That the pool looked kinda greenish. Wasn't sure if it was safe for my kids and I to swim. Other than that everything was ok.

Plenty of parking and no airport noise. Would stay here again. Great price.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed ! The elevator has holes on the floor . Not safe ! Burned furniture, not clean , stained tub !!

Don't expect much, pool is not opened for use by guests. Lots of malfunctioning equipment, our door lock stopped working, key cards not working, roof started leaking, and toilet flooded and taps have terrible pressure. Staff is friendly but can't do much about the condition of the place.

Dirty property, cigarette butts and trash all around grounds, in the swimming pool. Last minute $20 charge to get into the room for 20 minutes before the 3 PM check-in. nonfunctioning sink in room that when told about this at checkout, staff seemed not to care. Cigarette burns on linens—staff replied “Yeah, that happens here”.

Absolutely no amenities; not even tissue. The door did not shut appropriately; like it had been broken into. Staff busy smoking outside the door. Very disappointed!

Pool outside was full of trash (unsure if actually open), granted not my type of swimming weather but we just came from another hotel with outdoor pool and everyone was swimming already. Its just an overall "OK" area, but wouldn't walk to the gas station at night with my kids.

We checked in Friday evening at 6. There was 1 person and she was struggling. She said it was her third day on the job and no one else was there to help her. It took 40 minutes to check in. The property shows very well when you arrive. The stairwell to the 2nd floor was clear, however the area when it connected to the floor was rusted and the was curled and a tripping hazard. The pool area was very nice, clean, well attended, nice furniture for seating. The room was dated, grout was black in tub area, went to call about the tv and the phone didn't work, curtain was about 3 inches shy of covering the entire window. Lastly our keys expired every night and had to be renewed each day- it was a pain.

The property maintenance is lower than fair.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. Not clean at all, trash all over the stair well areas and around the trash cans. No hot water, people live in these hotels therefore the smell coming from the room next to us was disgusting. Dogs barking from the room next door, and it was terrible to sleep in

No maid service our entire stay. Large cockroach in room. I'll fitting door with large gap at the bottom meant insects and who knows what else could enter room.

Blood on my sheets, hairs and disgusting things all over the place. Dirty, weird people around. It was disgusting

I reserved a room for non smoking. I get there and all they had was smoking. I get into the room and it smelled so bad. There was not garbage can in room. The tub was nasty. The bedding and pillows smelled like cigarettes. I couldn't sleep in this room.

The room had mold in the bathroom on the ceiling and in shower. Floor was sticky. Smelled ok. Several dining/bars/convenience stores within walking distance

Beyond terrible. Bed bugs, roaches. Stay away

My experience was pretty bad, room smelled so bad of cigarette smoke it made my clothes stink. Shower curtain smelled like mildew, bugs…it was bad.

When i first walked into my room and kayed on the bed.. the sheets were sticky on both beds. . Almost as if someone already laid on the beds and pillows and instead of changing the sheets...dirty sheets were left on the bed for a new customer to find. I had to take all the sheets off and pillow cases myself...take yhem down stairs and get clean sheets and pillow cases..and put them back on the mattresses myself. Other than that, stay was good, custermer service was good. Cleaniness could of been a lot better

TV was on but screen was off. I could only hear the TV but was nothing was visible

First off, the staff was very nice and helpful. My rating is on first the matterss that hasn’t been changed since Motel 6 was $6-. Horrible! Second: the garage truck came at 4:00am to empty the large dumpster. Insane

Roach/waterbugs found in room. As hot as it was in 110 degree temperatures the AC was on 60 and high but still anything barely came out. I had to stand directly in front of it to feel anything and to cool off. Front door to room was difficult to open, like someone broke the door handle or it was jammed

The bed was awful, the bathroom door would not close, the front door was warped. There were barking dogs throughout the night. The staff rolled the little gray dumpsters outside our door numerous times in throughout the night. There were sirens in the immediate area as well as talking in the parking lot after midnight.

The area was safe for me and my girlfriend, but the door for our room was falling apart and the bath tub had cigarette burns all over. Along with that the shower faucet was hanging off the wall when we both went in to shower. Not to mention the bottom of our bed was also torn up and we didn’t even notice it till we were about to leave.

