Extended Stay America Suites - Orange County - Anaheim Convention Center

We stayed here for a few days for our trip to Disneyland. The property was undergoing renovations, and there was a lot of dust everywhere, and things looked half finished (missing paint/baseboards in the lobby, tiles missing, etc). Our room was decent, and it was very nice with small kids to have a kitchenette. The hotel is about a 20-25 minute walk to Disneyland, or you can use the ART shuttle, which picks up and drops off in the parking lot of the hotel. The breakfast consisted of coffee and pre-packaged muffins. Our first morning, I opened a muffin and it was moldy, so we stayed away after that. Our biggest issue was with parking. Upon check in, Nico at the desk told us we had to pay $10 per night for parking, even though the listing said parking was free. He told us it was an Anaheim rule, and we needed to pay in order to get our parking pass. Things started to seem suspicious when he told us we could only pay in cash, and he started knocking the price down. We eventually paid to avoid our car being towed, and spoke with the manager, Kyle, the next morning, and he assured us parking was free, and told us Nico shouldn’t have charged us. He gave us the cash back, but didn’t seem concerned that his employee was taking money from customers. Overall, you get what you pay for, and this hotel was a cheap option close to the parks. It was fine for sleeping, but don’t expect much out of your stay.

The front desk was super friendly and beyond helpful! We had a minor issue with the tv maintenance was there with in a couple minutes and solved our issue with in a minute ( minor reset of the cable box). Overall I would definitely stay at this hotel again and for the price w/free parking you really can’t beat it.

It was in a good location and close to the ART bus stop. Definitely needs some renovations

19 hour stay. The room was ok. Easy and quick check in and out. A/C blew VERY COLD. Close enough to comfortably walk to Disneyland (though the Toy Story parking lot is closer and customers SHOULD be told this!!). The bathroom door wouldn’t close, the bath tub was VERY slippery when the shower was used, the swimming pool was VERY TINY.

Beware!!! Hotel employee demanded cash from us for parking or he wouldn’t check us in. Parking was supposed to be free and he wanted $25 per day in cash only. We gave him what little cash we had since he would not give us our rooms. It was confirmed to us the next day that this was a scam. The rooms are large and close to Disneyland. The area is not very nice but we just wanted a place to sleep. I would not book here again!

Property was poorly maintained and very dirty. Dropped fruit in elevator left thee overnight. Drawer on room dresser broken and hanging off. Table next to dresser had broken leg. Kitchen in room was worn and tired. Carpet in hallways very dirty, as were all floors I encountered.

“Hot” breakfast is only instant oatmeal. Laundry facilities but no soap vending.

Overall, the room was clean enough. For the price, I wasn't expecting greatness. Towels and bedding were worn, and seemed older. We booked the room for the pool and the kitchenette. When we asked, we were told they don't maintain the pool, so it was closed. Also, there was no coffee maker in the room, as stated in the description. We could request one, but when we asked for cups and utensils they didn't have any available. The 'breakfast' was just some prepackaged muffins and coffee. We stayed for 3 nights and they never emptied our trash or offered new towels.

Enjoy us stay there everything was clean and we enjoyed the pool as well thank you

Close to Disneyland, which was the goal. Big room with kitchenette. Clean. The hotel itself is pretty run down, elevators are questionable, and breakfast is…. Ridiculous. But overall, suited our purpose, so no real complaints.

The good: Ample parking, safe neighborhood, walking distance to restaurants, shops, Disneyland, and House of Blues. Coffee in the lobby every morning. The bad: DIRTY ROOMS!!! Towels still had makeup and hair on them from previous guests. There was hair throughout the entire room on the floor. The refrigerator had to be turned off because it made a loud buzzing noise, and the microwave was hardly functioning. There were no basic amenities available such as a blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, etc. There was a sign in the bathroom saying shampoo available at the front desk but there was never anyone at the front desk to help. I wish I had spent the extra money and stayed at one of the many properties in the area

Where do I begin? First off, I don’t want to speak ill about the young woman working behind the counter as I’m sure the situation was out of her hands, but we checked in at 4:40pm and were told that our room wouldn’t be ready for another hour or so. Around 6pm! Then once in the room, it looked like it had never been cleaned at all. Dirty sink, hair in the drain, stains on the floor, etc. There isn’t even any shampoo in the shower! I am utterly disappointed with this hotel and will never be staying here again.

First they gave me a room and when I arrived the room was dirty, there was trash, the bed was unmade. I went down to reception and they gave me another room. When I went up to find the key, it wouldn't open. I went back down to have them change the key and when I finally got to the room, the bed smelled like urine and the kitchen was dirty.

Floor was sticky, there was a used blanket or pillow case on the shelf, hairs in the bathroom.

