SpringHill Suites Los Angeles LAX/Manhattan Beach

My stay was great. My only issues were the elevator and the TV didn't work. The elevator would go out periodically.

One elevator wasn’t working and the room had a musty smell when we got there.

Having only one elevator caused lengthy wait times to come and go from room to outside the hotel. There are two elevators, but one was closed off and out of order. Please fix the 2nd elevator.

Power went out overnight one of the nights we were there other than that it was great

When we arrived, we were put in a room with previous health and safety issues; we believe we found remains of bed bugs on the mattresses. Despite this, the staff and manager handled the situation well and got us a new room as well as a partial refund. I appreciate the help, but would have enjoyed using the amenities such as pool and hot tub but unfortunately missed out on this access due to having to move rooms 3 times within the first night of our stay.

We did find the breakfast offerings much better than most hotels we have stayed in. The staff was very pleasant and efficient. The pool is small and right next to the parking lot, so not too attractive. Beds were very comfy. There could have been lotion available as well as a shower cap. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

The staff was professional and pleasant. The room was nice, and it included a couch for an extra sleeper. The in-room fridge was not very cold, but there was a nice kitchenette area with a sink and counter. The pool was rather small and always crowded, but there were plenty of towels.

All staff were very nice and welcoming. Only issues were one of the two elevators was non operational that weekend and our room was not made after the first night. Parking is $22 per night, but less than others in the area but plenty available spots if needed. Beds were very comfortable. Big bathroom. Breakfast was good. Ready to make waffles, fresh oatmeal, eggs, sausages, breads, cereal, fruit, yogurt, milk and alike. Coffee was great. Will stay again for sure. Wished I stayed here last year.

The staff were very friendly! The room was not great- the hideaway bed had stains. Not very clean floors. Housekeeping skipped our room so we had to call for towels, etc. Breakfast was very good and the fitness room was decent for cardio but not great for weights. Location was perfect for LAX and So-Fi events.

Extra clean suites every time we have stayed here. Decent breakfast spread including nice strong coffee thats included (parking does have a small charge but ample parking). Friendly staff. Convenient location to LAX.

Room was old and dirty. Couch was not firm and made a lot of noise every time someone moved. Dirty carpet.

The rooms are very dingy, the pull out sofa had dark brown stains and food crumbs everywhere, no water pressure, towels smelled like dirty water

I usually like staying here. It’s usually clean and the staff is nice. This last time the towels were dirty & the extra linen had hair all over it. I called the front desk and they were prompt on bringing clean towels and linen, but I was already disgusted. I won’t count them out yet However I need housekeeping to do a lot better.

The hotel is really in need on a good cleaning. The hallway carpets were very dirty and stained and while the rooms appeared tidy, they smell a bit musty. I had to ask to be switched to another room, because the smell of mildew was so bad. The second room was better, but not great. The hotel staff were very helpful, but that did not compensate for the overall condition of the property. Additionally, the fire alarms went off at 3:30 in the morning, waking me up and causing initial concern that there may be an actual fire.

This was my 3rd time staying here & no problems ever other than this stay. One of the two rooms had mold all over the vents if the air conditioning unit & the other room’s bathtub wall patches were terrible & unappealing. We changed both rooms to a second set which was better, I told the lady that checked us in about both rooms but especially the mold to which she had a nonchalant attitude. I told her it’s a major health concern & OSHA wouldn’t like it. Still it didn’t seem to phase her. It was a disappointment.

The room we checked in to was filthy. The carpet, sofa, pull out mattress, even the curtains were dirty! There was a blood stain on the bathroom wall. It really made me question the cleanliness of the sheets and blankets. We were given another room and there was a huge stain on one of the sheets when we pulled the comforter back. It was a tad cleaner than the first room but still looked dirty. Luckily the staff was very understanding and expedia was very helpful and we were able to get our two remaining nights refunded expeditiously. We have stayed at other Springhill Suites and never had issues with the cleanliness of the rooms. Very disappointed in that aspect.

Dirty rooms, no hot water.

The room had a noise in the bathroom wall it was difficult to sleeping, le sofá bed was imposible to sleep, the pull out bed was dirty and the matress was the most uncomfortable, also the mattresses on the beads where super worn out, the greatest thing was the staff, but for a SpringHill chain hotel I would never stay here Again

The hotel is outdated. Wall papers in the bathroom was peeling.

Excellent staff. Lots of room in the suites! Carpet could be replaced. Easy parking and close to Manhattan Beach. Breakfast busy.

