helpful staff, safe, the swimming pool temperature must be higher

The staff and the breakfast were excellent! I wish I knew that the pool would be out of order. We were able to use the pool in the hotel across the parking lot, but their hot tub was out of order. Very disappointing.

We specifically chose this hotel so our kids could use the pool. We did not know until arriving that the pool was out of service.

Pool not functional/under construction

I was told that the pool was open and it wasn’t so I had to travel to another hotel just so I could take my daughter swimming. It was so inconvenient and depressing

The manager Ciara, the kitchen staff and the evening housekeeping/ maintenance crew were great They took care of our needs. The day shift housekeeping staff barely spoke English if any and didn’t do anything we asked like give us towels , take trash And dirty towels from room. The whole day would pass and the evening crew would have to get it for us. The front desk staff with exception of Ciara had NO customer service skills at all. They checked you in by telling you to “fill out this paper”, “ I need your ID”, there would be no other communication as We checked in and I had to ask about charges because no explanation was offered and when we checked out the young lady at desk refused to give me a receipt for my stay she told me “ you can get it from the people you booked through “ even though I asked her to give it to me and that I have never had a receipt come from the third party company. She still refused. We made the best of our stay, pool was ice cold so couldn’t enjoy that and we won’t be staying here again but the staff that did help us is the reason I rated it the way that I did because I didn’t want the few negatives to over shadow the staff that were great and did a wonderful job helping us but this comment is for feedback purposes so maybe when others come there can be a few changes made to make the overall experience great for everyone!

We stayed 4 nights and were always comfortable. Breakfast was what you would expect for a hotel continental breakfast and they kept it stocked nicely. It’s a new hotel and so the pool area / laundry facilities were still being worked on, so unavailable. I believe it’ll open in a few weeks but everything was clearly communicated upon check in. No issues and we will definitely check them out in the future when we come back to the area!

It was noises during the night when I was sleeping and a lot bumping noise. This morning, I went to the Fitness Center, and a lady let her three kids into the Fitness Center The kids were on the machines and an unsafe environment. At 9:35am, the oldest kid was on the treadmill and slipped off the treadmill and hurt his knee. The kids were in the way and did not make my workout pleasant at all. I would suggest that you take a look at video camera from 9:30 -9:40 to see the kid fall off the treadmill. Also, what is the policy with kids being in the Fitness Center? This was unsafe and lot of risk and potential negligence. I will calling the corporate office to report the unsafe incident and requesting my refund.

Positives- very clean throughout, very friendly front desk staff, and good shopping and eating spots within a few blocks. Negatives-Although not crowded at all Elevators were extremely slow!! Pool not operating, keycard doesn't work on side entry doors so have to use the front entrance or have someone come down and let you in (informed that someone was working on it but never got fixed for the two nights we stayed). Breakfast was good but very very slow. I am not sure if it was just understaffed or a tactic to save on food but food came out in small portions and would take a very long time to get replenished so alot of guest would be waiting around or settle for very little or nothing. Perhaps the worst part was the wait for the service desk as there were several guest having issues including us. We booked through a third party and prepaid. When we got there they said they just need a card for incidentals. We used my boyfriend card for the $50 hold and unfortunately they charged the 50 dollars PLUS the total of two nights. Once he realized this he informed them. Crazy enough we have since checked out and it is still not refunded back to him. Sadly other guest overheard the situation and informed us that the exact same thing was going on with them with the double charges (which we all felt was really sketch). Aside from that I would recommend this hotel off the location and cleanliness, BUT would definitely be a bit more aware of the inconveniences

Arrived at 11:00pm after driving 12 hrs. Floor at front desk was soaking wet like something spilled. I was expected to stand in it while checking in. Property looked nice and clean until I get to my room and it smelled terrible. Seemed to be coming from the AC unit it was awfu, possible urine and mildew smell, room 424. Room & sheets felt sticky bc ac was off. It was late I was tired and suffered through it.

When my party and I arrived on 8/6 my room 422 didn’t have any toilet paper and there was hair and pillow cases with black spots that look like it was mold. I can send pictures. Due to our turn around time there wasn’t a manager on duty we left early that morning. Checking back in on 8/8 I was in room 218. There were no large towels. The night desk clerk had to bring towels down to our rooms. The cleanliness was better, no wild or other parties hair. Disappointing in the IHG quality.

Property appeared new and clean. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and kept fresh.

