I waited 50 mimutes for the dhuttle at the airport. Then I could not take the shuttle back to the airport because it does not run at 2:30 am.Very disappointed in their shyttle service.

First and foremost, the hotel staff is very nice and hospitable. But the property itself is in dire need of a complete renovation from interior of the rooms and carpeting to the awful white and minimal lighting in the rooms. The airport shuttle also needs to be rethought. The morning run to the airport stops at 11:05am and doesn’t restart until 3:05pm. The same is true about being picked up at the airport. It stops after 11:00 am and doesn’t resume until after 3pm. Sad and perplexing.

Our room was spacious and surprisingly quiet, given that it faced The El Camino, but the shared transportation (to/from the airport) w/ other hotels in/around the area made for a cramped & lengthy transport.

Nice hotel and close to SFO. When I made the reservation i was led to believe that we could park our car there for free while we were on vacation. They only give 1 night free after that there is a charge. Please be aware of this. Also keep in mind there shuttle service does not run all day. Other than that i recommend. Staff is very nice.

I did not like they properties shuttle service.It made multiple stops.only shows up every hour. They used to have a car that just took you to the air and back that was great .now I would recommend a major name hotel for shuttle service or Uber .

Room was clean, amenities include microwave and larger fridge a plus. 2 Queen beds worked out well for 2 persons. Bathroom was reasonably spacious with good supplies of towels. Shampoo, shower gel dispensers were nice touches, so was the lotion moisturizer dispenser. Convenient and availability of free self parking made it easy for me to keep my rented vehicle. The room faces the back away from main road offered a quiet night for rest and sleep. 24hr availability of coffee and water in the lobby was very beneficial, alleviated the need for me to buy bottle water. Great one night stay and good value. Staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. Less than 10min drive from SFO offer covenience and works well for catching early flight. Only minus is being a small hotel with very limited facilities.

Front desk receptionist was friendly and parking was easy. The hotel itself is not in the best shape. Room had a lot of dirty walls with holes, etc. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, the AC/Heater makes a very loud squealing type noise but did help drown out the noise from the busy street my room was facing.

I was very happy with this hotel. Great location, room was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and the parking lot was well lit. I will definitely return for future stays.

The shuttle was supposed to arrive at 9:20 pm to pick up hotel guests from the San Francisco airport. It arrived about 15 minutes late. The front desk and management staff was very kind and helpful but the room didn’t feel very nice. I tried taking a shower in the morning and midway through my shower the shower hose that was already in poor condition burst. When we helped mop the floor from water going everywhere the towel was all brown from the floor being dirty. I would not recommend this place.

This is a run down hotel. Not very clean. Shuttle to airport is like being in a can of sardines. Shuttle service does not belong to the hotel, it is a service they offer though. Not staying here again.

It was a decent hotel. The guy at the front desk was friendly and check-in was quick. But the ac/heating unit in the room was noisier than the airplanes. I had to shut it off so I could sleep. The bed was a little hard for me. But overall it’s a good hotel

Choices of breakfast is limited, even you are not expecting much at a 3 star hotel. At least they got toast, cereals and apples. The apple juice tasted good, though. Rooms at ground floor are extremely close to the streets without barriers, and you have to ensure the windows are firmly locked before you sleep.

Bed was clean and comfortable. Surprised no traffic noise despite being on a busy road. The HVAC was loud when cycling off and on. Staff was excellent. Good choice for a stay near the airport, with free shuttle service.

Room lighting was terrible very hard to see both in the room and in the bathroom otherwise Property was nice. It was convenient to the airport. Another question is you should tell the guest that the shuttle has three other stops after hotel 1550 so they can plan their timing to get through security at the airport and to their gate it was a little tight for us because we didn’t know that otherwise perfect for the San Francisco night before flight stay

In room heater was very loud. Smell of air freshener was overpowering in room, building, and outside. Furnishings were pretty beat-up with lots of blemishes. Not at all close to airport. (Front desk clerk was very polite and helpful.)

Convenient- a short shuttle ride from SFO. Staff on checking in very nice. Rooms are a little dated but clean. A decent place to stay for an overnight before a morning flight. Would use again.

Everything was fine except we wanted to catch the earlier shuttle to the airport and the desk position simply said no and would not even check if it was possible. It was surprising given how friendly the night manager (owner?) when we arrived. As a result we ordered an Uber.