The door to my room 145 needed to be replaced parts of the door was weak.

Room was fairly clean but no trash can, tv had dark screen, no shampoo, loose bathroom door with hole, stain on tub & shower walls. Room # 333

They need to implement quite time specially after midnight. At times it was a bit too noisy.

Yeah, I know. It's a Motel 6, so my expectations are pretty low. But I've been to decent ones, and I've been to some sketchy ones. The neighborhood around here is okay - it's near a college town, but not quite walking distance to the U district. The bed was a bit lumpy, The sink and shower heads were wonky, and the towels are very small. The TV had burn spots, but the worst of it was the heater blew cold air only. So it got quite chilly that first night. Next day I told them about the lack of heat and they put me in another room. Bed was a little better, and there was heat. So that was a plus. I may still stay at a Motel 6, but probably not this one again. Oh well...

The tv did not work

Got there 20 mins after check-in time , room wasn’t ready until an hour later . We just got off the road for 10 hours and just wanted a shower . The lady at the desk was rude and laughed when I voiced my issues.

Absolutely terrible. Checked in and seemed to be an inconvenience to the people working. Room keys did not work so went back and asked. Was told obviously I was doing something wrong. After arguing they rekeyed the cards and I went back to try again. After finally getting in the room there was no lightbulbs in the bathroom. Back down to the desk and told oh yeah we took them out because they didn't work. After 45 minutes and inquiring 3 times about getting it fixed they finally showed up to install a light bulb. Sink backed up and faucet sprayed my shirt more then the sink bowl. Floor was filthy and garbage was found under the bed and desk. Absolutely disgusting room and not to mention the homeless population around the property. Was awoken at 5am with someone pounding on the window asking if someone was inside. Front desk didn't seem to care about the issue or concerns voiced to them. Will never consider this location again. Stay away if you can.

The staff was amazing. We had trouble getting the door to unlock. The desk clerk came up right away and helped us get in our room. They were great.

Typical dirty motel 6 but i didnt appreciate the fact i was given a room with somebody already in it then another room that was non smoking but smelled so bad like cigarettes guess that didnt matter. In all had to change rooms 3 times and then then end of each day the room key would not work and several people couldn't even get into their rooms. Overall pretty piss poor time. Typical motel 6 otherwise, a bed to spend the night in and not much else

I don't know what the Motel 6 chain is like in general now, but this one is a dump staffed by people who don't care. I was first given a smoking room despite reserving nonsmoking; however, when I went to the room it was not even cleaned yet. Then I was given a nonsmoking room which was just being finished (at 10PM, despite checkout time of 11AM). I stood outside the door in the cold and rain while it was finished. It seemed reasonably clean after that. However, there was no soap nor cup provided, so I could not really wash in the shower and had to use an old water bottle for drinking. The sink faucet had no aerator so the water shot out in a high speed stream that splashed all over the place. Finally, the entire exterior area of the property is filthy. It is clear that nobody cares about this place.

Didn’t stay here. I walked in and asked to cancel the reservation. The building was sketchy, and the front desk was unmanned. There were two people in front of me but the sign said “back in five.” Clerk seemed disinterested and was texting at the same time I was talking to her; she said I would get a refund. What do I need to do to get my money back?

The staff was very accommodating and held my room for me till 230 am cause my flight was delayed due to weather AND equipment repairs. The phone in the room didn’t work, and the TV remote had dead batteries. Even that late the night girl came and put in a new phone and all even though her shift was over. I didn’t feel well while I was there, had travelled a lot was jetlsgged and something I ate— I needed to be left alone and the cleaning staff were super helpful to not bother me but make sure to here wasn’t any thing I needed. I checked out a day early and even though it was supposed to be non refundable, the girl that evening around 6 pm said that if I requested a refund for the one night through Expedia then she’d make sure I got it. She just couldn’t do it herself because I booked through Expedia. I still need to go on the site and request the refund. It was very clean, quiet. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good A/C or heat, weather kept changing. It was a 10 minute Uber to Phoenix Airport. When I could get out and around there was restaurants, my Bank card others, hardware store, pharmacy— everything within a 5 minute walk. Area was safe and pretty for Tempe AZ. Nothing but great things to report.