The property is located in a convenient location, which is close to McDonald's and Walmart. I traveled with the elderly and kids. I went to the hotel at 9 am to ask if I could drop off my luggage, and the receptionist told me no. Then I asked if I could have an early check-in option, and they told me they need to charge me $50 per room. We ended up sleeping at the hotel lobby till 3 pm. When I checked in, the front lady told me that the room was ready earlier and they should give us the room earlier without paying extra. This was horrible. About the room, lots of things were broken, the closet door made a horrible sound while closing, and hard to close. The bottom of the toilet was leaking, which produceda bad smell, and water came out while flushing toilet. The toilet floor was dirty. The bathroom door cannot close properly, and has to be pushed very hard to force to close. The bathtub, shower head, and the bottom outlet will have water coming out at the same time, which needs to be fixed. We asked a few times to fix the bottom of the toilet before they came to fix the problem. After that they fixed toilet, no one came to clean the room for two days even I requested them to come to clean daily. On the third day, I asked the receptionist again, and they told me I have to request that. I told her that I did. I end up seeing a cleaning lady on my floor that morning and asked her to clean up my room, she told me no English and I use my body language to ask clean.

We checked into the property got to our room the bathroom shower had mold in the ceiling talked to the young lady at the desk and she explained she couldn’t move us due to the bad storm we were having which I understood but then the next day talked to the manager and she moved us later that day into a room that the front door didn’t lock we had to pull the latch out which was a security risk so I get ready to check out I ask the young lady for the bill there was no type of compensation for all the inconveniences all we got was we sorry for the inconvenience which I thought was not the way to treat a guest who is paying to stay at your establishment

We had an excellent stay. The property was neat, clean, and accommodating. We will stay here again.

The hotel was great. Bri at the front desk was very nice and friendly. And the overnight maintenance/cleaning guy David kept the hotel so clean. Our room was also very clean and smelled great. Breakfast was very good and the hotel was quiet. I also loved that if you forgot something like a hairbrush or toothpaste, they’d give you a complimentary one. I also loved that our King Suite room had a comfortable bed, a lounge chair, a desk with a chair, drawers for clothes/luggage, a step in shower, an ironing board, and the ability to watch Metflix/Pracock/etc on the TV with your phone. I also loved they had a water station to refill your cup/water bottle by the gym and that we were both given a water bottle and a snack upon arriving. We will definitely be staying at this hotel every time we visit Tinley Park now.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean room and public areas. Breakfast options were plentiful. Only downsize was the walls are to thin. Could hear doors opening, people talking, etc.

My stay was ok. I enjoyed the breakfast choices but it was cold. I like hot food. I also like firm pillows and couldn't get comfortable. I also like it cold in the room so I can sleep and the unit like it was freezing up on 70.

Nice clean hotel. Only problem was noise coming from the hall and an adjacent room in the middle of the night.

We stayed one night after the Chicago Auto Show. It was only about 15 mins from downtown Chicago and convenient off the interstate. Property was very clean and had updated smart TV and tech in room (USB plugs, etc.) Plenty of hot water and pressure and bedding was clean and comfy. Breakfast was not bad at all for free continental. Bisquit's and gravy was really good, oatmeal, sauage, selection of cereals (a bit light on fruit). Staff at check-in was very pleasant. There were several restaurants and shopping just 3 - 5 minutes away. Area was quiet and safe. I woudl stay here again.

The hotel was pretty clean and the room was beautiful and very spacious. The lady at the front desk had a nasty attitude, it's like she did not want to be there. This was the lady working the morning shift and her shift ended at about 4pm. The room we had, beautiful as it was, had the most ridiculous shower I have ever seen. Water pressure was phenomenal, but it had no shower door, just a cloth and this means you cannot really enjoy your shower cause all the water is ending up outside the shower and all over bathroom floor. We stayed here for 2 days and 3 nights and room service did not come to.our room at all. We had to go looking for towels. But it served it's purpose.

Mixed review because the service and staff were nice. However, I only got 2 hrs of sleep because i had loud music on one side and loud TV on the other until around 4 am. Walls are so thin!! Hotel newer just disappointed.

The staff was exceptional. They were professional, courteous, friendly and helpful. From the receptionists to the breakfast staff to the housekeepers.

We had a terrible experience with the staff of this hotel, we had an amazon package delivered at front desk before our arrival, when we arrived and asked for it, they were not able to find it, after checking-in I received a call saying that the owner of the hotel received the package, opened it and kept it in his office locked. I consider this a tremendous security concern and specially how the situation was handled. 1. When they were not able to find it, they asked what the package contained? (It is a brown amz box) 2. When I received the call, they did not apologize, the girl actually laughed loudly saying that it had been a mistake and the owner opened it, like if it was a game, the apology was "sorry, he opened it and it is now locked, oops" 3. The lady at front desk excuse was that the owner is not trained to receive packages and assumed it was him, what? You do not need training, it is common sense, besides the amazon delivery guy asked for a signature on the package which had the exact name, not the name of the hotel 4. They mentioned that I was going to be able to talk to the owner next day to receive an apology, guess what the apology was? "Honest mistake" 5. Not only he opened the big box (amz box), there were 2 boxes inside that did not have the secured tape, they just said it was no big deal 6. The owner (who opened the packages) did not show, they sent the General Manager instead who was

