Decent stay for a single night. Room is very old and pretty run down, with the amount of carpet staining one would expect from the cheapest hotel in town. Mini fridge was kind of ew, but again, no surprise there. Sheets and towels had some yellow staining, but were clean and smelling of bleach. Water in the shower was akin to a firehose, which felt AMAZING after a long road trip. Front office lady was kind, and they offer pet friendly rooms. Be aware that pet fee is requested in cash. Lots of homeless and druggies in the parking lot at night giving it a sketchy feeling, but I survived, so that’s a perk.

Although the Motel is old and run down, there is ample parking for our pickup and U-Haul trailer. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is comfortable. The air conditioner was a steady hum instead of the condenser surging and waking you up all night. We would definitely stay here again because the price is so economical.

It was the cheapest place in Raton NM, it looked like a 70s throwback but in the hood, the front desk worker was cool, the room looked like it had not been updated in many years, but was actually pretty comfortable.

Very nice & friendly, allowed us to check in early. Bed was comfortable & clean. Area was quiet enough. Nice stop for tired travelers, not fancy but it was restful on a budget.

It's not the nicest place in town, but if you're not prissy and don't mind an older motel, it's by far one of the best values for money. It's locally owned, not corporate, the people are down to earth and nice, and a breath of fresh air. The room was really big with space for my kids to run and play. And I could back my vehicle right up to my room to unload all my suitcases. I would come back. Great price.

This is the worst motel we've ever visited. Dirty. Unkempt. Dated. Sketchy. We had no door lock other than a chain latch, and the chain latch was only held in by one screw which was halfway pulled out of the wall. I had to repair it myself but it still wasn't ever going to be secure. Thank god for #2. There was trash all over the parking lot and the dirt lot by our room. See the pics. The dumpster from the nearby business was overflowing. So.... Much... Trash... The room was cleaned, but the sheet were stained, the carpet was gross (not just old, but greasy), the bath tile grout was painted (!!!?) and half the paint had worn off so it looked awful. There was no spot in the shower to put soap. The owner promised us that she wouldn't rent the room above us (noise) but two people stayed up there all night making noise while smoking outside the rooms. I'm not easily skieved, but I surely was in the morning after a shower because anywhere I stepped would feel like I was dirty again. Yuch. I honestly would have left except that we had a dog and Hotels.com would still have charged me for the room. This may be the last Hotels.com room we ever book because I was lied to about the condition (and I don't like the rewards program anymore).

This was probably the worst experience of my life. First of the rooms are disgusting. The carpets are all stained and patched together. It smells wet and musty in the rooms. The air conditioner blew out dust and dirt when it was turned on. The windows don’t have locks on them they are “secured” by curtains. I didn’t even get into the bed. We ended up just leaving because it was making my mom sick. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The staff was great, but the property is a bit old and needs a good remodeling, the light in the restroom wasn't working, and it wasn't the bulb that was bad, it was some kind of issue with the switch or wiring itself, the room had carpet floor but fills like there is tile floor under the carpet. Otherwise it was clean with no strange odors. for the price and a single night, it was good.

The room was in suboptimal condition. Broken window, smelled like smoke and it was a nonsmoking room. The AC unit made continual noise, hard to sleep as a consequence. Not sure how it received a high rating.

This is an old motel that needs major updating. The room was rather big but it was dingy with stained carpet. The windows were held shut by metal clothes hangers. The beds were clean with white sheets. There are several other hotels in the area but everything was booked. So this was our last option. We slept fine and that's all we really needed. The water pressure in the shower was enormous! It almost shot my eye out, so be aware.

The staff was great and friendly. The room smelled, the door only partially locked, the electrical should be updated, the shower leaked, it seemed unsafe. The motel reminded me of the old movies where shooting would happen. For the price it was not bad for this economy.

The place didn’t have my reservation, and didn’t have rooms available when I tried to check in. Was also told I’d have to wait an hour or two til a clean room was available at 930pm at the time. Also didn’t get a full refund due to there discrepancies

I didn’t even check in!!! want a refund!!!! horrible horrible customer service. No one attentive to the front desk a lady came out told her I was checking in and told me I had to ring the door bell outside to get someone to come kept pushing the door bell and no one came didn’t have the patience to be waiting for them in the cold weather to come at their given time when I had check in at 3pm! Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

New Landlords are just getting started and bend over backwards to grant every request. They are doing their best to clean it up and decorate it, fix things, etc. quickly. I'd stay there again, especially for the price!

It was the cheapest place in Raton NM, it looked like a 70s throwback but in the hood, the front desk worker was cool, the room looked like it had not been updated in many years, but was actually pretty comfortable.

Don’t expect anything fancy and you’ll be fine. A young couple is working to make this place better and the motel deserves patronage while they upgrade it. Very nice, hardworking owners. My room was very clean and cute, also spacious and bright. The bed was comfortable and the tv worked perfectly. The motel is also conveniently located close to the interstate, with gas stations and restaurants very close.

Very nice & friendly, allowed us to check in early. Bed was comfortable & clean. Area was quiet enough. Nice stop for tired travelers, not fancy but it was restful on a budget.

It was a decent place to stay but was very dated and no curtain on the bathroom window. The surrounding area was just a bit run down looking.

When we arrived there was an ongoing argument, which the nice staff member called a local dispute. The window to our room was broken and then glued back together. Parts of the floorboard are sagging. Shower was defaulted to ultra-jet spray-cone. No more dead skin. The town surrounding it was not pedestrian friendly. Ok value overall for the money.

Convenient to the interstate, gasoline and fast food. It was priced right for the one night I was in Raton while traveling. The room was spacious and with a kitchen--I got an upgrade without asking.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you only have about $60 and need a place to bathe and sleep, this place is for you. If you have $100, seek shelter elsewhere. I was holding off on my review until I was sure no bedbugs appeared. Now that I am satisfied that I am free of bugs, I will give them more credit. The place was...questionable. Soft flooring, as in rotting and spongy. Everything was held together or in place with caulking: Sinks, tub, toilet, windows, "window" air-conditioner. BUT, it was clean-ish. The sheets and towels were clean and the bed actually comfortable. The hot water worked and the toilet flushed, though when you sat on it it rocked and wiggled like a little kid ride in the playground. Unless I am flat broke, I will not choose this little gem again. (Robin Hood Inn was booked and MicroTel is getting too expensive for what they have to offer). If I owned and ran this place, the government would shut me down. I do not know how these nice people are getting away with it, but God bless them.

The door did not close properly, they do not have the extra security lock for you, there are homeless people hanging out on the couch along side of the building, the toilet in the bathroom would break if a heavy set person sat on it, broken tiles all over, sink holes in the fall under the carpet, and best of all NO SMOKE ALARM!!!! DO NOT STAY!!!

When we arrived, it took a while to get the attention of an attendant because there was no one on the office or watching the front desk. One the attendant finally came, she said the room wasn't ready (check in time was 3:00, we got there around) 3:30 because they were repairing a hole in the wall. She asked if we could come back in half an hour. I had kids in the car that needed to use a bathroom (no lobby bathroom). So we had to walk to the gas station next door. The parking lot was rough and torn up. Just seemed overall like not a good place to stay. So, even though it was non refundable, we found another hotel. Would appreciate a refund...
