Muskegon River Inn

I was so pleasantly surprised when I entered my room at the Inn. It was spacious, clean, well supplied, and so quaint!! This old brick building has been beautifully renovated and it made for a fun, most comfortable stay. Michelle checked with me every day and met any needs I may have. There were candies and other treats for the guests. And I felt so secure during my stay. There is a fun saloon across the street and other fun shops, a museum and a beautiful park within close walking distance. I was there for a wedding but if I go back I hope to experience some of the hiking trails in the area.

A hidden gem in a small but active town so close to everything in the area. Walkable options for all meals and drinks. This property is well kept and very clean. The room and the bathroom were top notch...and let's not forget about the strong water pressure in the shower!!! The only small issue I had was the bathroom light motion sensor kept not noticing me or my wife were in the shower and would turn off the light unexpectedly. The homemade chocolates and treats placed out for guests were awesome! This is a perfect example of how hospitality should be done. Wish I had time to stay for more than 1 night.

I have stayed in hotels and vacation rentals all over the country, both with my family and on my own, and the Muskegon River Inn is easily one of the coolest, most unique places I've ever experienced. The Inn has an incredible blend of historic charm and modern design that makes it feel unlike anywhere else. It's right in the heart of downtown Newaygo, so everything is within walking distance. Grab an amazing coffee next door at Heavenflow Coffee Co., enjoy great food nearby, or walk across the street for a game of pool. It has everything you need for a fun, relaxing getaway without ever having to get back in your car. Heavenflow Coffee Co. Muskegon River Inn What surprised me most was how much I fell in love with Newaygo itself. It's a small Michigan town with an amazing vibe, surrounded by rivers, outdoor adventure, and close enough to the Lake Michigan shoreline and dunes for easy day trips. The atmosphere is welcoming, laid back, and unforgettable. If you're looking for another ordinary hotel, this isn't it. If you're looking for an experience you'll remember long after you leave, the Muskegon River Inn is absolutely worth the trip. I'll definitely be back.