The front desk employee was rude and unhelpful. I asked to speak to a manager she said the manager was not available. I was told she was at the hair salon. I asked that she be called so I could discuss the issues we were having. She said she couldn’t do that. I asked for the manager to call me and I never heard from her. I have never had so much trouble checking into a hotel and I have traveled for business/pleasure for over 50+years. We left the property and went to different hotel chain where we had a wonderful experience. There is no reason to have a rude and unhelpful employee and such unresponsive management. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again.

Staff double charged me for my stay, front desk phone almost unattended, limited assistance or knowledge by staff to resolve issues.

Went to check in and our room was given away. The check in guy said he could give me 2 rooms next to each other so my child could stay all by herself. I let him know thay was unacceptable and not safe. I booked a suite and that is what I should be given.

I am very upset that they charged me for the room twice leaving my account in the negative because I have to wait 3-5 days for the money to be refunded to me. This will also cost me overdraft fees. I originally stayed because it’s a new establishment and was affordable.

We had a very easy check in/check out. Chris was very kind and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, rooms clean, good parking and offered a great breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Easy access to interstate and close to Chicago

Newer hotel. Was off the highway a little bit and the area around it felt unsafe but immediate area around the hotel seemed ok as it was tucked away by the highway.

Very quiet hotel, newer and in great condition. Staff was friendly. We headed to breakfast near the end, and most of the food was gone. The food that was available was good. The area is not near anything fun, but was conveniently located.

Property to convenient to many dining options and quick access to the highway.

I liked the location of the hotel! We were in town for a fball tournament and it wasn’t far to the park we played at and there were plenty of shopping and dining options in close proximity as well! A new casino opened nearby as well and that gave us a fun night of entertainment! Would stay here again!

The staff serving breakfast didnt fill anything.

The room was clean, and the staff was kind. The issue I had was the breakfast. The hot cereal looked like it had been there for a while, and there were ants in the juice. I saw the staff working hard to replenish everything, the staff was very nice.

Rooms were modern & clean, with quite comfortable beds. The showers were super nice, with glass doors instead of shower curtains. The breakfast options were pretty good, though by 9:30am on Sunday morning they were already out of several things (oatmeal, sausages, etc.), though breakfast was served until 10. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Pool is closed for maintenance Saturday and Sunday. Wall between my room and next door neighbor is so thin you can hear every word they are saying; I don't like that at all. Sausage labeled as Turkey when it turned out to be Pork; not cool at all. Fruits only green apples !! Otherwise the rest of the breakfast was good. Was asked to fill and sign a 2-paper form; never had that before. Exercise room had a water cooler, but no cups !!!

The hotel was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fresh, hot, and wide selection. The desk clerk, Kriss, went above and beyond to make our stay perfect!!

We loved the breakfast and how comfortable our room was

Very clean, very friendly and accommodating staff, comfortable bed, and I really liked how there is a refrigerator in the room. The only downside was that the water in the shower was not hot enough for me (I enjoy SUPER hot water LOL). The free breakfast was amazing! Lots of great offerings for different diet types - and I really loved the make your own waffle station. While I did not get to use the pool or fitness center, both areas were clean and well maintained. It was a busy weekend and yet the staff remained efficient and very friendly.

Stayed in King Suite with kids for the weekend, room was clean and large. Shower doors are incredibly hard to open and close; it is very easy to slip or fall when trying to get in and out of the shower. The hotel seemed to be pretty full, with that being said: There was little to no attention to having stocked towels in the pool area, despite two staff members walking through two seperate times and one request from our party. We didn’t grab one immediately as we walked in and one family alone took every single towel that was left. It was not fun having two shivering kids and myself running through the halls to get back to our room (without any towels). Then there was breakfast. We had strict schedules to meet (the reason for our travel) and breakfast was never ready on time (15 or so minutes late) which is a bummer when I booked this hotel because of their advertised breakfasts. When we attempted to grab something just “to go” so we didn’t have to stop for fast food, yet again a whole family walked through and took every item. I am not kidding. One mom of the family stood guard at the waffle maker just making waffles for her family for at least 20 minutes so we couldn’t even make a quick waffle to go. I seriously hate complaining, but it was pretty obvious what was happening and staff did not help at all to accommodate my family or the four other families that had to leave without breakfast. Very clear staff is unable to accommodate when they book a lot of families.