3rd floor smelled of pets. Dog urine on floor and wall in lobby. 5-10 min wait for hot water in shower. The place needs a deep clean. We were placed across from the elevator where the walls and door were thin and there was constant noise, especially at 5am both days.

Dirty, smelly, noisy, didn’t feel safe

There were no clean wash cloths or towels on Saturday, so how could we shower for the day?. And there was a putrid sulfur smell coming from the sink. It was the worst experience. I called corporate customer service to complain and i haven't received a call back. I deserve a refund for my troubles

Restrooms were dirty, bad smell to the hallways and rooms . Do not recommend

The hotel was very dirty and smells like smoke and the air conditioning was broken, many people living out of cars in parking lot and hotel hallways dirty…..i will never go back or use the hotel again…photos are not even close to what property really looks like…pool is very dirty and disgusting and no one is cleaning the property

Sink was clogged upon arrival which made the room stick horribly. Phones did not work to contact the lobby. Hallways smelled like pets and cigarettes. Elevator smelled like cigarettes. Beds were very uncomfortable. I quickly booked elsewhere.

AC didn’t work, did not get fixed, did not get a room exchange.

A great location for Disneyland which was the purpose of our stay. Close to transport and walking distance to restaurants. The property felt safe but needs a lot of TLC. Animals allowed so there was a very poor smell in hallways. Trash room was always full and also not a great smell. Toilets blocked up more than once and you had to plunger them yourself. No house keeping done even though advertised as done every 7 days. Had to change towels and bed linen yourself. Very poor water pressure in the shower and had no hot water in the kitchen. The heater did not work in my room. For over half the stay my TV didn’t work either

This hotel was definitely not as described. The showerhead hardly worked. It’s an extended stay so it had stove etc but there was no kind of cooking utensils, or anything at all, like other extended stay hotels.

It was very loud and run down. Staff were great got anything we needed to borrow. It was nice to have a fridhe and microwave in the room but there was no coffee maker. There was a convention so they didnt have any available for use. The "breakfast" was limited to the worst coffee ever, oatmeal, and muffins.

The free continental breakfast was grab and go packaged muffin, breakfast bar or instant oatmeal. Coffee, tea and hot cocoa. No prepared foods. The bed was comfortable but the air conditioner did not work and the linens were stained.

This hotel was very okay. You have to ask for kitchen items, nothing is in the kitchen. Hotel staff was nice, although hard to find carts. No decoration in the room. Good value for the price at 100 a night would not pay more than that.

Shower drain clogged. Had to use bathroom of a different room

The renovation finishes were a little ruff…a pig with lipstick. From far away and in the pictures it doesn’t show all the blemishes, issues, etc. The fridge was really hard to open because the seal on it was broken. It just seemed like everything was really old and it was updated probably as fast they could, without the little details being fixed. We must’ve stayed in the part where people stay full-time/live there… the person right by us had roommates with several people there and they were coming and going, letting the door slam shut at all hours of the night. This was the last-minute pick since we needed to switch our days and the Tropicana was saw that for the days we needed to switch too. We were grateful the area seemed to be somewhat safe inside a couple times, please cruisers driving the parking lot. Also, It was a non-smoking hotel but several times we smelled cigarettes smoke in the hallway and then you’d walk outside and the air was always pungent with weed smell and cigarettes. Overall, it was OK and reconsidered the hotel if needed in a pinch all the stuff for very friendly and helpful.

We went to the front desk twice upon checking in. Once was for the key not working for the room they assigned, then when they gave us the new key and sent us to a different room, that room was already occupied. Third time is a charm, however as we were walking to our room, we passed by a door that had a note from the Sheriff telling them to vacate the property. The lobby was clean but after stepping into the elevator and down the hallways, it looked like a completely different hotel. The floors were dirty and it looked unkept. I will not be staying here again.

The front desk was very nice and helpful. Very courteous and the place is immaculate.

The staff at the front desk were Amazing and it was a fast check in. Loved that it had a little kitchen to cook. Also loved that they accept dogs.

Very disrespectful front desk. They don’t answer the phone. I had recently had surgery needed pillows and I couldn’t get a hold of anyone. The next morning the front desk girl was rude not around and ended up having a screaming match with my boyfriend. Very unprofessional.