Easy to find with numerous shops and restaurants all within 1-2 miles. Clean large rooms. Very friendly staff. I’d recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Was promised a king bed But room did not have king bed Front desk did not help and insisted if was a king Bed Size of suite was smaller Only had 1 tv instead of 2 I stayed at Spring Hill suites in Orlando last year Similar room which has 2 tvs

Likes: the hotel is close to LAX, and many beaches, overall the location is convenient. Dislikes: omg am not sure if all the rooms are like the one we got, needless to say we were disappointed! Our room had ancient amenities; walls are thin you can hear noise from next room. The beds are so uncomfortable, the couch is terrible (filled with stains, they flipped it down so we wouldn't know at 1st glance). Tv is placed at an odd place, at the entrance of the bathroom. Our bathroom racks were completely rusty. The toilet has yellow stain on the side. The air condition was so noisy our little ones couldn't sleep well. The workspace had a lamp that looks like something they grab at goodwill for $2. We had to beg to have linen change and have fresh towel. We tried the free breakfast and had to go get breakfast outside the next morning. Hard to tell this belongs to Marriot!

Enjoyed our stay, the staff was friendly and attentive. Our suite had a strange layout and the couch was at the end of its life and not comfortable at all.

I was disappointed with this hotel overall. We had a fine experience, but would not stay here again. I don’t typically write reviews, but I read reviews so much that I felt I should share my thoughts. The rooms are a bit dated and the full beds (vs Queen) is not ideal for a family of 4. I’m used to a suite having a separate living room area and two TVs in the room. I wouldnt say it was an awful experience but not worth the price paid.

Couldn’t check in the front lady messed up my reservation and charge my credit card twice and said they didn’t my payment When my card was charged already

I stayed here with my kids. The facility was good and the housekeeping staff were amazing. The parking was easy and I feel like all spots were close to the building. The poor rating is because the staff at the front and desk and security were horrible. I was with 2 kids 12 and 13. The room next to us was engaged in really loud sex for hours during the night. It was a group of people. I called the front desk repeatedly with no answer. I went to the front desk and at the front desk was a security guard and front desk reception person. The front desk worker was busy so I asked the security guard for a side conversation and asked if I could talk to him in private and he was reluctant. I was trying to explain the situation without everyone around me hearing that there was a room “having really loud sex and keeping my kids and I up for hours.” He did not want to have a private conversation so I just said it at the front desk. He said he would check it out. I left. The loud sex continued. I went back to the front desk. The security guard had not done anything. I then explained to the front desk worker and security guard again. It was embarrassing. I asked the female front desk worker for a room change. She said no without even looking at availability, just looked at me. They called the room. Of course there was no answer. They said they would take care of it. Then the security guard did go knock on the door. I couldn’t wait to leave the next day.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and accommodating, the food was delicious and fresh, the staff was friendly, helpful, and David was the best. We were there for the celebration of life of my Brother and he was kind and patient with us. Always with a smile and answered all my questions without hesitation. I found my new favorite place.

It is close to where I need to be. The staff is excellent. You can tell the staff is superior as they are the same staff I see every time I stay there. Very responsive to my requests.

Nico was very helpful when checking us in. The property is well-kept and the breakfast was quality. A busy hotel with consistently friendly and helpful staff.

I like that it close to freeway, centrally located, close to shopping center and Dining. The breakfast can be better other than that my family and I enjoyed our stay.

Very convenient location for my plan of stay

This was my favorite area of LA! Less than 2 miles to Manhattan Beach and plenty of restaurants and stores in close proximity

Close enough but still need to have transportation to get to the beach area. Conveniently located near LAX and felt safe staying. Breakfast choices were good. It could be a little cleaner and the furnishings are a little worn down, overall for the price compared to others in the area very good!

We chose this property by looking at the pictures, but didn't realize that the pictures were very deceiving. The hotel was straight out of 1980's...The bathroom was a total disappointment. Location was very far off from the main attractions of the city, you are looking at 45 minutes car drive to any place worth seeing. The parking was cheap, but you end up paying much more in terms of wastage of time. Only benefit was that it was close to the airport, which is 15 minutes away. Not recommended.

We understood that this hotel was near the beach, but it was 3 miles. You definitely need your car.

The facilities were clean and convenient, and the location was close to a shopping center and a lifestyle service center. It was a great place to stay with family, and the location was convenient for transportation.

Check in service was excellent. However, check out not good. Breakfast was terrible. Dirty, no refills when food was out. Waffle machine didn’t work and no personal around for support. It good at all.

The only drawback was the complimentary breakfast was very blant with just eggs and bacon often not refilling empty vessels.

Love the breakfast. Kitchen staff are the best, and they know how to handle the stress. Tip Jar is missing

I had a great stay with my family here. The room was clean and spacious enough for a pack and play. The kids had a blast, especially thanks to the hot tub. The breakfast had a good selection for everyone in my family. Would stay here again.

There were so many people that the breakfast food kept running out. They ran out of waffle mix the second morning we were there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall a good stay!
