Extended Stay America Suites - Tucson - Grant Road

Bare bones hotel, good for over night stop, but not for extended stays. Very minimal amenities. No outside seating, breakfast was coffee and prepackaged muffins or granola. Staff was very friendly. NOTE: The State of Arizona uses hotel as temporary housing for those on assistance, who have lost their rentals or are evicted. Not a vacation hotel. Booked our stay because of its proximity to the hospital. Would not recommend if your vacationing.

They were able to give us a first floor room with a handicap parking just right in front of it! My mom was able to get right to the room without any strain. Loved how there was a little kitchen. It made the room a bit homey. The bed was great. I was able to sleep most of the night! Will reserve again in the future.

I did not like that the room had no USB ports to recharge electronics. There were two wall plugs to accept a charger, but nothing to just use a USB, an amenity I have found in all my recent hotel rooms. Since this hotel is not really for the one-night traveler, persons with longer stays may bring more charging options, but it would still be nice to have the option,

The room was located on the back side of the building. It was very quiet, which I needed more than a view. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Room was clean. Furniture had some wear. No carpet, so no pet smells. I'm disabled and asked for either a first floor room or needed an elevator. They have an elevator. Overall, good value.

Room was ok, slept ok, but my standards are easy. Army vet so anything above a fart sack in the ground is ok. WiFi for something that may stream is 6 bucks, free version well you get what ya pay for. Grab and Go Breakfast total fail - coffee and hot water WTH. You wanna be t chemical I guess that meets grab and go but come on. Don't expect anything and you will not be disappointed or spend a couple extra bucks and go elsewhere, which is what I will be doing.

Nice basic hotel unit. Was fairly roomy inside. Plenty of parking, and in a reasonable neighborhood. Everything worked inside. Would stay here again.

Great place to stay, only complaint is make sure you have a wall charger for your USB.

I needed to stay here one night as I lost power. It was comfortable, but I went home the next day with bed bug bites. I would never stay here again.

The property was very unkempt. There were people hanging around and smoking. The room smelled like old cooking oil. The carpet and walls looked dirty and all the towels smelled like old cooking oil.

We stayed in a doggie room. the floor was stickie and dirty, the chair had a sticky stain, the toilet had a ring around it and the bed looked disheveled and almost used. I would NOT stay there again. The night clerk that checked us in was great however.

So, it was a low cost location, which still worked for the night. When first entering the room, it smelled like mold. They said at the desk that they didnt have any other rooms available for the night, so, I stayed. Overall, it was an ok room for the size. Seemed to be wiped down mostly, but, two things happened: 1) when I woke up, my chin was swollen from a bug bite. And after checking elsewhere, i found a few bites. That usually means one thingbin a hotel... thankfully, i didnt leave any bags on the ground, but i will still be treating them like there is an investation. 2) there was a dead roach in the bathroom. It was clearly squished, but not cleaned up. I did inform the front desk about my swollen chin and said they should probably treat the room. Eill not be staying there ever again, though.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The carpets were wet from just being clean. Cigarette burns all over the sink and bathtub. The smell was almost too much to bare.

Properly looked clean from the street but was dirty, felt unsafe and smelled of marjuana. The room was filthy, carpet was black, smelled horrible, beds hard & uncomfortable. Once the sun was out and the windows were opened the walls were filthy.

The carpets where dirty, they had stains that look unpleasant. Found roaches in the shower, kitchen and under the beds, told the staff while checking out and the response was “thanks for letting us know” not even a sorry

Didn't feel clean, the hotel said they offered breakfast but it was just coffee and a cupcake. The asked for a USA adresss and we didnt have any since we were tourists. Didn't clean the room when we left to go to mount lemmon. Lights didn't work properly. We called 10 times in advance to tell them we would arrive late, since the email said we needed to contact them, and didn't respond once. We checked out a day early because the room was pretty bad. The carpet was dirty, the room was stinky.

The room had not been cleaned! We were given a room that someone had just vacated. Bed dirty garbage around toes in tub. Besides that the furnishings were old and outdated. We asked for a refund and was given it.

Excellent value hotel. Great location just a short drive from downtown, the national parks, and other Tucson attractions. my only complaint is that they don't off a full breakfast. They offfer coffee, oatmeal, and muffins. however, there is an IHOP across the street, so we ended uo going there.Overall, comfy beds and great stay.