Loved the fast and easy check-in. Staff was super nice and friendly. Location is perfect and easy to access the beach

Worst hotel experience ever. After walking back from Disneyland on very cold night our room heater wasn’t working. Call front desk, rings endlessly. Call again a little later; still no answer. Go down to lobby for extra blankets and pillows. We were not drunk or inebriated. Politely tell front desk woman we were a bit frustrated at no answer or callback. Boom. She explodes that she was busy. We told her our heater wasn’t working, and if they couldn’t fix we just want 3 pillows and a blanket. She sniped she would only give us 2 pillows. The rudeness rose as she shouted "what do you expect me to do, call maintenance?" - to which we responded "YES!". My wife and I walk outside (without pillows or blankets) to cool off. Re-entered through side entrance to avert more confrontation. Wife slept in WINTER JACKET, I use towels as blankets. Next morning cleaning lady barges into room unannounced. We check out, go to front desk, ask for manager to discuss incident. Conveniently, manager is busy for next half-hour. We split, exasperated and furious. I ask Hotels.com for refund, the hotel replies "No" without explanation. I challenge them to pull lobby camera footage and room maintenance records. Nothing. No explanation. No apology. Trust us: Pay a few more bucks for far better/cleaner accommodations and good CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't be fooled by whatever BS response they post here ("We're sorry about your experience. We really care about our guests, bla bla." They don't care one iota.

Great location near Disney and other local business!

Today there was a water outage from 9-3 no notice just the night before. Some homeless wandering in the parking lot and people live there with dogs some are quite big so when they bark is quite loud. About 15-20 min walk to Disney

Very convenient to get to the Disney parks either by walking or using the number eight bus that takes you right into the parking lot of the hotel at stop number seven. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had accidentally left my purse with my belongings inside the hotel. When I checked out on a Saturday, I called on Monday and they were able to locate my purse and get it shipped to me out of state. I am so thankful for them being able to do this. Thank you Mo for all of your help!

This place is dated and musty, but if you need a cheap spot to sleep that is walkable to Disneyland, it will do. The staff was friendly, but I wouldn’t plan on extending your stay at the extended stay…

Right by the Toy Story parking lot. Great if you want to hang out in the room during the hot hours-peak park hours.

No breakfast should not say breakfast included more like snacks

The rooms are spacious with A/C and clean. Located closley to lots of restaurants and other activities. You can request soap, shampoo and towels much like other hotels. Unfortunately you also have to request basic kitchen items like pots pans utensils plates. I requested these items and never received them. The complimentary breakfast is also a joke. They only seem to provide coffee. I got up early expecting some options such as cereals or oatmeal but that wasnt the case.

Horrible service! My bed had blood/ body fluid on the sheets and the front desk told me to wait till the morning to complain, didn’t even offer new sheets. Neighbors doing drugs, random people walking up to the doors if i could I’d give it 0 stars

After the check-in, I was disappointed to find that I was given a dirty room. There was trash on the floor, the restroom was dirty, and the beds were undone. I had to go down and ask for another room, which was not exactly what I was looking forward to after a 16-hour flight. Although the second room was cleaned, it was not thoroughly clean. It seems like the maid was lazy as there was gross dust, socks, and lipsticks from other guests under the beds. I am not sure when the last time they cleaned was. I didn't know that daily cleaning was not done when I booked. This experience has made me decide that I will never stay at an ESA again. Additionally, the breakfast was a disappointment as it turned out to be only coffee and a granola bar. This was quite misleading. Furthermore, the luggage carts at the hotel do not work properly as they have fixed wheels. A cart should have at least 2 free-moving wheels to steer properly. When was the last time you saw a car with 4 fixed wheels? This was probably one of the worst stays I have ever had. Hadn't I paid in full in advance and other hotels had availability, I would have moved out as soon as possible. The only positive aspect was that the AC worked great, and its closeness to the parks.

We put this hotel because it was the most affordable in relative proximity to Disney. I think we got the value that we pay for, but some of the aspects were a little disappointing. For instance, the grab and go breakfast consisted of cold, chocolate muffins, and granola bars. It served its purpose but certainly could improve on a few items.

No in room coffee, but website says "coffee and tea available in lobby". I feel that claim to be false and/or misleading. Apparently that is only during breakfast hours. Breakfast was instant oatmeal with hot water, coffee and tea.... That's it. Basically nonexistent, not even what I consider a "continental breakfast". Should be embarrassed to say "free grab & go breakfast" on their web page. There are a few other reasons why I won't ever stay here again, but that's the bottom line.. I'd rather pay an extra $20-$30 for something else. Finding better won't be hard, this place really set the bar low.

The “breakfast” is literally just coffee and store bought muffins. I was expecting something better. The bed was horrible, I couldnt sleep the first night from my back hurting so much. Water pressure was decent and room was actually pretty clean. No complaints there. It is very conveniently located and is pretty walkable. Staff was nice.

Advertised as having breakfast, when we arrived we were told it was grab and go , muffins,oatmeal,granola,yogurt and coffee we were fine with that however when we went down at 7:30am there was nothing but coffee and 3 muffins

I booked the room based on free parking and breakfast.. parking was free but the breakfast was just coffee and a muffin along with packet of oatmeal..this is not what someone expect when stated free breakfast.. no juice nor water avaiable