Well the only good thing about this place was that I asked for a quiet room they delivered on that. I asked for no smoking room that was a joke it reaked of smoke and it made my asthma flair up so I didn’t sleep as well the place was old and not very clean and had a lot of homeless people around and probably drug users pretty sure I should have spent the extra twenty dollars and stayed somewhere better!!

The location is close to restaurants, gas, the freeway. But make sure you lock your car doors, and don't leave anything to temp thieves to break in! I hear that they trying to keep people who will park and use the free wifi away and off the property.

Not really sure what people expect from a Motel 6. It was a place to sleep. It is really close to the Arizona Mills mall so that was really nice.

Staff were very nice. Location is convenient to ASU and the airport, but there's quite a bit of road noise, whichever room you get.

As soon as we got there, we felt unsafe due to some people in and around the building. This feeling was confirmed some hours later, when several policemen came in to the motel for a blitz. The room was not clean at all, and for sure, vastly more expensive that it should have been. The only reason why we didn't left the hotel was that after the police blitz we felt a little more protected, and that the associates at the lobby were kind and warm.

Great property, very clean and nice! Perfect location!

Never been as scared in a hotel before. On my floor there was a person laying on the floor near the elevator, who tried to stop me from getting into my room. 30min to an hr later someone started knocking on my door and trying to come in. I am scared of falling asleep and maybe those latches not being good enough, and actually thankful that I get to leave at 5am, when I hope people will be asleep and will be safer to get back to my car.

I’ve stayed at this property before and I like how it’s no frills and very convenient to the airport if you have an early flight.

The dirtiest hotel I’ve ever seen. Toilet looked like it’s never been been cleaned. Office locked in the mornings often and no coffee available. When coffee is available, there are no lids for the coffee. Area does not seem safe. Changed hotels

Good coffee. Never cleaned our room because I paid in advance. Not convenient. It was not exactly cheap. A lot of noise, people smoking everywhere and all kinds of things. I would not stay there again.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at,it was way over priced, bad neighborhood , the beds had Two to Three inch sags on each side,no coffee anywhere not even in the office. Definitely a must avoid

I had a nice experience with the cleaning lady, but the room was not ready as expected. I showed up an hour early and was told I could pay $20 to check in early, I was tired from flying all day so I agreed. The attendant said there was nothing available so I had to leave and come back because there is no room in the lobby to wait. I came back and it was busy, the manager was friendly but irresponsible because she confirmed the room was ready and sent me to a room where the maid was just beginning to clean. There was dried toothpaste spit on the bathroom sink, the tub and counter had not been sanitized or cleaned. The floor had not been swept or mopped and the cleaning lady was just finishing making the bed. The room smelled as if someone was smoking and the blanket had cigarette burns. The cleaning lady was very apologetic and wondered why the attendant hadn't sent me to another room because there were others that were already cleaned. The area in the stairwells smelled of marijuana and were dark, I did not feel comfortable going to the vending machines because of the sketchy element around the motel. There was no coffee in the lobby when I went down to check out but the cleaning lady offered me a cup she said was in the back of the office! She gave me the coffee and asked if I wanted cream and sugar, I told her I would get it from the lobby but that was gone when I returned!! I had to ask the attendant to go back and get me some which she did do. Very disappointed.

My nonsmoking room smelled like an ashtray. When I mentioned it to the desk agent, who was very cheerful, the reply was “some people can be so inconsiderate, can’t they?” Multicolor mildew all over the bathroom ceiling. Nothing felt entirely clean, though the only bugs were drain flies - no roaches or spiders - yay? All of the furnishings were very tired, though I was glad that there was no upholstery or carpet, as those would’ve been gross. On the bright side, the water pressure was great (the bathroom sink regularly sprayed all over the place with tremendous force), the a/c unit dutifully gave me 68°, and the bed was comfortable enough, even though I could feel the mattress springs when sitting on the bed. Nothing more damning than faint praise, eh? At over $150/night during spring break, it was the least expensive option within miles, and I regret not paying more for even average accommodations.