At check-in, they tell you that there’s no smoking policy within 100 feet of the building yet as we were walking into the office there were people standing out on the curb in front of the office door smoking. We had to walk past Cigarettes smoke to get into the office. The room was OK But the bed was very springy and very uncomfortable to sleep in. We were in a room with a queen size bed with kitchenette. If you need dishes brought to the room they tell you to contact the front desk. The walls are very thin. and we could hear the people talking at 4 o’clock in the morning next-door to us. It is a three-story building and we were on the third floor, but faced the main road and could hear a lot of traffic. The front desk called us in the evening and left a message, telling us to let them know if we needed anything. I’ve never had an office call later on in the evening asking if there was anything that we needed. The staff was friendly and they do offer coffee in the morning as well as a Continental grab and go packaged breakfast. We only stayed for one night, but that is probably all I would’ve been able to handle of that bed. My suggestion would be for the hotel to upgrade their beds..

It did the job, but unfortunately the beds were rock solid and the shower needed some good draino.

Our room was right by the road and nearly every hour during the night we heard sirens. The next day we realized we were up the road from a hospital. So for someone who needs sleep this location can be exhausting.

Overall the stay was nice, the only issue we had was the bed was not comfortable at all, it was hard.

When i first checked in, the lady was very nice but today when we checked out the other front desk lady was very rude and rushing us out of the hotel. We couldn't even get things situated. I was not very happy. I asked for late check out at 12 and they were knocking on my door at 1115 am telling me to check out. Not a happy camper..

The front desk was of very well service and management

I got to the hotel at 9pm for checkin and the system was down. I had to wait 50 min for it to be fixed to get my room.

EXcellent staff

My stay started great but didn’t end great. We talked to the front desk about staying longer because a family member was dying. They agreed to give us the double room for a week. We thought everything was set up that night. We were told in the morning just come to change keys so you can get a new room rate that we negotiated. The next morning when my husband went to change keys the front desk person said we don’t have double rooms available anymore and moved him to a queen room. I was at the hospital when this happened. I told him we had to have double beds. So he checked out and we found another hotel. It was upsetting that we were not given what we were initially promised and it was a traumatic situation with a family member dying and the LAST thing we needed on our plate was hotel problems. Also my husband accidentally left two items a pair of pajamas hanging on the bathroom door and a soap and soap dish box. I went back to retrieve them a day later and they threw them away. I thought hotels kept stuff for at least 72 hours. Needless to say with all these hotels chains Extended Stays will not be our next first choice…

The staff was rude the desk lady was absolutely rude was unwilling to work with me and and I've been a prior customer before for close to months on end

All the staff has been great. The girl that works 2pm -10pm was so nice and helpful

It’s been two weeks and I haven’t gone my deposit back. They charge me for it and they say they are still working on it after two weeks.

Convenient location for Tucson Medical Center patients & family

Location was convenient, room was clean, price was right. It’s where I stay when I need an extended stay in East Tucson.

We had to go through a pretty rough and homeless area to get to this point. It was safe but had planned on walking to the nearby roadhouse theatre that evening and that was quickly a no. Our room was right by the road and nearly every hour during the night we heard sirens. The next day we realized we were up the road from a hospital. So for someone who needs sleep this location can be exhausting.

I’ve been to one other extended stay (in Phoenix area) and it was impeccable with a nice welcoming lobby. This place was in obvious need of repair. The lobby was a tiny room which required a phone call to enter after hours. There was what seemed to be drug use in the area/parking lot. I could not tell if they were residents/guests or homeless individuals from the neighborhood. The bed was comfortable enough, though it only had two pillows. The sheets seemed clean. There were plenty of towels and soap. The kitchen was adequate, though with old and cosmetically damaged appliances (did not use the stove to see if it worked). The carpet was filthy/stained in many areas. I could not walk on it barefoot. AC worked, blackout curtains adequate. Rooms to outside walkway like a motel. I was on second floor. Grab and go breakfast minimal with no real milk/creamer. IHOP right across the street Very convenient to TMC (two blocks away), which is why I chose this place.

There were people who clearly weren’t staying at the hotel walking around the hallways at night, which didn’t feel safe. The air conditioner was so loud that we weren’t able to sleep.

Front desk was polite and helpful. The room didn't have many outlets, no hair dryer, and the shower was dirty..there was still a used bar of soap in it. The beds were firm, but comfortable. No breakfast only coffee, packaged muffins and cereal bars.

I have stayed here before it says they have breakfast. But the girl at the lobbysaid all they have is coffee or hot check-in counter said

We booked the place for free breakfast. They had nothing . Coffee was there with no regular cream . I drink coffee with no sugar They had vanilla flavored sweet coffe whitener. They offered us oatmeal packet with no milk False advertising. The service desk said they were waiting for shipment .

Nice staff, kept up good outside, breakfast only consisted of muffin, coffee [no decaff], oatmeal, & fruit bar. Toilets don't have fans. If you wanted to take out the trash, you had to take it all the way out to the dumpster and throw it over the gates after looking through the crack in gate to see if you would hit the trash bin when you threw it over.