Called night receptionist at 0030 past midnight to ask if I could book the room via Expedia as I had missed my international flight and needed to sleep. He said yes he had availability but book after midnight, which I did. Took $48 Uber to hotel 0045 am and he refused to give me the room until checkin at 3 pm. I am a 70 yr old lady and they took my funds which was non refundable and expected me to return that afternoon. But he offered a” more expensive “ room immediately if I paid more money. PLEASE BEWARE AS THEY PULL STUNTS LIKE THIS AND STEAL YOUR MONEY. Expedia was a non refundable transaction. Remember, I called after midnight and asked to pay the overnight rate, but would only have the room till 11-12 noon. He said yes use Expedia and then left me high and dry at 1:30 in the morning. Shocking customer service.

Like i always say, 1/3 of the hotel experience is the staff, the staff here is excellent. The property is very clean, the breakfast is well prepared, clean and on time.

Amazing customer service from the beginning to the end. The airport shuttle driver in the morning (from Fiji) was super friendly and accommodating. The representatives at the front desk in the morning were both accommodating, helpful and willing to help. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the room is well maintained and clean and the location is perfect. Lots of restaurants, shops and supermarkets around. Great area to walk around too; I felt comfortable walking. I would recommend staying here and will for sure tell my friends. The value is great also!

The room was very clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. The front desk staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. We will stay here again when in need of a convenient airport hotel. Highly recommend Hotel 1550 in San Francisco.

We loved that this is located very near to the airport and you literally drive through the neighborhood and then you are at the airport. The location was great literally right next door was a family home with children that made it very homey. There are places to eat and grocery shop half a mile away. Trader Joe's and Safeway was very near as well as very good restaurants to choose from. The parking lot is one of the best hotel parking lots very easy to access and clean smelling. We chose this hotel just randomly but this hotel will now be a hotel that we stay by choice. Mahalo

Staff at the hotel was nice. Area around the hotel is not the nicest. Proximity to the airport is a plus. Take the shuttle as an Uber sets you back at least $30 one way.

The rooms are clean but the location is very loud, and not particularly safe feeling. All night I heard the street traffic. Would not necessarily recommend although the staff was lovely.

Quick overnight stay between flights. Quiet, clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. In downtown San Bruno close to SFO Airport. Nice change of pace from an airport hotel. I'd stay here again!

It was clean enough but the condition of the hotel worn. The carpet was frayed, there was obvious patching on the door, messed up grout in the elevator tile, etc. Also the breakfast supplies were frozen omelets and pancakes with a sign to microwave them, two types of bread, a couple cereals, yogurt, and a few packaged pastries. Not great.

The rooms were a little worn but clean. It was close to the airport and very easy to use the shuttle. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was perfect!

Nice older hotel. Not in the greatest neighborhood and dated. Breakfast was limited but good. Rooms are dated but well kept and cleaned. Plenty of plugs for devices. A solid B.

It’s a great airport hotel! We’ll priced. Breakfast was very basic oatmeal, toast, apples. But it’s fine for a morning snack on the way to the airport. Lots of fun Asian restaurants nearby. Word of caution the shuttle picks you up first then goes to several other hotels so plan at least 20-30 minutes to airport.

This place was great the staff was very nice and welcoming.The rooms were also very clean and so was the hotel.They had free shuttles that ran every hour so that was very nice and convenient as well.They were available for when we called them and they also had breakfast included as well.Would recommend if you are looking for something easy and convenient.

The room was decent but nothing great. The plus for this hotel is that there is free parking, free shuttle to the airport and free breakfast (even though is just toast and pancakes, there is no egg or meat). The bad is that they DON'T clean your room when they are supposed to. I was there for 4 nights and expected the room to be clean after the second night as there is a sign that said they clean every other day. I had to ask them specifically the next morning to please clean my room as trash has overflow and I have no more clean towels. They did clean the room but didn't restock my toilet paper. I can't stay in a place where I need to beg someone to do there job and clean my room when they are supposed to. If they don't want to clean, then put a sign up and say so, not say they will clean every other day.

Look elsewhere if you need a quiet night's sleep As a light sleeper who needs quiet surroundings to rest, I booked this hotel specifically after reading glowing reviews about how peaceful it was. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. Upon checking in, we quickly dropped our luggage and rushed out to return our rental car. When we returned and requested a room change, the front desk dismissed us, claiming there were no courtyard-facing rooms left. We figured we would just try to tough it out for one night, but the room we were assigned is located on the ground floor facing a massive six-lane main street. The noise was unbearable. On top of that, we couldn't even open the curtains because pedestrians walk right past the window, leaving zero privacy. After just one hour in the room, the relentless traffic noise gave me a severe headache. I went back to the front desk to ask for a room change again, but this time the staff claimed that I should have reported it immediately upon entering the room instead of after "using" it, so they refused to change it. As a result, I spent a sleepless night tormented by passing vehicles. I have never left a negative review or encountered such a disappointing experience before. I will certainly never stay here again.
