after spending one night, I requested a room change. They told me I could come back at noon, but I had a ski ticket and couldn’t afford to waste that time. When I returned to my room at 7 PM, I saw that their only “solution” was opening the WC window—and they even forgot to close it. Additionally, the WC door wouldn’t close completely, making it uncomfortable to use the bathroom. More concerning, the room had no smoke detector, which is a serious safety issue. To make matters worse, the staff showed little concern for my complaints and even suggested that if I was unhappy, I could cancel my reservation. The lack of customer service, poor room conditions, and safety concerns made my stay very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Customer service was amazing. We asked to switch rooms, original room, just was not comfortable didn’t work out for our stay so after one night we have to switch paid the difference not a huge difference with satisfied with the cost and room change. Wish the beds were a little bit more comfortable.

Dirty, seedy, bad front desk service. The first room I got smelled like smoke. I told the front desk person, and she put me into an even worse room. No customer service, no apology. Nothing. Soulless customer service. Would definitely not recommend this hotel.

I loved this property. Me and my son first time in South Lake Tahoe and they where we stayed at just made it much better. Eveything was walking distance. The snowtubing, breakfast , burger spots , tacos places , CVs is right across the street, I loved this place and can’t wait to go back next year I will stay here again .! Thank for much

Extremely dirty and dilapidated rooms. They have limited parking and the motel parking lot is filled with suspicious characters coming and going throughout the day and night. Rooms have strange smells. Baseboards falling apart, dust everywhere. Food and stains on floor and walls. Probably the worst place to stay in the entirety of Tahoe. They do not even have an official cleaning crew. I slept in a sleeping bag as i didn’t want to be on their dirty sheets.

This was one of the worst motels I have stayed at. They charge a resort fee however there are no amenities at all! Why the resort fee? No pool, hot tub, coffee in rooms, maid service, trash service, or breakfast items. The room was very expensive for such poor quality. The bed was old, flat and lumpy, and the room was so dark with limited lighting, a person would need to bring an extra couple of lamps. The walls are so thin you can hear every noise like the footsteps on the stairs and walking around above. Bad deal!

The ice machine hasn't worked in years!. The carpets are gross. They dont care about their customers. There's no one that really cleans the rooms. Your lucky if you get toilet paper and clean towels. Don't pay the desk! ! Use a credit card and an App. If you do stay. There are NO amenities but A dirty old broken BBQ, & Rude lazy shady workers on site! Don't leave anything in your room and leave for the day. Beware!

My stay was deeply disappointing. The room had a powerful, unpleasant odor combining musty and rotten scents, and in the small, dark shower (no light when you close the shower curtain), there was visible mildew in the shower drain area. While the air conditioner functioned, it was so loud, sounding like cards in bicycle spokes next to my bed. It kept me up all night. Finally, the staff showed no interest in providing service or even wanted your business. The lady at the desk treated other guests (and me) as if she just wanted you to leave her alone.
